In Depth Appearance
Curly blonde hair, jawline sharper than a Ravenclaw's wit, and a smirk that could melt Tungsten, Fletcher Fairbanks is certainly very attractive. The worst thing about it? He knows it. He holds himself with so much confidence, walks with such a swagger, that it's hard not to be drawn to him. His dark blue eyes sparkle with the kind of rebellion that screams fun, and his well toned body shrieks of sex. He dresses like he doesn't care, flannels and sweats, rarely ever dressing up. He's a cliche, rebel without a cause, and he does his best to look the part.

PERSONALITY
Fletcher Fairbanks is a cliche, that much is certain. He's your classic rebel without a cause, partying and sleeping with just about anyone, his sex drive seemingly higher than his already high IQ. His friends love him, his enemies despise him, and just about everyone wants to be him. His unerring confidence and seemingly unwavering optimism have made him an almost legendary figure in Granite Oaks.
Fletcher is a charismatic young man, intelligent and witty, with an attitude problem that his teachers insist won't get him very far. He's got a flirtatious side, one that comes out whenever it pleases, and a definite allergy to commitment. He despises authority, and rarely listens to anything that people order him to do. He's opinionated and stubborn, a young man who's willing to stand up for what he believes in, no matter the consequences. He's passionate about his hobbies, and often focuses solely on them, spending days on a writing project, or going off the grid for hours getting the perfect shot.
On the flip side, Fletcher is an asshole. He's arrogant and harsh, rarely ever softening his verbal blows. When he gets into a war of words, he fights dirty, and this has ruined a fair amount of friendships. His temper is explosive, yet a rare sight to see. He's gotten much better control of it in the past few years, although he's always worried that it will rear it's ugly head at inopportune times. He's not a romantic by any means, and anyone looking for a teddy bear should steer clear of him. As much as he enjoys the idea of a permanent relationship, he also loves being free, and wouldn't give that up for just anyone, and thus comes his reputation of commitment issues.

Family
Fletcher lives in Manor Town with his mom, Olivia Fairbanks the Chief of Surgery at Granite Oaks General, and one of the members of the Town Council, a group of people who make decisions for the town rather than a mayor. Their house is far too big for the two of them. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a living room, a study, a game room, and a two car garage. It's one of the nicer houses in town and has earned him a bit of a reputation with the Ocean View kids as a snob.
Biography
When Olivia and Jack Fairbanks met, sparks flew. Literally. They fell in love at a Fourth of July picnic, dated for three years while Olivia finished her residency, and married when she was done. The two then moved back to Olivia's hometown, where Olivia got a job at the local hospital, generally treating hunting or car accidents. It would be three years later that their son Fletcher was born.
Fletcher grew up in a house in which his mother spent most of her time working. Which isn't to say she didn't love Fletcher, she loved him immensely, but she had other commitments. This being said, he was raised by his father primarily, a stay at home dad who spent his free time painting. Fletcher and his father were extremely close, which is why his abandonment of their family left him so broken.
When Fletcher was fourteen, his father ran away with a young woman, an actress from a town over, and left his mother heartbroken. This was about the time that Fletcher got into the party scene, with his mother often working night shifts, allowing him practical free reign. His acting out has yet to be curbed by anyone. The sheriff would rather not put the surgeon's son behind bars, and his mother can't enforce any decent punishment, so his high school life has been a mess of parties. After high school he'd like to leave town, become an author or a photographer, or maybe even find his dad. Whichever it is, he's not staying in Granite Oaks long enough to become like his mom or those she works with. This town holds nothing for him. Nothing he wants anyway.
