Appearance: Growing up in Alola with his parents and ancestry being native to the islands, Ioane has been given the sun-kissed skin. He is tall, dark, and handsome. He has a head full of messy chocolate hair with a pair of piercing copper-colored eyes. He has a very chiseled face with a protruding chin. His physique is lengthy, lean, and full of muscle having spent most of his childhood swimming and running around the beaches and oceans of the tropical islands.
Often told he has an overall attractiveness but a grim and unsmiling face, he tries his best to be more open and appealing to others.
Personality: Io is a very quiet and reserved person who doesn't have very much to say unless asked. He is keen and intelligent, coming from a very big family on research. His specific area of study is that of the regional variations found throughout the world. The young researcher can often be seen as somber and distant as he is always lost in his own train of thought and day dreaming about the world around him.
Io has been told he has a very cold aura around him even though he is from the Alola Region. He tries his best to showcase a friendly and personable attitude but often comes off as extremely awkward creepy.
Hometown/Region: Hau'oli City, Alola
History: Ioane was born and raised in Alola. His parents raised him in Hau'oli City alongside his four siblings, with Ioane being directly in the middle. Both his mother and father are researchers in various subjects as are his siblings. His mother studies Oceanography where his father studies the Pokemon deep within it. Io's older brother and sister study prehistoric or fossil Pokemon and Fairy types respectively. His two younger siblings, two sisters, are budding researchers in the areas of the stars and space. With his family being so focused on Pokemon research, Io spent a lot of his time with Samson Oak as his area of expertise was on regional variations. That is where the boy inherited his peaking interest in the differences Pokemon cousins had from one another from different regions.
Io studied with Samson until he was ten, then was given the opportunity of a lifetime to research a different region with another professor in the Orange Island who was also studying regional variations. The professor in question was none other than the well respected and admired, Professor Philena Ivy. During his time in the Orange Island he was able to research and collect and immense amount of information and data on the differences between the Pokemon in the Orange Islands and their cousins in the similarly, tropical Alola Region.
It has been eight years since the last time he was back home in the Alola Region and Io is happy to be back to show his family what he has learned.

"Hmm~ hold on dear, you've got crumbs on your mouth. Lemme get that~"
(she then proceeds to lick said crumbs off your face)
Lucille 'Lucy' Geroux
(color=#A9A9A9) Gender: Female Age: 18
Appearance: Standing at five foot seven, Lucille is fairly tall. With pale blue eyes, a thin frame and exquisitely pale skin that one could only find outside of Alola. She has stark white colored hair, though whether its dyed or somehow natural she never gives a straight answer too. Typically, she wears either a bored, somewhat passive expression or a playful smirk if her gears are turning. Most often, she dresses in white and blacks, sporting knee length boots and a black skirt and white, long sleeved top. Sometimes wears a black bow in her hair.
Personality: To say Lucille Geroux is a bit of an eccentric is an understatement. First impressions, she'll likely come off as a somewhat mature girl since she speaks with at least some formality and decorum and for the most part seems to carry an air of sophistication and maturity to her, anyone who spends any length of time around her will quickly find she is, in fact, not.
While she's not unfriendly, she's definitely not overly so either. In fact, if one had to sum of the eighteen year old's personality, it could easily be described as thus: A teasing, somewhat promiscuous, demanding, pleasure seeker who does things solely for her own pleasure or interest. She'll not hesitate to make fun of someone for small giggles at the expense of their own emotional health or tease someone simply for the sake of teasing them.
It should be noted, she's also not going to go out of her way to help a random trainer either. She probably won't even help someone she knows, unless she can get her 'fun' out of it. Calm and collected as well, its rare to see her flustered in some manner. (some might just call this being completely shameless). And if someone truly ever gets upset at her shenanigans, if they seriously tell her to stop she likely will. Of course, they should make sure to be 100% serious about it otherwise she'll simply believe them to be playing along.
That said, she loves her pokemon. Her 'darling little babies' and they seem to be just about the only ones she consistently will help without a second thought. If someone does anything to them, they gonna have a bad time. Really, to sum up her personality saying she 'does it for the lulz' or 'Screw you, I do what I want' is not a bad description.
Hometown/Region: Laverre City, Kalos
History: Not much to say here, aside from she's your average Kalosian girl. Her parents weren't anything special, if somewhat more well off than most. She grew up in Laverre city, with her parents which ran a clothing store in the city. Lucille became interested in pokemon from quite a young age. Most of the time, she spent her life growing up playing around in the swamps of route fourteen, often getting more than a little dirty from the swamps themselves, much to the chagrin of her parents.
