Hotaru listened to his explanation attentively, though she just seemed to ignore Kaori's exit. She agreed that she was excited to play with him as well, but all the effort her body was putting in to healing and the fact the room was dark again was taking its toll on her, "If you're having to deny," she smirked at him, "Perhaps you're thinking about him either more than you realized orrr Kaori's tricked you in to thinking about him more than you wanted to," she said with a shrug before rubbing her throat.
"Larel, let's get some sleep," Mera said, "We could all use it after today," she murmured, her head leaned back against the wall, eyes closed. She just didn't have the energy to deal with anything. She felt everything from the past few days building up slowly on her, and it just felt like everything was dragging her down, her own exhaustion setting in.
Hotaru looked at Mera before looking back at Larel, "it might be a good idea. All of us are light sleepers so we'll wake up easily enough if anyone comes in here and Mera can always lock down the room so we can all get some sleep," she suggested, not sure if he was as tired as the both of them.
"If it would make you feel more secure Larel, I'll do that," Mera murmured, sleep on the edge of her voice. Hotaru was surprised, Mera never usually let anyone see her in this state of being too tired to function, but she supposed it was to the point of what was the point in hiding any of it. Mera was also tired of the current conversation and was hoping that by going to sleep it would go away and not return. Hotaru looked at Larel, wondering what his choice would be. She was tired, but she would feel guilty sleeping if he was the only one still awake.

Larel sighed a little bringing his hands to his head, so many things were on his mind and he didn't like admitting it but Alari was among his thoughts as well. He knew he couldn't afford to hesitate when it came to Alari, he may be waiting for the opportunity when he dropped his guard to strike. Though this made sense before thinking of it now Larel wondered if he was being a bit too cautious, however realizing he was thinking that just made him shake his head in disbelief.
Larel looked over at Hotaru as she spoke to him and let out a small sigh, he didn't like either of those answers but before he could say anything he heard Mera mention sleep which he wasn't fully against, hearing Hotaru was okay with it only pushed him further.
Larel glanced over at Mera as she confirmed on locking down the room, he could hear she was tired which after everything he couldn't really blame her for.
"Sorry Mera-sama I'd appreciate it," Larel said. "That and Kaori is nearby without his...supervision."
He'd feel a bit better knowing there was something extra there just in case, Larel ruffled his hair before closing his eyes feeling sleep starting to catch up with him.
"I hope it's the latter Hotaru," Larel said. "I wouldn't like it being the first one, anyway I'm all for sleep right now and with that said good night."
Larel shut his eyes and waited for sleep to take him, which he knew wasn't going to be long as a yawn escaped from him.

Alari sucked in a few noodles before lowering the bowl and letting out a small sigh, for the time being he had to wait for night to fall so he could take care of the general who he could tell was still making their way here. Thankfully Kaori was doing his side of things and he could tell everyone was okay, he considered rewarding him later. Alari lifted a few more noodles and brought more to his mouth, as he continued waiting he became incredible aware how alone he was at the moment. It took him a moment to realize it but he actually felt lonely right now, even with all of these people around them.
He stared at his udon before chuckling a little grabbing more noodles, he ate like this all the time when he traveled on his own, now he was so used to always being near Kaori or the others that doing it now actually made him aware how lonely this whole thing was.
"Guess I got more use to their company then I thought," Alari said continuing his meal.

A man entered the same little village that Alari was currently in, a couple of other people with him, all wearing the same sort of cloaks that Mera and Mary wore, those theirs were in much more pristine condition, having what looked like actual gold weaved in to the fabric. The man leading them had dark red almost brown hair and dark black eyes. The scowl on his face almost seemed like a permanent fixture. He looked around as he dismounted the large black horse he was riding, "They were moving in this direction. Split up and look for any signs of them," he said. The two nodded and started down the road on their smaller white horses, moving at a slow pace so they could keep an eye out for their targets, not really seeming to care if they got in anyone's way.
The three had been tailing after the Zaheer's, trying to figure out what exactly had happened with the family to sending them flying in all different directions from the camps. They had lost them in the woods and had come across the massacre of the last village midday, after Thanos had already left in another direction. He had assumed they would seek refuge in the nearest villages and had pushed his steed and his companions to riding as hard as they could to reach this place. It was past nightfall, but he wouldn't rest until he found his brother's murders and made them pay. To think it was his brother's own children only made him even more furious. Nero, Thanos, and Mera had always struck him as being much better children than that, so he wanted to give them the chance to explain themselves before delivering the punishment, but there would most definitely be punishment for their crimes.

"Release me!"
"That's not going to happen."
Yuni sat on the back of a slim cream skinned young woman with short black hair stopping at the top of her neck, she had what seemed to be black gloves on her hands and her outfit resembled a combination western and eastern attire. A pair of brown shorts that stopped at little past her knees and a black yukata that stopped at the wrist of her hands which were currently bound behind her back with rope.
She wore a simple pair of brown boots and was lying on her stomach trying not to lay her face in the mud inches from her face.
With a nod Yuni closed the notebook she was holding and put it back in her sleeve, with a sigh she glanced back at her catch the fifth commander who thankfully had her guard down when she ran into her. Yuni was thankful she did as it seemed she was closing the distance between herself and the group pretty quickly, knowing Alari he was already in place to stop her, Yuni made sure to inform him the situation had been handled.
"Get off of me! I refused to be captured by a dog of that man!"
"They got enough to deal with without all of you being in the way," Yuni said sighing as she stood up. "To be honest I'm looking forward to meeting them face to face, it's going to be interesting but thanks to you I now have to wait."
Yuni reached down and lifted the commander up by her hair before throwing her against a tree, she walked up and put her arm against her neck leaning in a little as she grinned at her current prisoner.
"Hika Yurin, fifth commander of Ai's army, specialty magic of course with those seals on you you're pretty useless right now."
Black markings covered what little skin Hika was showing and they were courtesy of Yuni herself, Hika grit her teeth as she noticed the bodies of all her comrades around her meaning no one was coming to help her.
"Now that I get a good look you actually have a pretty face Hika-chan, I'd get a decent amount for you if I gave you over to a brothel."
Hika's eyes widened in fear for a moment but she immediately narrowed her eyes at Yuni as she took a few steps away from the tree.
"You...you wouldn't dare. You don't have the-"
Hika's words were cut off as something gripped her neck, Yuni remained at a moderate distance but Hika could feel something similar to two hands squeezing her neck, her feet slowly lifted off the ground as Yuni folded her hands behind her back a small smile on her face watching Hika struggle as her body was lifted higher off the ground.
"You're not dealing with Alari-kun right now thus I don't know why you think your life isn't in danger, the only reason I haven't killed you is you're still of use to me. Now I'm a busy woman so let's go ahead and try this again. What information do you have on our little group?"

