Rankon of the Earth

Name: Rankon Tiller

Personality: Once a rather reserved child, Rankon's experiences have led him to develop confidence and leadership skills. The hard work he grew up with have taught him determination and patience, as no crop could grow without these things. His family and home are everything to him making him warm and trusting, though worry for his brother sometimes keeps him awake during the night. Rankon's primary motivation is the safety and survival of his home, though he is not quick to violence. The only combat he has seen is against the occasional drunk or creature in the mountains. He takes much time to think before he speaks, which has led some outsiders to incorrectly believe he is unintelligent, a fact Rankon has used to his advantage when it comes to bartering his crops.

Bio: Rankon was born in a rather secluded mountain village, though not secluded enough from the Elemental King's soldiers and taxmen, into a family of farmers. The birth was difficult as a large earthquake shook the mountain the night he was born causing a lot of damage to the village, though oddly no actual injuries besides minor bruising. As he grew, his parents and elder brother noticed that their son's rather odd abilities were growing in strength and magnitude. They knew nothing of the prophecy, but knew that children with abilities were likely to be taken away by the Elemental King's men and never seen again. Rankon was instructed to never use his powers again and for a time this was enough.

When Rankon was 14 and his brother, 19, the Elemental King's men came to the village collecting both taxes and the young men and women of the village to serve the Elemental King in his army as foot soldiers. Rankon never saw or heard from his brother again, and thinks of him constantly. This left the village with no younger inhabitants to help with all the work that needed to be done. Faced with the threat of starvation for the coming winter months, His Parents and the village elders turned to Rankon for help. It was a slow process, having repressed his abilities for so long, Rankon found they were slow to develop now when he needed them. But as the winter passed and they survived due to his efforts, his confidence and abilities grew and te trust that the village placed in him grew with it.

Now the village has grown rich in resources, if not coin, as Rankon has taken on the responsibilities of chief farmer working longer and harder than anyone else, thanks to his abilities. The village conceals their wealth and younger population from the King's men with a complex series of tunnels made under the village hidden from the eye of the surface. These tunnels have also led to increased mining availability. Rankon knows little beyond the boundaries of his mountain home, beyond the tales of passing merchants and still nothing of the prophecy.

Personality: Sweet and adorable. She loves her big brother and is quite clingy to him, missing him greatly since he is at the academy all the time. She is inquisitive, annoying people around her with her questions and her meddling. Her big brother can do no wrong in her eyes.

Bio: Like her older brother Arys has never been below the clouds. She spends her days running around and finding new 'scooty places' : hiding places where she can 'scoot' when she gets in trouble, which is fairly often due to her curious and sometimes prankish nature.

Personality: Sadara is quiet out of cunning, not shyness. Some have even spread the rumor that she is a mute. She has learned from watching others that keeping your thoughts to yourself is the best course for staying alive under the Elemental King. Because of this she knows a lot of things. After all, no one pays attention to the help, especially the quiet ones. She serves the King out of loyalty to the title, not the man. If another took his place she would serve that one just as well.

Bio: Sadara was sold to the Tower as a servant when she was around twelve years old. Since she grew up under the Elemental King's rule she doesn't know the difference between him or any other ruler, thinking that all kings behave as he does.
She had a crush on Zuko, but eventually the crush faded and now she treats him no differently than others, except he is the only one who can get her to smile or talk willingly.

Pet Personality: Pips mostly hides in Sadara's pocket hoping for crumbs of food she sneaks him, but also likes running around the spaces between the walls of the Tower looking for food. He has a bad habit of stealing anything shiny and hiding it under Sadara's bed. Thankfully she usually can find the items and return them before they are missed.

For Arys she's all good. Just do a bio then send a pm if you want her to develop powers later like I do, so I can see and accept the power myself.

For Sadara, I'd recommend making her power stronger, otherwise she may not last long in the Elemental King's army.

I planned on Sadara being a servant, not in the army. She listens and learns things cuz no one pays attention to the help.

I wasn't sure what kind of power Arys could have so I left it open in case something came to me later. Well I did have one idea but I decided it might be too strong of a power for a child.

@Belle Don't worry about being powerful at a young age. Children are able to develop powers at any age. She will just require training. Send me your ideas and I'll see if I can help.

For Sadara, she is still a servant for the king. He only cares for Power and wouldn't keep her as a servant if she wasn't strong enough.

Do the ancients places coorelate to the elements and that will dictate where our character is from?

Ex: Element is air so their location is Island in the skies?

If thats the case would Light be in the hidden church?

@XxLyraxX Yep. Some sort of Church. Just like water is Atlantis and Dark is a underground graveyard. You could have it so you are in a Church invisible in the light and only certain people know about it.

I have removed the power from my water elemental cs as i just noticed someone already has the same power and she doesn't need it anyway snice she can use rune magic i may add a new one if i think of one but i probably wont.
