“They were never scared of the kids who might die, or the empty spaces they would leave behind. They were afraid of us-the ones who lived.”

"No matter who or what you are. They didn't care. To them we are monsters. To them we are a threat. At least that's what they say to themselves to justify what they've done. Despite your background we've all ended up on the same road. The path they have forced us down brought us together for a reason. Let's make that a reason we choose."
Two years ago

Sleeping in your bed, on the way to school, resting at home it didn't matter. Eventually they came as they did for all the other children. At least for all the children still living. Whether it was expected or not the outcome was the same. Men and women clad in all black military garb gathered you along with many other children your age and stuffed you into an old community gym for about a day.

The atmosphere was chilling. No talking, no moving around, nothing. Even the bruised and battered kids weren't given any medical attention. At about midnight it seemed was when everyone was finally moved. Walking outside you saw long lines of buses. Some already had kids within them. You, along with all the other kids, were jammed into a bus that had been slightly modified. There was a gate in the front and two guards with M16's along with the driver carrying a pistol stared each of you down as you entered the bus and forced to sit. The drive was quiet except for a few younger kids silently whimpering. It was like this for a few hours.

When the bus finally slowed to a stop you noticed the sun peaking through a few storm clouds. How long had you been near all these people and didn't know a single name? As you exited the bus a PSF pushed you towards a somewhat medium sized building. It looked like an old administration building. As you walked in the building an overpowering smell of permanent marker and rubbing alcohol filled your nose. You could see kids standing in lines and others walking out of side offices. The ones in lines were forced into rooms just as others left them. Those that had left the rooms had some colored X's on their backs. A majority of the older kids eyed the X's knowing exactly what they meant.

There were five colors in all. Green's and Blue's had no difference other than the X on their back. Yellow's had rubber gloves on their hands. Red's were handcuffed around the back. While Orange's had some sort of muzzle while also being handcuffed. No one smiled. The place around you was full of tension and fear coming from both sides.

Just as your group that you entered the building with was about to start being examined something happened. Suddenly from the back of the room and from a few of the side rooms surges of electricity shot out. The whole building felt like a large magnet in a matter of moments. Then fire burst onto multiple PSF's causing them to writhe in pain. A kid in the back who had his hand on the neck of a PSF screamed, "Everyone RUN NOW!"

Some kids did as he said. A few dropped to the ground in a panic. Some stood in shock. It didn't matter what you did because seconds after the kid yelled to everyone a shot rang out through the room and a noise that seemed to be produced directly inside your brain caused you and all the other children to writhe in pain. Some instantly began vomiting. The experience was horrid.

After a few minutes the noise stopped and despite the echoing effect of the pain in between your ears you were able to stand when a PSF lifted you to your feat. In front of everyone were five guys, one shot, and a few PSF's with an important looking man standing near them. "I was planning on waiting to introduce myself to you all after everyone was screened, but it seems I may need to tell do this now."

He walked back and forth in front of you all. "Listen up! I am Lieutenant Colonel Aiden Anderson. Here, my word is law. As long as you do what I say your time here will be at least slightly pleasant. Now, every last one of you look at these five and listen to what I say. Never try to escape, hurt a PSF, or break any rules set before you. Otherwise, this will happen to you." He signaled to the PSF's standing behind the five. The guards swiftly moved into action beating the kids as a punishment. Once they were done all five were bound and moved out of the building. Anderson looked at the kids before him and said, "I recommend you forget about your lives before now because that is gone. Today begins the rest of your life. Get use to it." The man left after setting a large ultimatum over each of your heads. What shall you do now?

@JackalopeLoveGeneva Hodgins

After a few more moments you are called forward and led to a small room holding only a desk and a table with some device on it. An older woman wearing a lab coat looks to you and says, "Hello. I need your name and if you would so kindly lay on that table there. I need to scan your brain real quick to make sure everything is all right." Whether you do these actions quickly or slowly doesn't affect the woman much. She appears to be half asleep right now. After the machine is done scanning you she asks you a few questions pertaining to your memory and puzzle solving skills. Once she's done with you she gives you a few clothes and marks a Green X on your back then sends you on your way.

