Taylor let out a deep groan, as he sipped from the green glass bottle. The beer tasted bitter, and he hated the taste of it. The music was playing loudly around him, and his ears hurt from all the noises there was in the house. Why was he even here? He barely knew anyone, and no one talked to him. Taylor snapped his head up from his thoughts, when someone yelled from upstairs. He rolled his eyes and walked out from the living room. He hated this. Taylor put down the still full glass bottle of beer on the nearest table as he began to search for a way out of the house. He went left, then right and ended up outside in the cool autumn air. Taylor took a sharp breath, and went to look around the driveway. He didn't remember why he even attended this party. Perhaps, a little flicker of hope in him, hoped someone would notice him. Not that he hated being alone, it just-- got lonely at times. He wanted someone, and yet, he didn't.

A faint breeze of air, hit his face as he exhaled the anxiety he's been keeping inside him. His heartbeat began to rise, loud and clear in his ears, besides the faint buzzing in his skull. Someone smashed the wooden door behind him up with a loud bang. Taylor yelped and spun around, hand to his heart to try and keep it in his chest. A very drunk Adam grinned at Taylor.

"Y- you're Taylor right?" Adam asked, grinning wickedly, with a beer bottle in his hand. His pierced lip flicked in the faint light from above. Taylor nodded, and tried not to whine at the stench of alcohol that hung around the other man. Adam let a drunk arm around Taylor's shoulders. Taylor shivered.

"I - I gotta show you something. I gotta-" Adam laughed, and dragged Taylor inside again. Every instinct in him told him to run away, and got further inside the house. Taylor's anxiety began to heat up in his core, as he was dragged in. They stopped in front of a door. Adam opened up the door and gestured down to a dark basement. Taylor wanted to scream.

"Well- what do you think," Adam hiccuped, as Taylor took a step back, only to feel a warm hand on his back. He swallowed hard.

"Well..- It's dark-" Taylor shot out, biting his lower lip. Why did I say that, why did I say that, his thoughts spoke to him, as he tried to keep his panic under control.

"Then why don't you go down and turn on- turn on the light?" Adam laughed, as Taylor looked into the darkness of the basement. Taylor swallowed again, as he forced himself to take a step forwards and not fall when Adam's hand pressed against his spine. Taylor now stood on the stairs, and when he turned back to look at Adam, all he saw was Adam's wicked grin and the darkness. Panic rose in Taylor as he knocked on the door shakily.

"Adam, hey- dude. This isn't funny!" he spoke, trying to pull in the door. No movement at all. Taylor gulped. He felt nauseous and his hands were shaking violently. "Okay.. Don't panic, don't panic--" he mumbled to himself, as he guided himself down the stairs, hand touching the cold basement wall. The wooden stairs underneath him, groaned and ached whenever he stepped on them. Taylor almost screamed when something hit his face. He wailed around, arms around his face as his heart began to beat faster and faster. He hissed after air, as he stepped away. The thing that touched his face, felt cold. Thin. He gulped after air, his eyes slowly adjusting to the darkness around him. He could faintly see a thin strap hanging from the ceiling as he pulled it. The light bulb clicked, and a yellow light shined through the huge basement.

Everything was covered in a thick layer of dust, and blankets. He let out a snort when he got dust in his nose. He looked around, searching for a way out. From what he could see, there was three tables along two of the walls, and something huge resting against one of the tables. All covered in grey wool blankets, that had a thicker layer of dust than some other things. From the looks of it, no one had been here for a while. Taylor walked closer to the tables, as he gently looked around. The music above him could barely be heard, and the voices were dull and barely audible. Taylor returned his gaze to the blankets. He knew he shouldn't snoop in here, but no one would know if he touched something. He stepped closer to the thing laying on the table. It was huge, and covered all the space on the table and further out on each end. Taylor grabbed the blanket, and peeked underneath it. The thing was circular, and wide. An entire human could fit in this! Taylor began to remove more of the blanket, and dropped it to the floor.

