Name: Regan Shauna O’Bagley

Class/Faction: Warden of the White Council

Background: : While not super rare, Regan is one of those few born to a pair of White Counsel parents who they themselves were first generation wizards each. Father was a member of the healers beneath High Councilor Listens To Wind, and her mother is known to be a warden of ridged discipline, if not harshly fair when dealing with her subordinates. As Such Regan grew up mostly in the magical world and not the mortal one. Given both of her parents extremely busy life styles working for the White Counsel, A good deal of her early childhood was with extended family, on the family farm, where her love of physical activity and working with her hands began.

When she came into her magic she spent most of her time in a boot-camp-like apprenticeships with her parents. Given such intense tutelage and already having a good deal of her life dictated and informed by her knowledge that the supernatural was real she quickly made wizard. While her mother wanted her to go to the wardens, and Regan herself certainly hadn’t been opposed to the idea, she eventually found a place in the white councils support structure. While she certainly was not afraid now poor at evocation or combat, her greatest gifts laid in healing and artifice. It was not long before she held positions in both the white council’s medical core and their workshop. Making her busy both tending to the wounds of returning wardens as well as arming them with new tools or repairing their damaged ones.

That was, of course, before the great war broke out. Given her aptitude for combat and other desirable skills she was rather swiftly called into active warden duty. She because something of a unique field operative, one of the few with advanced medical knowledge she became something of a field medic on the front lines of conflict.

Personality: Regan is a...passionate young woman. She never does anything by halves and if she is going to feel something she is going to feel it strongly. This leads to her having something of a short temper so hearing her frustrated curse echoing through the council halls is not uncommon for those who spend much time in Glasgow. luckily she couldn't hold a grudge to save her life. She may be screaming mad at you one minute but an hour later she'd half forgotten what she had even yelling about if it wasn’t a matter of life or death.

Magic Type(s):
Enchanting: She is a excilent enchanter and artificer
Healing: The healing arts are a hard path to walk. A combination of modern knowledge and arcane practices that not many are suited for. Healing with magic takes a lot of time prep and energy, so a great deal is done with groups and in rituals. That is why a great many of the white council medics are equally knowledgeable with needle and thread, because sometimes sewing up your patient and getting them back to the hospital is their best chances of surviving.
Terramancy: Her primary form of elemental magic and her home ground in terms of combative evocation spells.

Equipment: 'The Wacker'
A sizable walking stick, almost more like a cane fit for her significant size, coming just above her waist. In truth it is an oversize shillelagh that functions as her staff. Good for earth magic's and decent for raw force, and serviceable for the various other elements outside of her expertise. Also good melee weapon, hard to beat a good old fashion cudgel for breaking heads eh?

A sliver necklace carved with all sorts of old runs, her primary defensive tool, by activating it with the phrase 'Timpeall' she creates a defensive sphere of gravity about herself, that literally causes object either orbit around her in about a 3 yard radius or if they are solid enough/coming with enough force to be rebounded back, magic/stamina allowing of course.

A pair of special gloves and boots, when she runs power through them they allow her to manipulate gravity in close proximity to those items in really rudimentary way. To repel or attract. Handy for climbing up walls, deflecting blows in close combat, or getting a really well aimed punch on a slippery foe.

'The Sack'

A large over-the shoulder messenger bag that carries her various crafting tools and medical supplies. It is be spelled leather to make it extra durable and help protect the sometimes delicate supplies inside. As such it makes a handy last minute shield.

Items: Chalk, Spools of copper, silver, and gold wire, glass vials for collecting the sort of things that need to be collected in vials, large pocket knife, swiss army knife, an ugly, old, iron pocket watch with the 5 pointed star of magic engraved on the outside of it. Pen and paper for notes/crafting plans/ect.

The warden’s Grey Cloak, tough, resilient and stain proof, as well as her Silver warden’s sword, hers modeled after a Hallstatt Sword

Other: Regan Is a towering and imposing figure, Standing at a solid 6'2'' and build like your average farm hand With a musculature that speak to someone who not only spends a great deal of her time doing hard labor but who works to maintain what she'd call 'a battle ready body'. Her hair is long, fiery red, and carefully braided at all times. Her eyes a dark, subtly rich, green; reminiscent of pine-trees. Her casual ware is nothing outlandish or remarkable, though given her crafting talents she tends to have a fair bit of jeweler on her when on active ops, especially when she knows what to prep for.

Melvus Garth

Name: Melvus Garth

Age: 146

Gender: Male

Class/Faction: Wizard of the White Council

Background: Melvus was born as William Stainton in mid-1800s England. He has since called himself Melvus in order to conceal his name for fear of someone using it against him. He’d been orphaned at thirteen when his parents were killed and reanimated by a necromancer. They were practitioners but didn’t really have much as far as power went. The black wizard hadn’t been targeting them because of their talent, it was a mere coincidence. He doesn't remember how he got away, but he suspects that there was a supernatural hand in it.