Just as she turned Eighteen, Lucille decided to travel. It was easy enough, her parents were wealthy enough to allow for a bit of freedom in that department. She decided to see the tropical region of Alola, famed for its beauty and the rare pokemon that lived there. Of course, she would need a place to live for the duration of her stay, and what better place to than Akala and the Tide Song Hotel? Not the fanciest of places to be sure, but it certainly was a lovely place.
She's been in Alola for a few months now, though certainly not long enough to see all of the islands and places, though she did manage to pick up a rather adorable pokemon partner.

Appearance: A petite Trainer at 59 inches, a delicate one at 76 pounds; with those factors combined with a perceptible sense of girlishness, she irrefutably looks her age. Her other, more prominent features are attributable to genealogy. Portia has the red hair of her father and the grey eyes of her mother, yet, oddly, only seemingly attained the pale complexion of the former.
In the world of travelling Pokémon Trainers, it is much preferred that outfits be as recyclable as possible, an article like a jacket that can be thrown on repeatedly, a dark pair of shorts that don't stain as well. Portia's attire applies to this sense of practicality; it is, at every moment, the same, and regardless of any minuscule nuances or added touches, it appears utterly identical, one day to the next: an outfit dominated by dark-grey, subsequently lightened with vibrant highlights of orange, yellow, and green supplied through accessories and seemingly-extraneous details, such as the button on her chest. It is an outfit born of meticulous crafting and a mind much more attuned to fashion sense and color scheme than she. Truthfully, in spite of the comfortable shoes and thigh-shielding tights perfect for combing tall grass, Portia's ensemble can leave a very dainty and doll-like impression, one additionally ascribable to the sense that she wears pretty clothing chosen for her out of obligation.
Personality / Main Ambition(s): As laconic as she is, Portia retains a sense of ardor imperishable. She has a determined, self-righteous belief in herself and, being a teenager driven to loathe subordination, cooperation is not a privilege she will easily provide. Portia is emotionally-driven and easy to emotionally overwhelm. She is intrepid as well as observant and shrewd. Most predominantly, she is lost. The past year of her life has been bewildering, a consuming nightmare that has eternally branded her, and now, Portia is on a mission to not only pursue her previous passion but to rediscover the spirit that makes up who she really is, for all that fervor and temper only emerges today in fizzling flashes, temperamental sparks of personality. Otherwise, Portia is drone-like, detached from the world around her and gazing outwards with glazed-over eyes, both inquisitive and dispassionate. Instinct urges her to take interest in everything, but what does it really matter if she cannot remember what she sees?
History: Portia's predestination as a Pokémon Trainer was essentially set upon her conception. Assistant Professor Ana Basil had lived in Alola all her life and attempted the island trials herself before becoming a participant in the scientific efforts to study how the distribution of foreign Yungoos had impacted the populations of Melemele Island. Fiacre O'Mahony, an acclaimed fashion designer and avid breeder from Lumiose of mixed Kalis and Unovian origin, met her whilst on vacation in Hau'oli City. It was inevitable their daughter would be deeply involved with Pokémon. In fact, the girl displayed considerable promise in, and observable obsession of, the art of Training, beginning from the moment she tried to catch a Tranquil with a pretend Poké-Ball at six years old.
Portia's parents moved to Lacunosa where she was born, a town isolated from much of the region, framed by tangled woodland and lying just northwest of the mighty Giant Chasm. It was non-ideal for a beginning Trainer and yet Portia studied on. She consumed textbooks in a handful of days. Her room was smothered with written notes and memorandums. She attended a Pokémon-exclusive education right in her hometown at a public Trainer's School, and from there, learning everything she possibly could became even more of an exhaustive effort. Portia was unnaturally convicted—the passion exhibited by her parents only contributed to her pedantic personality—and, therefore, she was perceived to be unnaturally gifted. The greatest moment in Portia's young life succeeded her greatest achievement: she graduated three months early. At 11, her parents knew she was ready to enter the real world, and enrolled her in the Straiton City Trainer's Academy. It was a school toted as the greatest in the region, offering genuine experiences in the field and opportunities to learn from members of the League and Elite Four, providing parents had the resources.
From that point onward, Portia's experiences fail to matter until the night she returned to Lacunosa to bid her parents farewell before her journey. She got her license at some point after her participation at the academy ended. She got a Pokémon partner of her own too, eventually—Tapu forbid she remember what it was. Their partnership was promising, she can recall, but ephemeral.
It felt very cold that night, unnaturally cold. The townspeople huddled in their homes, once out of tradition, now out of fear. A battleship cut through the sky. Were they at war?