"What is this..-" he mumbled, taking a closer look. He felt guilt spread over his skin from this, but he needed to know more. It was an impulse. He needed to do this. Taylor began to look further onto the capsule like thing, that laid on the table. He hummed, as he began to investigate. What was this.. Interesting machinery? Taylor bit his lip, and touched it. The surface felt smooth. He hummed again. Mumbling out an 'interesting' as he began to snoop around. He noticed a flat surface on it, the size of a hand as he tilted his head in an almost dog like manner. He touched it, and it lit up as if it was touch screen. Taylor yelped, jumped from the place as he looked around fanatically. No one heard him. He looked back at the screen, that was giving off a blue hue from the screen. The thick layer of dust covered most of the screen as he went closer and wiped it off. The screen lit up again. He had never seen anything like this before.

"What.. Are you?" Taylor asked, looking around for more. This was way out of his hands, he shouldn't even be down here. He shouldn't even touch any of these things in the first place. Taylor let his hand touch the screen again. Nothing. He mumbled to himself, as he looked around for a chair to look into the machine. He quickly dragged a fold-up chair to the table as he crawled on top of it. The thing was way to huge to even be down here. Taylor stood on his toes, as he leaned up against it, and saw something could be opened. It was a heavy metal lid, poorly put together as he tried to open it. No luck so far as Taylor's curiosity got the greater of him, and moved away as he went to search from each end of the cylinder. Taylor let out a curious sigh, as he noticed he could open the lid from this end. The same end as the touch screen.

Taylor groaned when he tried to open the lid, but ended up almost sitting on the cylinder. The lid was heavy, as he finally got it open. He had to stand inside the cylinder to keep the lid open. There was nothing in there, but a few wires in the top. Taylor sighed. Nothing. Nada. No grand price for this. And as Taylor was about to step out of the cylinder again, the thing wobbled underneath him, as he tripped into it, the lid slamming down loudly, and the cylinder tilted to the floor. Everything was dark. Nothing was making a sound. Taylor groaned, before the panic hit him. His body sizzled violently, and before his panic attack could hit him properly, everything turned white.

A M E L I A L U C Y H A R R E T T

Amelia logged onto her computer, fingers flying across the keyboard as she logs onto the elite hacker forums that she had been invited to earlier in the year.
She takes a drag of the glass of vodka she keeps next to her and focuses her gaze on the log in page. Keying in the 20 digit password she enters the forum. Her mouse hovers over a page called Rebellion where she spends most of her free time browsing. There were a bunch of hackers there, talking about rising against the robots who controlled the city but were cowards and could barely do anything. They needed someone who had spent a lifetime in hacking...someone like her.
She laughed, drunkenly as she examined all of the users talking, her mouse flicking back and forth as she pulls up various pages and runs a quick weakness scan over them. Her keen eyes quickly detect one of the weaker sites. A nearly corrupt bank. She immediately launches into her hacking. Normally, the drink would make it hard for her to focus but this was such an easy job it barely did anything except add an extra blur to her gaze. A list of numbers pops up onto her screen and she checks the account. You never know when any under the table transactions for weird machinery might pop up.
She logs off without any success and walks in a drunken stupor to her bed.
The sounds of holographic ads talking made it hard to fall asleep and when she went to slam down her window her eyes caught on a small glittering white robot rushing down the alleyway. Curious, she leaned further out of the window watching as it made it's way past the drunk pedestrians and slipped into a small infamous gambling bar. Minutes later she heard the loud shouts of help and a couple of gunshots.
Her heart dropped down to her knees and she grabbed at her dresser with trembling fingers.
She hated them. She hated them so much.
Her phone rang and she stumbled over to where it was lying next to her laptop. She picked it up.
"Hello?" She said groggily and sank down onto her bed.
"Oh god, Amelia!" She heard the worried voice of her friend, Amber over the phone.
"What's up? What's going on?" Amelia traced her fingers over the stitching on her blanket and tried hard to focus on the conversation.
"Did you hear about the gambler's bar that got shot down?" Amber asked her.
She nodded and then realized that Amber couldn't see her through the phone.
"Yeah, the bar....it's across my street remember?" She was slurring her words now.
"Oh! I forgot! But yes, it's that bar. There's this girl I heard was making quite a boom in the hacker community who managed to de-program the robot for a second and-"
"WAIT WHAT?" Amelia shouted into her phone, louder than normal.
"Yeah...Seems like half of the robot force is out to kill her now." Amber remarked in a hushed whisper as if this girl was such an impure thing.
"Do you know where she is?" Amelia urged.
"How would I know?! I'm just guessing that she's near the bar somewhere. Keeping low."
"Oh. Amber, I've got to go right now, going to sleep off the alcohol. Bye!" Amelia punched the end button on the call and got up. She had a purpose.