Melvus had worked in a factory for several years before the White Council discovered him and assigned him to Gregory Dover, an Evocator and a Warden of the White Council. Wizard Dover helped Garth along his way to finding what school he’d follow.

After discerning that Melvus didn’t have much in the way of will to through around they’d decided that he couldn’t use any sort of evocation or other flashy sort of magic, or non assisted will-based magic, so he decided that he’d follow enchanting and alchemy. Alchemy had won out as his favorite and he pursued that, later earning a doctorate in analytical chemistry.

Melvus is a distinguished member of the White Council. He’s sure that he’s still a long way from the Senior Council but has his hopes up for the future.

Personality: Melvus is a standard wizard. He’s easy to anger, he’s not very patient for others and he’s kind of a loner. He’ll spend days at a time, without sleep, in the lab brewing potions and trying new things. This doesn’t mean that he’s a grumpy guy… well maybe it does. But he’s usually polite, at least to start off with… this isn’t really helping the image. Oh well.

Ansgar Staudinger

Name: Ansgar Staudinger

Age: 121

Gender: Male

Class/Faction: White Council Wizard

Background:
Ansgar Staudinger was just another in the lineage of germanic wizards from the Stuadinger family, and in fact would inherit the position of being the seventh son of a seventh son, something that was increasingly rare in the modern world as that in depth of family planning became less and less common. His father was eager to raise the boy to be a powerful terramancer that would put the family lineage to shame at the sheer aptitude that he would no doubt show for the art. However, the naked flame attracted the boy far more than the pebbles and rocks did, showing a natural aptitude to the point that it was easier for his family, not having the prodigal successor they desired, to send him to apprentice with a White Council member instead of raise the boy themselves. Unlike the strict, regimented nature of his family, his master was a more free flowing, free form woman who would guide him along another path, one that would better suit a wielder of flames.

Such a lifestyle, however, as he eventually would become a full fledged wizard and strike out on his own, would not serve Ansgar well during the troubles leading up to the first World War, as the mundane world would call it. His position in the council was as a field agent, his early dabblings in Holomancy at that point providing him the means to be subtle and slip into areas that others could not, making him valued in infiltration and subtle work, the pyromancy there to protect himself should everything not go according to plan. However, the World War would require a new approach, holomancy useful for concealing and altering enemy reports on force movements, the pyromancy utilized for clearing out dens of Black Magic and other unspeakable abominations unearthed during the War, things that the Laws of Magic did not apply to, and as such could bear the full brunt of a pyromancers wrath.

By the second World War, Ansgar was a seasoned, if callous and world weary, agent of the White Council. Whether it was infiltrating compounds and preventing the revelation of things that should not be to the Axis powers, or Allies as need be, as well as opposing the Fae and vampiric Courts in their own machinations that would harm the Council's interests during the second World War. Of course, living through both wars was hardly the easiest thing to do, especially with the extra burden of abiding by the Laws of Magic during his efforts, and it was a trying time indeed for Ansgar.

Personality:
Ansgar is a man with a dark, yet often times realistic, outlook upon the happenings about him. Pragmatic to almost a fault, one would figure the pyromancer for being as frank and clear as the flames he weaves. And, he will play into that role when it suits him and will benefit his activities and actions, hiding a cunning and subversive nature that, much like gravity and magnetic forces, could catch unaware off guard. He tends to keep his plans and beliefs to himself, operating on the subtle and in the back ground in his current years, having grown out of his more youthful hard charging ways. Quiet and introspective when not pressed on a matter, he is nigh on impossible to anger, but should his anger rise, it will burn long and bright, the trespasser likely never to know forgiveness from the pyromancer.

Magic Type(s):
Pyromancy - Something normally considered the domain of the Wardens of the White Council, due to its purifying effect on Black Magic and its pervasive corrupting effect on the world, the art of wielding fire is both, at a glance, basic knoweldge yet takes a great deal of effort to master properly. Wielding flames without burning oneself or their focus, raising barriers of fire, increasing the heat in an area to incapacitate assailants without killing them, creating a warmth to stave off the cold for a night, a little imagination goes a long way with such an old art in the fields of magic.

Holomancy - Finding a need for more subtle misdirection, Ansgar began diving into the art of Holomancy, utilizing the ability to control the flow of light waves to either hide himself, those he wished hidden, or cast away the illusions hiding others or even create false forces to throw off enemy plans, when they suspect far greater numbers than are actually available. Specifically, he utilized Holomancy during the first World War to survive and aid in protecting White Council missions against those that looked to gain greatly from the war.

Equipment:
Ironwood Staff - Inheritance from his father when he first started training and practicing as a Wizard, it was carved from the branch of a white ironwood tree during Staudinger's father's travels throughout Africa, seeking out the greatest secrets of manipulating the elements from any practitioners about the world. The branch was refined down to a staff befitting the tall stature of the Staudinger lineage, well over six feet in height, covered in archaic scrawl from the Germanic tribes. Each generation that wields the weapon has, whether by choice or incident, consecrated the ironwood staff with their own blood, empowering the connection of each generation to their lineage of magic, although the pure white of the staff never stains, merely seeming to absorb the crimson hues with ease. An ancient heirloom, to be sure.

