Artemis bowed her head back at Cyren. She could not help but feel a tiny spark go off in her chest that she tried to shake off. It was too early since her mate was killed. Though she knew sooner or later she would have to find a male figure that Nikko could learn from. It never hurt to meet new people. "I can guess that you are a hunter or guard from how tired you look." She hoped it would cheer him up since he looked so out of it.

Nikko smiled. "Yeah I will play." He said crouching down preparing to pounce. He was always up for wrestling. He knew it would help him get big and strong like his dad was. He wanted to be just like him. "I will...stay here for now." Kalina said still staying back. She saw a small butterfly land on the grass. She pounced but missed it by a few seconds. She laughed and made sure not to wonder off.

After the hyenas left, Zaliwa seemed proud of herself. In a way, she just gave herself some training in fighting. If this kept up, she could one day be one of the toughest lionesses out there when she's all grown. "Now, to find some food." She said to herself and searched around her home. A mouse wandered in and came close to her. Zaliwa unsheathed her claws and pounced on it, killing it. She bent down and ate the mouse.

Shupavu about to get up and make his rounds for the day when one of the cubs(Kc) come up to him. I believe she also wanted to talk to me. He turned his attention to the cub.

Gumu crouched down as well. "Whoever pins the other first wins!" He said excitedly.

"..Guard."

The Male rasped out, before Cyren looked towards the fresh kill pile, nodding his head once to signify something to Artemis.

Hunter, unoffically.

It seemed as if forcing himself to speak was a bit hard, but the guard licked his lips before speaking again.

"..I can..show you around..if you haven't been shown around." Cyren still seemed out of it, as his look hadn't changed from before. He vaguely wondered if talking would be regular. If so...he better get used to it quickly. He didn't want to scare any cubs.

Artemis looked back to the cubs to see them playing. She could leave them alone for a little while. They were in a safe place after all. "I would love it if you could show me around." She said as she looked over to see his fresh kill pile that he gestured too. "You have talent in hunting so I bet you make a great guard." She said as she began to follow him still worrying about her cubs slightly.

Nikko laughed as he said the rules. "Sounds good. We go on the count of three, okay?" He smiled as he shook his hips back and forth slowly. He may finally have a friend he could play with at last. It just hoped he would win to show he was strong.

Outlands Reporters
"King, would I be allowed to be your royal reporter? Ever since I was allowed into the Pridelqnd, away from the Putlands, no pride has accepted me. I now ask you for your consideration, and allow me to join. In return, I'll be your royal reporter." Kc explained.

The Scavangers
The Lion saw the cub from a hiding place, up on top of rocks, Asikari by his side.
"So, what are you going to do to her? Are you going to Clobber her? Push her off a cliff? Ooh! Can I have the remains?" Asikari asked.
We are going to talk. He said. Asikari's eyes were wide open.
"B-but.." She started.
No more talk of the matter. He interrupted, climbing down to greet the cub.

Gumu nodded, still crouched. "3...2...1." He jumped at him, hoping to pin him.

Shupavu looked at the cub and thought she was a little young to be a reporter, but then he guessed she could learn from Zi. "Alright, you have your wish, but you may be accompanied by a bird if you're alright with that."

Zaliwa ears twitched at someone approaching and turned to face a grown lion. He didn't seem like a threat for the moment, but she still kept her guard up. I wonder if he's tough like I wanna be. She thought to herself.

Nikko laughed as he jumped up too landing on the other cubs back but not pinning him down yet. He play bit his ear trying to pull him down smiling. He hoped the other cub would not think he was being to rough and scare him off.

Cyren nodded softly, his eyes tracking where hers had moved. Internally, he smiled.

'Even now, she's worried about their safety here. She's a good mother.'

As the lion shook his hair out of his eyes, he turned, looking over his shoulder at Artemis, nodding his head towards the route she had climbed Pride Rock from, hopefully. "Follow..me..Unless you want to..check on..your cubs."

Artemis was worried about them but she knew she would have to let them be on their own once in a while. It was good for them to play with other cubs. "No, they will be fine. They know not to wonder off too far." She said as she smiled at Cyren taking a small happy sigh. She had a feeling she was going to like being in a place where they would not have to worry about being attacked or even forced to do things she never wanted to speak of again. "So what's first Cyren?" She asked tilting her head smiling.

