Having finished getting food and something to drink, Kisari sat down for a few moments to wash up after her meal. "Well I suppose I'll find a pride to join now." She began walking and soon found herself near the eastern border closest to the Eastern pride.@Letmehaveone2

Artemis was actually shocked when he asked that. "Umm... Well simply because no one else seemed to care or they would say that I talked about it too much." She said and paused almost as if she was lost in thought. She shook it off and kept talking. "So I don't want to bore anyone with it since everyone says those things. Your the first who said they wanted to talk to me."

Nikko laughed as he let go of his ear and he tried to push Gumu down as best he could laughing as he did so. At Nikko's other pride none of the other cubs would play with him since his mother watched over them. He is happy now that it doesn't matter.

After solving an issue with one of the herds, Maisha turned around to check on her cubs. As she neared the border, she could a lioness not too far from it. Well, what do we have here? She was actually thrilled to see someone come towards her pride. Every other lion seemed go for Santi(Shupavu's pride).

Roho stopped playing after a while and wanted to get away from the ostrich's watchful eyes. "Hey, Olivia. I would like to explore." He gave her a hopeful look.

Olivia shook her head at the cub. "Sorry, no. And don't try to trick me, it won't work." She said.

Malaika sighed as her brother had to ask that. She decided to go see what her mother is doing and saw her near the border, looking at another... lioness? She ran up to her mother and turned to face the newcomer. "Hi, I'm Malaika." She wasn't sure she spoke loud enough since she was just a cub.

Gumu could see neither one of them got even close to pinning the other one down. It seemed they were a match. Both trying their hardest to win. "You wanna keep going or play something else?" He asked as he once again went on his hind legs to push against the other cub's paws.

"Zaliwa." Said the boyish looking girl cub. She always kept things short and sweet. "Now that you know mine, I would like to know yours as well." She said.

Zi bowed to the cub as she always did to newcomers before introducing herself. "My name is Kikazi, but most call me Zi." She stood straight up when she was finished.

Kisari soon saw another lioness and her cub. She knew she was near another pride and figured this lioness was either the queen herself or was a patrol. Considering a cub was with her, Kisari guessed it was the queen. It was cute how the little one was trying to introduce herself already, but Kisari was able to hear it.

She walked over to the two of them. "Well hello Malaika. I'm Kisari." she smiled at the cub, then turned her attention to Maisha. "I'd like to join your pride if that is ok."

Well, I'm Verraaier. Now, tell me-leans close to Zaliwa-. Why are you in the Outlands? Verraaier wasn't his real name, it was Timba, but he didn't like it, so he ran away, and changed his name to Verraaier, meaning "Traitor."

Nikko smiled but noticed his sister was playing by herself looking a little sad. He sighed as he looked back at his friend. "We could play chase if we add in Kalina, my sister." He said gesturing to her sitting on a rock looking at the grass. She was bored out of her mind. "I know she is young but she is pretty fast actually." He said hoping he wouldn't mind.

Maisha smiled at the newcomer. "Of course you can. I'm Maisha by the way and over there by my adviser, Olivia is my son, Roho." She gestured towards the ostrich and her son a few feet away. "Oh and as you might have guessed, Malaika here is my sweet and loving daughter." She finished.

Roho heard his name and looked over to the newcomer his mother had introduced him to. I hope she's knows what she's doing, letting a stranger in like that. He thought to himself. He waved a paw, not bothering to come over say anything.

Olivia, on the other hand was more than delighted to have a new member here.

"Partners?" Zi looked over at the king who was still on his perch who gave her a knowing glance. She then turned back to Kc. "I see. The king seems to have put you under my wing so I guess we are."

"I have no family of my own so I chose this place for myself." Feeling more comfortable with this lion, Zaliwa looked up at him. This would let him see her face. "I have nowhere else I know of I can go." She stated, hoping she could at least stay here until she was old enough to make a pride of her own.

"A game of chase sounds good as long as tagging is involved." Gumu smiled at Nikko as he gave him, his approval. "I don't have any siblings myself though." He stated as he walked over to where Nikko's sister was. "Not that I mind."