Alari stood up from his seat as he closed his notebook, it seemed Yuni had taken care of Hika without killing her which he requested. That meant she was close to them, hearing that actually concerned him a little, what would make Nokori send her all this way when he was handling the internal affair of the group personally.
Alari shrugged and paid for his food before leaving the building, if the matter was taken care of then there was nothing stopping him from returning to the inn.
At least that's what he believed until he noticed the group that had entered town, Alari stepped off to the side and watched the people enter the town taking note of the cloaks they wore, his eyes narrowed a little as something seemed familiar about them and though he had an idea he hoped his guess was wrong, unfortunately when the man removed his hood and Alari noticed his hair his suspicion was confirmed, going off what he said they were probably seeking Mera and possibly Mary.
Alari pulled a talisman out of his sleeve, waving it the talisman's letters glowed before dissolving in black flame, Kaori's seal would do the same and that would be a sign to be cautious on his end, he partially expected Kaori to set his off first.
Alari wondered if he should leave and run back towards the village, but if he did that these men were going to bother the people in this village and he couldn't just stand back and ignore that.
Alari stepped out into the middle of the road and slowly walked towards the man who seemed to be giving out the order, he folded his hands behind his back as he walked.
"Excuse me!" Alari exclaimed. "Your actions have the potential to disturb the villagers and it is quite late, surely your own slumber should take precedence over the disturbing of others? Ah how rude of me my name is Alari Wisdom now could you call your companions back?"

The man stopped and looked Alari, scowling, "I could not care less about these humans," he spat, "They are merely flies in my way to my goal," he took the reins of his horse and started to lead him down the streets, "If I were to find the murderers I'm searching for stashed away in these buildings, I would easily kill all in my way to take them. Perhaps seeing their "innocent humans" dying they might come out to stop me," he spat, clearly actually considering it, "But what is it of any business of yours, "Wisdom"?" he looked towards him.
"If you care so much about these peoples peace, you will tell of any gypsies you are aware of," he narrowed his eyes, "Would you do that and be honest? Or would you point in me some other direction just to make me leave or to misguide me from the gypsies to harbor them from their own justice for their actions?" he stepped closer to him, scrutinizing every little movement or breath that Alari made, looking for anything that might give him away. He had no elemental connection, the same as his brother, but he had spent a long time being a disciplinary leader that he pridefully believed he could judge someone quite clearly.
Alari had addressed him so easily that the man believed he had to be aware of the gypsies at the very least, as most gave them some sort of look of disgust, as the higher gypsies might do in return. So was he as the man believed or was it simply that he didn't realize who he was speaking to? Either way being told that he should have to do anything for the sake of some useless humans irritated him to no end.
The other two were still making their way down the road, not bothering to turn back upon hearing Alari address the man, neither seeming concerned about it as the man himself had not given them any directions. The stopped outside of buildings and shops, listening to the sounds and using their gifts to look inside to see if any of their targets were there, but they never dismounted their horses, not needing to to be able to observe the needed surroundings. They were almost more concerned they weren't finding them here than they would be if they did find them. Any of the possible suspects were known for their ability evade any pursuers, being some of the best with their elements in centuries. If they weren't here, then they might never find them.

Alari wasn't exactly pleased to hear him speak so ill of the humans but it seemed most underestimated humanity, that had been the downfall of some but he saw no point in bringing that up now. It seemed this man was looking for Mera and Mary possibly Raina and Eryn too, he wasn't sure what the murder was exactly for though he could wager a guess but he didn't believe killing to find killers really accomplished anything, it had barely been a few minutes but he was already not enjoying the company of this man.
Alari's face remained blank as the man spoke to him, save for his glasses glaring over as they tended to do on occasion, it seemed he was observing him for something which going off his words it was safe to guess he already assumed Alari was an enemy or someone that would misguide him from his goal. Since that was the case he was probably watching for any signs.
Alari showed no emotions or change in his body though, he had to be deceitful constantly just to keep Larel and the others from what he had to keep hidden daily, he wasn't proud of it but he was accustomed to his body language being observed, Larel did constantly keep an eye on him so he never dropped his guard, though he made it seem like he did on some occasions. However he also knew that by addressing him casually he created the possibility that he had a different mindset from those around him which would raise suspicion, but without evidence the most that could be gathered was speculation and Alari was fine with that.
"You are a very rude man Stranger-san," Alari said adjusting his glasses causing the glare to go away. "You speak ill of these people who I presume have done nothing to you and then you question me about matters when I know nothing about you or your affairs. I wish to enjoy the night and the peace it offers but you have disrupted that, and I'm pretty sure you just mentioned murder, if someone was murdered shouldn't you leave that to the guards and not disturb others for this 'justice' you seem to seek."
Alari folded his hands behind his back and stared at the man before offering him a small gentle smile.
"Stranger-san we must do our part to be kind to those around us, you should polish your manners and address people with respect, then I'm sure they would do so in turn. Now if you'd like to try again without the glare I would be more than happy to try and assist you in your endeavor to the best of my ability, but I must first understand what exactly that is. The Wisdom in my name isn't just for show after all."

