[IC] Pokémon Battle Frontier

"Yeah, and that ribbon is going to be mine." Liam said with a smile.

"If you want that ribbon, you'll have to beat Sashia and me," Shiranui rebutted.

"You'll see." Liam said. After the ceremoniees finished, Liam returned to the Pokémon Center and its gloomy Nurse Joy to get Jiriya and Grimm healed up.

Shiranui returned to the Pokémon Centre to have his Pokémon healed, not wanting to say any longer than necessary due to the sombre atmosphere.

Liam was trying to deduce what Pokémon he would use in the next contest.

Not long after they stop in the Pokemon Center did Sashia and an older Male with Blonde hair walk in. Sashia was celebrating her fourth ribbon as she said "Only one more till I get into the grand festival, I may have lost the one in Aloha and Hoenn but I'm feeling confident about this one just like I was in Johto when I won". She saw Liam and Shiranui, waving to the both of them before she said "Hey guys, I would like you to meet my brother Mike".
The older male bowed to them as he said "Great preformances there in the contest, I noticed you guys were not thrown off by both Sashia Ice Fox and her Z-moves like I see most people do"

"Ice Fox's Z-Move wasn't the first one I was faced with," replied Shiranui, "That honour went to a Primarina I faced in the Vermilion City Contest."

"I had seen the battle, though, this was the first time I dealt with one." Liam admitted. The gloomy Joy of Lavender Town walked up. With her sollem expression she sat down a tray holding the four Pokémon that Shiranui and Liam had used in the contest. She bowed to them and walked off.

Mike nodded as he said "Well, it was certainly a great contest to watch though I'm more of a normal trainer myself. I don't have the time to study and do contests".
"Hey, how about one of you fight Mike? I've seen the two of you battle in regional championship and Mike currently has about three Championship titles under his name' Sashia suggested trying not to let the somber environment of Lavander town bring down her cheerfulness.

Liam agreed to the battle. Since he knew his opponnet had championship titles, that he should bring his stronger Pokémon to the battle. "One Pokémon each?"

Mike nodded and said "I'm game for that, I've got one of my Pokemon with me right now, my others are resting". He then showed Liam the battle field and took his place. Though strangely enough he was holding no Pokeball, it seemed his Pokemon was already out and around the battle field before the sounds of a training dummy shatter before Mike's Lucario jumped into view. It had a glowing blue armband with a silver gem imbedded in it.

"Lucario, eh?" Shiranui mused, "They hit really hard, but are not the best at taking hits."

"Sherlock!" Liam called as he tossed a Luxury Ball up. The shiny Alakazam emerged, the mega stone resting in a band on the Alakazam's arm.

[Mike the Bloodwolf]

"A shiny one? And a Alakazam. Hmm,they have huge sp defense and sp attack but not as strong in Defence but I'm guessing he has a strategy in place for that" Mike though to himself before him and Lucario streched in Sync as he said "You can sense that aura Ryu right? So can I" Ryu the Lucario nodded. "Then we have to play this match strategic." Mike said as they nodded in understanding before Ryu took up fighting pose.

"Alright Sherlock, start off with Calm Mind!"

Watching him, set up made Ryu start setting up as well as he began with a swords dance to increase his already high attack stat. Mike's Lucario had a jolly nature with increased its low speed though Mike had also invested a lot of time and effort into Ryu speed and attack stat so he could outspeed a few of the pokemon that would outspeed him.

Sashia watched the battle while grooming her ice fox making sure her fur was as clean and nice as she could though Ice fox did not mind getting a little dirty if need be.

Shiranui had let Zoro out to watch the battle, but the Zoroark was instead looking at Ice Fox with hearts in his eyes. He had donned the best Kantonian Ninetales illusion he could come up with.

Ice fox was no fool and she could see though his illusion but choose to humour him by pretending she could not see though his illusion.
"Interesting, you very different to the Ninetails that are in my region" She said to him in the universal Pokemon language.

"Sherlock, Psychic!" Liam ordered.

Ryu quickly moved in time with Mike shout and avoided the psychic as Mike called out "Okay Ryu, hit him with metal claw".
