"I was there, when Mandalore struck down Revan. I was there when he lifted him above his head and broke the greatest warrior in the galaxy over his knee. I was there, the day the Republic fell..."
The story follows the events of an alternate universe in which the Mandalorians are victorious at the battle of Malachor V, as well as a few other pivotal points of Republic victory and continue on to sack Coruscant and the seat of the Old Republic. With Revan, Malak and many other prominent Jedi slain in the battle, the remaining higher-ups within the order mount a valiant defense alogside Republic soldiers and mercenaries alike, but it was not enough. A small handful of Jedi Masters were selected to gather initiates and knights in order to retreat and form enclaves; places where the individual masters would form miniature Jedi councils and begin training a new generation of Jedi in secret.
The year, is 6 ABC. (After Battle of Coruscant) The galaxy is in ruins and almost under complete totalitarian rule of the newly established Mandalorian Empire. With every world having been left so crippled by the conflicts during the Mandalorian Wars, many species and worlds have been condemned to lives of labour under Mandalore the Ultimate. But there are some who resist, pockets of freedom fighters stand on every Mandalorian ruled world, actively waging guerilla wars on their would-be overlords, and in some places, entire planets have begun to rise up.
Enclave Outpost Valkaina:
The Valkaina system is an incredibly small cluster of 'death worlds' on the fringes of the Outer Rim and the Unknown Regions. As a direct result of this, the Jedi Enclave has managed to remain in hiding without fail since the fall of Coruscant. The largest of the planets, from which the system has taken it's name from is comparable to Onderon in terms of size, though the entirety of it's surface is a barren ice wasteland. However, deep beneath the surface, lies an ancient Sith temple. It is here, that after much debate and reworking, that Luthor decided to establish the outpost. The only sign of life on the entirety of the planet is a series of satellite arrays which allow the Jedi communication with the other enclaves.
Kaonia is the second largest planet within the system and closest to it's sun, being a tropical jungle world it was initially the first vote for almost every member of Master Antilles' council, including himself. However, upon closer examination of the many life forms that inhabited the planet, this decision was quickly rescinded. This is in large part due to every creature on the planet being highly predatory and incredibly dangerous. With low visibility and nowhere to establish a communications array, the idea became less and less agreeable the more that was discovered about the world. It was soon decided, that it would be used as a training world instead.
The rest of the system merely consists of standard zero-atmospheric moons, with three for Valkaina, and one orbiting Kaonia.
The Stalwart Fury:
The Stalwart Fury is a Thranta-class corvette with a pure white exterior. It's construction was completed shortly prior to the battle of Coruscant and was instrumental in the evacuation of the Jedi Temple. As a Republic Navy vessel, the Fury was crewed by approximately two hundred marines and sports an array of turbolasers and ion cannons; with a complement of twelve Liberator-class starfighters and four Fortitude-class assault transports. However, in place of the bombers which usually provide support to starfighters, the Fury's hangar is home to the Iron Duke, Master Antilles' personal Dynamic-class freighter.
The resistance base on Valkaina was discovered by accident by the fleeing crew of the Stalwart Fury not long after the sacking of Coruscant. As they exited their hypserspace jump, systems showed their location to be in the unknown regions; using the landing crafts and the Iron Duke to scout the local systems, the established council decided that the Valkaina system would be the first to be thoroughly searched. Upon arrival, with the options presented, Kaonia was unanimously agreed upon to be the site to begin construction of the Jedi enclave.
However, as a large majority of the surviving Republic soldiers and Jedi knights made planetfall they soon realised their mistake. They were attempting to colonise a world home to nought but highly predatory species'.
For days the soldiers and warrior monks fought their way through Acklay, giant spiders and all manner of horrible beasts. Eventually Luthor gave the order to evacuate the planet, the losses already sustained far too many for the planet to be viable. The Stalwart Fury was plotting it's course to move to another system when the Jedi master's apprentice, Maria came to him on the bridge and told of a vision she'd had of icy caves and raging snowstorms.
Because of this premonition, Luthor looked to the world of Valkaina itself, it sub-zero temperatures and arctic winds calling to him through the force. This ice world was the one from his padawan's dream. He was sure of it.
To prevent further terrible losses to the band of survivors, it was proposed that only the most elite warriors aboard the vessel would make planetfall aboard the Duke and search beneath the surface for a suitable location for a hideout. With a sound of unanimous agreeance, a team of eight was assembled, including Captain Armand Del Rio of the Republic navy.
It took only a few moments of the Jedi being upon the surface to feel the pull of the darkness towards a frozen over waterfall. Using the ship's blasters they shattered the massive ice wall and a cascade of water began to fall again. Further investigation revealed to the Jedi an ancient underground Sith pyramid buried a thousand feet below surface level, complete with a hidden hangar on the cliff face behind the external waterfall. After cautiously searching the abandoned pyramid, the search team cleared the Stalwart for landing.
The scale of the base was huge, with more than enough liveable space for the remaining hundred Republic soldiers and sixty or so Jedi. More than enough salvageable tech to trade for supplies and train future generations and this was all without mentioning the massive archive of both Jedi and Sith history. A hundred meter hall of nothing but holocrons and databanks in rows and rows and rows, a deep purple light filling the room.
As unlikely as it seemed, a fully stocked armoury with blasters, vibroblades, armour and even lightdaber parts was discovered deep on one of the bottom floors, besides numerous simulation rooms and living quarters, though conditions were far from glamorous, the Valkaina Enclave had been established, and would go on strong for many years.
Features:
-Three simulation rooms and an armoury on the lowest floor.
- Barracks/living quarters and repurposed storage rooms, which are now used as classrooms for the instructors to teach within on the second.
- Hangar and a maintenance bay on the third floor.
- Library on the fourth. (Has been since reorganised to allow the Sith holocrons and such to be locked away, accessable only with the permission of Maz or Luthor.)
- Council chambers reside at the pyramid's peak.
Five years later, and the enclave's garrison of non-force sensitives numbers three hundred and sixty four strong, protecting and being protected by over a hundred Jedi, whilst still being able to maintain comfortable living conditions for everyone. Away from Mandalorian oppression.
With the seeds of rebellion planted, and the agents of the Jedi Order tuned in to Mandalorian frequencies...now is the time to strike. What role will you play?

I'm not overly fond of rules beyond your standard site rules and the obvious "no meta-gaming" etc etc. Put simply, if you think what you're gonna do is gonna piss someone off, don't do it. Or at least, seek their counsel on the matter, perhaps make a collab post, message myself and I'm sure as mature people we will all be able to resolve the issue. I'm a pretty lax guy so we'll always be able to work something out.
Most of all, just have fun! It's why we're all here, isn't it?

Lastly, apologies for (in my opinion) the incredibly poor quality of this OP. I never have, and probably never will be good at creating OOC threads. Any questions don't hesitate to ask in-thread or ask me by PM.
May the force be with you.