"Mary-chan wake up!" Kaori pounded on anything he could near Mary's door to try and wake her up, Alari had used his talisman which meant something bad had happened, he wasn't sure what it was so he needed someone who could find out and Mary had that mind trick thing she could do. Though she had been though a few things recently so he didn't want to bother her about it but Mary was the only person he could really call upon right now. Larel would kill him, Hotaru would definitely kill him and Mera-dono may ignore him which would just hurt his feelings, with what just happened with Sybil added to it bothering them seemed like a bad idea.
Actually now that he thought about it wasn't she sharing a room with Raina? It had actually slipped his mind but he kept pounding as he had already come this far and stopping now meant no assistance. He didn't like the idea of making Raina mad but one mad Raina compared to a boy wielding a demon, a easily agitated vampire, and an already exhausted Mera seemed the better choice, worst case she tried to stab him and he could deal with that compared to being devoured or made into a permanent part of the building.
"Mary-chan get up it's Oji-san! Something happened at the fishing village! Oh maybe I can break in by...uh...well I don't' wanna run into it I'll bruise myself...um...think Kaori think."
He was sure he'd have to deal with waking up any neighbors but this was an emergency, there wasn't much time for tact for Oji-san to inform him of a situation meant something really bad happened.

"I need not respect you nor tell you more than I choose to. If you can't tell me where the gypsies are then you are no use to me and I shall find them on my own," He said sharply before starting to walk past Alari, "Go on about your false sense of peace and leave me and my comrades to our duties. No human guards are of any use to us as their punishments are not nearly severe enough to matter to our kind," he said shortly. They had once allowed humans to deal with one of theirs when he had committed a crime, but the gypsy had merely laughed it off as if it had been a joke all along and didn't realize that it had been actual punishment from the elders. Now they distributed punishments of the severest kind by their own hands. If he found the siblings guilty he would bind them with cuffs that were covered in runes that disrupted their connections to their elements and eliminated half their ability to fight back before they would be branded for the crime, usually somewhere that was visible or would allow the pain last a long time. After that they would flog them using weapons that tended to tear meat from bone if it hooked on just about right. No it wouldn't kill them, but they would be writhing in pain and unable to function for a long time, along with the permanent mental and physical scars. Their elders had found the punishment much more fitting for their people.
Sometimes the sanity of the elders was questioned, especially with punishments so brutal, as they were some of the oldest members of the camps, but no one dared to question them aloud as some other severe punishment would be doled out in return.

Raina yanked the door open, giving him an evil kind of glare, "She heard you, calm the hell down," she growled, "She's trying to check," she thumbed to Mary, sitting in the middle of the floor.
As soon as Kaori had said something was wrong with Alari, she had gone in to that state, trying to reach out to him. It was hard to focus, however, when he was banging and yelling, hence Raina's abrupt and snappy opening. Once it was quiet, she was able to focus clearly and Alari would probably feel her touching in to his mind, Alari? What's wrong? Kaori's quite upset about something. She was trying to look through his eyes but couldn't see very well, Hold on, I'm going to try something. After a minute of silence a translucent version of Mary appeared next to Alari, though she was squinting as it was really hurting her head to focus like this. She looked around, trying to see what was going on and gasped seeing the man, though only Alari would hear it in his head, That's our uncle. What's he doing here?

Alari watched the man in silence as he spoke turning slightly to watch him walk away, he was a little sad he couldn't get more info but he was more focused on making sure he didn't reveal everyone's location, he would have to keep an eye on them to make sure they didn't disturb the people too much.
He wasn't sure who this man was but something was bothering him about his search, he could feel something starting to form in his head as he tried to put the pieces of what was going on together.
In the middle of his attempt he felt a strange sensation in his mind, it seemed like a familiar one so he didn't offer any resistance too it and sure enough Mary's voice came shortly after, he had to hold in a relieved sigh seeing Kaori got through to someone.
He waited for Mary hearing she was going to try something, when she appeared next to him his brows arched a little but he lowered them as she mentioned that was their uncle, that seemed to serve as the last piece he needed to fully understand what was going on...or at least confirm his suspicions as he still had questions. He wasn't expecting it to hear the word uncle though that part concerned him a little.
"He seems to be looking for the four of you, at least that what I can infer. Unless their are other gypsies who came this way we're unaware of. He's looking for murderers to bring to 'justice' for their actions," Alari spoke in his mind hoping Mary could hear him as he didn't want to speak out loud even in whispers. "He questioned me if I knew where any were, I pretended not to know and he left me alone so I couldn't get any more information. I don't know why he's looking for you all though, it can't be about his brother he's still alive at least that's what Rin told me, barely but she was pretty direct about that. Maybe he's looking for the death of another but it's still pretty extreme to be willing to attack innocent people over this, I'm afraid that's all I know."
Alari adjusted his glasses making sure he didn't miss anything before speaking again.
"Still I'm glad Kaori got my message, it would have been bad if he got to the village all of you are in and had the element of surprise on top of that. I'm not sure what course of action to take right now in terms of him, I want to come back and warn everyone but he thinks very little of the humans I doubt he'd be against hurting them if it helped further his goal so I'm hesitant to leave. I'm hoping he'll choose the wrong village to search but that's hopeful thinking and he has men with him, I'm not sure how many but I saw at least two."