@MechonRaptorLeo Rooke

Instantly after the Lieutenant Colonel left the room the non-injured PSF's began moving again as if nothing had happened. One grabs a hold of your arm and leads you to a side room shoving you inside. A short hyper man is instantly in your face. Asking you all sorts of rapid fire questions. He seems to be in a rush and wants to be done with you as quick as possible. He practically forces you onto a table with some sort of machine on it. Once the machine stops he asks for your name and then walks behind you marking a Blue X across your back. Then just like that you are shoved right back outside the room.

@PatrickDrummerTre Armstrong

Once you realized the PSF's didn't seem to care about their injured the boy standing in front of you has been pulled away. You have only to wait mere seconds before it is your turn to be moved to a room. Whether you realize it or not this is one of the rooms that one of those boys burst out of earlier. A middle aged man stands in front of a device looking very pissed right now. He barely said anything just motioning for you to lay down under a sizable machine. As you lay down everything starts to feel weird. You feel the electricity emanating from the table and device. This must have been where the boy was when he blasted out electricity. The man begins to turn on the device only to be shocked by the device. He yells, "GET AWAY FROM THE SCANNER!" Once you do as he says he asks, "Whats your name, brat?" He then proceeds to take a yellow marker an put a large X on your back then hands you rubber gloves. "Wear these at all times. If you are seen without them on you'll be punished. Now GET OUT!" The man was obviously on edge.

@BassDroppJamie Wolfe

You are given a good amount of time after everything that just happened due to being towards the back of the line before being moved into a room. Once you enter a younger woman is sitting behind a desk typing away on a laptop. Without looking at you she asks for your name and instructs you to lay on the examination table. She simply waits silently pecking away at the keyboard until you answer and does as she says. Once the scanner completes its job she asks if you could showcase your ability. Whether you do this or not she still places a Blue X on your back and instructs you on what you are to do next.

@alexfangtalonAlex Hill

After the scene that happened before you a PSF grabs you and takes you to a different smaller room. There a plump older man looks at you and request you give him your name and asks for your color. Whether you respond to the color question or not he has you lay on a table and proceeds to scan you. When the machine finishes it's job the man shoves rubber gloves at you. Once you grab them he turns you around marking a yellow X on your back. He then says, "Don't remove those and you'll be fine."

@alexfangtalonKatie Pruett

You have time to gather yourself after watching the scene unfurl before you. After a few minutes a PSF pulls you into a small room. The young woman gets straight to business and requests your name and tells you to lay under a machine to be scanned. After a few seconds the machine finishes whirring and the woman forcefully marks a Blue X on your back then ushers you out.

All of you, whether those last few moments were smooth or not, were lead out of the building along with other kids by some PSF's. Walking outside going past a few more buildings and some tents something clearly noted by all are the large numbers of PSF's and the tall barbed wire fences surrounding nearly everything.

You walk down a path way and then are separated into groups of ten. You are then moved into a cabin alongside those nine other kids. Tension and fear is high, but does anyone dare speak?

James Wolfe

"Nothing is ever really over until you stop trying."

James awoke to pain on a cold gymnasium floor. His left eye was swollen shut and his lip was split and caked with dried blood. With his vision blurred it was difficult to take in his surroundings, which set off a burning sense of hatred of the PSF's in his stomach.

I am not some sort of animal that they can just push around!

His hands were in handcuffs behind his back, the cold metal biting into the soft skin of his wrists to the point that any friction caused bleeding. Looking around, he noticed a couple of other kids were handcuffed like himself. He figured they were the more "rebellious" kids, who gave the soldiers a hard time during their capture. James didn't know how long he had been unconscious, but the gnawing feeling of hunger in his stomach told him it must have been a while.

Although Wolfe would never admit it, a part of him was very afraid for his future. Was he going to die today? Was he going to be put in one of those "reform camps" for the rest of his life? His questions would he answered soon enough, the PSF's were here, and they started directing the children outside. James was hauled to his feet by a particularly aggressive soldier and James struggled against the much larger, stronger man, until a swift backhand to his injured face silenced him. Angry tears welled up from his swollen eye and he had to bite his tongue to keep from crying out. Jamie promised himself that he wouldn't show weakness, he wouldn't show how much he was hurting.

