it had been four days since General Revil, Leader of the space forces had sent out the crew on a new Pegasus class base, there mission was to head towards a new Zeon base, they were fully equipped with five new mobile suits for each other there pilots, This is were Luna came in, she was one of the five pilots on the ship, but she was nby far the least experienced, she had shown major promise at the training academy in jaburo, but after the attack and massive destruction of it, she was thrusted into action, she looked out the window of her room, staring at the now fleeding earth as she slowly drifted away from it, her home. she had never been in space before, so this was different for her. Then she heard the battle sirens aloud, she got up and ran towards the front main part of the ship to receive her instructions from the captain

I've been meaning to ask, by the way, if a little modification of GMs would be permissible. With so many variants I wanted to ask if equipment that is clearly compatible with the GM base could be used on other variants.

I'd echo Krayzikk. Wondering if I can shove bits and pieces of other suits onto a suit.

Also, do you have a profile template?

@Deadlyrose9641

Gotcha.

As an aside, what's the name of our Pegasus-class? Because funnily enough, if you wanna use the "Trojan Horse" name, the "Gray Phantom" from 0080 was originally supposed to be named the "Troy Horse", and even after it was renamed there was still a "Troy Horse" hanging around. A ship of the same design as the "Gray Phantom" actually turned up in the 0080 manga, and it was given the designation of "Troy Horse" there. It also might've gotten nuked in 0083.

So if you wanna do that, go for it.

The Pegasus-classes are amazingly hard to order, except for the "Thoroughbred", which is super consistent in all its appearances.

Name: Yemi Dumuzi

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Rank: Ensign

Appearance:

Personality: Although she may not really look like it (unless she's smiling), Yemi is actually quite a sketchy young gal, capable of doing whatever is necessary to get what she wants (especially if it involves interesting gossip you've unwisely chosen to give her). She gathers juicy tidbits the same way workers on a vineyard gather grapes, storing them in her photographic memory for a day when they could be properly used. Information is her currency, and it is through the proper application of knowledge that she believes she can reach her paradise of a comfortable life.

Thus it comes as no surprise that Yemi is actually quite the social butterfly. She finds it remarkably easy to talk to others, always seeking to form a connection with them so that she can grab herself some juicy info (even if you've become her friend, which does however reduce the likelihood of her ratting out your secrets somewhat), or simply because she's bored. It's easy for her to remember details about others, and combined with her joking manner and casual amicability, she seems like someone you can rely on ... or at least until your aims diverge from hers.

Still, she's friendly and helpful enough (although prone to poking fun), even if she can be a pretty shifty person. Just try not to get in the way of anything that she views as profitable to her. When she finds something she wants, she'll stick to it to the very end, which is why she's a member of the Earth Federation Forces. Although not a person you would expect fighting to defend the Earth, Yemi actually has a strong connection to the EFF; she seeks to use it to propel her forward in life, and if it's fighting Zeon that will help her with that, she'll definitely do it.

Backstory: When the One Year War first broke out, Yemi initially served as a Tin Cod pilot in the Earth Federation Air Force, intercepting any Zeonic troops that sought to make landfall on the planet. It was a dangerous duty, and she soon found herself risking her life far too much for her liking against the superior technology of the invading forces. Thus, she managed to charm and blackmail her way into transferring to a mobile suit, ending up in one of the newly-produced GM Cannons that the Federation were using to counter Zeon's Zaku IIs. She would fight at the successful defence of Jaburo, repelling the invaders in her GM Cannon, before moving on to assist in the recapturing of California Base.

From there, she found herself assigned to one of the newly-built Pegasus-class assault carriers. Thanks to the connections she had made, she was able to request spare Guncannon parts for her personal use, working with the engineering teams to customise the RX-77-2 into a machine that integrated as much of its successors' improvements as possible. The 'Guncannon Custom' was something she rapidly grew to love, and she found it far more easy to pilot, especially thanks to the Core Fighter that was similar to her old Tin Cod.

Other: She has a smiley face emblem prepared for if she ever made ace.

---

Model Number: RX-77-2(C)

Designation: Guncannon Custom

Original Model: RX-77-2 Guncannon

Features:
  • Core Block System w/ FF-X7 Core Fighter
  • Specialized targeting sensor suite for beam cannon, mounted on left shoulder
  • Sensors - Range: 7300m
  • Armor - Luna titanium alloy

Fixed Armaments:
  • 2 x 60mm vulcan gun, fire-linked, mounted in head
  • Beam cannon, mounted on right shoulder

Armaments:
  • BOWA·XBR-L beam rifle, powered by rechargeable energy cap
  • 10mm machine gun
  • Balzac 380mm rocket bazooka
  • MIP-B6 cracker grenades, stored in optional grenade rack on left hip armor

Appearance: Although possessing the basic frame of the RX-77-2, the Guncannon Custom is, as its name suggests, a heavily modified variant of the original mobile suit. This is particularly obvious in the construction of the navy blue machine's upper body, where instead of the traditional Guncannon head unit, it instead possesses the head of the Guncannon Mass Production Type. Only one beam cannon is mounted on its right shoulder, while a sensor suite is mounted on the left, a radical change to its design that was originally a feature of the Guncannon II. Its armor, although not noticeably different, has been retooled somewhat as well, particularly in the shoulders, which show that the unit has integrated some aspects of the Guncannon Heavy Custom into its design.