Amelia creaked open the old door that belonged to the building next to the Gambler's Bar. It groaned in protest as she forced it open and walked inside. If she could locate this girl...her dreams would be achieved. Everything would work out just as she planned. Her phone lighted up the darkness with it's blaring light as she searched through the Hacker's Forum for any mention of this mysterious hacker figure. The walls next to her were secured with various pieces of equiptment that seemed unfamiliar to her. Upon closer inspection she realised that some of the machinery were old time processors. Weird that there was still pieces of old should-be-in-the-museum technology in such a modern city like Neotech. She walked along silently, her boot heels sliding over the pine wood floors with ease. Suddenly Amelia reeled back, hitting the floor in the process, her hands striking and making a loud sound that echoed throughout the building.
"What the-" She muttered right before a loud 'BANG' hit her eardrums. She leapt to her feet, hands fumbling for her fallen phone before continuing down the hallway, following the occasional crash and mumbles.
Amelia reappeared in a room filled with equipment, computers and outdated technology, a round piece of gaping metal in the middle. And a boy, stumbling from it, his face planting firmly in the ground and mumbles coming from his lips.
She stopped by his head and nudged him with her toe.
"Who the hell are you?"

Taylor groaned when he hit the floor. His entire body ached, as he felt nausea hit him. He held down the vomit, before he let out a yelp when something hit him. His face snapped up to see a fairly tall girl (she looked huge from this position) as he paled. He fanatically looked around, to see he was not where he was a few seconds before.

"..what the fuck..-" he mumbled, voice hoarse from fear. He looked up at the girl again, feeling his anxiety crawl over him, like a second layer of skin. He tried to sit up, only to sit on his ass. He let out a faint his when he tried to move his left ankle. It wasn't swollen but it was hurting. He looked up at the girl again.

"Who.. Who are you and where am I?" he asked, "What year is it? Is this some sick prank on me? Did Adam put something in my drink?" Taylor felt the panic slowly creep up his spine as he bit his lower lip. He was beginning to hyperventilate. Something was wrong. Very, very wrong. Taylor bit his lower lip lightly, as he looked around. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't focus, his ears rung, he could still smell the faint scent of alcohol. He could still feel the faint throb of the music in his veins. He could still taste the bitter beer on his tongue. He still hated it. He was pathetic, he knew that, but seriously, he couldn't breathe. Everything pulsated in his body, heating up violently to an almost angry red colour, even though his face turned sickly pale. He let out a shaky breath, as he tried to move a little. He wanted to go home. He wanted his brother to calm him.

"Where am I?" he asked shakily. He looked up at the female again, awaiting her reply. He took in her features, but everything was blurry, as he curled together to hug his knees.

Amelia stared down the guy with her eyes as he looked up at her with some kind of fear.
"Name's Amelia. You're in Neotech, year's like 3017 and it seems like yes, indeed, this Adam dude put something in your drink. Or you're stoned. Either way, get up off of your sorry ass." She stepped back a little but her eyes softened when she saw that he was struggling. He looked like he was sick and scared. She knelt down and slung an arm around his shoulder, lifting him up.
"Come on...I think you need some help. You can rest at my place."
Amelia's mind ran through all of the different possible outcomes of this and she sighed. What was she doing, helping this boy? But after all, he had come with a loud BANG and a weird circular machine that needed to be investigated. Plus, he was wearing this weird ensemble. Definitely something to be curious about. Her fingers scraped past his hair as she readjusted her grip and started walking, dragging him along with her.

