172 Adam, 172 Adam, we have a robbery in progress on Pershing Boulevard! Requesting backup immediately! Officers down! Suspects are armed and highly dangerous! We need help now!

The radio frequency must've got picked up by accident, but either way, that was Evelyn and Akeya's ticket. "That answer your question, Snowflake? Let's go!" Evelyn wasted no time speeding off towards the city. She leaped into the air, suddenly a pair of bloody angel wings unfurling from her back. It hurt alot, but she didn't care. People were in trouble...

...and the Watch Dogs were coming to save them.

Nara startled awake, she had managed to fall asleep, a mug of cold coffee resting next to her. "What the-"She mumbled as she listened to the staticky crackle from her earpiece. She turned to Kurai. "We must've picked up a signal..." She says, uncertainty. She pushes the button her earpiece and speaks into it.
"We received a strange message about a robbery on Pershing Boulevard. Where are you guys?" Nara stood up and went around the room, gathering weapons and bandages.

Evelyn landed on the roof of a nearby apartment building, sprinting at top speed. She leaped across the chasm between the buildings like she was gliding through air, landing in a graceful somersault and vaulting over fences and AC ducts in her way. The earpiece in her ear crackled with Nara's voice, asking where they were.

"On our way!" Evelyn shortly replied pressing the button while making another daring bound to another rooftop. "Anything on the news yet?" Sirens were blaring as she neared Pershing. If Ev remembered correctly, there was a bank on that street, a pretty big one at that.

Sure enough, she got to the edge of a library overlooking the bank. Down below...Ev could only describe as a battlefield. "Holy shit..."

Cops swarmed the bank, a sea of reds and blues flashing amidst the vermillion heat of smoldering flames. There were police cars all shot up, officers huddled behind them with their guns drawn, looking scared as ever. Broken glass and spent shells littered the city streets, stsined with blood from the brave men in blue who took a bullet.

Gunfire rattled catching Ev's eye. There were two robbers outside, heavily armored with two big machine guns tearing apart everything in their path. The others Ev could see in the bank, mean looking guys dressed military style with masks looking like they were ripped out of the Purge movies.

"BACK OFF PIGS, OR WE'LL START KILLING HOSTAGES!"

The lead robber shouted. Ev gulped nervously. The situation was pretty tense.

Ayeka ice skates to the bank and hides behind another building as she watch the scene at the bank. She had to do something before someone else gets hurt. She use the back door to enter the bank, she creates a snow scene to distract the bank robbers as she helps the hostages. She is thinking where is the bomb or that is stereotyping bank robbers.

"We'll be back up here then...tell us if you need anything and I'll try doing something from HQ, I think they have pretty cool technological advancements as well and of course we have Kurai..."Nara trails off when she hears the sounds of rugged, panting breaths and pays her attention back to the computer screen.

Ev was about to answer back when out the blue a freak blizzard engulfed the bank and the surrounding police kicking up a panic. Evelyn smirked. Way to go, Snowflake, she thought. "Heh! Nah, we're good, Windy! Be back soon!" She replied through the earpiece then pulled the hood of her jacket over her head. "Welp, time for these zeros to be heroes. Shit, that was lame."

While the snowstorm had everyone disoriented, Ev jumped down from the library and raced across the street, gritting her teeth and bearing the pain of two sharp blood blades shooting from her wrists. The fosty winds whipped the white haze all around, concealing the girl from the fierce eyes of the robbers.

"Shit! I can't see anything! Grimes! Dallas! Where are you guys?!"

Suddenly the robber's assault rifle was sliced in half.

"Ah! What the hell?!"

Then a mighty kick from a RAWK combat boot sent him flying into the wall. Evelyn did the same with the other robbers, knocking them all down and taking them by surprise while Ayeka took care of the hostages.

Ev had left her earpiece on so Nara could hear everything quite clearly. She had pulled up a map on the computer, turns out the Watch Dogs had eyes everywhere. Someone (probably some mysterious benefactor) had tagged the robbers and she could see the red dots moving up and down. She could track her team mates from their ear pieces as Nara looked at the dots racing each other round the map like some twisted game of Pacman she saw three of the red dots go out suddenly, they sprung to life and started beeping and Nara knew that Ev had attacked them. But...She sees another red dot, right behind Ev's green dot creeping up slowly and Nara could barely get the words out "EV! ATTACKER BEHIND YOU! TURN!" She screamed into the intercom, fear gripping into her like claws.