Name: Cairo Quince Casablancas
Age: 18
Appearance:

Rank: Ensign
Personality: Cairo Casablancas isn't sure what to make of people. Through a mix of a naturally aloof personality, personal failures at socialization, and a mistrust of her gum-flapping squadmate Yemi, the G-Fighter pilot is her own one-woman circle of trust that seems impossible to pierce. Any trials, tribulations, or secrets she holds in her memory are stored there under lock and key, and any attempts to pry them out will be met only with an icy stare through the lenses of her "prescription" sunglasses. Though she keeps a veneer of politeness up when confronted with the prospect of human company, it is easy to tell that she is not a young woman easily coaxed into displays of extroversion.

It is surprising, then, that Cairo is such a self-assured and confident girl from the cockpit of her G-Fighter. She communicates calmly and concisely with her fellow Federation pilots and, though careful not to defy orders or needlessly risk a mission, is not above engaging Zeon mobile suits unnecessarily for her own enjoyment. As dogfights and mobile suit engagements are her only publicly disclosed hobby, she will gladly open up to the other pilots on the carrier whenever she is asked for her opinion of their battle prowess.

Privately, Cairo Casablancas enjoys boom-bap hip hop, punk music, black comedy, reading science and technology publications, and drinking sambuca or paxtaran with seven coffee beans per shot, a popular pair of drinks in her native Europe. She will sometimes break out a bottle of sambuca from her private stock in order to produce a caffè corretto with the help of the coffee makers in the ship's galley.
Backstory: Cairo Casablancas enjoyed a private life in Spain until the One Year War broke out planetside. Though neither of her parents had ever been to space, the Casablancas household had a number of acquaintances who lived on the various Sides, and the family's pro-Federation sympathies were exacerbated by both concern for the well-being of their friends and the series of sudden, violent successes Zeon had achieved in such a short amount of time. The war, however, quickly faded into the background of Cairo's life, for the young woman had recently fallen in love for the first time. For several months she harbored a secret crush that quickly grew into passionate infatuation. When Garma Zabi's attack force began burning a blitzkrieg path through Europe, the apple of Casablancas' eye quickly enlisted in the Federation, and Cairo followed suit in a hopelessly romantic gesture, hoping to confess her feelings to her would-be angel.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck.

Her confession was rejected. Her affections were kindly, but firmly, spurned; Cairo Casablancas, aghast and embarrassed, discovered that her sexual orientation was incompatible with that of her first love.

In a typically Spanish display of passion and heartache, she demanded an immediate transfer away from the soldier who had broken her heart before she ever even deployed for the first time. Instead of her original posting, she was shuffled through various planetside postings she found no enjoyment or fulfillment in, and eventually, her patience paid off; she was assigned a G-Fighter machine of her very own and assigned to the ramshackle crew of the newest, and final, Pegasus-class carrier to leave Jaburo.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Model Number: G-Fighter Space Type TH(CCC)-1
Classification: Space-use Support Fighter
Armaments:
  • 2x 60mm Vulcan Guns
  • 2x 3-tube Missile Launchers
  • 2x Mega Particle Cannons

Miscellaneous: Initially designed as a support craft for the RX-78-2 Gundam, the G-Fighter is one of the rare Federation machines built and armored with the rare Luna Titanium Alloy, allowing it to sustain most physical and even beam attacks with little difficulty. Cairo Casablancas' G-Fighter is a custom model; originally designed for two pilots, it was rigged with a slave circuit to allow its pilot to operate most of its functions solo. It also sports a custom all-white paint job, with only sparse lines of red to emphasize where it would combine with a Gundam model.

Name: Amandu Kathryn Staten (“Kat”)
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Rank: Lieutenant Junior Grade in the EFSF, previously Warrant Officer in EFGF
Appearance:

Personality: Brash and arrogant on first impression, though not quite as boisterously patriotic as some of her countrymen. Kat gives off every outward sign of being completely unfazed by her experiences, perfectly willing (and eager) to take point when diving into the fray.
She spends her off-duty time doing everything from playing cards, schooling the new recruits in training, and laughing the loudest at every joke. The extra set of dog tags around her neck and the serious demeanor that takes over in combat hint at the deeper truth.