Gumu laughed as he crawled out from under the cub. He then turned around before getting on his hind legs and pawing at him playfully.

"I don't mind at all!" Kc said, with excitment. She was going to be in a pride! And not one that will work her to death! She turned to a bird, who she assumed was the bird the king was talking about, and walked up to it.

Cyren looked at her smiling form and nodded slightly, answering her question.

"First..Besides..Dens..there is a watering hole.." He imagined she was parched after making whatever sort of Journey she had made.

Off the Guard went, down the rock, his paws making no noise as they brushed the stone. Then, stone gave way to grass as he went far enough, hoping she was following. He would hate for her to get lost..and it wasn't that far. Actually, it was rather close.

Kalina walked over watching the two cubs wrestle looking over at KC smiling. Nikko also stood up on his hind legs placing their paws together pushing against the other cubs hoping to push him down laughing.

Artemis followed close next to Cyren looking around at everything around her. "How long have you been with this pride?" She asked while they walk to try to get to know him a little better. She wanted a friend because she knew, if you don't have friends you wont have anything that will make you happy.

"Hello, and I'm not THAT little." Zaliwa said in a rather blunt voice.

Zi was on her break as the king suggested her to do and was currently perched on a tree branch when she looked down and saw a cub coming towards her. "Greetings, little one!" She flew down to her and landed on the ground.

Gumu playfully pushed harder in order to make it more challenging. He could see a potential friend and wrestling partner in this cub. He was happy.

"..All my life..I think."

There it was. His voice wavered a bit, but now revealed how it really sounded. It was warm, somewhat rich with volume...Calming. But when he said that he thought he had, his voice broke.

As he turned his head away, slightly, Artemis might have been able to see a jagged scar hidden under his fur, only revealed when he turned a certain way, positioned behind his ear. The only reminder, to the lion himself, that he had forgotten his childhood.

Nikko slipped and landed back on his four paws. He knew this cub would be a good friend for him to have. He playfully went to bite his ear to pull himself back on his back legs.

Artemis noticed the scar but was not sure if she should say anything about it. "Its okay. Before coming here, I didn't talk to anyone except my cubs. And my late mate." She said trying not to tear up at the thought. "Sorry, I didn't mean to bring it up."

"..I'm sorry." Cyren said softly, as he stopped momentarily to look at her. "If you want to..talk about it..I'm here when... I'm not hunting."

As they neared the watering hole, Cyren silently stopped at the edge. It was roughly the size of a pond, with clear, clean water. Cyren, being curious, had tried to discover where the Water came from..before he realized he might have to swim underwater. Nope, not the job for him!

Artemis was actually caught off guard when she said she could talk to him about it. She could feel herself starting to blush softly. "Thank you...That means a lot." She said walking up to the water taking a quick drink. She was happy she has met someone else that she could have a conversation with that would not think she was weak for missing her ex mate. They would all tell her to move on and get over it.

Swiftly, Cyren dipped his own head to lap up some water. As it slid down his throat, He sighed softly, relishing the water...He was parched too.

Now, Cyren's emerald eyes moved to Artemis. "...How..does it mean a lot?"

Gumu allowed the bite his ear and playfully tried reach for his. He knew they would tire out soon, but for now he just kept playing. Maybe if Nikko won, he would let him pick a new game to play.

The Elephant Graveyard
Still resting on the platform in the graveyard, Deon was getting a little bored as he hadn't done any evil deeds yet. I need find something or someone to torture before I die of boredom. He thought to himself, the last part being sarcasm. He stood up and walked off the platform to explore around. He scanned around with his eyes, hoping something of interest to him would show up.

Olivia saw her queen coming towards her. "Hello, my queen. These two herds refused to share their waterhole." She reported.

Maisha shook her head at this. She couldn't understand why some animals just couldn't get along. "Thank you, I'll take it from here. Can watch the twins for me? That's if you don't mind." She went over to the herds and asked them, "Now, what seems to be the problem?"

Olivia bowed to her queen. "I don't mind at all." She walked over to where the queen's cubs were playing. It seemed they were playing a game of tag when she got there. "Hello, little ones."

Roho quickly glanced the large bird. "Hi..." He replied unenthusiastically then went back to playing with his sister, Malaika.
