Is it fine for our pokemon to start out with an egg move or no?

Will battles be just hit hit next turn or will in require a modicum of skill (i.e. use a move in a different way, such as making a stone wall with stone edge, or setting up stealth rock and having a pokemon like ferrothorn use its vines to swing from one rock to another)?

It's no problem at all Savo I like answering questions!
Yeah, your Pokemon can have an egg move, but for simplicity sake, each Pokemon can have one egg move.
And battles will be written out like how you say, battles aren't just hit hit next turn it will be sort of like the Anime and that you can use moves creatively and use Pokemon's natural abilities in battles~

Samuel is one of the few older teens around the place, though he isn't one of the larger giants wandering the isles. Standing at about 177.8 cm, this brunette hair hued boy is around average height with unkempt hair. While it seems to spike off in different directions, it's actually a lot softer and smooth to the touch. Sam's eyes are usually half open for, well, half the day (or until he runs), whilst they become wider than a Snorlax later on in the day; his eyes are a bright olive coloration. He can be often caked in sweat, though that's more attributed to the unusual wear for the weather around Alola. The only thing that really isn't out of place is his cyan tank top with writing on it. Sams wardrobe also involves a white jacket with red stripes running down both sleeves. Finally, he has dull, worn out green pants with jet black shoes.

Personality:

Samuel can easily be considered a walking contradictions of sorts; on one end he enjoys relaxing to the point where he falls asleep (and much to the chagrin of Jojo). On one end, if in the correct mood, he can be just as active as his first pokemon an attempt to get some of his friends to go on runs with him... which is a bad idea.

While he does have an open and happy go lucky demeanor, he still has quips of immaturity. He enjoys messing around with people and pokemon alike, teasing or "misplacing" (moving/hiding) objects in the vicinity. Sam even loves messing with Jojo when they are running such as spooking him when running after going out of sight... lets just say he seldom does that anymore considering he got punched in the gut one too many times. Asking him to stop is rather risky as it's a fifty-fifty chance he will continue messing with you or actually end his charades.

Regardless, if asked for help, he will most likely willingly go along with it, considering he never has anything better to do. Usually a little more optimistic when requested for assistance.

Jojo comes off as somewhat of a serious pokemon, despite his eccentric actions such as peculiar posing. He often spends most of his time striving to drag Samuel out of bed, usually with some form of annoyance. When Sam does give in, they go out for a work out in the form of a run or two which makes Jojo feel spectacular. Jojo can also be almost unmovable to any challenge and even stubborn for attempting to complete it. Enjoys playing volley ball.

What are you ideas?

@Pudding my ideas, huh. Other than the standard "friends are friends" sort of deal, there isn't much to say other than the idea of how they react around each other; handle their antics (i.e. Samuel would probably tease Keiko over her height in a non-malicious manner, or attempt to get her to run with Nico).

Along with that, there is the pokemon too; they'll react in a certain way around different types of pokemon they've been with so that's also a consideration too. Do you have any ideas or no?

Personality: Isacc is a fairly approachable guy who doesn't take kindly to people who think their above anyone else. He is quite confident in his battling abilities and has trained several pokemon through the years. Isacc respects anyone he thinks has potential to be a strong trainer and will usually offer advice to anyone who he thinks could use some. He's a level-headed individual and able to keep his cool in stressful situations usually first to offer advice.

Bonds:
1.His father who he gets along with fairly well though his dad loves to bug him and constantly trying to find him a girlfriend.
2.His chesnaught that that for the most part is like a butler he was also Isacc's starter when he first became a trainer at the age of 10.
3.His Goomy he nicknamed Ryume this is the pokemon he chose to use as his first team member in the alola region. The goomy is newly hatched but is extremely close to Isacc already.

Pokemon's Nature: (for battle purposes he's mild) Ryume is a fairly mild mannered but he is extremely defiant to anyone beside Isacc and will ignore any commands given to him unless it's Isacc.