Taylor yelped as he was being lifted up and dragged away. He tried to let go.
"Woah, woah, wait.. - Wait. It's not 3017..- We passed year 2000 four years ago--" he exclaimed, looking back at the cylinder, or whatever this piece of scrap metal was. His ankle hurt, as he stared at this.. Amelia.
"Maybe you're the one who's stoned." he exclaimed sharply. "We're in 2004, this isn't 3017--" Taylor looked around, and took a study on the girl in front of him. She was wearing a weird attire, different. A faint point in him, liked her attire. Leather jacket. He always wanted a leather jacket.
"This is 2004, I live in London, I study technology, I- I-" he began. He was hyperventilating again. Quicker this time. The panic was still hanging around him as a second layer of skin. He began his mantra. Five planets, four sharp objects, three types of trees, two animals, one moon. At the end, his heart rate was slow and steady, but his mind went on overdrive. He had no idea where he was, and he had a thought that this Amelia might be right. This wasn't 2004, he knew that. This was apparently 3017, and he wasn't in London anymore. He was in what, Neotech? What kind of name was that anyways, he wondered, as he took another sharp breath and apologized.
"I'm sorry..- I- I'm a mess-"

Amelia listened to his weird accusations and sighed, dragging him across the alleyway as fast she could. She reached the door of her apartment and moved inside before she responded.
"Technology? London? 2004? What are you?" She plopped him down on the couch and gave him a quick scan over. His physical appearance was fine. Nice face, nice hair, weird oldish style. Still cute. She checked his eyes, and sniffed his breath, her drunkenness fading away as she focused on the task at hand. He was fine. A small scent of liquor but not a lot. She pressed a hand over his pulse and observed the rate. Nothing out of the ordinary. He wasn't stoned. Weird. She walked to her bed which was pushed against one corner of the apartment and picked up her laptop, moving over to him with it. Pulling up several pictures of Neotech and tilting the laptop screen so he could see. Sneakily she pulled up another tab and quickly searched up 'London 2004' Her emerald, green eyes taking in as much information as possible. She was a bit drowsy now and yawned, stretching her hands up. She took off her leather jacket which she had donned before getting out of her apartment and wearing her athletic shorts and a loose T-shirt, she snuggled down next to the guy on the couch, pulling out several blankets and pillows she kept on the floor nearby and tossing one of each to him. She covered herself in the blanket and felt strangely comforted by her glowing laptop screen and the presence of a human being next to her.

Taylor had no choice, but to follow her, since his ankle hurt to much. He yelped again when he was thrown onto a couch, with a plop. He swallowed heavily.
"Uh- uh human?" he replied silently, before feeling shy all of sudden. "W-what are you doing?" he asked, when Amelia placed two fingers on his wrist. Testing the pulse. Barely seconds later, she walked to her bed, grabbed a laptop and gave it to him. Taylor was.. Stunned to be fair. Not only was Amelia strangely friendly to him, but he was also confused. This wasn't London.. None of this was London. He swallowed heavily, scrolling down the different pictures of this new city. He bit his lower lip as he carefully began to search for a map over Neotech. The city was larger than London, perhaps the size of Tokyo..- Oh well, the remaining part of that Tokyo he knew.
Taylor was to focused to make a memorial overview that he didn't see the pillow that was thrown into his shoulder. He yelped sharply as he stared at Amelia, who .. Was about to take off her jacket. Taylor quickly looked away, a faint blush on his cheeks, as he distracted himself with the laptop. He distinctively watched her from the corner of his eyes, as he began to point at the different placed that was marked on the map. What's that, and what is this. Questions he hoped Amelia would reply the best she could, to, because to be fair, Taylor was very confused, and probably a little scared.

