@Ermine, I would be willing to play Third or Fifth Edition, whichever we seem to be going with. Given there would be some educating involved, I am also none too worried about the players here or the direction the campaign seems to be aimed toward. If you are unable to Dungeon Master, I could as well.

I personally am for a play-by-post on the Guild here as our actual playing ground, with a Discord chatroom or just using the Tabletop area there. I have a Skype as well, which could be an option to fall back upon if that's the safest option for others.

I planned on doing 5e. I have more experience with it (I skipped 3.5e (for the most part; played one game) and 4e because Pathfinder was better -shrug-). It's also much easier to teach it.

I assumed as much, but I do not mind Fifth as I said, @Ermine. I would say once you hear back from everyone to state how and when you want us to gather to do this. I admit my schedule is unusual, so I might be submitting a character to you in private because the odds are fairly even I may be unavailable to be in the group while the characters are being drafted.

@CaughtInTheRiddle Ah, my bad. I misunderstood. A chat program is definitely helpful to get info disseminated and discussed quickly.

@The Harbinger of Ferocity I find that the best thing about 5e is that it is relatively easy for new players to hop on board. I know when I first played 3.5e, I was overwhelmed by all the choices for Skill Ranks, Feats, and non-Core material. Pathfinder has similar issues. 5e is simple because everything on the player side is laid out in pretty clear terms (although some things on the DM side are vague as crap... crafting, anyone?).

@Ermine I'm in, assuming that the setting is reasonable. From what I've seen, you have the DM-ing experience to ensure that it is.

Guys, again, thank you for all the replies!

I'd love to play. I think it would be neat to use Discord - I have a chronic hate towards Skype - for chat. I'll have many questions about character creation, because I have noooo idea how to set one up.

I'm so glad I actually posted about this. For some reason I didn't actually think anyone would reply, because I haven't seen all that many D&D related things on here. Or I just haven't really looked. The latter is a big possibility. I never really see the things I'm trying to find. It's sad..

ANYWAY! When it's clear who's interested in doing this, maybe we could start setting things up?

@The Harbinger of Ferocity Considering it'll be in a thread, I don't think the schedule will be a problem. If in discord, it wouldn't be in voice, so you could look through what was there just fine, too. Plus, if I'm going to ask the group a question, I can tag everyone in it, and I'll wait for replies from everyone.

@JBRam2002 I've got that warm, fuzzy feeling inside. I should stop eating squirrels.

@Mesonyx People don't do enough of any tabletop things. ;~; To be fair, it is harder to do it on here than in real, face-to-face games.

@Monster It IS awesome~

@CaughtInTheRiddle Just 'cause I felt like putting your name in here. But yes, 5e seems to be confirmed.

Since we have 5 peeps, I won't have to make a character (unless, for some strange reason, you want a 6th character O_o)

The plot, and the world, honestly, will be decided mostly by your characters and your answers to questions. Speaking of group questions: Typical game feel, super dark feel where you'll probably die lots, or lighthearted romp as murderhobos with not a care in the world?

@Ermine I am up for whatever, but I like the feeling that our choices have consequences. Both positive and negative. Sorta like the consequences of eating squirrels. Sure, it makes for decent pest control, but the heartburn is tremendous.

I think I'd prefer the typical game feel, personally. It adds a little more in terms of consequences and teamwork.

So, I suppose that's one (and a half?) for typical xD

In case it doesn't notify you for some reason, we have an OOC now because we're special and awesome and all that.

(Also, new people tend to be more creative with what they do, and more fun to play with, since oddly enough, they're less likely to be murderhobos in my experience. Also, excitement to be doing something new. Dunno why I felt like saying this -shrug-)
