You just have to sign into a gmail account (an email, if you don't have one you can either make one or ask someone who does have one to put the doc together.) Then open up the google docs in your browser, create a new document then click on share which should be in the top right hand corner of the screen. It'll open up a window where you can write in emails or click on shareable link. Select the link option. It'll give you what others are allowed to do just make sure you set it to people who have this link can edit this document that way anyone who clicks on the link can access it.

I PM mine to people when I use it that way they can find the link again easily if they need to come back to it multiple times.

When you look at Daniel, his looks often times contradict his personality; often mistaken as a girl due to his long and messy hair. Awfully "long" in its own right to not get him scolded by his Superiors to cut his hair. Singapore is one of the Asian countries whose strict about hairstyles when it especially comes to boys. Daniel always looks like he's about to get wild which is half true because he just can't keep still. He basically doesn't care on how he's dressed nor groomed as his fashion statement is oddly off the norm, he's basically old fashioned.

He not like meddling with affairs that does not concern him, disagreeing with "If the team goes down so does he.". He hates violence but the way he speaks is enough to indeed get him into a fight.

Synopsis:
A 2nd Dan Black Belt, Master Assistant from The Singapore Taekwondo Federation and a College student from Singapore, majoring in Languages, Culture and Communication. Yes, oddly enough Daniel looks so contradict; one would believe he'll take the mantle on sports but it's the opposite, he is a Language student and is an entirely different person during his part time jobs. Daniel's presence is always a force of contradiction based on mannerism which makes him complicated, for example if he's going to talk to you nicely, he is yelling like a man from the mountain, oddly enough he's eccentrically friendly and talkative but still the approach can go so wrong in many levels. When he is alone, he takes jogs and sprints at the Sports Complex.

Notes:

• Daniel is brutally assertive and honest. Truly inconsiderate in people's feelings and doesn't show concern because he believes that telling the truth will better them than be stuck in an illusion, he also hates people lying to him and that's contradicting considering he lies too much due to his Pride. When it's the other way around, it's the former's feelings he is feeling. What a Karma INDEED!
• Daniel is basically summed up as arrogant and competitive by most people although he can back up his claims, his stupidity such as underestimating the people around him gets the better of him.
• He is more fluent in English than Japanese considering he lives with an English Guardian.

Yeah, I more or less already explained to Tsu that you weren't trying to copy him. Seems the amusing situation of having two characters from Singapore basically just happened because there's two people on this site who know me that're both from Singapore. I told him that, but it makes sense you'd want everyone else to know. As for telling you about Tsu himself, I actually wasn't aware that I said much.

Anyway, I basically already accepted the 'Public CS' over PM, so I'll wait until I see the updated 'Private CS' before officially accepting the whole character. Don't post the 'Public CS' into the character tab before that, just because everyone needs to go through the same hoops.

I think the only minor comment I've got to make about the 'Public CS' is that I noticed you added his Anglican name into the 'Name' category now like I suggested. If I'm not mistaken, shouldn't it be listed as 'Shichimori Danieru, Daniel' instead of 'Shichimori, Danieru, Daniel'? The latter makes it sound like 'Danieru' is a middle name. I'm also thinking the hider the CS is placed into should probably be 'Shichimori Danieru, Daniel' as well. Figured I'd bring this up here, since there's no point wasting a PM on it and I'm pretty busy with data recovery.

Besides that, no issues with the 'Public CS'. I understand why the delay happened for you getting this registered, since you originally had a completely different character in mind and things with her sort of just didn't end up working. We probably could've discussed her more, but it was complicated.

Yeah Shoryu did mention about your CS to me over Discord DM. While I was a teeny weeny bit concerned with the public similarities, I assume that our private sheets are different as night and day... and it's also ultimately the GM's call.

