Alright, I'm thinking of either doing Hattori Hanzo as Assassin or Honda Tadakatsu as Lancer (probs both genderbends, because after all the shit Grand Order's dumped on us why the fuck not). Does anyone have any preference between the two?

@vancexentan Ehhhh... While his betrayal is very famous (to the point where people remember him for little else), I'm not sure I'd call him an Assassin if only because he didn't personally kill Nobunaga.

Honda Tadakatsu on the other hand is apparently a Japanese Highlander and comes pre-equipped with deer antlers and a spear honed to anime-levels of sharpness, which all sounds pretty fucking awesome (I've always wanted to play him in a Fate RP but I have a long, long waiting list in that regard).

@Grey How does "psychic ninja girl" sound to you?

@TurboshitterStill it was him who ended the Oda reign, and formed the army directly to attack Honnō-ji. And while he may not be resposnible for it directly he did claim it was his kill. I would chalk it up as fair game for him being Saber, Rider, or Assassin. But once more it is all on you. I just think Mitsuhide would be a cool character to see.

I had a Rider idea, but then I decided it'd be better to take advantage of the Japan bonus :P

Which means I might have to use Hanzo, because at least an Assassin won't be as hideously broken as Vlad, a Lancer, was in his home turf. Then again, it's all up to the GM. I'd certainly appreciate the chance to play either, although I have some interesting ideas for how to play with Honda's reputation of "the Warrior Who Surpasses Death".

@TurboshitterHonda may very well be too strong a character to play in his home turf in my opinion. Honda is already strong, and being in Japan just compounds that fact. It would depend on how you play him to not make him broken. Hanzo may be slightly more manageable as the enemy assassin has quite the nasty noble phantasm.

@Loki OdinsonI'll allow Liang with the stipulation that his stone sentinel maze needs preparation to set up. It's not that it's overpowered per say it's more that if you catch say Rider, or Saber in it then they're pretty much screwed. The second phantasm I'll allow since one of the enemy servants has a direct counter to it.

Well you may not like what I have in mind for Hanzo either lol. Would a dual summon be pushing it? Hanzo was primarily known for ninja-ing but was also a master spear-fighter. It'd mostly just be justification for a ninja who uses spears.

Definitely I do mind. You get one class use it. Hanzo in the shadows as an assassin, or as a fighter with his spears. So chose Ninja Hanzo, or Lancer Hazno or what have you. The closest we got otherwise may be enemy rider and that's only because his weapon is literally made to function as multiple weapons due to his legacy and due to it being canon within the game that he did appear in.

Maybe maybe not. I've already had to change Lancer from Zhao Yun to someone else because of Zhuge liang popping up as Caster.

Well, Hanzo could honestly go either way, but even without the Dual Summon, would they be allowed to use spears as their weapon of choice as an Assassin, or would they be forced to use other weapons? Could Hanzo as Lancer prinarily focus on direct combat but still retain their knowledge of stealth and tactics (without possessing any of the relevant Assassin class skills of course)?

He'd obviously be weaker than a standard lancer who openly wields his or her weapon. As a Lancer (who I believe would be more deserving of a different character but if Hanzo has a history with the weapon all the same) she would retain her ability of stealth and what have you but would be far below the other assassin in terms of actually staying that way as assassin carries the perks of stealth and all.

Ah ok. Lancer might be the way to go then because I plan on playing up the legends of Hanzo supposedly having ESP and psychokinetic powers (apparently it was believed he could disappear and reappear, see into the future, and make objects explode just by swearing/yelling at them, which is quite frankly the best superpower ever).
