The new QP is marvelous! Sombra is still the first character to get chosen. Haven't had a chance to play her yet. Is she fun?

I'm loving the D.Va buff. It's such a small thing to add the movement speed while firing, but it's actually so much better.

I've played Sombra a few times. She's a ton of fun, but is actually pretty underpowered and easy to defend against right now. She has a vast lack of damage in her kit. Her only damage is from her gun. So, it's very rare right now to find a decent Sombra player who can properly use the utility her kit provides while being able to efficiently get kills. I've only seen one Sombra POTG, and she only got one of the four kills that were featured. The rest were her team's doing.

Meanwhile, I'm still that douche that plays Bastion all the time. He's gone untouched for quite some time.

Can we brainstorm for a moment? There's only so much war we can do at once. I've been thinking about maybe a special tasks group may be formed. A reformed Overwatch in a manner of speaking. It won't be big, but it will consist of highly trained operatives. They will lead surgical strikes into the omnic war machine.

The key difference is that it won't be an 'easy' fight per say. More grueling too given the progress the omnics have made.

What do you think? We can certainly stay with the ESF for now. I'm just thinking further down the road.

I think that's a great idea. Maybe with the next task force, a certain someone's mother could show up just in time and save a mission from certain failure? Not any time soon, obviously, but I know I'd really enjoy it if Ana came back sometime.

Sure, let's eventually end up with this task force then. It could be mobilized by an independent funder. Maybe a really rich corporation or something rather than a country. It could do for good conflict of interest later down the road?

Considering a lot of the countries are locked in war with the omnics, one of the ones that isn't so destroyed would likely be where the rich corporation would have their base.

Here's a thought: what if the corporation/organization was Talon? A sort of bad-guys-gone-good situation. They'd see that their former operations are futile if they all get wiped out, and focus on making the task force. Of course, Angela would br opposed to working with Talon, but would eventually see the bigger picture.

Talon as a anti-hero type of deal? I actually like that a lot. I would think Angela would be very against. I'm pretty certain I'm going to write Fareeha opposed to it as well. But if they aid in getting rid of the omnics though?

What do you think about remnant Blackwatch?

I think that the remnants of Blackwatch (Gabriel Reyes and Jesse McCree, namely) would likely be called upon by Talon to be in the task force. Hell, Gabriel could have easily jumped ship to Talon when the omnic crisis in our RP forced Overwatch into splitting apart. I know in McCree's comic he says that Talon was using some of Blackwatch's strategies, so it's known that the agents that were in Blackwatch had no trouble switching over to doing the evil that is Talon.

I know our RP isn't canon, but it does make sense in the universe for Blackwatch agents to align themselves with Talon. McCree, however, values himself as more of a bounty hunter/vigilante justice kind of guy as opposed to a cold and calculated killer like Gabriel.

All in all, it's kind of an "I really hate you but we have the same objective" kind of situation.

Let's go with Talon then. I've been meaning to explore their side of the story too. There doesn't seem to be much info about them. Maybe we can make it up as we go? Right off the bat, I'd think they'd have financial backing from really prominent companies and steal what they need. Some countries as well, but I'd think many countries would be against them due to their violent history.

I'm thinking we start incorporating Talon recruiters into the mix. They'd probably be going for individuals who've distinguished themselves, even if said individuals may not agree with their methods. Think Shepard working with Cerberus in Mass Effect. Something like that.

Apologies, but I already have another post. I'm very unoccupied at work. Literally just sitting here on the guild.

I think it'd be an interesting thing to mention that Talon has financial backing from big companies, like Lumerico and Vishkar. Maybe not those particular companies, but similar ones that have strong finances and even bigger reputations. It'd be kind of baffling to Angela and Fareeha, considering they know Talon to be this evil, conniving organization that opposed Overwatch.

I get what you mean with Shepard and Cerberus. As Shepard themselves said in ME3 when explaining to Kaidan or Ashley, "I worked with Cerberus, not for them." So in our case, Angela and Fareeha would be working "with" Talon.

By the way, I love your new (I may have just now noticed it) avatar. Very pretty!

I like it! Plus, if Talon was based solely on affluent companies, it would give that tremendous leeway in what they did action wise. Perhaps each act of violence they did somehow furthered the goals of the companies.

Tonight's another slow night. I'm the only person in the whole office for the next ten hours. Guess I'll just sit here, do my work, and play Hearthstone.

So I had a thought; what if Talon sends forces to reinforce the area the ESF and the Swiss are fighting on, so that the ESF and Swiss can catch a break for a few days to recover? However, in exchange Talon would ask for the direct assistance of Fareeha and Angela, and if they didn't agree to work with Talon, the organizaton's soldiers would abandon the area to be defended by the ESF and Swiss alone. Which, despite their lack of deaths, would be very hard considering they have many wounded. So Fareeha and Angela would be forced to make a hard decision; work with an organization they don't trust and have every reason not to trust, or force many wounded ESF and Swiss soldiers to continue to fight and guard a dangerous area.

I'm alright. Been playing a lot of Overwatch as usual. Enjoying the massive amount of people in denial about Tracer being revealed as a lesbian. There was one guy who literally said "she just kissed her because she was saying thank you as friends, happens all the time"