The ice came down in massive spates and Lacunosa was frozen over by the Neo Plasma brigade. Portia woke up hospitalized in the succeeding hours of the early morning and soon found she could remember barely anything at all. Since then, she felt her flame succumb to the chill. Though, on a more positive note, she is recovering relatively well. Her memories are slowly, but undeniably, returning to her and over a year of recuperation in the less-stressful Flocessy Town beside her father has worked substantial wonders on her. However, even in the midst of their success, the doctors, counselors, and various neurological experts paid bountifully by Fiacre—as well as the desperate father himself—could not remain ignorant towards Portia's unhappiness. Mourning over her mother and her condition could not monopolize her life—this was for certain—and she eventually made a rousing plea to her overseers to let her Train again, and yet this yearning was waved off by almost the entirety of them. They "knew" what was best for her: healing here through their means. Portia was incensed and Fiacre, finally, noticed. Most importantly, he understood. If his daughter was to be a Trainer, then so be it, and she surely wouldn't be one here.
Mr. O'Mahony, through conviction and, patently, cash, convinced Alolan professors to prepare for his daughter's arrival and, unsuspectingly to her, watch over her. While doctors were hesitant about sending their patient overseas, their client was not, and Portia was thus set free. No longer a caged bird, but also with only one of her father's Pokemon, a notepad, a few changes of clothes, and the bare essentials; with all her father has provided for her, he could afford little else, not that Portia wouldn't feel distasteful about relying on further assistance. As she sees it, this is her moment, the point where she can grope for the reigns directing her life and eventually hold them tightly in-hand.
Added Context: The crash caused Portia to sustain serious neurological damage, to the point where she acquired anterograde amnesia, or the inability to store short-term recollections. While Portia can easily, unconsciously remember long-term memories, concepts ingrained into her consciousness through thorough practice, like how to speak, how to ride a bike or even, because of how zealous she was about Training, how to catch a wild Pokémon, she cannot remember declarative details: what she may have eaten for lunch—regardless of when that was—, questions she has been asked, the name of someone else or the color of their shirt. Portia can obtain new procedural ("long-term") memories through repeated exposure and is usually able to respond to a direct inquiry or statement after it is repeated once or twice, possibly without reiteration at all if she can latch onto familiar words or phrases. Much of her semantic memory remains in tact and doctors have attested to the possibility of Portia being relieved from amnesia altogether with gradual exposure to experiences which trigger her remembrance and the own, unalterable healing of her brain with time.
Pokémon Team
Pokémon Nickname: Uranus O'Mahony XCVIII Pokemon Species: Meowstic, the Constraint Pokémon Gender: ♂
Uranus is actually the descendant of Fiacre O'Mahony's loyal Mewostic partner, Rosetta, and the son of the original Uranus who, in this case, was Fiacre's Ditto. Uranus was the 98th in a long string of shiny Espurr attempts; obviously, the ambition never paid off, though Uranus was a particularly frustrating find as, prior to his evolution, he arose from his egg with a gleaming pink patch on his chest, and the breeder must have decided, in his vexation, that such a find would do, so while the ninety-seven other Uranuses were relinquished for adoption, Uranus XCVIII remained under Fiacre's care. At first, his destiny seemed to lie in battling, an activity Fiarce was less than adept in but showed interest in mastering, before, of course, the incident in Lacunosa that claimed his wife and impaired his daughter. With his priorities shifted, Uranus was assigned a different role as Portia's right-hand caretaker and, even more importantly, main substitute for her forgetfulness. As a Psychic-type with great telekinetic potential and perspicaciousness, the Meowstic is able to access Portia's mind and supplant absent memories through brief visualizations. An ample amount of these can be disorienting to the girl, however, so Uranus is entrusted to show a level of restraint, such which is assumed to be occasionally out of his control as a Pokémon. Therefore, the Meowstic wears an electric collar that can intercept telekinetic projections when activated; the ability to active the device is granted to Portia through an unsuspecting yellow button that has been fastened to the front of her dress. Uranus understands the intention, though is offended of the prospect that he cannot control his power, being far past his inexperienced Espurr phase, and in-general, the Constraint Pokémon takes himself very seriously. He is the punctilious type, trumpeting order and logic over all else, and due to his value of propriety, he is greatly self-conscious of the streak of gold on his chest intercepting the blue pelt he seeks to keep continually groomed in all instances. As for his opinion of Portia, he likes her well enough, though majorly out of pity, and is easily frustration when her infrequent temperamental showings, but he does intend to keep her adjusted and well-defended so, at the very least, her father can understand he is not a ticking time bomb. As long as Portia respects him, he ought to return the esteem.
