Well, I can ask around and advertise it in my sig even since I'm not doing anything else in it, but might I also suggest that maybe we put up a little flavour-text and an explanation for the RP on the first OOC post at some point? So that it grabs people's attention.

So, um, not sure about some of this, but I hope most of it is okay. ^^;

• Appearance: Whee.
• Name: Strawbella Parfait
• Age: 17
• Gender: Female
• Height: 4'11" (roughly 150cm)
• Weight: "Never ask a lady her weight."

• Personality: Elegant, refined and ladylike... Or at least that's how she tries to come across as. She's not really as good at it as she thinks, being rather ditzy and clumsy, and a little short-tempered. She tries her best though, for what it's worth. Strawbella loves to see new things, and often acts in wonder at anything she hasn't seen before, occassionally going on prolonged gushing rants about how amazing seemingly mundane things are. It could be said that she loves cute things, but her definition of "cute" is... Rather skewed. She can be a bit vain, too, and considers herself the most beautiful maiden in the world; whilst she's not exactly unattractive, she's still short and doesn't possess much of a figure, so this is mostly in her head. For reasons somewhat connected to this, she gets rather uncomfortable and agitated around melons.

• Biography: Strawbella's aristocratic tones don't exactly hide the fact that she belongs to the nobility, but what the rest of the crew doesn't know is that she's actually fully fledged royalty. Somewhere in the Grand Line, there is an archipelago known as the Gateau Kingdom, a peaceful place where man lives in harmony with cake. For a long time, the Gateau Kingdom was like a calm in the storm that was the Grand Line, a place that was safe from the attentions of pirates even during the first Golden Age of Piracy. And for the first half of her life, the crown princess Strawbella Parfait lived as the daughter of a kind and beloved queen, and was taught the many ways and secrets of cake and confectionary. It was when she was twelve years old that everything changed, however. A woman claiming to be a diplomat from another island appeared in the Gateau kingdom one day, and not long afterwards Strawbella's mother died under mysterious circumstances.
Soon, the "diplomat" had married the king and became the new queen of the Gateau Kingdom, and whilst the royal families life grew even more extravagant and decadant from then onwards, the lifes of the common people fell into ruin. The once sweet Gateau Kingdom had became bitter, and this bothered Strawbella. As much as she suspected and distrusted her new step-mother, she had no real evidence of her being up to no good until her sixteenth birthday, when she accidently recieved something addressed to the queen due to a mixup in the mail and the couriers assuming it was the young lady Parfait's birthday present. Enclosed was a strange fruit she had never seen before... And a note from Queen Parfait's pirate crew, stating that once five years had passed since she assassinated the old queen they would finally strike and turn the Gateau Kingdom into a haven for evil pirates with their forces and the power that would be granted to the queen with the enclosed Devil Fruit. Shocked and horrified, Strawbella quickly ate the Fruit-Fruit Fruit, not wanting her evil stepmother to gain the powers it would grant.
But it didn't take long for her stepmother to find out about the princess's new powers, and she easily put two and two together. Before Strawbella could announce that her mother had been murdered by the new queen, she had already made the claim that Strawbella was the one who killed her with her Devil Fruit powers that she had been hiding for years. Her lies quickly spread amongst the now oppressed masses of the kingdom, who wrongly assumed that all of their suffering was caused by Strawbella's attempt to seize the throne for herself. Unable to do anything else, the princess fled, sailing off from the island in a giant pumpkin she had summoned with her Devil Fruit powers. Somehow, she managed to make her way to East Blue, and... This is where her story picks up.

• Area of expertise: Chef. Not only is she skilled in cooking, but the powers granted to her by the Fruit-Fruit Fruit make it much easier to gather ingredients. In addition to being a good cook in general, she is also a fully licensed pâtissier. As noted, she has eaten the Fruit-Fruit Fruit, which allows her to summon any kind of fruit she wishes aside from other Devil Fruits, as well as modify their attributes and quality such as increasing their size or toughness.

Appearance: Broad face and wide neck with a chin-strap beard and a shaved head, a gold earring hanging from his right ear. Blue eyes that are often just open a slit because his toothy grin is so wide. Has beautiful, perfect teeth. His shoulders are extremely broad, outlining a heavily muscled physique with surprisingly thin-looking legs given the size of his upper body. Wears a striped white and blue button-down shirt and a pair of khaki-colored shorts. Keeps a gold chain around his neck.
Name: Hernando Santana (Prefers 'Santana')
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Height: 6'5" (apx. 194 cm)
Weight: 250 Lbs

Personality: Santana has an upbeat temperament, regularly keeping a jovial grin planted on his broad face. Though he is heavily muscled from steering the ship, he prefers to spend his time on shore slacking off and eating fatty foods. Santana prefers sweet flavors and loves fruits and desserts more than anything, though he'd never turn down a meal regardless of its content. Acting as a big brother type, Santana is very gentle with his friends and always gives troubled people a shoulder to cry on. He fights for the underdog, and will come to the defense of any child in need or beggar down on his luck. He seems to have an ulterior motive for becoming a pirate other than his own fortune, but despite being very open with his feelings he's very quiet about his past and motivations.