Kaori flinched as the door opened and Raina glared at him, he cowered a little but when she mentioned Mary was checking he straightened up a little relieved, he supposed he panicked a little but he was glad she was finding out what was going on, even though she was probably pushing herself in doing so. Kaori closed both his fists at the minor victory, he had been useful to Oji-san he felt a bit of pride able to do something at least.
Kaori leaned to the side to look at Mary-chan and realized he should probably be quiet right now, he nodded to Raina to confirm he understood and looked around for a moment before whispering to her cupping his hands on each side of his mouth.
"I'll wait out here, let me know when Mary-chan finishes cause I wanna know what happened," Kaori whispered before taking a step back and sitting on his knees across from the door.

Mary watched her uncle as Alari started talking before looking up at him. She balked a little bit at the mention of justice, looking towards where they had left their father, barely alive, but still writhing. She nodded when Alari mentioned he was sure her uncle would hurt anyone who got in his way, "He definitely would. The older gypsies don't believe in us interacting with humans being a good thing, finding humans to be like vermin since they believe that because humans became so large in populace the elves were brought down from their reigns of power and grace and left as nothing more than we are now. He, however, is who Mera largely blames for the change in our father. It's a longer story than I can tell right now, but there were believed to be two ways the elves "devolved." The first is us, the gypsies. The second was that they turned in to demons if the darkness in their hearts was powerful enough. Demons like Sybil and the one I'm sure possessed our father," she said as she looked towards her uncle again, "His name is Ovorion. He's not going to spare anyone who gets in his way. I'm going to get our destination from Mera, so by the time you return Raina, Eryn, and I are going to be gone. We're going to figure out a way to get rid of Sybil for good," she said, her eyes narrowing again, "Good luck, Alari. And be careful. It would be best you avoid further interactions with him, he'll likely lash out in response." She said before severing the connection.

Mary held her head as she came back, squinting as she opened her eyes, "We need to leave," She looked at Raina, "Go get the location of the temple from Mera, use that powder of yours if you have to. Ovorion is coming after us," she said.
Raina's eyes narrowed before she hurried down the hall, Eryn paling a shade, "Why's he after us? As if Father wasn't enough," he put his head to his chest.
"I believe he's under the impression we killed Father," Mary murmured, "He spoke of bringing justice to murderers and he's got at least two others with him to help search for us."
"Likely earth users since he's got no abilities," Eryn sighed heavily, "Why can things never just be easy?" he pouted a little bit

Alari looked over at Mary as she spoke of their uncle whose name seemed to be Ovorion, he didn't like that he really was willing to harm humans and off the ideals of an older generation.
Though that was only if he could call it that since there was a chance he may be of the generation going off their long lifespan but now wasn't the time to inquire about that particular subject. He was interested in learning more of their history but that would come later, especially with Mary getting ready to go and find a way to take care of Sybil, which he was happy to hear, at the very least they may know of a way to do so as he was stuck on a solution himself. They definitely understood the situation better than he did so he put his faith in their knowledge though he would be there to help if need be.
He didn't say goodbye but he did nod when Mary wished him luck, he believed they could find a way to remove Sybil so he knew he'd see them again, for the time being he just needed to focus on his own duties and hope Sybil remained silent but something in him said she wasn't just going to leave without some kind of fight.
Once Mary was gone Alari looked back at Ovorion and his men, he didn't want to create problems for the people here by making him lash out so he decided to keep his distance, but it was going to take a bit of time for him to return now, he couldn't leave this village knowing the lives of these people were in danger.
Alari took a step back into the shadows and went silent deciding to just observe them until they left the village, Mary could take care of the information being told to the others so he felt relieved knowing they would be aware of the danger.
"However if he's seeking justice...that would mean their fathers is dead...but we didn't kill him...so who did?"

Kaori remained still but he could still hear the conversation going on between everyone, he didn't understand what was going on or who this Ovorion was but they seemed to be coming after Mary and the others, he noticed Raina run down the hall with surprising speed and stood up before walking over to the door as Eryn pouted.
Kaori poked his head in as it seemed everyone was suddenly serious all of a sudden, he was sure Alari would come back with a serious expression on his face too, but there wasn't time to focus on that because he was sure he heard Mary say something that took precedence over the mood.
"Mary-chan you're all leaving?" Kaori said walking into the room a little.
Kaori brought a hand to his chin shutting his eyes for a moment at this information, he wanted to wait until things were a bit more fun but if they were leaving it might be a good idea to give it to them now.
"Mary-chan would you mind coming to Oji-san's room before you leave, it's just a few doors down from Mera-dono's. I'm sorry to ask with it being serious now but I got gifts for the three of you, I keep them in Oji-san's medicine box so I don't have them on me right now. I'd bring them to you but I don't want to come back up and find you missing either so if you have the time before you go please come by, I was going to wait for a better time but if your leaving...." Kaori trailed off at the end of his sentence before shaking his head patting his cheeks. "Oh and only you can come in Mary-chan, Eryn and Raina-san can't see theirs I worked really hard on them so it's a surprise but I don't mind if you see yours. If you have time of course I can see you're in a hurry, if not then just find me later and I'll give them to you."
Kaori waved to the two before leaving and making his way back to the room, once he was inside he closed the door and knelt down in front of Alari's medicine box before opening it and digging through it.
"Now where did I put them...." he mumbled tossing out one of Alari's gourds.

Mary looked at Kaori as he spoke, her brows furrowing a bit as he asked her to come to Alari's room. She slowly nodded though Eryn now raised a brow hearing the stipulation f only Mary comig, "I see how it is," he said, waving it off.
Mary rollwed her eyes, but Kaori was already gone before she could agree or disagree. She sighed, "I suppose it can't really hurt," she mumbled before she and Eryn worked on quickly getting their things together.