"SHIT!" Ev suddenly whirled around blocking the attack with her blood blade, the attack from a katana...wielded by none other...

"Aww shit! Not you!" Ev groaned dismayed.

The snow cleared a bit, and there was Anna.... She sliced her blade again at Ev, Ev jumping back and blocking her other vicious swings before darting away. Anna gave chase, unholstering the MP7 submachine gun at her hip and firing a burst of rounds towards Evelyn, a few bullets catching her in the shoulder.

"AGH! Dammit!" Evelyn cried out taking cover behind the counter. Her shoulder was bleeding profusely, skin seared red by the heat of the bullet ripping through her flesh. "Windy, we got a problem!" She called to Nara quickly while dodging more of Anna's attacks. "The bitch is back! I need an escape plan, ASAP!"

"Shit!" Nara curses under her breath. She moves the computer cursor wildly about, pulling up maps.
"Okay listen to me, Ev. There's a bakery shop down the street from there called Max's Baked Goods. Duck inside. There's apparently a trapdoor to some sort of chute and underground maze that should lead you to another bakery of the same name near our HQ. Tell me when you get there." Nara fires out her commands.
"Ayeka, you heard what I told Ev, if you can make it, come, if not stay where you are and keep yourself hidden by the snow. DO NOT GET HURT."
Nara starts tracking everyone on the map, labelling them, planning out the routes and calculating the time. She hopes the plan works or else they were in a shitload of trouble.

"Bakery! Underground maze....uh...what was that last part?! Shit!" Evelyn ducked under the Russian's katana about to cleave her head off, still backtracking and dodging every attack she could while taking a couple of hits, nothing major she couldn't heal. Anna wasn't giving up though anytime soon. This time, she was bound and determined to kill them.

Shit! I gotta get rid of her! This bitch is all over me!

Evelyn blocked her attack once more. Suddenly, in one swift move, her blood blades sliced apart Anna's sword and her gun, leaving her totally defenseless. The Russian gasped with surprise, her fierce green eyes seething with anger "Ha! Not so high and mighty without your guns, huh Red?" Evelyn snorted a bit cocky. She was about to learn though...Anna was the real weapon.

*BAM!* The Russian's fist slammed hard into Evelyn's face like a cannon ball, throwing her back a good two or three feet before slamming into the wall.

"GYAH!" Ev screamed upon crashing through the sheet rock, now lying flat on her back in a daze. "Ahahaha...no mommy... those cops are lying... I didn't take that candy...ehehe.." She mumbled, a bit loopy from having the shit knocked out of her.

She looked up, her vision blurry. The assassin, she was pissed, thst much Evelyn could tell as the girl approached her menacingly. She grabbed Evelyn up by her throat, her grip firm and unrelenting, and slammed her into the wall pinning her down. "Ugh...W-windy...Snowflake...a little help!" Evelyn choked, Anna's deathgrip nearly crushing her windpipe. Damn, she knew the Russian was strong, but Anna's hand...it was like an anaconda was crushing her neck.

"Ад ждет вас ..." Anna hissed under under her breath, wrenching a knife from her holster and holding it to Evelyn's chest. Ev laughed a bit surprised, a few sputtering, painful coughs spitting up blood and broken teeth, "Heh...so you can talk, huh Ruskie? Hey...tell me...how do you say go fuck yourself in Russian?"

Anna snarled, her eyes burning with rage. She squeezed Ev's throat harder, Ev's face turning blue as she squirmed gasping desperately. Anna was going to kill her. This time...she was going to win...

Jessica...I'm sorry...

A small tear fell from her bleeding, swollen cheek. She closed her eyes, ready to meet her end...

Kurai emerged from behind Anna and stabbed a shadow tendril through her. His sunglasses were off, and in his pocket. His blood red eye had been brighter than ever. "I read up on demon powers on the way here. Turns out, you can't fight them, you just gotta promise not to hurt your demon and to grant one request." He raised another, the other tendril retreating as a thicker one smashed Anna against the wall. "Lucifer has been talking to me, and he has no bad intentions." At the 's', Kurai dragged it out a bit, almost like a snake. His tongue turned out to be forked. His horns seemed a bit bigger. "Now, I'm going to beat the holy hell out of her, and if she dies, then she dies. Thanks, Nara, for the article, by the way."

