Bakeru barely survived the attack combo thanks to the Charm attacks he had used earlier. "Shadow Claw into Play Rough!" Two sets of claws glowing with shadowy energy lanced out from under Bakeru's rag and latched onto Dragonite's tail tip before pulling Bakeru over like a fantasy hero using a Hookshot. Once he was on Dragonite's tail, Bakeru started roughhousing with it.

Time was called during the squabble. Liam had fewer points, and Shiranui was named the winner.

Shiranui returned a cheerful Bakeru before accepting the Moss Town Ribbon. "Just one more ribbon to win before I qualify for the Grand Festival," he said.

Liam praised Dragonite for the effort and recalled him. After the contest ended, Liam returned to the Pokémon Center to have Grimm and Dragonite healed up.

Shiranui had Manectric and Bakeru healed and was thinking about the next contest, held at Cinnabar Island. The thought of that place brought to his mind memories of the last time he was there from exploring the Pokémon Mansion to battling Blaine on a battlefield that was suspended over a lava pit in the crater of the volcano.

Liam inquired as to where that Mimikyu came from.

"He stowed away on the ferry that Mike and Sashia arrived on and tailed us," Shiranui explained.

"But, that was months ago. Where was it hiding this whole time?" Liam inquired.

[Mike the Bloodwolf]

(Well, Sashia more so then Mike)

"I was wondering where that Mimikyu had gone" Mike said as he walked up to the two boys with his Lucario behind him. "A while ago, I sensed that there was a stowaway somewhere on the ship. Never expected a Mimikyu to appear here of all places though" Mike added as he looked at Shiranui.

"But, that was months ago. Where was it hiding this whole time?" Liam inquired.

"He's been stowing in my bag since the Battle Dome, believe it or not," answered Shiranui. Having carried an Aegislash on his back during his journey through Kalos, he would not have noticed an extra 700g in his backpack.

"I was wondering where that Mimikyu had gone" Mike said as he walked up to the two boys with his Lucario behind him. "A while ago, I sensed that there was a stowaway somewhere on the ship. Never expected a Mimikyu to appear here of all places though" Mike added as he looked at Shiranui.

"Maybe he thought Kanto had a higher chance of finding the company he sought after given its population," Shiranui speculated, "I was in the right place at the right time."

"Well, it looks like you have a new friend." Liam said. A Chancey brought over the Pokémon that were being healed and bowed. Liam thanked her and retrived his. "Well, now we need to catch the ferry to Cinnabar."

Shiranui nodded in agreement after receiving his Pokémon.

With that, the heroes made their way to the ferry.

Shiranui boarded the ferry and was thinking about the next contest.

[Mike the Bloodwolf]

Mike just shrugged and said "Well, I just hope you make sure you treat and train that Mimikyu with a lot of time. A mimikyu can be both a deadly fighter and a powerful support pokemon so you best choose how your going to raise that Mimikyu"

"Sounds like my kind of Pokémon," replied Shiranui with a smile. He thought about what else Bakeru is capable of and how it would apply to the contest circuit and defending his title at the Kanto League.

The ferry set off on its trip to Cinnabar. Once again, Liam overheard the same trainer boasting about catchng a Tentacool the size of a Wailmer. He also noticed that many people were dressed like they were going to a resort, which did match up with what he remembered about the island. After the ferry docked, Liam went to the Pokémon Center and healed his Pokémon before registering for the contest.

Shiranui registered for the contest as well. "Did somebody open an onsen here?" he inquired.

"Weren't there already like twenty of them on the island?" Liam asked, He commented to his travel companions that the contest was tomorrow, and he had arranged reservations back while they were in Moss Town at The Big Riddle Inn, knowng that Shiranui would remember the signifegnce of the lodgings.

Shiranui did indeed remember the inn in question. "Mike, Sashia, where we're staying will have a face of Dialga's creation," he stated, playing into the cryptic nature of the Big Riddle Inn's proprietor.
