Age: Old enough to be yer daddy! What kinda' question is that? Y'born without manners kiddo?
Race: Gifted Human
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 165 lbs.
Hair Color: Salt and pepper
Eye Color: Brown

Description: Bill was a handsome detective back in his early years, and some still say he can still wear it. He's a seasoned agent who earned his way into the Assistant Director's seat. His age makes him easy to underestimate. He can still outrun and outshoot the best of them and he don't need no fancy-smancy powers to do it. He is the scruffiest man you'll ever meet and always looks like he just left the house without shaving and threw on the old work shirt and work pants. He often wears his tie loosely around his neck, which usually messes with the OCD-folk in his unit, but they'll be all right. Loose tie, dress shirt, dress pants, and the old detective trench coat completes his ensemble...maybe a cigar and a mug of coffee too. His eyes aren't what they used to be, so he can be seen wearing reading spectacles every now and then. His body is covered in scars, old bullet wounds, and even scratches from beasts not found naturally in the wild.

Personality: Bill is a hard ass. You either can like him or you can hate him. He will always be over the rover harassing agents, especially when they screw up. He will get in the face of the largest and fearsome of beasts and tell the creature to go to hell without fear of consequence. He's probably the ballsiest old man most agents have ever met and worked with. He keeps the agency running when the elusive Director isn't around. No one has ever really seen The Director but Bill has and he doesn't disclose any information about him/her. Bill is a father-figure to most agents in the force. He doesn't get into anyone's business unless they bring him into it, so don't go telling him about boyfriends or girlfriends. Also, don't hint to him that you're dating someone. You'll never hear the end of it. Bill does what he wants and he likes to believe he operates at least 95% within the rules and procedures. No one is perfect and if anyone has a problem with that, then they can kiss his ass.

Background:

Jesus Christ where to start...

Yeah, that was me. I was pretty handsome back then.

I was born in 1960, when racism, drugs, the Cold War—all that was still goin' on. I was the last person I’d expect to be chosen to be a part of The Syndicate. I don’t have a history of valor, war stories, none of that shit. I was born and raised in Kennesaw, Georgia to Lauren and Mick Hadley. My childhood was spent mostly as a country boy, and eventually I went to college at Georgia State and majored in English. After that, I spent several years as an English teacher, and it didn’t pay all too well so I got into some dirty business. I was a thief—a bank robber to be exact. I got away with it for ten years, and I was so confident and sure that I would never get caught. I had a house, I had drugs, I had women, I had cars, and just so much money that I grew tired of it and started giving it away. It was all about how you stashed it back then.

Anyha, I might have escaped the thorough scrutiny of the FBI, but another agency approached me one day—one I’ve never even heard of or knew existed.

December 1992 was the day I was approached by The Syndicate…shit, was I amazed. They had figured me out and not just me…They figured out that I had an imaginary friend. It was either join The Syndicate or go to some crazy supernatural prison they got somewhere ‘round here. It was obvious what I chose to do…I RAN!

I didn’t say that I was smart back then. That hadn’t been my best decision, but The Director actually liked me and decided for me that I would become an agent. And now I’ve been in this business for 24 years. It’s a shorter time than most of these immortals, but I don’t think The Syndicate trusts non-humans. Hell, let that be a poor excuse. I’m good at what I do.

Weapons:

Springfield XDM 4.5: There is nothing fancy about the pistol itself. It is a standard 9mm built for accuracy. However, Bill does carry some special ammo cartridges for it.
xNormal - 18 rounds (2 magazines)
xSilver - 18 rounds (2 magazines)
xUV - 9 rounds (Single magazine)
xDispellers – 9 rounds (Single magazine)

Throat Knife: Bill carries a concealed throat knife that he carries up his sleeve. It’s small and looks like an arrowhead in appearance, and its designed to be inserted right into the soft area beneath someone’s chin. He not only uses this knife for combat but also to pick at his nails or cut open letters.

Skills:

Self-Defense: No one expected that the old man knew how to throw down. That was your first mistake. Bill is proficient in taking down at most five opponents in a single fight. He performs a mixed martial arts technique for submissions, grappling, and throws. He needs it now more than ever for he isn’t as strong as he used to be.

