We have the numbers to put a dent into the rest of their countries, but alone we are not enough, even after their Empire broke up, their still too strong and too numerous in their nations for us to defeat them alone, but if we could bring in allies, we could do more than put a dent into them. Hello and welcome to my first NRP on this website (though it isn't my first by a long shot, I've been doing this for well over two years now). It's a Space Opera regarding Major Warring Factions in the ashes of a fallen Empire. If you couldn't tell from the two introduction paragraphs, their was once an Empire that had 90% of the Milky Way under it's control, and it was ruled by the humans, with time, due to bad rulers and rebellions, this Empire collapsed in on itself, and in the ashes rose new human nations and some owned by alien species. The two major factions are made up of most of the remaining human nations going against most of the non-human nations, with some minor alliances between neutral groups. Most countries are monarchies, with the humans all claiming to be the true continuation of the great empire, but working together with their other Terrans just to stay alive. The countries ruled by Terrans are going to be stronger and less numerous, while the countries ruled by non-humans would be smaller but higher in number, and most likely more densely populated.
About neutral countries, they typically have a much more mixed population of non-humans and humans compared to other countries, whether this is because of it being a former slave territory, or because of weak immigrations laws, it is up to the person creating the nation. Neutral countries are also often not Monarchies, and they focus on trying to create a large profit. Whether this means being a Merchant Republic, a Business that happens to own a few solar systems, or a Pirate Dictatorship, this is also up to the person creating the country.
Regarding the Technology level, it is your typical Space Opera advancement. Think Star Wars, Dune, Warhammer 40k, Ender's Game Books Past the first one. You have planet busting capabilities, but chances are, you won't use these unless you are willing to have worse done against you. Regarding how you wish to create fleets of ships, it doesn't matter if you wish to use a large amount of smaller ships, a small amount of extremely large ships, or a mix of both, but please, realize that you do not have the ability to destroy the galaxy, nor even a solar system.
Talking about how the NRP will play out, it'll be character based (I don't know if that is how they are typically done here, but from the places I used to run these things it wasn't that common), meaning that the posts will be from the perspective of a character. This means that you will have the option to create a character application, but you don't have to create one. It also means that this will not be stat based.
Now then, let's get to the fun part, the actual applications.