Raina slipped in to the bedroom, trying her best not to step on a board that creaked figuring it would wake Mera's little bodyguards up and she didn't have time to explain herself to anyone. If Ovorion was coming they needed to get gone quickly or he'd get completely in the way. She knelt in front of Mera, pulling out a powder, blowing some in to her face. Once Mera had inhaled it, Raina leaned over, whispering what she needed Mera to do. Mera's hands flattened on the floor, though she still seemed completely asleep. Raina got out something to quickly jot it down on, using a small piece of characoal as a make shift writing utensil. Mera began mumbling something and Raina started jotting it down quickly, sighing a bit when she realized how far away it was. Once Mera had given her the directions, Raina whispered for her to go back to sleep and apologized for stealing Mary away before Mera could finish that cloak she was making her, then slipped back out of the room.

As Raina returned with the directions, she and Eryn went to get any other supplies they'd need for the long journey, then Mary walked down to Alari's room, knocking on the door, "We've got just enough time that I can come see what it is you were talking about," she said through the door, not wanting to just barge inside. She looked out the window, trying to questimate how much time they really had before Ovorion would give up his search in one town before heading this way.

Ovorion was allowing his men to slowly make their way through the town, wanting them to be absolutely sure before they moved out that there wasn't any other gypsies left. However, one of them called his attention when they reached an inn. He went inside and a few minutes later came out with Alessea and Sola, their arms bound.
"Where are your siblings?" He looked at Sola, who had a stone faced expression on her face. Alessea looked as if she could barely stand, clearly having had a number taken out on her by the demon possessing her mate, but it seemed as if Sola had been caring for her wounds.
"If I knew, I'd never tell you," Sola said simply before getting back handed.
"They murdered your father, how can you-"
"That man wasn't our father. You murdered him when you ignored Nelothan's warnings and went to that temple," Sola looked at him, the fire burning in her eyes, "He TOLD you there were demons there, that their souls would be lurking- you could possessed too for all I know, but it doesn't matter. Your accusations are false as our father hasn't been here for a long time and therefore could not have been murdered by my siblings," she said, standing up right again. Alessea smirked a little bit hearing her, glad she was aware of that. Sola had held on to the hopes of their father returning longer and stronger than any other sibling, but even she had become aware of the fact he'd been replaced by a monster.
"So you're a co-conspirator in his murder then? We'll see you punished as well," Ovorion said coldly before motioning to his men. They tied the women up to the back of the horses, but before they could get going, fire exploded around Sola, burning the ropes, and she burned the ones holding Alessea before swooping her mother up and blasting away in the opposite direction of the village where Mera and the others were.

Fumbling noises came from inside the room as Kaori continued tossing things aside, once Mary knocked on the door the noises stopped and after a brief moment Kaori opened the door offering a small smile to Mary.
"I found all of them," Kaori said.
He held his hand out showing two small doll like objects in his hand, one resembled Raina with a small glare and the other Eryn with a small smile, the dolls had their hairs and were little versions of the two with writing on the back of them. Kaori chuckled a little before grabbing them by the small strings on the top of the dolls, reaching out he took Mary's wrist and set them in her hand before pulling his hands back.
"Oji-san taught me how to make them, I'm not that confident on how they turned out so I didn't want to give them to Raina and Eryn-san personally so I'm sorry to ask you too Mary-chan. They're good luck charms, you all get in trouble so often and the most I can offer is moral support since I can't really fight so I figured you could use some of these and then you'd be at least a little safer. I made some for everyone but with how everything's been lately I couldn't find a good time to bring it up."
Kaori bashfully rubbed the back of his head before lowering his hand and digging in his sleeve.
"I got a good luck charm for you too, I found it first so I put it in here. I wanted to thank you for being my friend...you're the first person to really give me a gift as a friend without any strings attached either so I'm very grateful. Also you gotta take care of yourself Mary-chan that's very important, keep it with you at all times so you know you got more people worrying about you. Your uncle is nearby so I'm trying to find it where I put it...ah here it is."
Kaori pulled his hand out of his sleeve but nothing was in it however in that split second he reached over and took Mary's wrist before pulling her towards him and bringing his lips to hers in one movement, his eyes lowering ever so slightly but not completely closing.
He didn't linger long knowing she was in a hurry but offered a small smile to her before speaking as he backed away.
"You have a beauty I could never manifest through a painting Mary-chan no matter how hard I try, I hope the charm works."
With that Kaori gently pushed Mary back, as he did his eyes let off a small yellow glow as a sad smile rested on his face, and in the next moment the door slammed shut.
The moment the door closed Kaori's presence completely faded from the area as if he'd never been there or even existed, Alari's room was left empty without a single trace of him, the only thing left in the room beimg Alari's medicine box.

Alari continued to watch Ovorion his eyes narrowing slightly he wasn't hurting innocents at least which brought him some comfort, however when he reached the inn and stopped Alari felt a wave of nervousness flood through him, and when he saw who was dragged out it he gripped his hakama not liking where this could possibly go.
When Sola was back handed Alari's hand twitched and he resisted the urge to step out, he had to be calm and patient thanks to that he confirmed there father really was dead and his possession had to do with some temple and it was something Nero had warned them about.
However when they tied the two to horses that was too much for Alari, he started to step out but when Sola burned the ropes he quickly moved back in seeing the two escape and thankfully away from the village moving in the opposite direction the others were in.
Alari let out an inner relieved sigh and distanced himself from the scene, just as he was about to follow again a weird presence filled him causing him to grip his chest...it seemed like something...something had changed. He wasn't sure what it was but it wasn't a good feeling and it worried him a little, Alari closed his eyes and decided to end his investigation and pursue what that feeling was.