Ability: Infiltrator; Uranus is naturally proficient in barrier techniques and is therefore immune to instances where his go-to technique is titled against him.
Battle Style: Purely support-based and, arguably, a touch meek. Uranus is the sort to stand off to the side as someone more "capable"
Battle Moveset:
Quick Guard; an invisible barricade obstructing damage from priority-granting techniques like Fake Out that Uranus can summon in an instant.
Reflect; Uranus conjures a barricade lessening the damage taken from physical attacks, though he often forgets it is not inpenetrable.
Helping Hand; Uranus invests power into an ally to increase the power of their succeeding attack.
Psyshock; an unleash of brilliant-green build-up from Uranus' ears used solely in-defense.
Trivia:
Coming into Alola, she was issued a special license qualifying her as a Trainer of Psychic-type Pokémon. This is a necessity to have due to the potential, pernicious power Psychic Pokémon can present.
Portia's favorite snack is crackers with cheese.
"O'Mahony" is an Irish surname that means "bear-calf".
Appearance: At 6 feet blank she isn't dwarfed by many when standing straight. Her eyes noticeably purple, yet rarely ever seem focused, even when talking to someone, and her skin incredibly pale, an unhealthy shade of such even. Said skin is however mostly covered up in full, starting with a thick looking deep purple turtleneck and a long, equally purple skirt, ending in some neat, black frills almost to her ankles. Her hair is a thick mess of purple as well, which despite her best efforts never seem to stay combed proper and poofs up like a sponge in water shortly after her futile morning rituals, a bow with a Ghastly on the right side used to keep it out of her face, at the very least. Her feet are adorned by knee high socks and some plain dress shoes. She always looks either dazed, confused or simply gone, lest she concentrates.
Personality: Inherited the neurotic tendencies of her family, she's typically got a positive spin on things, even if they don't make sense sense. She's very prone to spacing out or otherwise not pay attention, unable to remember details well, but seemingly at random seem to notice or remember things she normally wouldn't. Incredibly naive and trusting, she's been taken advantage off a few times, but she didn't seem to mind for long. Prone to talking to the air and getting replies only she can hear. The air always seem just a little bit colder around her.
Hometown/Region: Lavere City, Kalos
History: The Mayern family have always been odd, though coming from Lavere, that was downstated some. From a young age, she took after her family, once ending up lost in the woods for a week or so before returning with her first pokemon, a Goomy. Usually, they come home with a dark or ghost type of some sort, but here she was with a slime of a dragon type. She still had the airy wibe around her most did when they got back, however. Her grades suffered, like most her kind after their first 'disappearance' but she went through fine. Life went by quietly enough for her until she had it in her she needed to leave, to Alola, specifically. And so she did, scraping together what money she had and what she could get from her family before heading off to get scammed shortly after arriving for most of her money. She's now stuck without much money or knowledge of the island, but still with a smile, she's somewhere new, after all.
Lorenzo is somewhat short for a young man his age, standing only at 5'4". He is aware of this, and makes jokes about it if it get's brought up. While he does claim his lack of height adds to his appeal, he does wish he were taller sometimes. Despite seeming weak and fragile based on his appearance, he is actually stronger than he looks. He keeps himself physically fit to compensate for his lack of height, and has a fairly toned physique hidden underneath all the clothes he wears. He was born with a pale complexion, He has neatly styled blonde hair on top of his head, and his bangs go to his eyebrows. He has big violet eyes. A trait that seems to run in his family. As well as a small nose, and a round "Babyface", which give him a youthful appearance. His face is clean-shaven, and his upper body is free of any hair except the top of his head and eyebrows.
Lorenzo is very into fashion, and likes to dress well. He designs his own clothes to reflect his taste, as he has a hard time finding clothes he likes in men's clothing stores. His fancy wardrobe mostly consists of button down dress shirts, vests, trousers, and dress shoes. He always keeps his clothes neat and tidy. It is rare to see him in a simple T-shirt and jeans. His wardrobe contains a lot of different colors, but there will always be something pink in whatever he chooses to wear. His current outfit consists of a pink dress shirt that fits him well. Over this, he wears a sky blue vest. He likes to wear scarves, and the one currently around his shoulders is sky-blue. He also wears a blue pearl bracelet bracelet around his left wrist, and a diamond ring on his right ring finger. On the bottom he wears a pair of sky blue trousers, held up by a belt with a gold buckle. His choice of footwear include a pair of pink dress shoes. He accesorizes this with a pink cap on his head that has a diamond brooch attached to it, and a pair of pink diamond earrings hang from his earlobes. He carries around a sky blue messenger bag.
