Oh, and I've alresdy decided that there will be a zepplin trade route from Alfrasia, to Not-Hong-Kong, and then to Not-China. Full of opiates, because why change a good thing?

I've been considering a state-run aircraft based courier service for my own nation-my reasoning being Zaskar is a big place, and markedly less "civilized" in the sense of not having to worry about things like SPIDER WASPS.

And also, perhaps, less urbanized in general, and more scattered. So an aircraft based mail service makes remarkable sense-it's a good stopgap, and it'd be fairly fast.

Also been tossing around some of the island included in Zaskar's claim being, officially, "free ports" under Zaskar's protection. Technically indepedent.

So, of course, Zaskar knows nothing about the pirates supposedly operating out of these ports and preying upon imperial shipping.

Also, know- obviously- Ravinkra will be seeking to return said colony to the fold once more. Especially considering how expansionist the current ruler is. That said expect something of a cold war for most of the start of the RP.

Funny you should mention pirates seeing as I had a similar idea in making on of my further and larger port cities a haven for mercenaries and 'privateers'. XD

I forsee a long-standing proxy war between former colony and Ravinkra using pirates/privateers.

I think I'm closer. Anyway if you want to hunt down pirates I suppose you could. Though going after anyone with a written write to raid ships for another nation will land you in some hot water as far as diplomacy and relations go. There is a difference between an outright pirate and a privateer. On paper anyway.

I'd assume so. Lower means less air in the canopy needed, and you avoid needing pressurisation, and the fact that wind is worse higher up.
