@Jbcool

I sent you a character... Inspired by the idea we will be having an Abhuman regiment, I decided to make one myself... only this one for a Beastmen Regiment. Before people blam me, Beastmen are an accepted Abhuman strain... through they will almost certainly be sent in first and the Guard might not stop shelling the enemy while doing it.

Considering the ideology of the First Helhiem Warband, that's perfectly alright with them.

...I thought that this was a reboot.

Edit: But yes, Belgond died. He sadly wasn't found in time in the field before he bled out from his injuries. He died to ensure that the line held and did his Regiment proud.

@Bright_Ops

I read that Beastmen in general were shunned and barred entrance to the Imperial Guard. More than regular abhumans, since people feared them corrupted by Chaos.

They did serve during the Emperor' time, but not anymore. (Tyvm crazy Ecclesiarchy and religious nuts)

Then you'll also know that they can be recruited, as with any other Abhumans, they're just usually formed into suicide squads and sent into the teeth of the enemies guns...or teeth.

Can everyone PLEASE READ the OP before doing anything else, our battle against the Greenskins is done, as this RP picks up at the end of the last one - basically we're just all lining up outside the re-taken capital city in an 'end of campaign' assembly.

@Jbcool

Is it a requirement to know the previous, RP?

Or just know the basic lore of WH40k?

Both is good.

If you've read the IC part of the first post then you should be fine, but a quick summary is this...

- The Vernum System was under attack by the forces of Warboss Mug Thrakta.

- A crusade was called by the High Lords, under the command of Lord General Militant Egough Van Deer, to cleanse the system.

- The final battle has taken place on Vernum Primas, the captial planet of the system, and where the last RP was set and began/ended.

- ALL the regiments (or what's left of them) that took part in the Crusade, which has lasted some twenty years overall, are now being assembled on the trench-crossed fields outside Vernum Primas to recieve commendations and so forth; this will all be covered in my first post.

Most players will be beginning here, and that's fine, as your regiment/warband/troop is likely to have fought the Orks in other battles of the campaign - so feel free to make those up yourselves - before being bought to Vernum Primas for this parade.

As I was going to originally, we will be forming a 'combined regiment' and going from there, so your own regiment will likely have taken massive casualties fighting the Orks throughout the Crusade.

Does this make sense, @NecroKnight, @Bright_Ops, and @agentmanatee and anyone else?

It makes perfect sense. Permission to have my 'Warband' suffer heavy losses fighting for control of the largest (and most important) power plant on Vernum Primas? I can just picture this insanely large dam/power plant that the Imperium can't shell or bomb because it's to damn important to risk... so the melee fighting Beastmen are being sent in to dig the bastards out.

@NecroKnight

...How do the cat people feel about fighting a bunch of large, green skinned monsters in melee range without armored support? Sure my beastmen are going to do the bulk of the heavy lifting but I'm sure there are going to be plenty of green skinned monsters to go around for your kitty cats to be thrown into the meat grinder.

I can just picture the collab. The remaining Beastman having grouped up from their hunting packs at this one corridor that leads into the inner workings of the dam where the remaining orks have dug in and set up their defenses... before they stand to the side and let the cat people charge forwards. It will not be pretty.

Good thing I am medic. I will crawl on the ground past your corpses.

Or drag what is left of you back to the line. Or do a Commissar for blaming.

@NecroKnight@Bright_Ops Well, the campaign against the Orks is over...for now; who knows where you'll be sent next?

I do.