Here's what I got, let me know if anything needs changing:

Akoni

Name: Akoni

Age: 13

Gender: Male

Apperance: Akoni is a bit short for his age at around five feet and five inches tall. He has brown eyes coupled with short, jet black hair and a straw hat that allows only strands of it to be seen at a given time. As a farmer's child, he is most commonly seen wearing blue, denim overalls. The overalls have a variety of rips and tears that are covered up with sewn in brown patches. Akoni wears a checkered shirt with a red and black pattern under said overalls, but has no pants to speak of.

Personality: Akoni is a precocious child who has been noted to have a natural talent with pokemon battling. He is very knowledgable about strategies and the most effective methods to bring out the full potential of each creature. He can find something good to say about near any pokemon, even some of the ones most would be scared senseless of. He would have left to take on the trials two years ago, but certain family issues have prevented him from leaving. Akoni is a hard worker and confident (rightfully so, he thinks) about his abilities. He is the sort of boy to happily go off on tangents about pokemon and help those who need advice getting better. Generally, he is friendly and always happy to strike up a conversation, provided that he has no responsibilities he has to attend to first. His biggest downfall has to be his great pride, which makes it hard for him to swallow defeat or even ask for the help of others if he needs it. For all the help he gives others, he likes to pretend that he's perfectly capable of doing everything on his own.

Bonds: Molokai: Akoni has a deep bond with his Mimikyu and lets it spend time outside of its pokeball for as long as it wants. Unlike any sane person, he has no problem with Molokai taking off its disguise in private. Although, he prefers it be kept on when they're outside as to not cause mass hysteria. It's happened quite a few times already...just the thought of seeing what's under makes some people antsy.

Ano: His father, once a wealth of information from his days as a trainer, but is now a simple farmer who can barely get up from bed these days after the death of his wife three years ago. Akoni's relationship with him is a bit strained. The boy has had to pull his father's weight for quite some time now. In a sense, Ano is the one holding him back from his journey. While he still loves him, he has grown to resent his father for holding him back.

Pokemon:

Pokemon's Nature: Molokai is protective of Akoni to a frightening degree. While somewhat silent and shy around others, it is no stranger to threatening those it feels are a danger to its trainer. To this day, Akoni is the one person who has seen what Molokai looks like under its disguise. According to him, it's pretty cute. Not a single person believes him.

Pokemon's Move Shadow Sneak, Swords Dance, Leech Life, and Play Rough.

Trinity

Name: Trinity Cain

Age: 13

Gender: Female

Apperance: Her long blonde hair is generally pulled off to the side, and her pale skin tone causes her to stand out. Her red glasses she generally has to push up, especially if she is in a hurry. She is a little small for her age, but she never lets that stop her from doing anything. Her dark green eyes stand out clearly on her face. (see photo for better description)

Personality: She is generally a kind and understanding person. She is a little shy when she first meets people, but eventually she will warm up to them. Trinity cares immensely for those she is close to and doesn't want any harm to come to them. Even though she is smaller than most kids her age, she will fight to help her friends and she is loyal to them. She is a little bit of a hot head though and is quick to anger, but is also just as quick to calm down.

Bonds: Her strongest bonds she has is with her parents. Trinity is an only child so she has grown close to her parents. She is generally closest to her mother when it comes to it, her father is always out and about traveling around the island. The family is originally from the Johto region which, and there is a slight strain on their relationship with such a big move away from everyone they knew.

She also has a strong relationship with her Wooper Kala, who was given to her by her grandparents before they left Johto. She keeps close to her Pokemon friend and hopes to remain close to her Wooper

Pokemon's Nature: The happy go lucky pokemon generally sticks with its trainer and always smiles. It is getting used to its strange surroundings, but is happy to try and befriend any pokemon. Kala is originally from Johto like her owner, but likes the sunshine in the Alola region.
