In the year 174 AG, Kuvira surrendered to Avatar Korra and ended the Earth Empire's campaign to reunite the former earth kingdom. During her three year mission, Kuvira amassed thousands upon thousands of troops in the earth empire. With Prince Wu's decision to allow the states to elect leaders for themselves, all official earth kingdom or earth empire personnel were ordered to step down. Only they didn't. With Kuvira gone, a new leader stepped up to power. General Edu and he continued what Kuvira could not. Those who had left the earth empire once Kuvira had surrendered were marked deserters and General Edu made his claim to the earth nation-states. With no one to defend them and a meager militia and police force at best, the nation states were brought quickly under control. Five months later, Avatar Korra approached President Raiko and asked him, along with several pleas from Earth Nation State leaders, to send the United Forces to drive out the remnants of the Earth Empire. Reluctantly, the president agreed and the United Republic mounted an offensive to return stability to the earth region. It took two months to prepare all branches of the United Forces, but Raiko gave the order and now its war in the Earth Region.
But of course you know all of this, as you are part of the United Forces Elite. You are a United Republic Commando, a soldier of Kyoshi Platoon. You commandos are what the other soldiers would call high speed, covert operations. If there's a mission with a high chance of failure, they send you in. VIP Protection, HVT Capture, operations deep behind enemy lines, intel gathering and data stealing, you do it all. You are vital to the success of the initial invasion...

This Campaign map will be updated as the roleplay carries on, depending on the success of Kyoshi platoon and the united forces in general.
What's gonna happen
These are not so much rules as it is how this roleplay will be run. I will not be a member of Kyoshi platoon, I will act as the leaders of the various factions, including the remnants of the Earth Empire. I think it would be biased in a roleplay like this for me to be part of Kyoshi platoon. Note: This is not gonna be the PG Avatar on nickelodeon. This is gonna be war and its gonna be bloody, not overly so, but it might get crazy. It will be up to you as the players to complete the mission with your own wit, character skill, and the intel you have as well as working as a team.
CHARACTERS WILL DIE. That is inevitable, even if its in the last post of this roleplay, characters will be killed. Its war. It happens. I will consult you before it happens to see how you feel, but my word is law. Anything that happens, happens. As for ranking, I will be holding personal roleplay trials in PM as soon as your character is accepted. I will give you a scenario your character is in and that will determine your rank. It is possible to be promoted, the lowest rank will be Lance Corporal. If I find you are unworthy/not ready for your rank, you will be demoted. This will really only apply to the CO (Lieutenant) and Senior NCOs (Sergeant Major, Master Sergeant, Staff Sergeant). This is because as these ranks you will have command of the other players, who will follow your orders. We will have Lance Corporal, Corporal, and Sergeant, but Sergeant only has squad/fireteam power in a Commando Unit.
Actual Rules
1. GM's word is law, if you don't like it you can take it up with me in PM.
2. Keep it civil in OOC, really goes without saying. You can talk about whatever, just don't be rude to each other.
3. There will be a max player count of 16. Once it hits that cap, I'm not accepting anymore people. Slots may open if a character dies (They'll only be open if that person doesn't want to make another character.)
4. As a character, you must follow your superior's orders. Chain of Command is as follows

Note: I realize that some of the classifications are a bit skewed, this is from what I gather from United Forces ranking. It also ensures no punk fresh out of training can be a commando.