Mary looked at the dolls surprised that he'd gone and made them, smirking a little at the chosen expressions, "They'll certainly apprecciate the effort," she murmured when he explained why he made them. Raina might not understand the point, but Eryn would be thrilled to see something made for him. She looked at him when he mentioned her gift, and tilted her head when he mentioned being the first person to be his friend. She smiled softly and nodded as he told her to keep it with her at all times. She started to look at his hand when he pulled it out of his sleeve, but her eyes went wide as he kissed her. Her face was bright red as he backed away, her eyes still wide as her mind was trying to catch up with what just happened, When he closed the door, she put her fingers to her lips, still bright red in the face. That was the first time she'd ever been kissed, and she was thrown for a loop.
"Mary, let's go!" Raina called from the end of the hall.
Mary looked towards her then back towards the door, "R-right," somehow leaving felt cruel right now. She swallowed, turning and forcing herself to hurry down the hall. They had to do this and she was the only one who could contact Nero, the only one who could really get rid of Sybil. She doubled back, though, wondering why that smile had been so sad, but Raina grabbed her arm and pulled her away. It wasn't fair. Why would he depart that way, knowing she couldn't stay and figure out why?
She sighed, glancing back at the inn again once they were outside on their way. When she got back, she was going to make him answer those questions.

Ovorion sent one of the two after them, giving him commands in their native tongue before getting back on his horse. He and his second man started on towards the next town, urging their horses forward at a break neck speed, wanting to waist no time. Ovorion felt that Sola's direction was too precise. She was trying to lure them away from something, which meant his target had to be in the other direction and he probably didn't have much time. Alessea and Mary were unique with their mental abilities and they were adversaries to be feared and hated. They could crush you with sheer will alone or warn their allies of your prescense.

Wake up! a voice in Mera's head jolted her awake Danger is coming! You must flee!
"Mother?" Mera looked around groggily, before shaking her head, What do you mean? Now was not the time to point out she was almost sure her mother was dead or dying.
Ovorion. Something happened, he's dead and Ovorion's looking for the murderers, which he is under the impression is you.
"Shit," Mera muttered, looking towards Larel and Hotaru. There was no time to wake them and explain and deal with unwilling backseat drivers. She turned to the window, opened it and jumped out, sinking in to the ground below. She could get away for now and the two of them would be safe from her uncle. None of them were up to the task of another pain in the ass at the moment. Though she hadn't been conscious she was aware her siblings were already gone, meaning by the time Ovorion reached the village there would be no gypsies to speak of.

Alari jumped from tree to tree making sure to stick to the shadows as he tried to make his way back to the village, Mary was leaving with Eryn and Raina so she would be safe and he was positive Mera may have already moved. He noticed Ovorion had left probably to go to the village and with the feeling that hit him earlier he decided return, partially to figure out what was making him feel this way, he clutched his chest as the heavy feeling in it just seemed to increase as he steadily got closer to the village.
He was still a long way off from it but that just made it harder as he suddenly felt rushed, he was still trying to fully reconnect with his Ki so he still couldn't feel echo's which made it harder to discern what was at the village.
He could sense something was off but he didn't know what exactly it was, he narrowed his eyes wondering if this was why Yuni was so close, perhaps Nokori noticed something.
He should have created some kind of communication back to the inn so he could have asked Kaori what was going on there, he could have at the very least left another talisman behind but he figured it would be too risky, he cursed himself for not doing it anyway.
For the time being regretting what he didn't do wouldn't change anything, he would get back there and find out what was bugging him, though Alari was unaware the answer was a rather simple one.

Larel's eyes twitched a little when Mera left but he remained asleep quite tired from today's events, however dreams or rather nightmares continued to play in his head as he slept, it wasn't anything he wasn't used too just Zenmaru forcing him to relive his previous transgressions. This time though there was something different about his dreams, he was surrounded by bright red flames in the midst of a large flower field, he had plenty of dreams of fields but they were never aflame before and something about the scene he was being forced to watch bothered him.
What memory was this and why was Zenmaru showing it to him? He seemed to be observing the memory not from a distance but personally, this was common too but he wasn't moving, taking lives, being bound, nothing that he normally saw in his dreams. Larel was lying on the ground his sword inches away from him, but for some reason his body would't respond too him and his entire body ached, he could feel the heat of the flames and in the distance he could see a town completely on fire, he couldn't see any people and he doubted that was because it was nighttime.
Larel decided to try and reach for his sword which he was sure he must have done in the past, however as he reached for it a sandal slammed onto the back of his hand, he grit his teeth at the pain and immediately looked up to see who had stepped on him.
Darkness hid the face of the man though, except for his mouth which was currently moving though Larel couldn't hear any words come out, there was a sword attached to his waist and Larel's eyes widened a little seeing it before the dream vanished.
Moments later the familiar dreams that Zenmaru normally showed him returned, again his body was forced to move against his will but his mind was wholly alert which is what Zenmaru preferred. That burning field dream drew most of Larel's attention away from the current scene, he couldn't stop himself anyway so it didn't matter if he focused on this one, he wanted to figure out what that dream was...but no matter how hard he thought about it no answer came.

Hotaru was awake, having been awake since Raina entered the room, but she decided to ignore whatever she was doing and tried to get back to sleep. She opened her eyes when she heard Mera exit through the window and slowly got up so she didn't wake Larel. She went over to the window and looked around, getting the understanding from the lack of any sign of her that Mera had slipped away. Running was usually not her first option, so Hotaru was mildly curious about what had driven her away. Of course, with everyone being at less than their best, she could understand avoiding a quarrel wherever possible. She leaned out the window, looking towards the other rooms. Seeing all the lights being out, she listened, trying to put her new-ish hearing abilities to use. "So it's just us," she mumbled when she didn't hear anyone. Something had sent the gypsy siblings running, so she didn't find it surprising that Kaori was nowhere to be found. She sighed, rubbing the back of her head, wondering what it could be. But she imagined the whole point of disappearing was so it wouldn't come aftter them and start something, so Hotaru decided the best plan of action was inaction. She went back to where she had been, sat back down, and tried to get back to sleep.