Verraaier, who was originally going to try to get the cub out, felt sorry for her. He had an idea.
Well, maybe you could join my pride. He suggested. Asikari's eyes were wide open. She needed the cub out, not having a reason to stay. But she knew that Verraaier was not someone to be messed around with.

Cyren simply shook his head, as he sat down, looking down at the water below. It reflected the lion, as he spoke slowly.

"..You have to cope... somehow." The blonde lion whispered, his paws pressed against the earth. "You lost..your mate. Without anyone to talk to..you would..go crazy with grief..inside." He paused to lap up more water to soothe his throat. "It isn't..healthy to...not get it out."

With a small sigh, he shrugged. "...But..that is how I..see it." He looked back at Artemis then, almost as if he was asking her if he was correct or incorrect. Did she know, herself?

Others might have found Roho's current behavior to be rude, but at the moment, Kisari didn't. She sensed that he had a hard time trusting others, especially those that are new to him. "Nice to meet all of you. And thank you."

Nikko laughed as Gumu said it was okay for Kalina to join them. "She may seem shy at first but she really wants friends." Nikko said as he ran over to her. "Kalina...come play tag with us." Nikko said as she looked up smiling. "Really? You mean it?" She asked almost jumping up and down for joy. "Yes come on." Nikko said with a laugh. "How far out are we aloud to go?" Nikko turned to Gumu to ask.

Artemis listed to his reasoning and she agreed 100%. "That is exactly how I feel towards it. I even had to help my cubs get through their grief. I am just happy Kalina was too young to remember him very much. That would have been the most difficult." She said sitting down digging her nails into the dirt. She looked over at Cyren thankful she had met him. "I am here for you as well...if you ever need to talk." She said tilting her head softly.

Cyren looked at her, eyebrows furrowed. "..What are..their names? I am..curious."

As she said he could talk to her if he needed to, the lion smiled softly. The first of smiles she would have seen..He thought. He didn't know if he had smiled to where she could see, or if he smiled at all anymore. What was usually glued to his face was a look of emotionlessness, a quiet, withdrawn look.

Artemis smiled back when he asked about her cubs. "My oldest son is named Nikko, and my youngest cub is my daughter Kalina." She said looking over to see them off in the distance. "They are good kids. Nikko reminds me a lot of his father every day." She said smiling. "When ever you think of something to talk...I will listen. You don't have to but I am here." She said as she took another drink of water smiling at Cyren.

"...Thank you." Cyren said softly, as he stood up. "I'll..remember their names. Shall we go to check out the..rest of the area?"

It seemed as if his voice was recovering enough to where he didn't have to rasp, and his smile returned back to his normal look.

"...Does Nikko know..how to hunt?"

He wanted her to tell him more. Anything to keep an awkward silence from forming. As he turned back towards Pride Rock, he looked towards the next destination..the dens, he supposed.

Artemis smiled at Cyren when he was interested in her cubs. She loved talking about her cubs because they were her everything. She sacrificed everything to give them a better life. "Yes he is very good. His father used to be the lead hunter of our own pride and taught him before the accident." She said smiling. "I would love to see the rest." She said as she began to follow him closely smiling. This was the happiest she has ever been in a very long time.

Cyren nodded lightly. "..That's..good. He should know how." He knew talking about the accident might not be best, especially when she was so happy. Cyren could see it, as clear as day. As they neared the dens, Cyren looked over at her. "..Your pride..before this one. How was it?"

Artemis let out a small sigh. It was hard to think about but she did everything she could not to let it get her down. "It was a good pride at first...but then a very evil lion killed our king to take over the pride. He forced all the hunters to hunt every day all day." She said knowing how tiring hunting was. "He even made them hunt in very dangerous places. In the middle of stampedes, along deep canyons. He even wanted one group to kill a crocodile, just because he was bored." She shook her head trying to shake it away. "When my mate died we had to leave. I was not making my kids grow up in a place like that."

Cyren's ears flattened against his head slightly, his eyes narrowing. "...He wasted food and resources..from boredom?" His emerald eyes glinted before he paused and looked at her. "I'm sorry. If I would have had a way to... I would have tried to help get rid..of him." He then looked at her, a look of realization coming over his face. "Is that how your mate died?" He asked, quietly.