Regarding the name, "Danieru" is a Japanese transliteration of the English name "Daniel", so personally I'd suggest that the transliteration should be kept separate for clarity and avoid confusion. For example:

Daniel Shichimori <-- This is how his name should be spelled in English
(Shichimori Danieru) <-- This is the romaji spelling of his Japanese name

As for collab, if the majority goes with Google Docs, sure, but do take note that I will not join the collab unless there's no one online at the moment when it's my turn due to a haunted problem with my browser - it will crash when there are more than 2 people on the doc at the same time.

Yeah, admittedly the similarities are a bit unusual, but no more so than the fact that Bonaparte's only invited Caucasians and Asians to the gathering. Ultimately, it's not outside of realistic possibility, so I don't have a good reason to deny it.

As for the collaboration, I don't have an issue using a different option if it runs smoother for people, but I think that having the ability to use a text chat is important for us to collaborate properly. Since the entire group isn't currently part of the Discord channel, it's probably not a reliable place for us to 'chat' in correlation to the pad. What I'm thinking is that so long as people check the pad semi-regularly, they'll always have the ability to leave a comment if/when they want to add something to the post.

I'm open to discussions for how to make these larger scale collaborations work efficiently for everyone.

No. Both "Daniel Shichimori" and "Shichimori Danieru" are his real name, but one is the actual English spelling, the other is merely a romanji transliteration of his Japanese name (which, I can't show you what exactly I mean because I do not know which exact characters he's using for the surname, but "Danieru" is written as ダニエル in katakana).

I can use the chat and even the comment functions to leave notes each time I add my parts, just don't expect me to be online at the same time as the rest of you. Partly due to the browser problem I've already mentioned, partly due to timezone (for those in regions outside of Asia/Austrialia), and partly because I am prioritizing school and RL over all online activities for this entire month.

I already understood that one was the English spelling and one of them was romanji -- I've got enough understanding of Japanese to know that, especially considering I've sorta done this with characters in the past myself (and seen anime characters with names written like this). My question was strictly about which of the names made more sense to be put into his hider, because presumably making the hider for his name 'Daniel Shichimori (Shichimori Danieru)' is a bit unnecessary?

In theory, for (spoiler) reasons you won't be involved in the escort, so this first collaboration won't apply to you; however, I don't see a problem with you not being on at the same time as the rest of the group, since the entire point of having a large group pad with a text/note feature is so people can check it regularly and leave a comment if/when they want people to stop until they have time to add a contribution they have in mind.

Edit: Perhaps his hider looking like that could work anyway, since Snaggle did something similar for Conrad.

Guess I misunderstood the question, or it wasn't clear for me. ^^; Anyway, English name for hider. The romanji can just be in the name section, since technically everyone will call him by his English name and not the transliteration, lols. That's why I wrote it that way in the quote in my previous message - the main name should be the hider's name, yeah.

The reason why I'm giving a heads up is in the case where someone needs me to be online at the same time to work out the kinks of the collab, which I'm saying it now that I cannot. This will result in longer delays from me because I won't be able to respond asap.

@Indra, you should probably use this suggestion and make your hider 'Daniel Shichimori'. As for the 'Name' category, use a method similar to what was suggested above. Whether it's above or next to the initial name, putting it in brackets makes sense, especially since Snaggle did that with Conrad.

As for the collaborations, it shouldn't be an issue at all until we reach the estate, and all it'll really mean is that the role-play will move a little slower during that time period (maybe), but considering Rein's a bit on the quiet side anyway I picture him not talking so much and more just thinking about what other people say, unless spoken to directly. This means you won't need to 'interrupt' conversations that're going on much. In regards to how you'll be going to the estate, it's between you and me so it should run smoothly enough -- I'll be a lot more efficient with collaborations once my PC work isn't as bullshit as it is currently.

I don't plan to make collaborations a constant thing, but I figure they're useful during scenes where a large number of player characters are present.

Status update:

• Seems like the group's pretty much universally in favour of using the collaboration idea, so we'll be going with it unless someone has a problem and states it. I expect people to be keeping up to date with the OOC (as stated in the rules), meaning that anyone who ends up having a problem with using the collaboration idea yet didn't state it has no one but themselves to blame.