Modified Webley Mk. VI Revolver - His uncle, married into the Staudinger family and a British officer during the first World War, gave his nephew his old Mk. VI revolver which, despite the magical tech bane that most wizards are, would operate despite the fact. Most likely due to the relatively fool proof mechanism in a revolver, and one that allowed Ansgar to not have to worry about violating the First Law of Magic, by carrying an alternate form of self defense. Modified to fire .45 ACP as the supply for .455 Webley dwindled a fair deal after the war. Other than his staff, it is one of Ansgar's favored items and something of a mockery from other 'proper' wizards.

Circle Pendent - A perfect circle of silver with a centered emerald in the middle, worn as an amulet under his preferred attire most times, only openly worn when performing official duties of the White Council, the circle gives him something to mentally center himself during times of turmoil, or whenever he finds it appropriate to meditate. While it does give him a reference for forming larger circles when necessary, it does not, in and of itself, provide any sort of purpose as a focus, rather, storing a prepared barrier spell, repelling projectiles with reversed gravity when Ansgar has a chance to activate it with an activation phrase, so fast moving objects or unseen attacks have no problem with the defense.

Lena Thornton

Name: Lena Thornton.

Age: 21.

Gender: Female.

Class/Faction: White council.

Background: Lena was not born in a happy time, but she was fortunate enough to be born in a magical family. Her mother was a wizard, loosely associated with the white council on good days. Apparently she was a pretty good wizard, but not good enough to stop a direct hit from one of the German bombers. By a stroke of luck young Lena had been with her father about two houses away when the bomb fell and was unharmed.
After that, he could not take care of his daughter anymore and had her sent away to the north like so many other children. He did manage to get hold of one of his wife’s wizard-friends who intercepted the train and made sure that the child was put in the care of someone who could bring her up properly. That someone was apparently Regan Shauna O’Bagley (yeah, Lena has no idea how that happened either).

Personality: Lena is a heavily introverted young woman, she rarely engage in small-talk or anything that doesn’t have a point. Over all, her social skills could be better, but she manages by the skin of her teeth. Her saving graces being an almost otherworldly calmness no matter what happens and the fact that she’s loyal to the death, although maybe not very obedient. She also have a very high IQ. Most people believe that IQ is in some way related to intelligence, which is wrong. What Lena excel at is seeing and understanding connections, she loves to read and has about a million tiny post-its placed in various books for reference.

Appearance: Lena is a young woman of normal height and slim build. Quite different from the other women in the Drestenverse she really has nothing that could be seen as attractive in any kind of light. She lacks curves, has dull brown eyes and dull brown hair, thin lips and dry-ish skin. She cares very little about her own appearance, shops most of her clothes in the men’s section and cuts her own hair. Makeup is out of the question.

Magic Type(s):
Alchemy - The mixing of potions. This is Lena’s real forte. There is something about her mind that makes mixing various ingredients together seem almost logical.
Thaumaturgy - The creation of magical bonds and the power to influence something big with something small.
Hydromancy - By far her weakest skill, too spontaneous and unpredictable. On the other hand, other mages seems to despise being drenched as well.

Equipment:
Weight ring (Made by Regan) - A normal metallic, smooth ring carried on her right ring finger. This ring has been infused with Regan’s terramancy. Upon activation it'll launch a gravitation spell at whatever Lena is aiming it at, effectively doubling the weight of whatever it hits.

Pentagram focal rings - An intricate design. This focus item consists of five silver rings (one on each finger of her left hand), connected by a fine silver chain between each other. When the hand is stretched out it creates a pentagram so horribly crooked and uneven that no five year old would even dare to show it to their parents. The symbol is there though, and the connections are made by the chains. The design is Lena’s own and she is quite proud of it.

Shield bracelet - A wide (about two inches) bracelet Lena keeps on her left arm. As opposed to other shield bracelets that are basically a chain with small shields on, this one resembles a hunk of metal. While it is smooth and polished, it is not adorned in any way. The bracelet is infused with a shield spell and will put up a sphere around Lena upon activation that should shield her from most ordinary attacks, although it has trouble standing up to magic as suck a small focus item tends to overheat quickly.
The bracelet used to be connected to the Pentagram rings in an attempt to create a pentacle focus. The idea was that the pentagram would technically be inside the ring of the bracelet as her hand was stuck through it. Turns out that the laws of magic are bendy enough to allow the pentagram rings, but the pentacle was too much.

Bag of mysteries - This is an entirely normal backpack. It does contain mysteries though. As an alchemist Lena is always prepared to gather materials and carrier with her a hundred zip-lock bags wherever she goes, as well as a few commonly used materials like salt, just in case.

Other: Lena hates cats, she’s more of a dog person.
