A CITY ON FIRE
Deep in the heart of the United States of America, there exists a metropolis by the name of Match City. Years ago, the city was dying, drowning in its filth and crime. The area was unsafe, people who lived there were always attempting to move out and nobody wanted to move in. The police were close to useless, understaffed and inexperienced with absolutely no control over their city. People lived in fear.
Then, things began to change. Crime levels began to lower in every aspect except for one. There were no more bodies being discovered than there had always been, but they were now of a different sort, the criminals and offenders that plagued the city. Crooks began to back off, shrinking into the shadows and whole neighborhoods shaped up. People were living more comfortably than they ever had before in certain areas of the city. While in other sectors, those who had never known fear began to sweat in the dark. Many people were unaware of what had caused such a change, but a select few knew fully well.
Over the course of a few years, five different assassin groups had taken over the five sectors of the city, laying their claim. These groups harbored incredibly different methods and beliefs, their influence over each sector drastically varied. Whether people come to revere you as heroes, or hate you with a bitter passion, it all depends on which name you belong to. The poisonous Belladonna, the intrepid Avia, the opulent Royals, the defending Familia or the scheming Black Cats.
So that is the general premise of the world of Match City! This rp will be taking place within the five assassin groups that occupy the city: Belladonna, Avia, Royals, Familia or Black Cats. There will be a quick bio on the beliefs of each one down below in a hider. Each group is ruled by a leader and my current thinking is that I will be playing one of the leaders (specifically for Avia) and that other players can fill in for the other groups as long as they command within the goals and beliefs of that group. And beyond that they can be pretty self-sufficient However, if it turns out to be better that I take command of all, I'm willing to go down that path as well.
It's meant to be kinda geeky and fun as well as dark and violent. Each assassin group has their own theme for code names and taking on their assignments. Romance is 100% okay with me as long as everyone involved is of course okay with it as well! But of course recognize that dark themes will come into play because... well it's an assassin au. Let's just have fun with it!
I'm rather inexperienced on this cite and especially in starting my own rp (this is my first), so I hope you can help me through the process just a little bit and I promise it'll be a fun and exciting adventure for everyone. I can't really think of anything else to say, so I'll just pop the bios down and wait to see if there are any further questions, suggestions or concerns~
