Whether "self-righteous" or not, I wouldn't speak the things I say unless I firmly believed they were viable. Honestly, out of most of the points I discussed with you there's only one specific view (that we seemed to disagree on at least) that I don't feel like anything could ever really change my mind on; actually witnessing some of the full extent of how badly it is hurting some people on this site only makes my "zeal", per se, stronger for the stance I have regarding it. Either way, it's good to know you're able to discuss it in a mature manner; I brought it up with you precisely because I believed you would; I wouldn't have spent time on the discussion otherwise.

Disagreements are inevitable between people, even people who see the world from a very similar perspective; I just hope that in all debates both sides are able to think about the other perspective and understand its merits. A very large amount of the confliction in my own ideology comes from the fact that I'm almost entirely incapable of letting my bias dictate my philosophy; I only really appreciate others who can do the same as a result. Two many arguments are born simply because one side refuses to take on the weight of the other. This is more a general statement, however; not just directed at our conversation. It's also important to remember that my stance regarding several points I made are born from the fact that I believe the world should improve; apathy to make an attempt to better the world (even if risks are needed to do so) is no different than actively contributing to the darkness in my eyes.

Does anyone else just get in moods of listening to one band for hours? That happens to me a lot, or a certain genre or from a certain country, that country is usually Germany for me, I just find the rock and metal from there enjoyable to listen to, as well as Swiss and Finnish from the same genre, that's just me though.

I do tend to as I said, get into moods of one certain band a lot, tonight it's Shinedown, other nights or days it'll be something like Red Hot Chili Peppers or Stone Temple Pilots, even more honestly, just these three lately. I get into moods for RHCP a lot though, don't know why, I just do and that's always fun to listen to.

For me it's not really a mood I get into, I just listen to Linkin Park and Kagepro music for hours regardless of mood.

That happens as well, I just call that moods as it stems from me thinking about it and what I would like to listen to. Then I just get into a mood for that band or genre or whatever and listen for hours upon hours.

I did get in the mood to listen to LP for about an hour or so while I was runecrafting because otherwise it would've been so boring trying to do rc (which took me a total of 4 hours holy shit)

Sheesh, I bet the music helped that a lot, always glad that music helps people and for some moods. It doesn tend to make a boring situation more fun, even more so when you can just goof around and sing to it as well.

I catch myself doing that a lot as well, I sing more then I do that though. I'm not the best but I've been told I'm good at it, I don't care if I'm good or not I just enjoy it.

It's more like I listen to specific songs or pieces of music on an infinite loop whenever it's right for the atmosphere I'm currently working with for my project. Music has a healing effect on me and frequently allows me to induce meditative states of sort for either my story or whatever I'm thinking about.

I need a shower, but we can try the voice chat on Skype afterwards; Ailyn is off to work.

Didn't know this post of yours was coming since I was working on my own.

I have very extreme likes and dislikes with music (as I do for many things); I often avoid discussing it with people due to it being a very subjective topic and more a matter of people's preferences rather than something I can apply philosophy to. There's certain exceptions I could go into, but I usually avoid it since this is the sort of topic I consider not worth starting an argument over.

I tend to do that as well, I find certain things like the songs by Apocalyptica with no singing to help with that. Most of the rest I listen to does as well, it helps me relax and get into better moods and calms me when needed, I generally listen to music all day long honestly. Granted, have a decent audio setup helps that as well, I mean, it all sounds nicer and it can get across a bit better not sounding garbly. The speakers I "stole" from my dad work wonders, 5.1 surround is nice, I wonder how 7.1 is at this point.

We can try VC, just one thing for us both to remember is that with ghetto skype the user of it, from my understanding of the github link, is supposed to start the call, as weird as it is, we can try it both ways and hope it works.

Ah, right... I'm terrible with names when it comes to a lot of bands because while I have a deep love of music I don't like all of the "hype" or "media" behind it; ultimately I'll only remember the name of a band if I frequently listen to their songs because I have very little care for celebrities (they're just people like us, seriously). Since my memory is largely rooted around only being able to remember things I consider important, I'll probably like a song from a group without even knowing what the group is; for some reason the name you listed rings a bell though.

Yours is the main one I've got running in the background for a while now that I'm at least vaguely coherent; more so than I was earlier anyway. I was referring to another reply to his in that particular post though; I usually prioritize helping people if they have problems over anything else on the site and I want to be able to give your reply my full attention.

I just happen to remember what I tend to listen to a lot, if I want something without singing I'll listen to a storm or the band I listed, that's just that. I have a deep love for music and have for as long as I can remember, that's just how that is. I don't get all of the hype with big names or celebrities like that, as you said they are just regular people like us. I don't care for them either so you're not alone with that opinion you have there.

Ask me to name a band or a song I've heard before, maybe only once or twice or maybe ten times, I won't be able to do it, unless I listen to them often enough it won't stick with me in my head.