Amelia replied to the onslaught of his questions as best as she could. She could see that he was probably scared and confused and everything in between. What was he? Could he have some kind of mental illness? But he seemed perfectly fine. She took back the laptop, slowly before logging back onto the Hacker forums. There were a bunch of new threads in the Rebellion page about the girl who managed to de program the robot and Amelia perused them.
"You should rest. We can go and investigate your weird time travelling purposes tomorrow morning." She told him. Her fingers remained on the keyboard as the blue glow from the laptop lit up her features.
What am I doing? Helping some weird kid? This isn't right. He's just going to stand in my way of everything. Being nice SUCKS. Amelia worked up another thread, one about robot machinery and waited as the responses rolled in. She was ignoring the guy next to her now, having a bigger purpose to focus on. She shut her eyes for a moment before opening them again. A response from a weird user caught her eye and she relished the information given.

[Asking about the robot machinery? I'm pretty sure it isn't made out of the modern stuff Neotech offers. Or else that girl would've been able to un program it in an instant. She took a long time and only got half the job done which means, ultimately that it has a different programming language or something. Weird pieces of machinery and a language nobody knows. What do you think?
- User: NpQd7609

Amelia wrote back immediately.

So what you're saying is that the language is different to whatever we are used to here? What language could they be using? Something that was made up...or possibly something that has been here a long time already but no one knew?
- User: Mel#28

Amelia glanced over to the guy sitting next to her and her mind sparked. He was a technology major...from 2004. A language so old nobody knew about anymore. A language she could crack.

Taylor let out a sigh, before he eventually just let the laptop being taken away from him. His curiosity and stubbornness wanted him to snap the laptop back and research some more. He kept the impulse back, and went to look at the laptop, and stayed quiet when she spoke to him. He saw Amelia's fingers tap rapidly tapping over the keyboard, and he felt he had to pull his hands up in the air of awe. She typed quicker than him, and Taylor was pretty fast himself. A silence fell over them both, slightly awkward, but silence nonetheless.

"Why are you helping me..?" Taylor asked, looking at her with a vulnerable gaze. There were absolute no reason for Amelia to help him; hell, they didn't even know each other! Taylor stated that as well.
"We don't even know each other, but our names..-" he mumbled, and looked at the screen again to avoid eye contact. He was becoming restless. It felt to wrong, to be good. Who, in their sane minds, would take in a time travelling mess of a college student? Not only, help them out of where they landed, but also covering them with a roof and warmth? He looked at Amelia out of the corner of his eyes. Apparently she would.

Amelia glanced over at Taylor who should've been resting but wasn't.
"Well, you were scared and confused, you were spit out of a weird machine. Does that not grant enough permission to help you?I actually don't know your name...And of course, you are to be of use to me." Amelia stated carefully before returning to refreshing her page. She caught his glance and turned to look at him straight on.
"If you would stop staring at me I can tell you my plan." She pulled up some pictures of the robots and zoomed in on their shiny surfaces. Nothing. Not a label code, or some kind of tell tale sign of old technology. She checked back to the page. Nothing there, still.
"You hungry by the way?" She asked.

Taylor quickly looked away, when he got busted in looking at the direction of Amelia. He felt his cheeks burn in embarrassment, and his heart step up in speed. His body felt hot, burning and sizzling underneath his skin. He wanted to hide away from this. Smart move Taylor, a voice inside of him spoke.
"Sorry-" he apologized, looking down at the laptop to hide from his thoughts, and slightly blushing cheeks. Amelia spoke again, and he shook his head before he replied.
"Not really - before I, uh..- Well.. Before I found the scrap metal of a time machine, I ate an entire lasagna an hour before I went to Johnathan's party..- the place where I found the machine." he rambled, as he kept looking at the screen. He didn't dare to speak again, or stare at her again. It took a minute of silence before he broke his own promise.
"My name is Taylor, by the way. Taylor Adam Price." he introduced, looking away and into the room, to take in the details of this small apartment-like room Amelia had placed them both in.

Amelia looked at Taylor. At his blushing cheeks and nervous attitude and felt...no. She shook her thoughts away and focused on the task at hand.
"You're from 2004 right? Computer major? So you must know all the programming language back then. I need to use your knowledge to take down the robots that are controlling Neotech. I need you." Amelia passed back the laptop to him and let him look at a Nikopedia page about Neotech and it's robots, hoping that the small explanation would be enough. She yawned once again.
"You can do whatever, you know...cruise around the net or whatnot. I'm tired so, I'm probably going to get some rest." She told Taylor and snuggled down on her side of the couch. For some reason she didn't want to leave him by himself because:
1. Maybe he would poke around the apartment and that was not good.
2. Maybe she just needed the feel of an actual human being next to her for once.
Plus he was undeniably cute, so there was that fact too.
She looked at Taylor once more, taking in his appearance and the worried look in his eyes before closing her own and drifting off into a dreamless sleep.