Charming: This guy…Most agents are used to Bill always being up their ass about every small thing. But when he’s around important people/guests or even a pretty lady, agents will see a side of him that they just might think is disgusting. When did he get so polite? That’s not Bill! Even as old as he is, the Old Dog still knows how to work his magic.

Management: It is truly an impressive skill to be able to run an entire Syndicate all by yourself. He’s been the face of The Syndicate for years. Some agents even think he is The Director.

Marksman: For a human, he is an excellent shot. Since he’s an agent in The Syndicate, most people want to believe that he’s using some sort of supernatural ability to hit the target so well. It’s called practice jackass! Maybe you should do it more!

Powers:

Kissy: What is Kissy, you ask? Why it’s Bill’s imaginary friend. She’s actually a pink fairy dragon about the size of a Volkswagen Beetle and just about as heavy as one when she wants to be. She has insect wings, sparkles, and flies around completely undetected by any radar except for when she moves objects. Mind you, this is how Bill described her to The Syndicate. How did The Syndicate find out about Kissy? Well, they exercised some damn good surveillance and might have even used some magic. No one can see Kissy but Bill—no one. She is believed to completely come from his conscience and is completely made up, but not even Bill knows how she exists. Bill and Kissy have been inseparable since he was young, and even now they still continue to be. They work together solving the world’s supernatural problems.

Name: Richard Arachnidae
Nickname: Spinner or Rick
Age: 27
Race: Myth (Decedent of Arachnae)
Height: 5ft. 4in.
Weight: 135 lbs
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Black

Description: Richard is a fair skinned young man with an average face, the kind you would lose in a crowd if not for his six eyes. His main eyes are his largest and they sit in the normal position on his face, but about an inch above each eye is a smaller one, and the last set of eyes are closer together and about an inch above the middle set. Normally he covers the top two sets of eyes with a bandana to blend in easily. He is a natural bald and is unable to grow facial hair which gives him a more professional look. His arms and legs are covered with short thick brown hair. On the topic of legs,
Richard has four spiderlike appendages growing out of his back with three main joints and hooked feet. The only way to hide them is folding them up against his back inside a trench coat.

Personality: Richard is normally a quiet man who prefers to stay in the back and people watch, but the moment a topic comes up that he is interested in he can become very social. He is a pacifist by nature and will always prefer to settle differences with words rather than violence. Unlike others of his kind he despises being isolated, those who worked with him would even call him clingy.

Background: Richard never knew his parents as he was found as an infant by a P.R.I.E.S. agent in a back alley. His multiple eyes and arachnid appendages made him instantly something that the agent had to take away from the public area. The agent's name was Deanna Therize, a human researcher who liked to take the back ways to and from work. With him being a supernatural creature, it was hard to get the paperwork for his citizenship and to legally adopt him through the Syndicate. After x-rays, brain scans, physicals, and other sorts of tests the Syndicate allowed Deanna to raise little Richard as her own. The only clause to the agreement was that if Richard became agressive or hostile, the Syndicate had the right to take him into custody.
Most of his young life, Richard was watched closely by the Syndicate and his adoptive mother tried her best to keep him happy and raise him right. She did her job well and he had a semi normal childhood. As he grew his love for science and puzzles grew as well. Whwn he was old enough he began his studies and training within the Syndicate. A few years ago he graduated and now he works as a field researcher and is currently looking to become the head of the department. Sadly his mother won't be able to see him move up in rank as she passed away a few years prior to him getting the job with the Syndicate.

Weapons: Taser, pepper spray, and a 9mm semi auto Ruger that has never been fired outside of the shooting range.

Skills: Investigation - Richard is fairly good at finding clues at crime scenes and piecing them together.

Research - Richard's ability to speed read and his skill with searching files and databases means it takes him little time to find the information he is looking for.

Chemistry - Richard loves experimenting, expecially with chemicals. He knows how to make antivenom and antidotes to poisons.

Level head - So long as he isn't on the barrel end of a gun, or completely surrounded by people that want him dead.