• Those of you with any ideas for second characters (a couple of you've mentioned it, though in one of the cases we've discussed that it might be better off as a 'player NPC' instead) are free to bring up questions (either publically or privately) they might have involving them, and should work on getting them ready. I'm not completely closing applications to the public until the recovery from the computer breakdown's finished, but you guys should assume that you will get priority over other people who try to join from now on. Also, the player character applications completely close once we reach a certain plot point. The player character cap's actually twenty, but we don't need to fill that roster entirely. Just know that you guys get priority since the February 5 deadline did get hit. So long as he finishes his character sheet soon-ish, Indra's the exception to this.

• While I've gone out of my way to try and not pick cards for people until I was certain they were ideal, there might need to be minor reconfigurations depending on what we get in the endgame here. Thankfully, no one has even really hinted at what their card is IC. I've just been thinking that giving out the cards in advance like this wasn't the best idea, so I'll do a bit of analysing once I know we've got the entire group accepted.

Alright, I've genuinely given this a bit of thought (like, for the last few hours), and I've made my decision. Consider things back on schedule. I won't be putting this thing on hiatus, but certain things will end up slowing down. Basically, during the last couple of months I put so much time into this role-play that I wasn't putting enough into my PC sorting work, but now I'm planning to balance the two. The main reason for this is that morale just isn't all that high when I'm not working on this at all, and considering a lot of the notes I need recovered require me to use my memory it's actually more helpful if I have this going on in the background to keep me in the same mind state.

Things are still moving forward, but naturally I won't be able to run really long chats over Discord with people or anything like I was before, since those were probably the main thing that distracted me from working on the PC. I'll come in sometimes and comment if people're messing around, but nothing extensive unless it's to help someone with a post or with a character application. Also, you should consider the map to be more or less entirely on hiatus for now (not only because people I want to discuss it with are rarely around, but because I just don't have time while I'm working on the data recovery), but that shouldn't cause any major problems. Anyway, long story short, I've decided that I can run this role-play while I do the data recovery, but I can't let it take all my time.

Status update:

• We're scratching the previous comment about character applications to the public closing once my data recovery is over, and I'm setting the new date to February 9 (specifically, the moment it becomes Thursday for me -- it's currently 1:19 AM on Wednesday). Indra can still finish up Daniel's CS and get him accepted, but he'll only have until the thread officially closes off to the rest of you creating second characters. This'll happen at a specific plot point that I'll warn people about later.

• I'll be working on my part of the collaboration with Leonard, Rein, and Karlita now. There's no way any of them could arrive at the escort point immediately anyway.

• Conrad and Henneth are the next characters to post. This will then be followed up by Lotus and Tatiana. There's a possibility that Itzal's next post happens somewhere in the middle of all this, but I figure at least one other person needs to post before we do a second collaboration between him and Paula.

• Charlotte and Olivia have been confirmed to be likely arriving at the escort point virtually moments before it shows up. Conrad is stated to not be using the escort, and neither is Tatiana. Leonard, Rein, and Karlita's statuses regarding this aren't relevant because they're too far away to be posting at the escort soon either way. James and Daniel are the characters we don't have accounted for in terms of whether they're taking the escort or not and when they'll arrive.

• I'm waiting until Daniel is finished before moving Annabelle over to the character tab, because I want second/third/whatever player characters to be posted there only once all the first ones are done.

Conrad's the next post, with the one following his being either Henneth or Lotus -- sounds like they're both roughly arriving at the same time. Tatiana will be able to post at some point during their posts based on when they said they'd be arriving, though she could, in theory, post now so long as she only posts her departing for the estate and not reaching it. Still waiting to get a gauge of Itzal's status, but once we've got a post from Conrad that'll be organized too. James plans to drive himself to the estate, so Daniel's the only unaccounted character.

• As discussed in the Discord channel, Lucia's most recent IC post will be edited to include the time she arrived at the escort point. I want each person who subsequently arrives at the escort point to also post their time of arrival too. This will also be listed by those not taking the escort when the arrive at the estate itself.
