The SS Aqua docked in Pallet Town. People started to disembark. Liam was overcome with a wave of nostalgia. He asked Shiranui if he wanted to go see Oak and their other Pokémon before heading out.

Passing a couple people talking about seeing the professor of Kanto, the twins, Neko and Koneko along with Inuzu already start to look for the professor. There was a girl mindlessly reading a sign nearby and a big guy walking around. Three buildings shaped the town, one clearly being the lab they were destined to receive their starters. Many people migrated from Johto to get their first Pokemon, so it appeared to be a little competitive.

The guy with the sign was none other than Oak's aide, Tracy Sketchit. He was trying to attract the attention of the new trainers.

"Definitely," answered Shiranui, "They must be excited to see us again."

"Look, there's Tracy." Liam said pointing out Oak's aide.

Shiranui saw Tracy holding up a sign. "Looks like it's that time again," stated Shiranui, feeling nostalgic for the time four years ago when he and Liam started out in Pallet Town.

"We will probably see him while we are visiting our other Pokémon." Liam said. "Shall we move on to the lab?"

"Indeed we shall," answered Shiranui.

At the lab, Oak greeted the heroes. He congratulated them on doing so well in the EverGrande confrence, and also congratulated Liam on becoming Hoenn's Champ. He asked them what brought them to the lab.

"We're back here in Kanto to take on the Battle Frontier," answered Shiranui, "And since we were in the neighbourhood, Liam and I thought it would be a good idea to visit the rest of our friends."

"What a capital idea!" Oak replied. He lead the heroes out into the pasture. Liam called out his six Pokémon.

Shiranui called his party out and soon most of the rest of his Pokémon greeted their trainer. Conspicuous in their absence were Suzaku, Saisei, Kitakaze, Ho-oh, Xeimei, Majin, Diamanda, Kaishin and Kakureru. "With new blood soon to grace this lab, the others thought it best to remain out of sight until they're gone," Titania—Shiranui's Gardevoir—stated. The other Pokémon congratulated the Goodra mates after hearing about the Goomy child they had during their vacation in Blackthorn City.

The legends that Liam had caught were absent as well. Goodra blushed at the praise. Goodra hugged Oak, and while doing so, they got toppled over by Muk, also trying to hug Oak. Oak's Rotom watched him get knocked over by affectionate pokémon and snickered.

Shiranui chuckled as well. "Like Heracross trying to feed from Bulbasaur's bulb, Prof. Oak getting engulfed by Muk has practically become a running joke among us," Kitsune—Shiranui's Ninetales—elaborated with amusement.

"There'a never a dull moment around here, huh?" Liam asked no one in particular. Sylveon was anxious, waiting to see Tracey.

"You must be new" Tracey said to the three newcomers from Goldenrod. "Yes." Neko replied "We've come from Goldenrod city." Tracey nods his head and invites the twins as well as Inuzu inside. There they saw Oak and a few people along with Pokemon.

Sylveon was happy to see Tracey. She ran up and wrapped one of her ribbons around his arm and rubbed her hand over the backside of his hand.
"How are you Sylveon?" Tracey asks. "I heard about how you did against Hoenn's Elite Four and Champion." Tracey than walked up to Oak. "Professor Oak, this is Neko, Koneko, and Inzu from Goldenrod City. They came to get starter Pokémon. Tracey than introduced them to Kalos Champion Shiranui Tsukiko and Hoenn Champion "Dragon Master" Liam Coleman.
"Hello." Liam said.

[NekoMizu]

Neko and Koneko both bow, "Hello." "Nice to meet you." Inuzu just standing there silently staring. He doesn't talk too often.

Oak than asked the new three which Pokémon they wanted.

The three looked at the professor and told him what they would like.
"Bulbasaur." The blonde haired boy we called Neko said
"Charmander." Inuzu had replied
"Squirtle." Koneko answered following both of the boys' answers.

"Right" the professor said before handing the three their respective pokemon. "Now. On the desk there is my invention, the Pokedex! It records the data of Pokemon you have caught! Neko, Koneko and Inuzu take these with you." He gives them each a Pokedex as well as a few Pokeballs.