Taylor nodded to her reply, as he took the laptop. He didn't speak much, as he got distracted by the laptop. His fingers tapped over the flat keyboard, almost silently, he overheard Amelia move around and eventually drift off to her sleep. Taylor took a proper look at her. She was beautiful in her own way, and he couldn't help but feel the need to do something. Protect her almost-- Taylor looked away, before his thoughts became rather unpleasant for his junk.
Taylor retreated to the laptop's screen as he began to look around the different programs that laid on the laptop's desktop. He clicked some open, but had to close them again - not understanding a single thing from what even stood there. It was like telling him to read up from a Russian dictionary, when he was fluent in British English. Taylor eventually shut the computer down, placed it on the floor as he yawned.
Taylor stood up, before he took off his hoodie and plaid shirt, and laid them on the floor as a pillow. His long arms stretched over his head, as he kicked off his shoes, and crawled onto the floor - leaving the couch for Amelia. He grabbed the thin blanket and forced himself to fall asleep after an hour of trying.

Amelia woke up, her vision blurry. She rolled over and grumbled before spotting a very shirtless Taylor huddled underneath a thin blanket on the floor.
"What the-" She mumbled before sighing, a gentle smile that rarely crossed her features spreading across her lips. She took her own pillow and knelt down by Taylor, replacing his hoodie and plaid shirt with it. As she lifted his head she felt her heart constrict a tiny bit but she brushed it away, probably a feeling generated by touching the male species. She stumbled to the shower, letting the cold water rush over her. Amelia put on a caramel coloured sweater and some long ripped jeans, seeing as the weather outside was quite chilly and reappeared in the kitchen where she poured some cereal into a bowl and ate it dry. When she finished she poured some more cereal into yet another bowl and set it down on the side table next to the sofa for Taylor. She was pretty sure that there was cereal in 2004 too. Food was truly ageless. She went to her room to get her phone and swiped at it. Several miss calls lighted up the glass surface and she felt herself frown. She tapped at the first name that appeared and brought the phone up to her ear.
"Hey?" The voice on the other end sounded confused, drowsy probably.
"Hi, Vorrie...Why did you call?"
"Oh. Oh!"
"What?" Amelia was startled by her friend's response.
"You know that hacker? The one who-"
"Yeah, The one who de programmed the robot." Amelia cut in, quickly.
"She's dead."
"What?" Amelia started pacing. Winodw, bed, door, window, bed, door....
"The robots probably killed her. Things are going to get hard for the Hacker Rebels, Mel#28. You better be careful" Vorrie's voice was a warning. She was on the hacker forums as well, that was how they met actually and she usually resorted to calling Amelia with her screen name: Mel#28.
"I know...I know...Just....you too, Vanon1. " Amelia whispered back, glancing in the direction of the doorway.
"Of course. Bye."
"Bye." Amelia ended the call with a definite tap and headed back into the living room to check on Taylor.

Taylor was laying on his back, arms resting on his stomach, far into his sleep. His lips were parted just a little, as his breathing was heavy. His long eyelashes rested against his cheeks, as they sometimes fluttered in his sleep. He didn't notice when Amelia changed his shirts to her own pillow. He just groaned deeply, and tried to bat her away with his hand as he turned to the side. He slept for another half an hour, until his back and rips hurt from the floor.
Taylor woke up to a faint 'bye' and sat up with a soft groan. He let a broad hand, slide through his blonde hair, making it more messy than it was in the first place. He looked at the couch, only to see it was empty. He yawned again, looking around for Amelia. Taylor stood up, stretched his arms and cracked his spine once, and rolled his shoulders.
"...Amelia?" he called carefully, not seeing her at all. He quickly bend over to get on his shirt and plaid. His eyes didn't notice the bowl of cereal standing on the side table, but his stomach did. It roared to him, as he rolled his eyes. He could eat like a horse, and not gain a pound of it. Perhaps he might even loose a little weight every time he ate something. He let out a soft sigh, and pulled on the plaid.

