I do find myself getting tired in the dark, I don't fear I will never sleep again but it's a pain in the ass without help. I've already taken a nice hot shower not long ago and that helped, I might just use the other method I have in addition to the beats you mentioned before hand.

Spatial Claw

Description:
_____ has the power to manipulate space, something he has learned to do primarily through the use of his fingers -- hence the self-proclaimed title 'Spatial Claw'. His preferred method of utilizing this ability is to tear the immediate space around his fingertips in order to rip open the spatial connection of his target, which in practice allows him to use his hands as cutting weapons that can slash through anything regardless of construction or durability.

His talents in the use of this ability do not stop at melee though, given his adaptive and resourceful mind -- he can cut through spatial fields around him in order to achieve a variety of effects through the distortions. These attacks are able to be launched at a distance when more effort is used, causing rips in space to slash out at the opponent like a stream trailing the movements of his fingers.

By manipulating the barrier of space around or in front of him he is able to create a force-field of sorts that prevents attacks from reaching him. If given enough time he can also create pocket dimensions to surround targets to trap, move, or crush them. He is also able to use this ability to teleport, but doing so currently takes a huge toll on him unless he does sparingly over very short distances -- this makes him appear to have superhuman speed, since he can manipulate the space around him to negate the gap between himself and his targeted location.

This mental toll taken on him - from exerting his ability and pushing it too far - is the exact same reason he currently has not developed this power further, since the applications of such a power are quite phenomenal. Nevertheless, as he uses it more often he is becoming progressively more proficient at it; which only continues to grow ever since his 'bond' with _____.

I should point out that a lot of the abilities being described here are something every character in my main project is capable of somehow (and wouldn't even be considered high tier ability, or even mid tier ability honestly), but I messed with it to make it allow me to resemble my main protagonist the most without making it anywhere near as powerful as him.

I had insomnia for so many years of my life that I ended up developing an irrational fear that I'd never sleep again at one point and I can honestly say that Isochronic Beats have never failed me. Hot or warm baths are also wonderful for relaxing nerves and making a person tired. Also, I learned in Psychology class (disclaimer: I don't know how true this is), that people are affected by the light that hits their eyelids. The more you sit in darkness, the more tired you naturally get as your brain biologically determines.

Psychology is one of the fields I specialize in, but I've never heard of this. On my own end, I'm constantly suffering from headaches due to excessive exposure to light, but I've never really tried to work in the dark much because having the lights out causes the light of my PC to bother me even more.

Interesting for sure, I don't feel it's overpowered at all but that's just me, given the toll he takes and the damange it can cause and all, I find the super human speed interesting but as you said, he takes a massive toll from that.

Considering that I believe the idea of 'broken' and 'overpowered' is a myth anyway (it's all subjective -- whether or not a character is too powerful depends on who they're up against, so the match-up is the important factor), I agree with you about it not being overpowered, especially since I've placed limitations on it that my project characters don't have (if this guy used this power without limitation he'd be omnipresent, for example). That being said, he might be too powerful when compared to the other characters in the role-play in question.

That could be true, I'm sure the GM could figure that out, your character compared to the others, it could happen but that's not something we know for certain.

Yeah, I haven't decided to contact the GM about it since I was getting the impression I might not want to do the role-play anyway, meaning I'd use this character sheet for something else. With that said, @Pudding is part of the role-play in question so they might be able to gauge the respective powers of the characters better than someone who isn't a player. On my own end, I'm very good at power-scaling, but the more I started writing this for myself - instead of for that role-play - the less inclined I was to let their power levels limit me.

As for FPS, it's again personal preference. I have to say that I'm neither good or bad in FPS, just play them casually like how I'd play most other games. For me, I suck at racing that I never like Mario Kart even though I'm okay with the classic Mario games. I also prefer playing games in zen mode (i.e. at my own time own pace) to playing in timed arcade mode.

Most of my classmates are Overwatch fanatics (yes because they simply can't shut up about it lol) so that's how I know about it. I can add you to my friend list if you want, though I'll stop playing the game once the free period is over (and just wait for the next free trial to play again, haha).

Been playing on Widowmaker and Tracer so much that I'm probably not going to bother trying out the other characters (well I did try all, but I'm most comfortable with these two). The character lines the two of them would say to each other (like, when both characters are present in the same party) are pretty amusing. Their love-hate relationship is so strong, heh.

I'll let you know when it happens, since I still need to make my PC more manageable, but once it's ready you'll be one of the first people to get invited -- I know you won't blab about my secrets.

My dislike for FPS games is a personal preference, yeah, and it isn't even because I'm not good at them or anything -- I just don't generally find them interesting. There's only a few video games with a focus on guns that I've actually enjoyed - including Resonance of Fate, Gungrave and 10'000 Bullets (I even thought about making a role-play with concepts similar to these last two), just for a few examples - and none of them are first person. The closest thing to a FPS I've ever enjoyed is a couple of old 'arcade-style' games like Vampire Night and Point Blank, if you've heard of those.

Racing games are another genre I tend to have no interest in, yet ironically I don't mind the less realistic ones such as Mario Kart or Chocobo Racing. On another note, I play a lot of video games on timed arcade modes and such so I'm sort of used to being put on the spot like that, especially since a play fighting games a lot when I'm not playing RPGs.