Biting back the tears now, James was ushered into a bus with the other kids. The ride was the worst part, the silence and overwhelming sense of fear had everyone on edge. At least they had removed his cuffs, he sat in his seat nursing his friction-burnt wrists. Part of him was tempted to boot to the back of the bus and kick out the back door. He probably would have, but the PSF with a gun in the back seat stopped him from doing something stupid. Part of him was frustrated by how helpless he was.

Arriving at Du Pont Camp put the reality of his situation square on James' shoulders. The magnitude of how fucked he was finally set in. Looking around just freaked him out more. The large walls with the guard towers, the shear amount of soldiers with guns and weapons. The smells, the look of fear on the new kids and the look of numbness on the older kids that only came with seeing a lot of bad things happen. Wolfe also noted the colored X's on kids' backs. He didn't know what they meant but he soon would.

Inside the examination building, James waited impatiently towards the back of his line. He just wanted to get this over with, if he was going to die they should just kill him already! Jamie was an inch away from pushing his way through the line and getting it over with when a commotion broke out. There was yelling and a couple kids sprinted in random directions, while others dropped to the ground. James' knees bent in preparation to take off as well, not having a plan besides not wanting to be in that damn building.

One step into his sprint, James was brought down to his knees by a horrid sound that jarred every nerve and bone in his body. Every part of him screamed in agony, until the sound ebbed away. Once it felt like his brain wasn't being split in two. James sat up, cheeks wet with more tears. He had cried more in the span of a few days than he had in his whole life.

Being jerked to his feet brought him back to reality. Whatever plan the boys had to escape had failed miserably. Now they were on their knees in front of everyone. An intimidating man announced himself as the king of Du Pont Camp, and explained that if he was disobeyed then certain punishment would follow. The kids who had lead the small riot were then brutally beaten. James unconsciously took a step forward. "let them g-" Wolfe had tried calling out but was cut off by a brutal hit to his ribs by a baton from one of the PSF's.

James sank to his knees for the second time and was once again yanked to his feet, this time by his hair. He was left there, and the only thing left to do was wait for his turn.

Inside the examination room, a young woman sat at a desk, typing furiously. She asked him for his name and ordered him to lay on the examination table.

"James Wolfe," he managed to croak out.

Some sort of machine scanned him and once it was finished the lady asked if he could show her his abilities. James' anger flared again and he flung out a hand toward the woman. She skid across the floor in her chair until her back touched the wall. The woman made a squeal but collected her self faster than he anticipated. The lady stormed over to him and whirled him around so she could make a giant blue letter X on his back. She then told him to leave before she called soldiers to come punish him. Wolfe grinned devilishly for the first time in a while, and stomped out.

Jamie was lead out of that building and was moved yet again to somewhere new. They were split up into two groups of ten and put into separate cabins. For the first time in 3 days, James wasn't being watched by soldiers. He looked around at the other boys with him, almost like he was sizing them up. "Well... This sucks," he said, stating the obvious. James probably looked a mess. One eye was swollen shut, already turning black, his lip was busted, and if someone was to lift up his shirt, his ribs would be a vibrant red where the PSF had hit him with the nightstick.

Leo Lapis Rooke

“I gave up trying to get my old life back a long time ago...”

All Leo could do was stare at the floor of his bed, eyes wide in disbelief that he was going to be taken... Taken by mysterious strangers, given away by his family... Isolated. He didn't want to accept it. He had worked so hard to be a child that his parents would care for, someone that they'd love and he would be happy from that love. An older brother who would eventually be really smart and be able to help his younger siblings... and yet everything around him was shattering and he could do nothing to defend himself against it. All he could do was stare at the ground, desperate to cry but no tears forming in his eyes. He closed them for a bit when he heard the rushing of footsteps...

There were kids who were handcuffed in the gym. Leo didn't recognize any of them, and those that had them looked battered and beaten. It terrified him. Was the same thing going to happen to him? Was it punishment for not protecting his siblings? All he knew was that he was not allowed to speak, to talk to anyone. Even with so many around him, he still felt lonely, trapped in his own thoughts and left helpless to stare. Leo didn't know how long he was there, numb and scared on the gymnasium floor before they finally began to move once more.