Mary glanced back the way they had come, hoping her mother had contacted Mera. Even in her beaten and battered state, her mother was strong enough to reach out to her children to make sure all of them where getting as far away from Ovorion as possible. It was rare that any earth user could see as far as Mera could, but it was better to be safer than not. She was worried about all of them- what if someone ratted out the group as a whole and he interroagated them about where they went? The sensation on her lips was still also adding to the list of things distracting her before Raina's voice created a sharp snap to reality.
"Hurry up, Mary!"
She looked to see she had fallen behind and rushed forwards. Travelling on their own allowed them to move a bit quicker, though their companions of late kept up easily enough.
"We're of no use back there getting caught by him. RIght now we have to get to that temple before those demons catch on to what we're doing. The bigger head start we have the better," Raina reminded her once she had caught up.
""R-right, sorry," Mary mumbled, taking a deep breath. Didn't help keep her mind on track.

Ovorion reached the village, though the sky would be at its darkest state by that point. He barked orders at the only remaining man with him to searching every place. The villagers he woke decided it best to stay indoors as the look on his face was murderous. Though he had no abilities like most of the children had, it was the same as with their fathr. He was a skilled fighter and could easily put them in their place if they were off guard for even a second. He got down from his horses, going towards the inn while his man quickly scanned the houses. He walked in, looking around before going to the front desk, interrogating the desk clerk for any signs of gypsies.
Hotaru heard the voice downstairs making the demands and she stood up and slipped from the room, hoping Larel wouldnt get upset if he woke before she got back, but she figured it would be a good practice to see who all was demanding to find their friends so she would know who to watch out for.

Larel's eyes twitched as he heard the galloping, he didn't open his eyes trying to figure out what exactly the noise was. The images were still playing in his head but at the very lest he was semi-conscious and aware the noises weren't in his dreams.
It wasn't until a bit of time had passed that he opened his eyes a yellow glow coming from them as he peered through the darkness, he had picked up the movements of Ovorion's men and was trying to figure out what was going on to make that much noise this late at night, a part of him wondered if it was bandits but that thought was put aside as he realized that both Mera and Hotaru were missing from the room.
He immediately grabbed his sword cursing himself for going back to sleep and started to move towards the voices downstairs, but just as he was about to reach for the door a hand grabbed him and yanked him back.
He peered up to meet the red eyes of Alari who just shook his head, Larel forced himself out of Alari's light hold and glared at him opening his mouth to speak but Alari covered it and brought a fingers to his lips knowing Larel could see it.
Once he was positive Larel would remain quiet he pointed down as a silent indication to stay in the room before going out the window, Larel watched him leave his grip tightening on his sheath

Alari stared at his medicine box as he noticed a small doll on top of it, reaching down he picked it up to see it was a good luck charm he taught Kaori how to make, he smiled a little seeing he had been working so diligently on them, it even had a small glasses on it, but it's creator was nowhere to be seen.
Alari set the doll down remembering the ill feeling he had earlier, seeing Kaori was absent from the room caused that feeling to return, especially since he couldn't find any trace of where he went.
He decided to go out and look for him, Mera and the others were already gone so at the very least they were safe and this Ovorion seemed to be only looking for people who knew about gypsies, aside from that he was just being obtrusive.
Alari started to leave but noticed the shadows near him move, he turned towards the movement to see Larel staring back at him, he noticed his eyes were narrowed at him and he was pretty sure he understood what he was trying to ask, he wanted answers to what was going on and figured he had something to do with it.
With a sigh Alari made a motion with his hand to follow before moving out the window, Larel followed Alari eventually ending up on the roof of the inn, he noticed Alari on his stomach and lied next to him.
"Okay so what's going on?" Larel said keeping his voice low.
Alari wrote in his notebook before holding it out to Larel, it seemed he didn't want to speak at all.
That man is looking for Mera, I'll go ahead and tell you that Mera should be safe.
Larel took the notebook and his writing utensil before writing his message down and showing it to him.
"What happened to Mera-sama? What did you do?!
Alari shook his head and took the notebook back glad he was at least willing to communication like this.
"I didn't do anything I just go back, I know you don't trust me but at the very least pay attention. Avoiding engaging the large man looking around, innocent lives could be put in danger if you do. Don't let him know you know Mera or any gypsies, and try to find Hotaru, she needs to know this too."
"Why should I listen to you?"
"You'll endanger Mera and Hotaru's lives if you act without thinking."
Larel seemed to hesitate for a moment but with a bit of reluctance he wrote his next message handing the notebook back to him
"Fine but if Mera-sama is harmed in anyway, I will end you."
Alari offered a nod and moving back fell into the shadows before moving away from the area, Larel glanced in the direction he went before slinking into his own shadow rising out of the shadow between the buildings.
Larel decided to just find Hotaru, he could do that at least while trying to wrap his head around what was happening.

"You're lyiing!" Ovorion roared at the man behind the counter, slammming his fist on the counter. He looked like he was going to reach for him and Hotaru knew she'd get quite the lecture from Mera if she didn't at least try and stop him. She grabbed a kunai from her bag and flung it, and Ovorion began to rage even more as it slammed in to his hand.
Hotaru stepped out beforee he came storming, she didn't want him getting the innocent guests at the inn involved in his tantrum,, "I didn't realize children got to be so big these days," she said as she put her hands on her hips. However, she noticed the bright red flower pop out of the wall behind him and immediately got the message, "There aren't any gypsies here. They got tipped off and ran on ahead to the next town," she said, "So just leave."
"How would you know what their plans are," he growled, coming closer.
"Because I was enjoyingg a nice evening meal with some of them. They were just passing through as am I and we decided to enjoy each others company. One of them said they were told someonee was coming after them, though I never saw anyone talk to them, and they all got up and hurried out the door. Never saw aa group move that fast," Hotaru lied smoothly. It wasn't the first time while staying with Mera that she'd had to use a similar story and since there was still plenty of truth in it, most people never caught on to the fact she was lying.
Ovorion narrowed his eyes at Hotaru, clearly deliberating on whether or not her story was true, "How llong ago did they leave?" he finally demanded.
"About twenty minutes ago at best," she added.
"Why did you just attack me then?"
"BEcause you were about to harm someone who has nothing to do with the incident. Couldn't let that happen, now could I?"
Ovorion watched her, waiting for anyy sign that would give her away as lying before starting out of the building. Hotaru waited until the door closed before walking over towards the innkeeper, "Run," she whispered to him, ""Run and hide and do not return until you know that man is gone," she turned and pushed him forwards.
That shade of red on the flowers from Mera meant the person was irratioonal and a very dangerous threat. It was alwayss better to avoid a fight with the people she applied that flower too, but they usually always came swingging regardless of how well she lied to them. And at this pooint, she iimagined if he caught on to what she was, he would deem it necessary to deal with her as he was going to do with the human who didn''t give him what he wanted.