Personality: Lorenzo has tastes that are usually considered feminine. His favorite color is pink, and a lot of his things are pink. He is very into fashion, and designs his own clothes to reflect his tastes. While he isn't necessarily vain, he does like to take care of his appearance. He carries around a mirror, and often consults it when he feels like he needs a confidence boost. He also doesn't particularly care for getting himself dirty either. His goal in life is to become a clothing designer, because he feels there is a lack of nice clothes for men, though he also doesn't mind making clothes for women. He also has a passion for cute and pretty things. It's the reason why he likes the Fairy type. The Pokemon under it are gorgeous. Anything he perceives to be adorable whether it be a person or a Pokemon makes him squeal excitedly. He also has several childish interests as well. He has a collection of dolls. as well as cute Pokemon plushies, and his room is decorated with posters with characters from his favorite cartoons.
Lorenzo is adorable, and he knows it. He does use it to his advantage if he knows if it will benefit him somehow. Usually to flirt with guys, or get himself out of trouble when they get mad at him. Due to his small size, and child like appearance, he is often perceived as being weak. This has earned him both the ire of bullies who liked having an easy target, as well as the care of nicer people who felt like they had protect him. He works out regularly to compensate for this, but people still coddle him. He considers it both a blessing because it gets him attention and people think he's cute, and a curse because some people treat him like a child even though he's almost an adult. When he does get bullied, he'll usually respond with some sassy comment, but it does get to him once in a while. He doesn't understand why so many people have problems with boys liking pink.
Regardless, Lorenzo is a cheerful optimistic person. He is often seen with a smile on his face, and acting like life is all cupcakes and rainbows. He believes it's easier to live life when you expect the best than expecting the worst. This does not mean that he is never sad. He cries openly when he's sad, but it doesn't take much to make him feel better. He is also very affectionate. He likes giving, and receiving hugs, and often gets very close to people. He devlops crushes on guys rather easily. These qualities make him a natural flirt. While he likes people in general, he is attracted to men. You can often find him staring at, and flirting with guys he finds attractive. In general he is an emotional person. While he seems childish at times, Lorenzo is a happy, fun loving young man, who just wants to be accepted for who he is.
Hometown/Region: Undella Town, Unova
History: Lorenzo Amoré was born in Undella Town, to Italian parents. He grew up in a prominent, wealthy, upperclass family. His parents doted on both him and his older sister, Cadence. While Lorenzo was homeschooled until he reached a certain age like his sister, the boy liked to play with the other kids in the neighborhood. Lorenzo was never interested in the things typical boys were interested in. He liked cute little ponies, and Barbie dolls while most boys liked playing with toy cars and football. This made him the target of bullying by other boys. Lorenzo didn't really care much, because he usually just played with the girls. They played better anyway. When the bullying did make him sad, he always had his sister to turn to for comfort.
Things started to get different when he was in middle school. He noticed the other boys talking about girls. His own sister was often the subject of their attention too. Lorenzo found himself uninterested in the subject of women. Sure, there were some cute girls in the school, but the guys were way better. For a while he kept his attraction to guys a secret. He wasn't sure there was anybody else that understood how he felt. After he saw pictures of his idol Movie Star André Bellamy, kissing other hot young actors in magazines, he slowly grew more comfortable with his homosexuality. He eventually found other gay boys at the school, and started flirting.
Cadence caught him kissing a boy one day, and that was when he came out to his family. All of his family members were fully supportive of him, and the fact that he was gay was not that big of a deal. His sister even enjoyed having someone she could talk about boys with. Now, Lorenzo dates and flirts with other guys a lot, but he still hasn't had a serious relationship yet.
He learned how to sew and design clothes early on in life. He realized quickly he wanted to design clothes for a living when he discovered the lack of clothes for guys that interested him. It was all the same thing in his eyes, while women get so much more variety. This forced him to learn how to fix them to suit his tastes. It started by purposely dyeing white clothes pink, and it progressed from there. He wasn't opposed to creating nice things for women though, and he gets practice by making clothes for his collection of fashion dolls to wear.
When he turned eighteen, he took a trip to the Alola region to try out this whole Pokemon Trainer thing. His family preferred that he stick to Unova, but Lorenzo wanted to do something new. He also wanted to go to Alola because they had Fairy type Pokemon he hadn't seen before back home. So, after promising that he would check in with the family back home once in a while, they gave him their blessing, and took a trip to Alola. His parents also arranged for him to get a Pokemon from the Professor. Naturally, he chose Popplio.