The bus felt cramped and awful, but Leo dared not to move. He was too terrified to do so, having noticed those armed with guns. He didn't know what kind of guns, but he knew that they were weapons, and they weren't there for protecting him or any of the children. It made him think that they were just going to be driven off somewhere, towards a desert or something, and killed... It gave him shivers just thinking about it. His heart ached for those younger than him, whimpering behind him. He thought that they must be even more lost, scared, and confused than he was. They reminded him of Skyla, his sister who died while he was reading to her to try to calm her down. He wanted to try and comfort them, but his own sorrow planted him in his place, knowing fully well that he would most likely be hurt or dead if he even moved. So he stayed still as a statue, his eyes gazing out the window...

Leo froze when the electricity and fire went around the room. What was going on? Why was there electricity and fire? Why were people wanting to run? A small voice inside him said to do so as well, but then he realized he had nowhere to run to. Where would he go? How would they escape this place? Why would they want to escape it? So far, all that has happened was silence and a sinking feeling of despair, but was that really bad? At least they were alive. Or maybe they wanted to die... Did they have hope that things would be different away from here? Leo could not answer any of these questions, and in an instant he fell to the floor, attempting to cover his ears from the excruciating pain he felt inside his head. he didn't know what he had done wrong, but he was immediately sorry for it. He thought that it was for thinking of escaping, that they had somehow known his tiny thought and were punishing him for it. He wanted to plead for forgiveness, but all he could do was scream in pain on the ground.

They must have heard him again, for the pain finally subsided, leaving behind a shell of a boy. He didn't want to get up, but someone made him. He couldn't believe his eyes with what was ahead. Lieutenant Colonel Aiden Anderson, standing behind a group of 5 kids, one of which was shot, explaining the rules or guidelines of the place, one of which gave Leo a spark of hope. So long as he did what he was told, his time here wouldn't be that bad. Maybe it'd be like school, but with less talking and less death and despair...

The man was quite energetic, or maybe hyper? Leo wasn't sure, only that it was making his time in this strange room go awfully quick.
"What do you do?"
"I...I moved something?"
"Ah... so a blue..."
"Um..."
"How old are you?"
"13"
He was then in the machine...
"What's your name?"
"Leo Rooke."
"Good good, now get out."

He wasn't really sure what just happened, other than that he was classified as a blue with a blue x on him. They were separated... But it was here that Leo realized something. Nowhere else in the world wanted him, nowhere but this place. Here he was wanted, and a small, almost unseen smile arose, which quickly broke when someone spoke. Looking up, he hardly reacted to the kid's bruises and beaten up state. He was already in shock, and he didn't think it could get any worse.
It... It may not be all that bad if we listen to them... He thought, remembering this was a kid who had slightly moved in line, only to be hit and fall to his knees. Leo wasn't sure what to think of him... He didn't seem like a bad kid, even if he was beaten... Maybe he was just misunderstood? But he didn't follow the rules, and that was slightly scary to Leo. He didn't want to look like that kid looked, and it only gave him more incentive to stay quiet for now.

Geneva Hodgins

"Repression is the only lasting philosophy." -Charles Dickens A Tale of Two Cities

Geneva zipped up her backpack and tossed it over her shoulder, she didn’t understand the situation fully but she understood what was needed. When she found out that her parents gave her away to the men, it did not come as a shock. They were promised that she would be taken care of and they were going to help, and maybe no one really believed them but every single person wanted to. A voice rang out to Geneva telling her it was time to go. There was no struggle it was almost tragically beautiful, the young girl being escorted out of her home by two men while her mother sobs into her father’s chest and there were almost no sounds except for the footsteps towards the door and the gentle sobs from her mother.

Geneva looked around the gym, each kid was silent and it was hard to tell if they were even real, all of them so young and terrified of what comes next. Some of the kids looked beaten and bloodied, most of the wounds seemed to be defensive. More than likely those were the children that refused to corporate. She stared at the injured kids, they refused to give in and they fought for it even though they were outnumbered, and that really intrigued Geneva.

Then everyone began to move onto the busses, Geneva stared at each weapon as she walked onto the bus. There was something about the look of a gun, it was a tool made to kill, there is no other purpose but the way it looked, it was not a monster instead it was a bunch of springs and hammers crafted together. It is never the gun that kills someone, instead, it is the person that pulls the trigger and the way this situation was going and the look of the guards, it was clear that these guns were in dangerous hands. Geneva looked down at her feet until she sat down next to the window, then she started out it aimlessly watching the world go by for hours.