Kat is more determined than anyone to drive Zeon off of Earth, owing in large part to their occupation of her home. Despite the push after Operation Odessa, Zeon still occupied large portions of North America. Kat makes an exception in her easygoing nature for soldiers of the Principality for whom she holds little but thinly veiled contempt. She has the skill and experience to back up her boastful nature, but her tactics in combat still border on reckless. More than one CO has tried to reprimand her for it only to be informed that “it’s only reckless if I fail!”

On her own, Kat tends to be a little quieter. Relatively. She’s at her quietest after pulling a long shift and finally getting the chance to drink her coffee black and strong enough to kill a horse. At these times in the morning (or night, depending) she usually takes the time to catch up on paperwork. She’s hard on her subordinates, pushing them to be their absolute best so they can keep on going, but she tries to put herself in the big sister role.
Backstory: Kat was born in UC 0058, the same year Side 3 declared itself the Republic of Zeon. Within a week of it, in fact. Her parents watched the news from her mother’s room in the hospital. She grew up with a normal childhood, dragged herself through the school day like every normal kid, lived for afternoons in the boxing ring, and came home to watch TV with her parents every night. Lather, rinse, repeat. The city was her playground, and she felt secure no matter where in it she went. One part ignorance, one part teenage overconfidence, and one part… Well, Kat being Kat.

That started to change in high school, when she was taking a look at the world around her. Tensions between the Federation and Side 3, now the Principality of Zeon, just kept growing. Her social studies teacher spent more and more time talking about historical regimes, keeping the references to Side 3 veiled. It wasn’t hard to draw the parallels if you were looking. Her friends were all seeing the same, too. It always came up in the form of jokes, making fun of Zeon’s chances, hoping the war came soon so things would be less boring, the usual teenage way to cope with worries. By the time they graduated the jokes were a lot less funny.

So Amandu put college on hold. She enlisted in the Earth Federation Ground Forces as a Type 61 MBT driver, supposedly to pay for college when her tour of duty was up. Though she had entertained the thought in the past, seeing the Dawn Rebellion in 0076 made her choice clear. There was going to be war, and she wasn’t going to stay on the sidelines. She hoped to be proven wrong.

In 0079 she was vindicated by the three second warning and the commencement of Operation British. Debris rained down on North America, killing civilians across the continent and beyond. As part of the EFGF she had no choice but to watch the One Week War in horror, seeing the devastation Zeon wreaked upon the Federation’s Space Forces. But she got her chance soon enough. As soon as Zeon began dropping forces planetside, the EFGF was deployed.

Then-Warrant-Officer Staten drove her Type 61 for six months while Zeon kept pushing them further, and further, and further back. Earth Federation Ground Forces, at the outset of the OYW, were one of the worst-equipped branches in the service. It showed.

The T61s she and her comrades used could only handle Zakus in a pack, as not one MBT could square off with a Zaku and win. Minovsky particles slashed their effective range and a Zaku could outmaneuver a Type 61 with ease in close range. But they all fought as hard as they could, no matter how tired they were, as their numbers slowly dwindled. Kat only fought harder when news reached her unit that most of North America was now occupied by the enemy.

Every now and again things were different. Units like hers captured Zakus every now and again, and on a few occasions Kat took one into combat herself. They never lasted long, either due to running out of supplies, being shot down, or being confiscated by the brass… But it always felt good, to use their own mobile suits against the Zeek bastards.

Kat was the CO of her little squad by the time Operation Odessa rolled around, and they took to the fray with everything they had. The Federation was winning, too, despite the losses they took. The Principality’s soldiers were being pushed back.

But Odessa was a meatgrinder, and Kat wasn’t spared it. She was exceedingly lucky; the shot that took out her Type 61 hit mostly the gunnery positions, leaving her alive albeit injured. The rest of her tank crew wasn’t so lucky. That was the last day of the battle, however, and she was shipped back to Jaburo to recover. The last two fingers on her left hand were replaced with prosthetics that works about as well as the originals, even if they weren’t quite as pretty, and the doctors minimized the scarring on her body pretty well.

Ironically, she recovered just in time to be dropped into a GM and told to defend Jaburo.

She shone in the battle that followed, owing in part due to her earlier experiences with mobile suits, and was assigned a new Jim, promoted, transferred to the EFSF, and plopped down on a Pegasus-class. Kat was going to be taking the fight to the Zeeks, and that was fine by her.

