Nickname: None, she just goes by Rose

Age: 20

Sex: Female

Relationship: None yet

Gear: For weapons, she has a pistol (She doesn't have much gun knowledge, she just knows how to shoot) and a survival knife. Rose has a black hiking backpack, compass, water canteen (she looted from an outdoor store), and a few cans of food.

Race: Caucasian

Back story: Rose was your average college student. She was halfway through school to become an elementary school teacher. But then the shift happened and ruined all that for her. Now all that matters are the parts of your life that prepared you to survive. Rose's father was big into the outdoors. He dragged her camping every year. He tried to teach her how to survive; track, hunt, make fire, etc. Rose was never very interested, but she still had to go every year until she turned 18. She is by no means a survival expert because she never payed much attention to her father, but she does have some knowledge that she happened to remember from her childhood.

Quirks and personality: Rose is very caring. She likes to hear other's opinions and is often a good mediator during conflict. She doesn't want to be taken advantage of by other's, so she often tries to put up a tough, mean front. She uses sarcasm frequently to help achieve this.

Since the world went to shit, surviving is her top priority. Rose isn't very trusting and won't hesitate to act if she thinks she's being played or manipulated. While Rose might not be very strong, she's quick; able to get in and out easily.

While I don't feel this really should have to be pointed out, I would request that this thread be moved to the "Free" roleplay section, as it doesn't fit well under the definition of "Casual" threads. It's important that Users adhere to the guidelines set by the Guild, one very important guideline being the separation of roleplays by quality.

I can see that you are all a bit unfamiliar with the format and Culture of the Role Player Guild, and I would be more than happy to try and assist you in understanding some of the "unwritten" rules of our Guild. I do want to point out that by no means am I intending to be rude or hostile, quite the contrary actually. I've been using this website for several years now, and I remember how lost and confused I was regarding it's format and use.

Honestly, I happen to agree with you. I've been away for a while, and this is the first game I've involved myself with since returning. Speaking for no one but myself, there's been no offence taken.

I'm totally fine with it. I will admit, I'm new to this site, and pretty inexperienced.

It's totally cool guys, I definitely understand being confused.
Few things first, this roleplay fits in a lot better under the "free" section, which basically means that the size of your posts are up to your own discretion. In the casual section, each post needs to have at least one well-formed paragraph, and post speed is drastically limited compared to free, normally us in casual prefer to wait until 3-4 others have posted before making another post. The Advanced section is a bit intimidating, as posts there are preferred to be 6+ paragraphs per post.
Another thing, the FIRST OC post for any thread is the RP's Introduction, this is where you explain the Plot, Setting, Timeframe, Character Skeleton etc. After a character is written up, it has to be posted to the OC for approval, once approved they're moved to the Character section.
While this isn't technically a rule, it is a basis that everyone on this website operates from; Roleplays here are primarily character driven, while the GM does have control over the over-arching plot, we GMs don't lead the rp the way @Patient 43Delta has been doing. I've seen that you'll post events in the IC.
For example:

Off in the distance, X heard a scream, a human scream. Followed by the scream of A feral and a few gun shots. It came from down the street towards the old market.

This style of directing the RP is incredibly uncommon, and will actually scare a lot of RPers away from participating. The GM's have to be much subtler about leading their RPs, and can't directly state random events affecting characters. Instead, the characters will have to create what is happening around them, Instead of being told so by the GM.

There actually aren't any ways to move the thread, you'd have to simply create a new one in the free section.

Oh, I see. That's awfully inconvenient, but perhaps for the best. It would give me the opportunity to help Delta prepare this thing a little better, at any rate. Ultimately, it's his call as to what he wants to do.

Yes, I saw that. Funny how characters sometimes take a completely different road than we originally plan for them, isn't it?

Keep in mind, though, we may go ahead and reboot this into the Free section. I haven't spoken to Delta or DriveEmOut since yesterday, so I don't know how they feel about it yet, but I think it'll be a good move to make. Of course, it'll come down to whatever Delta wants to do. I don't know anything, I just work here. XD