As the buses stopped and everyone was lead out in lines, tensions were still high, but they were at their destination it seemed. As she waited in line with the rest of her group, chaos erupted. Something happened, an electrical explosion from one of the rooms, then some of the PSFs were set a flame someone called for everyone to run. Geneva glanced around to see what others were doing, some began to run while others got on the floor, before Geneva could even decide what to do, the noise started. It seemed to happen inside her head, she reached to cover her ears but it did not affect the noise, she fell to her knees while holding her head trying to silence the sound. This pain was unbearable and inescapable, she fell completely on the ground still grasping at her ears to figure out a way to mute the screaming inside her head.

Then it stopped, she was red from crying and her ears were bright red from the pressure she was pushing on them. As she got herself back up and wiped the tears from her eyes she saw a line of kids and some men standing with them, she could only assume that they were the ones that started the attack. A man started talking and introduced himself, he seemed to be in charge of everyone else including the kids, then he ordered the PSF’s to beat the 5 kids and then remove them from the rest. Geneva watched in horror as the kids were beaten, she hated violence and to see children beaten by adults made her feel sick.

After a few moments, she was called into a small room where a woman was waiting for her. As Geneva entered the room, the door closed behind her quickly and made her jump, the woman looked tired and then says: "Hello. I need your name and if you would so kindly lay on that table there. I need to scan your brain real quick to make sure everything is all right."

Geneva blinked a few times still shaken up from the events outside, but she swallowed that feeling and began to move towards the table. She sat down on the table and looked down at her feet, and said in a very quiet voice “My name is Geneva Hodgins.” Then she laid down and let the woman run her tests. It did not take long before the scan was completed, then there were a few memory and puzzle tests. It was almost like kid’s games, word search, math problems and spot the difference, these were extremely easy for Geneva and took her a few seconds to complete them and then the woman drew a green X on her back and sent her on her way.

Then Geneva and 9 other girls were lead into a cabin, it was a small room and everyone seemed very upset and confused. Everything that happened was horrifying, and now they are categorizing children by X’s, which Geneva still didn’t fully understand what her X even meant. Geneva walked over to an area and sat down on whatever she could find, just to rest and think about everything she witnessed. She started to look at the other girls in the room, they all seemed to be around her age or even younger. No one seemed like they really wanted to talk, but sitting in silence for hours and witnessing everything that just happened, it seems rather fair not wanting to speak.

Geneva took in a quick breath and opened her mouth and in a thick Swedish accent choking out the words she said “What do you think the man meant when he said that our old lives are gone and today is the beginning of the rest of our lives? Once this is over we can go home right?”

She knew that no one in the cabin knew any more than she did, but she just wanted someone to tell her it was going to be ok. Even if it wasn’t, she just needed to hear it, all she wanted to do now was go home. That was what was keeping her through the hours of silence, the idea that it would eventually end, but if what the man said was true then it sounded like this was never going to end.

Alex Hill

Alex woke up in a groggy state. He could feel the chill of the floor and something around his wrists. He soon realized that he was laying on a gym floor and was handcuffed. Looking around he noticed a few others similarly to him had limited movement. The atmosphere was tense. With the same black armor clad men and women watching over him and many other children, Alex felt anger more than fear. He could fell his hairs standing on the back of his neck, and then they began moving.

How long had he been out for. Walking outside he noticed the sun had already gone down. He remembered being grabbed early in the day. The bus ride wasn't any easier than the gym stay. No one seemed to make a sound save for the few younger ones whimpering silently. Alex didn't know if he should fell sympathy or pity for them, but he knew this wasn't going to get better soon.

When the bus came to a stop and the small rays of sun peaked through Alex got a good look at his surroundings. There was no way he could count all the PSF's around him and the other children. The fences were taller than he could tell from the distance he was, but the barbed wire glistened as if asking for someone to get their skin caught on it's sharp points.