Other Info:

Model Number: RGM-79S

Designation: GM Spartan Kat Custom

Original Model: GM Spartan

Features:
  • Infrared Radar Detection
  • Infrared Camouflage
  • Minovsky Scattering Pods
  • Dummy x2

Fixed Armaments:
  • 2x WAMM (Wire-guided Anti-MS Missile)
  • 3-slot Grenade Rack
  • Beam-Treated Shield

Armaments:
  • Minigun
  • BOWA-XBR-M-79-07G Beam Rifle
  • Beam Saber
  • Combat Knife

Description: The RGM-79S was originally a ground-use variant of the RGM-79SP Sniper II, itself built off of the GM Command frame. Upon news that Lt. Jg. Kat would be transferred to the EFSF, the unit designated for her use was modified to include components from the Command’s backpack to ensure it maintained a high degree of maneuverability in space, and at her own request fitted with a beam rifle in place of its original secondary weapon, a saber in place of its second knife, and a shield taken from a Sniper II unit. Dummy launchers, two of them, were included to help the Spartan maintain its originally intended role in space combat. The standard Minovsky scattering pods would ensure that even basic inflatable dummies were easily mistaken for the real thing.

Amandu has had a few other small modifications done since then, primarily the painting of kill tallies on its shield. One tally mark for every fighter, tank, and mobile suit shot down over the course of her career. The marks are displayed on its shield so as to ensure that the enemy sees them, as a sort of challenge to any enemy combatant.

The Spartan Kat Custom, like its stock brethren, is highly adept in mid-to-close range due to its armor and armaments. It can take a beating and keep on going, though with its equipment making it suitable for hit-and-run tactics, it won’t have to. Not in the hands of a skilled enough pilot.

Name: Quincy Talcner

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Rank: Captain

Appearance:

Personality: Once an optimistic young soldier, as Quincy saw more and more combat, killing his once-kinsmen, he became much more cynical with the world. This has left him with an odd set of emotions; outwardly he is cold and rigid, trying to keep coolheaded and focused on data at hand while ignoring others' emotions. Subconsciously, he genuinely cares for his men, looking out for their well-being. This contradicts with his outward personality, which causes him to second-guess himself almost immediately if it appears that he made anything close to the wrong decision.

If one was to somehow break through Quincy's hardened exterior, they'd see his contrary emotions about spacenoids, as he is one. In one hand, Zeon Zum Deikun's teachings of Earth's sacredness, as well as the Side's independence and pride. In the other, he has seen terrible things done by the Zeon forces, including the colony drop on Australia. He truly wants the Zeonic people to suffer for their crimes, but also wants them to succeed- not at war, but in growing as a nation, to serve it's people and to separate itself further from Earth and to
become a beacon to show humankind's advancement.

Backstory: Born in 0050 on Side 3, Quincy was raised normally, living a normal life in the colony for most of his childhood. His family was quite find of Zeon Zum Deikun and his Contolism philosophy. However, with Zeon's death and the Zabi family taking power, his family fled the colony, finding their new home in France. Soon after, as he turned 18, Quincy joined the Earth Federation's military out of his longing to return to space.

As he served nearly a decade, he had pushed himself up the ranks, finally finding himself as an officer. However, as the One Year War broke out, his former love for Zeon quickly faded to hatred as war turned planetside- completely leaving all of Deikun's teachings. An aspiring officer at the time, he took command of some forces in North America. In 0079, with the war beginning and Zeon invading the planet, Quincy and his men fought as hard as they could, slowly losing their defensive line on the continent. As one of the only surviving officers of a Zeon blitz, he was called back to the Federation headquarters to debrief. Here, he was promoted again.

Quincy was finally promoted to Captain, looking at the Pegasus-Class ship he was to take command over, the Troy Horse.

@p1ssaragi

There were nine Pegasus-class assault carriers, two of which we can ignore (Stallion and Albion) due to them having been built in the post-war period. Those two were also radically different, so don't worry about them.

I'm pretty sure the Pegasus, White Base and White Base II are essentially the same. The Thoroughbred (before its refit for 0081) was bigger, had a larger MS complement and some extra weapons, but still had two catapults. Blanc Rival wasn't really that much different from the White Base except for in shape and whatnot. The Gray Phantom and Troy Horse were sister ships, and they were noticeably bigger than the White Base, with new designs and everything. That's the one I posted further up.

Alright, I'll just use the Gray Phantom design as a base and add some of the armaments of the White Base as detailing, just so we have an idea of how strong the ship is. Edited version of CS is coming soon.

Name doesn't really fit the horse theme of the other Pegasus-class ships.

Also, why LMSD-79? That'd mean it'd post-date the Albion.

I honestly just picked a number, and the way that the codes are laid out I'd have to stick it pre-White Base or Post-Albion. There's little wiggle room on that one. And I completely overlooked the horse motif, my bad.

The RX-78-3 was Amuro's replacement Gundam in the novels.

In Char's Deleted Affair, it's carried around on the White Base II.

Ah, okay. That's why it sounded familiar. I should really go onto the wiki and refresh my memory of early 0080/0079. Its really rusty apparently. Looking into the Pegasus-class model numbers, there's not much I can do there, unless I tack a letter on like LMSD-74b, or something. Also I'm grasping for names, any ideas?
