Heh, it's always been one of my favourite anime. I actually relate a lot to the Count of Monte Cristo personally, or - rather - I at least 'used' to. Some elements of the series resemble my own work too, and the Count himself has (unintentional) similarities to a few of my characters.

I don't know if I'll keep this avatar up often, since I usually like to have that specific OC from before up as my avatar, but considering one of the primary characters of Grim Reaper's Gambit (my new role-play) is using the Count as his physical model, it seemed fitting to use this avatar.

It's a wonderful anime, I might have to rewatch it. Also, I love both his dub and sub voice so... It's basically a win/win. Considering I don't like dubbed anime really, but GODDAMN do I love me some Jamieson Price (showing how lame she is). But, yeah I can see how you'd relate to him in some ways... I never really thought about it until you brought it up.

I relate to him even more when you understand certain things about my past, but yeah.

It's a great anime, honestly. It's up there with Naoki Urasawa's Monster and Fate/Zero as one of my top shows (might be a few others I'm just not remembering currently). I've personally only got experience with dubs (though I have heard his Japanese voice -- it was cool), but this is primarily due to having very little experience reading subtitles while a lot of things are going on that you need to follow -- I'm not used to it. Jamieson Price is cool though -- I rarely seem him do a role badly.

Yeah, he's really amazing. I'm actually all right with subs so I tend to watch them more often, but... To each's own really. I won't judge anyone who prefers dubs over subs and vice versa. IDK, I just love Price's voice. I guess I have a thing for deep voices? *shrugs*

Yeah, it's honestly an unfamiliar thing rather than something I 'dislike'. A lot of shit tends to go on during anime, so having to follow every frame (I'm always looking for details) and read at the same time gets troublesome at times when you've got no experience with it.

*smirk* I'm sure the deep voice thing has something to do with it.

@NekoMizu
That's too bad.

And yeah, so I like deep voices... Random trivia about myself.

Heh, voices are weird. I mean, my own voice actually sounds deep to me, but then it sounds odd when I hear myself playback through like a recording or something. I really don't know how to describe the way my voice sounds during playback (what I can only assume is what everyone except me is hearing). No one hears their own voice properly, so it's hard to gauge how we sound.

Amusing trivia about you regardless.

Take care, peeps. I'm heading out for supplies.

For me I prefer dub because I get headaches trying to watch anime subbed. For the same reason as Shoryu, and on top of the fact the girls always have obnoxious voices (and many guys as well). The only time I read subbed anime is when there's no dub and the source material is unavailable to me. lel That is, if I even care enough to potentially put myself through a headache.

Admittedly, I don't like the super high pitched voices, particularly on the males, but sometimes you can avoid it. I actually get headaches very easily, and feel dizzy, but I don't watch subs enough to really be able to say if it causes that. Like I've mentioned, it's more of something I'm not used to as opposed to something I don't like.

@Shadow007
Preferences are, by their very nature, subjective. It's pretty foolish for anyone to judge based on tastes that have nothing to do with morals or values, so it's only reasonable that you wouldn't just based on them. These are opinions and nothing more. Too many people're entitled and think having an opinion justifies pushing it on others.

Anyway, I'm back.

I noticed your last titled involved having a thing for guys with black and white hair. Ironically, that OC of mine which is usually my avatar used to have black and white hair. His outfit scheme still happens to be black and white, which represents a few concepts and themes of mine.

Dealing with multitask and idiots aside, I've actually had a decent night of sleep for the first time in a while, though it wasn't as long as it could've been and my dreams were a bit all over the place -- that's not out of the ordinary for me though.

In other news -- second day in a row now of cold weather and heavy rain, after weeks of blazing heatwaves.

Which do you prefer? Extremely cold or extremely hot? Personally I'd say cold since you don't have to deal with sweat or anything and it's pretty easy to get yourself warm by dressing heavier. Even if you have to wear a shit ton of clothes, it's much better than the feeling of sweat and exhaustion. But no matter how cold it is outside my room feels like an oven and it annoys me. There's no reason for it to be this warm. lel

It's a tough call, but I'd say I prefer extreme cold. The main reason's more to do with countermeasures as opposed to anything else about it specifically. Obviously, an extreme of either will kill you, but if we're talking about survivable extreme then I prefer extreme cold. Basically, there's a lot more ways to make yourself warm than there is to cool yourself down.

Then yeah, I prefer winter. It's easier to add layers than remove them, unless you can peel off your skin anyway. Granted, I find wearing too much uncomfortable, but there's just a lot more ways to handle the cold. If it's hot, all you can do is use an air conditioner.