Once in the building the mixture of constant movement, the smell, and his grogginess caused his head to spin a little. When the lightning and fire started shooting around the room Alex quickly dropped to one knee to assess the situation. He couldn't find the source of electricity, but when he saw fire coming out of a boy's hands Alex thought of Sadie and how she had been lying on the ground when he passed out. He had zero time to worry when suddenly a piercing ring shattered through his head.

He fully dropped to the floor trying to cover his ears to no avail. He started to feel a gag reflex when the noise finally stopped. While on the ground he noticed the five perpetrators of the commotion, but once he was pulled to his feet he saw the Lieutenant Colonel. A look of sheer anger appeared on Alex's face at what the man said and had done to the five.

Before he could think of anything else Alex was jerked aside by a PSF and shoved into a room where a man seemed to be waiting. At the man's questions Alex simply responded, "Alex Hill. What do you mean by color?" The man waved his hand and pointed to a machine saying, "Just lay on that table over there."

Alex did as he was instructed just so that he could be done with this quickly. When the man handed Alex the gloves he eyed them with a look of confusion. He was even more confused when the man turned him around and marked the X on his back. Alex slowly shoved his hands into the gloves and left the room.

As he was being moved again alongside the others Alex looked around trying to get a feel of his surroundings. Alex didn't want to stay here long, but there really wasn't anything he could do about that. He just didn't know it. Once they were escorted to cabins and left unsupervised Alex began looking around the small room trying to find a way out. When he found nothing he turned to the others he was trapped with he said, "Yeah, what kind of crap have we found ourselves in?"

Katie Pruett

Katie and her remaining schoolmates had been gathered in the school's auditorium to make it easier on the PSF's to get them at the same time. All the kids looked to their teachers with downtrodden faces and none of the school staff seemed to show any remorse.

In the community gym they had been taken to Sadie sat quietly among her few peers. They were of the first in this transfer group placed within the community gym awaiting transport. Two of the boys had tried to fight back but were shut down quickly and handcuffed. The whole time they were there it was agonizing to just have to sit and wait.

Once they were loaded into the buses Katie had all but lost hope that anyone would be coming to save them. All she could think about was if her mother and sister were safe and about the faces and actions of the school staff she and her peers had so deeply trusted. It wasn't gradual the speed at which she began to hate all adults. She had done NOTHING wrong, but they were treating her and these other kids like this.

A scowl was permanently on her face from the moment she stepped off the bus up until the explosion of chaos in the large room. A boy in front of her began running knocking her to the ground. It wasn't like she wasn't about to be there soon anyways. The sound that assaulted her brain at its very core was excruciatingly painful. Covering her ears didn't seem to help whatsoever.

When the noise finally subsided she slowly began to drag herself to her feet until a PSF pulled her all the way up. The sight before her was revolting to her. How could these people do this? And what did he mean by their old lives were now gone?

Katie takes a few minutes to try and locate her past schoolmates, but can't find any of them before she is rushed over to a side room. Before she can react a woman says something. "Name."

Katie scrunches her face in confusion and says, "Katie Pruett." The woman motions to a device and says, "Lay there so I can scan you." Katie reluctantly does as the woman says in order to avoid punishment. Once the machine finishes the woman marks a Blue X on Katie's back which heavily confuses her then sends her on her way.

The path to the cabins is filled with Katie primarily eyeing the various X's while also occasionally looking at a PSF's gun. Once inside the cabin Katie looks to her fellow cabin mates and replied to the foreign sounding girl, "I don't know what he meant but I'm not staying here long."

Tre Armstrong

"We are not your kind of people."-Himself

Tre awoke raising his head from his curled up position and looked around the gym room he was in. He spotted many other kids all probably feeling what he felt, but he was lying he didn't know how anyone felt but himself. A lot of the kids were in handcuffs whether that was good or bad Tre couldn't figure out. He only knew to stay quiet and obey what he is told.

While other kids moved around trying to shake off the feeling of the cold hard gym floor Tre remained curled up eyeing everyone. Eventually a PSF forced him up and got him in the bus. Tre once seated yet again curled up waiting for the inevitable arrival at the new facility. No one talked only sounds of whimpering filled the air, and Tre was one of them.