(It's alright I've been there, sorry for the short length I decided to wait a bit on something)

Larel hid in the shadows as he heard Ovorion's loud voice, he grit his teeth but kept his presence hidden as he watched the scene unfold remembering this was the man Alari had mentioned, when he reached for the innkeeper Larel's eyes narrowed and a kunai fell from his sleeve into his hand, however he noticed another fly through the air striking the man. He couldn't help but smile a little not surprised to see Hotaru appear shortly after, he put the kunai away his hand resting on his sword as Hotaru spoke to the man.
In any other circumstance he would have flown out without a second thought but for some reason he actually listened to Alari's warning though he was prepared to strike if he went for Hotaru, though Larel noticed that Hotaru was speaking to the man and seemed to be persuading him to leave.
Once he was gone and the innkeeper was pushed away Larel stepped out of the shadows nearby removing his hand from his sword, he raised a hand as a greeting before glancing over towards the door.
"Alari of all people stopped me for some reason, I'm just going to follow you and we'll talk later about why I woke up by myself," Larel said looking back over at her.
He was being careful with his words since he wasn't sure who was listening, but he stared at her wanting to make it clear that he wasn't really upset offering a small smile to help support it. Whatever was going on that man had something to do with and Hotaru's reaction meant she may know more than he did, but this was only a guess though he knew Alari had the information not that he'd willingly share it.
"I'm getting an extra helping of udon later," Larel said sighing a little.
Mera ran off again so he was going to be selfish next time they went to get something to eat, just for worrying him again though he trusted she did so for good reason so he'd be patient for now.

"She'll buy you a restaurant if we can get out of this without incident," Hotaru muttered lowly, starting back towards him, "Which if he decides to act on the suspicious look in his eyes, won't be the case," she caught Larel's arm and started towards the back exit. Right as they reached the back door, she heard the front door open again. She didn't glance back figuring it was him, "We should probably get away. If Mera thought that running was the best idea, and she gave me the red flowers that means he's a psycho, we should probably high tail it out of here," she suggested before jumping up on to the roof of the next building, starting to move away from the inn, Ovorion's bulking form came storming down the hallway.
"Hey, you!" he called out, "Get back here!"
Hotaru most definitely didn't plan on coming back to face him. Her head snapped to the side through when a vine reached out, grabbing her arm. It yanked her down, slamming her to the ground.
Oops. There's an earth user that ain't your friend.
"Shut up," Hotaru groaned aloud, trying to get up, but another vine wrapped around her, "Fuck this," She put her hands on the vines, setting them on fire before jumping away from them, only to see Ovorion storming out of the building, coming her way.
"Careful, sir," The cloaked gypsy called from the end of the alleyway, "She's got fire," he added before Ovorion turned to look at her.
"Well, damn," Hotaru sighed a bit as she quickly got back up, "Looks like we gotta squash the bug to prevent the bull from rampaging," she murmured
Ooooh clever analogy
"Shut up."

Larel offered a nod at the idea of moving from the guy, especially if it came recommended from Mera and though he didn't care much for his opinion Alari even said something about it. Besides the faster they got away, the sooner he could find out where Mera ran off too but for now both of their safety was at the front of his mind.
He followed Hotaru not exactly happy to hear Ovorion call out to them, he landed on the roof just as the vine pulled Hotaru down, he reached for his sword knowing those weren't coming from Mera but when Hotaru burned them he moved his hand away and looked back towards the ground.
He caught the 'shut up' that came from her and he assumed Sybil was talking again, that seemed to be the last thing this situation needed and as soon as the thought came to mind Zenmaru immediately put in her opinion which made his eye twitch.
He was pretty sure she did that just because Sybil was, just so he could be in the same situation and thus feel a bit more empathy for Hotaru which he couldn't focus on at the moment, but by not doing so he'd just feel guilty later. He truly hated how she could mess with his guilt like that but he shook his head and flexed his hand letting darkness flow down his arm ignoring her laughter.
"I'll take care of the one using vines, run ahead if the opportunity presents itself I'm right behind you. Give me the location Zenmaru," Larel said. "Yes now why would I need it later."
He glanced to his right and after a moment he turned his attention forward again, he needed to take out whoever was manipulating those vines and Zenmaru mentioned a presence in the hallway that didn't match the ones around it. Larel extended both his arms and took a deep breath before bringing his hands together interlocking his fingers. When he did the darkness in the hallway seemed to distort for a moment before sharpening itself and sticking out at all angles in the hallway even piercing through some of the walls and ceiling, Larel made sure not to expand them too much to avoid harming the residents but the hallway was literally covered with the expanded shadows.
Larel pulled his hands away causing the darkness to return to normal letting out the breath he was holding, he figured it was a shame Ovorion wasn't in there anymore.
"Hopefully that did it," he said putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. "Still best to be ready just in case, even if I got him I doubt there's just one here."