Amelia walked back to see Taylor pulling on his shirt and observed his...physical structure. Not a lot of muscle but still...a living, breathing boy in her living room! She startled awake out of her thoughts by his voice and she responded, almost shyly (which was quite uncommon for her)
"I'm right here, Taylor." She walked over to him and sank back down on the couch. Her phone was still grasped tightly in her hands and she discreetly wrote a text to Amber who had been one of her miss calls.

Hey, Amber. Sorry I couldn't pick up. What's up?
- Amelia

Her phone buzzed an instant later with a response and she checked it with lowered eyes.

Oh, Just wanted to know if u were okay...the alcohol last night remember? u hungover?
- Amber

i'm fine, not that hungover. thx for the concern. i g2g now so :)
- Amelia

She placed her phone back down and took a good look at Tyler.
"Tell me about yourself." She said, smiling.
Ugh, what is it with you today? Just one boy, Mel. ONE BOY.

Taylor looked straight at Amelia, and placed a goofy smile on his lips.
"Thought for a second, you left me for dead - which, by the way, is not a wish I would like to do at the age of 25." he rambled, stomach growling again. He found his hoodie, but threw it around his hips instead. He tied it lightly, before he carefully joined Amelia on the couch. He pointed at the cereal on the side table, and looked at her with a curious gaze.
"I'll tell you a bit about myself, if you tell me this is for me, because I am hungry like a starved dog." he rambled, eyes flickering down to her lips for just a minimum of a second before they retreated into her dark green eyes. Stop, don't do anything stupid, his mind told him quickly as Taylor's stomach growled again. He looked away with a slight embarrassing look on his face.

She literally melted the second that smile hit her eyes. His tummy rumbled and she let out a tiny snort/giggle.
Way to be embarrassing. Impressing him with your piggish antics.
"Yeah, it's for you...hope you know what cereal is." She joked. When his eyes flickered down to her lips she could feel a blush rising up her cheeks. She handed him the cereal, got up to get him a glass of water and sat back down again. Her arm was touching his shoulder and she felt his heat burn through her like an accusatory glare. She was supposed to be doing her work, not crushing like a middle schooler. But she couldn't help that her gaze flitted to his own inviting lips or that she held his eye contact longer than usual. She shifted a bit closer.

Taylor eagerly grabbed the bowl of cereal, and took a dry bite when Amelia went to get some water. He sprawled his legs out in front of himself, and took another dry bite. His stomach appreciated it, but he could use some milk in this. He didn't complain though, because - hey, he got free food. Amelia sat down again next to him, as he noticed how close she sat. It made his heart flutter momentarily. Taylor took another dry bite of the cereal, feeling the heat from the woman next to him, slowly slide over him. Taylor swallowed heavily.
"Well. My name is Taylor, I'm studying..-" he paused for a second, "Or well, used to study technology at the University of London. I uh.. I'm allergic to cats, I'm diagnosed with chronic restlessness, and as my brother used to say; 'I speak before I think' syndrome. Perhaps he might be right, which also says; I have an older brother, and shitty parents. I moved out when I was 16, uh..- I'm a huge Star Wars nerd..-" he paused his rambling.
"...you don't know what Star Wars is, do you?" he asked, looking at Amelia with a sad face, resembling a kicked puppy in a way.

"Hmm...Well I'm allergic to dogs so there's that. I never studied actually, dropped out of college. They never taught a single useful thing. And yes, I don't know what Star Wars is...is it that big of a deal?" Amelia looked at him. Curious. What was this Star Wars thing? A robot match? Robot entertainment television? Robotic romance stories? That face...She really just wanted to squish it up and keep it in her mind forever.
What a thought
She shook her head and gave him a smile that lighted up her features and waited for his answer.