The line inside the facility seemed endless and Tre's legs were starting to hurt from all the standing. It was about this time that the lightning and fire started, and Tre was just there caught in the middle not sure whether or not to run or curl up and wait for it to be over. But the luxury of choosing was gone for Tre heard a sharp ringing in his ears which caused him to fall to his knees. The pain was too intense for him he threw up because of it and thankfully the sound stopped at some point.

Tre was ripped off his knees by a PSF who pushed him into a room for his evaluation. He got up on the table and he was gonna get scanned. Fear crawled all over him, would they find out the truth? During the scanning electricity came out of the machine and Tre was told to get away from it. He was asked his name "Tre Armstrong." he said nervously, and after he was given gloves and was marked with an X on his back.

He put the gloves on not wanting to get into trouble. It didn't take long before he was moved again, but this time it was with more kids particularly boys. They were brought to the cabins and placed in one. While a some boys spoke up Tre did his best to sit as far away from the majority of them. He just once again curled up and sat by himself, alone, like he always has.

“Don’t be scared. Don’t let them see.”

Two years passed by slowly. Everyone's lives became monotonous. What made it worse was that everyone was separated. Nine was the largest number of people you could even speak to. You were 'allowed' to work alongside those of the same sex within your age group. Eating was done within an old cafeteria building. Only the restriction of age group was applied here. Male and female ate alongside each other, but a major rule enforced across over the whole camp was no speaking except within your cabin.

Everyone found a way around that. Someone, you don't know who, with the help of their cabin mates developed an unspoken language of foot tapping and knocking on hard objects. It took a long time to get everyone to the point of understanding, but the Oranges helped with that. By now everyone within the camp knows exactly what the colors mean. Some began embracing their categorization and trained every moment that had within their cabin. Some abhorred their abilities pretending nothing was different about them. It didn't really matter though because the hope of escaping was gone from a large majority of the children.

Not all had given up hope, but it was hard not to. Other than the catastrophe from when you first arrived, their was one other attempt to escape. It was by one cabin that had an orange who seemed to have lost his mind. He had become good enough and his cabin mates had lost so much hope that he was able to easily take over their minds and attempt to brake out of the camp. It ended quickly. The moment the ten were spotted outside of their cabin the white noise was turned on, and they were captured

The Lieutenant Colonel decided that from then on that every other week for 15 minuets the white noise would be turned on. It happened randomly but was excruciating. There was no getting use to that kind of pain. No one dared try anything again. Yet, recently a message has been going around that the time was coming. The time to escape. Everyone was informed to get ready for a signal. The origin of this message was unknown but some were able to link the message to the arrival of eight kids. Eventually you and all the other kids noticed that the white noise machines hadn't been turned on in a while. It had been about three weeks since the last time the noise had invaded your ears.

The tension in your cabin has been interesting. All of you and the others in your cabin have been divided right down the middle. Half being compliant with the way things are and accepting your fates. The other half never giving up hope and desiring to leave no matter the cost. Last week the Reds and Oranges of your cabins were taken away. The night that happened was filled with silence. No one knew what to say about it. Even if it was a tiny bit you each hoped they were okay and that the rumors of them being killed off weren't true.

None of you could even try to fall asleep due to the two greens in your cabin, Jackson and Harry, talking up a storm theorizing over the message being passed around the camp. They've done this many nights but tonight it seems even asking them to stop doesn't get them to shut their mouths. One of you is about to finally say something suddenly the ground shakes and you can hear an explosion. You each expect the white noise to come, but you don't hear anything.

Your cabin has been fairly peaceful. Everyone has been fairly kind except for one girl who refuses to speak with anyone else. None of you even know her name. During the two years everyone has supported each other in their own way. A few months ago the Reds disappeared from your cabins. You haven't been able to figure out what happened and it concerns you each.

Tonight the oldest girl in your cabin, Jasmine, who has been voted as the de facto leader of your small group got most of the cabin together to play a small game of truth or dare in an attempt to keep everyone's hopes up. The game is just about to begin when an explosion off in the distant grabs each of your attention. Some of you hunker down anxiously awaiting the white noise. You eventually realize it's not coming and one of the girls, Annabelle, begins walking to the door.

As each of you look out of your cabins you can see PSF's running about and some kids fighting them. Among the kids are even a few adults. What do you choose to do?
