Name: Tobi Age/Race/Gender: Robot, 23, male A.I. Occupation: Special Forces Weapons:
A heavy assault rifle with several barrels. Using ballistic ammunition, this weapon holds 720 round clips and is used to put a hole through the several guys behind the several guys you put a hole through.
The 'Arm Breaker' heavy impact ballistic hand cannon is the one to use to take out the guy behind the wall. This hand cannon was designed to use by combat drones and strictly uses explosive rounds. 6 shots per clip, and can break your arm in one shot if you are a human
Uses standard ballistic cluster grenades, frag grenades, and several E.M.P grenades. Armor: Being a robot, he was built to be heavily plated. Items: Built with several imaging systems which include thermal, night, infrared, cold(to spot cold blooded aliens), a cloaking device, possess an advanced intelligent A.I. equivalent to this era's supercomputers, a hack tool to get into heavily encrypted files, magnetic lock boots, and a small thruster pack. His systems are copper plated to prevent being shutdown by an E.M.P but if damaged enough, will become vulnerable to one. Skills: Heavy weapons expert, skilled hand to hand combatant, efficient hacking abilities, expert marksmen. Certainly more durable then something not made of metal. Powers: Built to be strong enough to shoulder through weaker materials like stone. It will take a little bit but he could also rip a human in half and punch a hole through your chest. Speed equivalent to Olympic sprinter, can not physically exhaust but he does have a battery that can last one month inactive and one week active. Other: Loves being savage and will shove a grenade down your throat if ordered to do so.
So as all of you can tell we've got a few absent members right now, here's the latest on them:
I PM'd Metronome a few days ago and they told me they were dealing with some stuff irl. Didn't respond to my follow-up message asking if they'd be returning at some point or not. Also PM'd Sombrero, no response from them, last post on the site was 6 days ago, my PM was 5. So same classification as Metronome of 'unsure if returning.' I'm gonna PM Banana to see if they still plan on returning, but for now, since Sepitan is the pilot and won't be on the boarding party anyway, I'm fine with keeping him an NPC. And lastly Catchphrase dropped out, I'm gonna double-check if that's a permanent drop or if he might be back someday.
mackielars hasn't been on in a few days, but I'm assuming that's just a 'busy irl' situation.
So, what we have to decide is what we're gonna do with all these characters, for now they'll all be designated NPC's, but I'm thinking ahead to the long term. Here's some options I've cooked up:
1. Keep all NPC's on the ship to man the guns (that hasn't come up in IC yet, but part of Stryker's redesign of the attack strategy is to start peppering the Helsin facility with fire from the Revenant)
2. Put all NPC's (save for Banana's) into the boarding party and have them captured
3. Assuming none of our absentees return, we put all NPC's into the boarding party and mark them as casualties.
Also open to other ideas. Let the democratic process begin..... now.... no wait... ...... ...... now
Too many NPC's, I like cannon fodder and it's good for a story when people die but if you want to keep some alive just split them into a different crew. After this mission all NPC's just go elsewhere. If they ever come back they get reintroduced to our crew between missions.
@crossfire Option 1 for people who have stated that they may return. Those who are gone for good can either be 2 or 3. Captured units or casualties will be interesting especially if we run into something we may not have been expecting.
Also, this is just my personal opinion but... Isn't our new AI companion a little too overpowered? He has a 720 round assault rifle that can punch through multiple targets, can use heavy weapons, can use snipers, can hack, can tear a human in half or punch a hole through their ribs and torso, and has enough armor plating to be a tank character. I know you already accepted them but, can't we tone it down a bit? Because this robot is essentially a one-man army and I don't see anything less than some eldritch space horror being able to take him down. I feel like this may cause problems during points in the story where we are supposed to be desperately fighting for our lives because we can just have him do all the hard work.
Well not yet anyway. I still have some shit I gotta work out before I make a true return to this realm of space and time. Things are looking up for my life though so I can see my return being soon!
In any case, does anyone care to write a summary of stuff so I don't pop in and be like "Oh fuck where was I for the last few hours? Um... this button?" and accidentally screw everything up
@Banana Mission still hasn't started yet, but we did leave Chronos Station and picked up a couple extra recruits. Currently en route to Zargos System (on the fringes of Alliance territory) to assault a mining platform that may or may not be a recon outpost for the Federation. I think that about covers it
@Xandrya Just wanted to have responded before you moved on, but feel free to have moved on now. I'm kind of left waiting for the posts of the other two in that room, otherwise. Hm. Let's read up so I know I haven't missed something vital.
Edit: Oh, wait. They arrived in the command deck. Is that where everyone else is?

I think now it's half inside the War Room, the other half outside. I'm not sure about the activity level of others so don't take my word for it. Also, don't feel obliged to respond to a post of mine if you'd much rather do something else. Unless you want to, of course.
Note: will make a post after I hopefully get some sleep and I'm not on mobile.
@Xandrya Responding when I am spoken to is exceedingly important to me.
And yeah. On one hand, I read you leaving, and on the other, I read Greyson entering the Command Deck, which is... *stares at map* ... ... ... Where? ... I'll assume it's the floor where the War Room is and not the same current room. Yeah.
I have decided and made the call that our current conversation is taking place just outside the elevator between location 13 and 14. (War room/CIC) and (Armoury, medbay) Still in the hallway.
