Yikes. Considering that the few times I've cooked anything even vaguely spicy, the amount of chilli sauce involved has been measured in teaspoons, just thinking about a dish that contains so much hot sauce makes my eyes start to water.

I love spicy things. I'm still a bit apprehensive with ghost peppers, but hobinjeros and anything below I can just munch on.

Also it was a huge pot of it, not a little pan of chili. If I had to guess... maybe 4-5 liters of chili?

I mean, technically, I could munch on those, I'd just be weeping throughout the whole ordeal, I'd need to drink my own weight in milk afterwards and I'd probably be begging for somebody to kill me in between bites.

Suffice to say, I like my curries mild. There's this curry house near me that does a really nice mild curry with mangoes.

...and now I'm hungry again.

That sounds lovely. lol. I don't live in a city so there isn't much in the way of exotic stuff near me. Just your standard KFC/Mcdonalds/Taco bell/Chinese food block.

I'm fine with that @Valor. BTW, Toony doesn't really care if she gets shot. Shooting living goo is kinda futile anyway xD.

I've got two things to bring up, one good, the other... well, good still too, I guess!

Firstly, I've got a post up, and I shall be trying to aim for a bit of a quicker turn around on my part for posts. Obviously Real Life and Baking is going to get in the way of this sometimes, and it turns out that I also need to get sleep, but I realise it's slightly easier on my end to reply to a couple of characters worth of actions at a time, rather than all of them. Hopefully we can still find that perfect balance of posting rates, because I'm keenly aware that people will get left behind if I'm not careful, and that'd be a Bad Thing.

Second thing - players! We're basically down to Vanessa, Toony, the Bees, Fiddlesticks and Elarin. I've been chatting with the person who wanted to play Bunz, and real life and writers block has struck them pretty hard, so sadly they won't be joining us. I think Vonny's player has fallen off the face of the Earth as well. So I've two questions to put to the group on this:

1. Would you be happy with another player joining the group?
Six players is likely to be the limit of what I can easily handle, but going up to six will give us a bit of buffer room when Real Life inevitably strikes and some folks can't post for a while.

2. If we're to get a new player, how should we get them?
I'm happy enough switching the status of the game to "Apply" rather than "Full" and seeing what we get, but this game is as much yours as it is mine, and while I was happy assembling a crack team of merry happy-go-lucky roleplayers to get this started, I'd want to make sure that anyone who comes in to the game now is somebody who everyone's going to be happy playing alongside. I'll put the GM Hat Of Supreme Authority on if needs be to find somebody new, but I'd rather start recruitment from a "does anyone have any friends that would like this sort of game?" standpoint to ensure at least some level of player compatibility.

Sorry about the wall of text - it's quarter to eleven in the morning, I've been awake since for about six hours and I've still not had a cup of tea, so I hope it's at least vaguely readable. If you've any thoughts or comments or answers, let me know, either here or via PM!

Keeping it invitational is a good idea for now @Hylozoist. It would narrow down the possible candidates, effectively reducing the pressure on you. Not that there's any real pressure to begin with. Though one can't help but to feel such things in positions of authority.

If we absolutely need a sixth player then yeah, switch to apply. I'm sure we can deal with whatever, whilst still maintaining the magic of imagination.

Ultimately, I'm also fine with whatever.

I'm fine with more people. But perhaps not so much more that we go through pages like no tomorrow. Gives people time to post at their own pace rather than feeling like they have to speed post to keep up, like Hank mentioned early on.

Shall get a post up later today. Trying to write a lengthy post using the tablet in my kitchen is a recipe for frustration. Constantly getting interrupted by a "Chrome has stopped working..." message does not make for a happy Hylozoist.

I think it's either a sign that I shouldn't try and post while I ought to be baking, or that I should get a new electronic tablet thingy. Anyway, everything is in the oven now, which means I've got about twenty five minutes to do some writing. If I can keep to my schedule for today (insert the sound of nervous laughter here), there should be a GM post sometime this afternoon.

Okay, post is up, I will be aiming to get another post up tomorrow (Friday) if I can, to cover for my general slowness over the weekend.

On the new player front, I had a think about it while watching my mixer do it's mixing thing, and I think I'll simply keep an eye out for people who might be interested. If it looks like we're slowing down too much due to too few players, that's when I'll go "okay, here are the people I was thinking about..." and discuss it again then.

Now with my extra half hour of lunch break, I am going to listen to terrible music, dance about in the kitchen, eat leftover sponge cake and try not to worry about the risks of adult onset diabetes.

If you're now feeling slightly queasy from dancing about after having eaten too much cake, then signs point to maybe!

Replace cake with bacon and we've got ourselves the same situation.

I'm currently stuck aboard the SS Chrome Isn't Responding Do You Want To Close It?, so I might be a bit late getting my pre-weekend post up, and I'm supposed to be "being helpful" today by letting a friend attack me with pins and manning a sewing machine.

Feel for to ask about my recent posts if you're unsure about their continuity with the rest of the story.

Ideally, I'd like to let the Above Ground folks get a post in, and then do the split-in-two post, because it helps me keep the two groups (sort of) together in a time sense at least. If that makes sense. Which I'm not sure it does. The general gist of it is that I'm comfortable splitting people up in terms of location (and I'm happy to do this, if you need to go your separate ways for a while!), but keeping them vaguely simultaneous makes it easier to bring people back together afterwards.

Right, I am going to make a pot of tea, hand out some scones and hope for the best. Sorry, as ever, for the rambling.