Powers: Webs - As Richard is part spider, he has the ability to spin spider silk using spinnerettes that are at the back of his mouth. He can make two types of silk, the first is hair thin and extremely sticky but easy to break. The second is fairly thick and strong enough to hold up to two hundred pounds on a single strand. So far he has never been able to run out of the thin sticky silk but he can only make up to about ten feet if the stronger silk at a time. It takes a few hours for his body to produce more.

Pheromones - Richard constantly produces pheromones that make normal spiders friendly to him.

Venom - Richard's canines are fairly sharp with tiny holes in them that excrete a mild neurotoxin. The neurotoxin causes slight loss in motor control, making the person feel sluggish. The toxin is non lethal and wears off after
half an hour.

Spider legs - When Richard's two spider legs are out, he can scale flat walls with ease and grip onto things that his hands normally could not. He has full control over the legs as he has had them since birth. Just like any other muscle, they have to be exercised to stay in shape, even though they have a hard exoskeleton. Just like spider's legs, there is a tube filled with fluid that runs through them that expands and contracts to move the legs.

Name: Persephone Kalavos

Nickname: Seph

Age: 22

Race: Myth (Gorgon)

Height: 5 foot 6 in her human disguise, 8 feet long in her true form

Weight: 160 pounds in her human disguise, 200 pounds in her true form

Hair Color: Red in her human disguise, N/A in her true form

Eye Color: Blue in both forms

Physical description of her human disguise: Rather slender, with curly hair and a small scar on her right cheek. Always wears a light blue dress, and has a green snake tattoo on her left shoulder, with no other body ornamentation. Wears wire-rimmed glasses.

Physical description of true form: Her skin is patterned much like so: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaboon_viper#/me.. and is scaly throughout. Her lower five feet are a serpentine tail, and she is human in shape above the waist. Her face is heavily wrinkled, and her hair consists of two dozen 18-inch long snakes with individual minds and personalities. These snakes can inject a venom similar to her own, although lesser in both dosage and toxicity. If she opens her mouth wide enough, one can see the two-inch fangs that normally fold up against the roof of her mouth.

Personality: Seph is very laid-back, with a rather relaxed view of the world. She prefers to talk things out without resorting to violence, but realizes that it may be necessary. Still, her ultimate goal is to cause the absolute minimum amount of mayhem needed to get the job done. When not on an investigation, she prefers more intellectual pursuits, and is in fact in the process of getting her degree in chemistry online. She also has a keen interest in magic, specifically in enchanting objects, and can be found assisting in arcane research on occasion.

Background: Gorgons are a very old race, and Seph can trace her own lineage back to the original Medusa herself. That said, being that she is fairly young herself, there isn't much to tell. She was born in Greece, but moved to Baylor at an early age. Middle-class background, used an enchanted amulet to fit in with her human classmates. Heard about the Syndicate two years ago, joined up, and got assigned as an agent. Her service record so far has been unremarkable, though.

Weapons: Seph carries a 9mm automatic pistol and a knife. Nothing special about either of them.

Skills: Chemical knowledge, negotiation, expert pistol shot.

Powers: Gorgon Gaze- Seph's stare does have supernatural properties, though some of them have been exaggerated in the telling. First off, it's an active power; she has to actually want to use it. Secondly, it requires direct, constant eye contact. It doesn't actually turn the victim to stone, merely paralyze them, and she can only use it on a single victim who's within five feet. She also can only hold the target for about five seconds, fellow supernaturals can resist, and it takes so much concentration that she can't use her venomous bite, though her snake hair can. Despite all that, it's still a very useful power.

Toxic Fangs: Seph can use her fangs to inject aa victim with a deadly neurotoxin that targets the victim's nerves, including those that control breathing and heartbeat. Her venom dose is so massive that paralysis sets in in about 30 seconds for a normal human, with death following from heart and lung failure in about 5 minutes. For supernaturals, effects could be delayed or nonexistent, depending upon physiology. Her snake hair has a similar venom, but effects take much longer to occur and fatalities are highly unlikely.

Fluent in Serpent: Seph can talk to snakes, but not control them, though she does have a degree of influence over the ones in her hair. As a couple of asides, she apparently has a thick viper accent, and she's heard all the Harry Potter jokes, which really annoy her.