This was it...

Evelyn was about to bite it. This Russian psycho would kill her then go off hunting other supers. She closed her eyes, ready to feel the last ounce of life drain from her so painfully, Anna's hand crushing her frail neck into nothing.

Memories...they faded in and out of her darkening vision, memories of a girl, soft pink hair, eyes as blue as the open skies they lied under looking up at the clouds, laughing, smiling. Then, Evelyn leaned over, a gentle peck on the lips whispering, "I love you..."

The pink haired girl smiled. "I love you too..." She said returning the kiss, but...her smile faded somewhat. She sighed looking to the sky with worry.

"Jess? Baby...what's wrong?" Evelyn asked, her brow furrowing.

Jess shook her head, "Nothing...I'm just...scared."

Evelyn didn't have to wonder why. She laid beside Jess on the flannel blanket, running her fingers through her soft pink hair. "Don't be." She whispered kissing her again and caressing her cheek.

Jessica closed her eyes holding Ev's hand close to her cheek, yet another soft smile fading from apprehension. "But Evvie...I am. They won't stop hunting us. What did we even do to deserve it? We didn't hurt anyone or anything. They'll keep chasing us, I know they will...and."

"Jessica." Ev spoke a tad stern yet sincere. "It's going to be okay. I promise."

"But I..I..I don't want to lose you!" The girl was on the verge of tears. Evelyn held her close in her arms, Jessica resting her head against her lover's shoulder while Evelyn petted her hair. That always calmed her down.

"You'll never lose me, Jess... I will always be with you...from life...until death..."

She tilted her head to the side, gasping her final breath...

And then...the Russian's grip loosened....and Ev was set free.

Ayeka iceskates over to Evelyn to try to heal her with her own magic. She have doubts this will not work right now, she is not skilled much in water magic or healing. She quickly search Evelyn's body to find the dagger filled with wind. She breaks the dagger to heal her friend and hope Shadowboy holds onto something sturdy. She holds onto Evelyn for the wind to heal her and both of them not to get blown away.

Evelyn sputtered back to life gasping for air, coughing and groaning in pain. God damn, was her neck still sore, as weas the rest of her body from the beating she took. What the hell happened? First Anna had her pinned to the wall about to deliver the coup de grace. Then suddenly this black shadow appeared behind Anna and ran her through with...some sort of tentacle.

Wait...shadows...dark tendrils...

"Ku...Kurai...!" Ev sputtered weakly, another bout of ravaging coughs driving her down as she tried to stand. Meanwhile a barely concious and badly wounded Anna lied against the wall clutching her stomach and breathing heavily.

"Пожалуйста ... не ..." Anna whimpered holding a hand up towards the demonic Kurai. The pain she felt, twas obvious in those flickering green eyes of hers, pain...and fear... Fear...

"Пожалуйста ... не ..."

"Kurai...don't!" Evelyn managed to get out staggering to her feet. That look in Anna's eyes, the wounded Russian girl whimpering, beghing for them not to hurt her... Ev should be relishing this moment, to see the bitch down on her knees, to let Kurai have his way with her, but....Ev couldn't do it...

Anna wasn't killing of her own free will. She was a slave... Who knows whst monsters she had to face in her life, and Ev...she wasn't going to be a monster.

"Just...let her go, man... We need to get out of here." She hoped the demon would listen to reason. She hoped she wouldn't have to attack Kurai if he tried to harm Anna.

As Nara listened over the communication devices she sighed.
"Told you it would come in handy...just guys get out of there, who cares if U you kill the girl just get the hell out!" She was a bit exasperated now. What if they got hurt? What if one of them...died? She was switching back and forth from the map to a list of abandoned missions the Watch Dogs haven't a finished. She highlighted some and made a mental note to talk to the others about it later.

Ayeka looks over at Evelyn and make sure she is okay before they escape. She looks over at Kurai did not attack the Russian girl again. They were heros not killers or only have to kill intill it comes to it. She her it is a good time to escape as their enemy is bent over in pain. She skates over to the bakery where the underground passage is to get back to hq.

Xian sighed and went towards his room. He felt slightly tired bit he decided to say up a bit longer.