Other- Seph wears a small silver amulet that disguises her as a human. Normal humans can't see through the illusion, but supernaturals can with the tiniest bit of effort.

Name: James Harrison
Nickname: Jay
Age: 36
Race: Medium
Height: 5’11 (1.8 meters)
Weight: 165 lbs (75 kg)
Hair Color: Auburn
Eye Color: Green

Description: The most notable thing about Jay is the large cluster of scars encircling his eyes. The dark red and black streaks contrast drastically with his pale skin. He has a few freckles along the bridge of his nose, but most of the time they are practically non existent. Aside from that, there isn’t a whole lot more to describe.

Personality: Normally, Jay’s rather subdued. He isn’t depressed. He’s just lost in his own thoughts, constantly contemplating his state of being and the world around him. He finds happiness in the simpler things of life, and while he doesn’t want to spend his life alone, he appreciates the serenity that he finds in the quiet and calm moments of the morning.
Jay is one of the brighter souls in the city of darkness and monsters. That being said, he isn’t a pushover, and he can hold his own. Being a medium, his mood can also be more easily influenced by the moods and feels of the people, creatures, and even places around him.

Background:
Jay was born an only child on the outskirts of town. His parents were kind people, and never seemed angry towards him or anyone at all. His parents didn’t ever reveal to him that they had powers, but when his manifested at the age to 12, they didn’t seem surprised.
However, they did become far more worried, and when he told them of a dream he had on night, a dream of a pale man with flaming eyes and fangs, they began make arrangements to move to another city. They soon settled into their new surroundings, but the dreams still haunted him, and one night he awoke in pain, screaming at the top of his lungs. His parents told him how they had found him rolling around on the floor, chanting in some foreign language and trying to claw his own eyes out. The scars never healed, and there was something strange, almost supernatural about the wounds.
This was the tipping point. They sent him to live with his aunt Mary, assuring him that everything would be alright. He knew they were just trying to calm him down, but he listened anyway. Soon he was in living in Baylor city, and one night several months later, he awoke, knowing that every ounce of blood had been drained from his parents’ veins.
It took time for him to adapt to all the pained emotions and feelings around him, not only coming from himself, but all those individuals and places that surrounded him. Eventually his psychic intuition led him to find the Syndicate, and he joined their ranks as a agent, his powers making him an invaluable addition to their ranks. Much more happened to him throughout the years, though he never found the man that once plagued his dreams. None of that was important though. It was in the past, and what truly mattered what lay before him now.
Weapon(s): Jay hates killing, not only because it goes against his moral code, but because every pain he causes others he himself feels, albeit to a lesser degree. Still, he carries a revolver in case of extreme emergencies. Other than that, he carries a can of pepper spray, an extendable baton, and a flask or two of holy water.

Skills:
Martial arts. Jay is great at hand to hand combat, and has taken many classes on how to take somebody out while causing minimal pain or damage as he too can feel their pain.

Multilingual. Jay can speak many of the languages within the city of Baylor. This has been reinforced by his psychic abilities.

Blade use. Jay has taken classes in the use of a blade. While this was mostly as a way to improve his agility and footwork, it has also assured him that he will have the upper hand if he gets into a knife fight.

First aid. Jay has always been a sensitive individual, and because of this, he has taken many classes in first aid. This has been very handy in his line of work, and he has saved quite a few lives with his quick thinking and skill.

Power(s):
Aura reading. Jay is able to feel and see the energy fields surrounding people, places, and things. This helps him not only to perceive what others are feeling, but helps him to be a good judge of character. A downside is that this makes him more likely to feel what others are feeling.

Photographic memory. Able to recall memories vividly, as well as remember details about objects, people, and places that he has only seen once.

Precognition. The ability to see a possible future, especially involving himself and those ha deeply cares for. Often they are hazy and unclear, which sometimes leads him to make incorrect assumptions and sometimes second guess the course of action he is taking.

Intuition: The ability to know things without specific evidence or proof. For example he can tell if someone has been murdered, or if a suspect is guilty. Basically a psychic hunch. Granted, he can sometimes let his feelings (or the feelings of people and things around him) affect his judgement, so his hunches aren’t accurate 100% of the time.
