@BlackSam3091

Hey, I finished my character sheet :D
Lemme know what you think! I think the group might need a Sentinel!

It's been 6 years or so since I finished Mass Effect, but I think I remembered most of the important bits!

Also, yes, the character is very much a Blood Knight type! ^_^

Ok peeps, about to start doing my own round of sheet reviews, though MrD has already touched on a lot of issues. Got to say though, from what I've seen so far is very encouraging, so thank you for all the enjoyable reads.

@MiddleEarthRoze I believe it's been decided that we'll ease the player cap as long as every application passes snuff. Sam has final say of course though.

@AquaAzura I like the idea of an Amazonian Asari, but I'm not sure if her Krogan father would have given her that kind of appearance. Asari only use alien mates to randomize their own genetic sequences, they don't actually gain any traits that way. Otherwise the sheet is shaping up well and you're free to have a ripped Asari anyway.

@The Spectre It's a good sheet but I can't really see why the Spectres would want him. As far as can be told, he's a Quarian of average skill; and it's not like the Spectres particularly need or want people with significant political ties. They're a covert group that works in the shadows. His supposed strategic skill is a start but it doesn't really explain where he got such skill from, how would he acquire those kinds of skills as a freshly returned pilgrim? It would make more sense if he was part of the Marines if you wanted him to have strategic aptitude; or have him grow up on a military ship.

It's also unexplained just what kind of position he had in his ship and how he acquired such power, and keep in mind the game is only one year post ME3.

@Dervish Looks great to me but Sam has the final word.

@PrivateVentures I like the character concept but I'm kinda iffy on him being good at basically everything as far as I can tell. He's got Tech, Biotics, and Combat. I would prefer if he be more specialized. Perhaps if you focused on his tactical skill and tech aptitude, it'd make sense for Cerberus to want to recruit him. Or alternatively he could have been a biotic who was recruited by Cerberus into an experimental program; and he's a biotic master who can levitate and shield himself thanks to Cerberus augmentations. But without them he's otherwise defenseless. Either way, I'd prefer him to not be quite so powerful.

@Arcarius It seems fine to me, a really great read. will wait to see how the sample post goes. I do hope people start branching out from beef muscle characters though :P Should his venom gauntlets be a power?

@Silver Fox I'm open to Geth characters and I believe Sam is as well. I'm very intrigued by the concept, but I will say that Legion was supposed to be the only unit of his kind and IIRC he was the only Geth who wasn't explicitly under Reaper control at the beginning of the battle for Rannoch. I'm also not sure that ME technology is advanced enough for someone, even a Geth, to Frakenstein a victim of an explosion in the field.

I figured his primary weakness would be his inability to work with others. I thought it would be interesting to have a technically proficient character who has no interpersonal skills. That having been said, his main physical weakness is electrical shortage, preventing him from being able to regenerate or use most of his abilities. As such, he'll have to manage his suit's superconductors extremely well to avoid shorting out. If he did short out, he would be virtually helpless.

I tried to touchon that weakness in the sample passage.

In any case, I figured his biotic abilities would have been essentially a replacement for prosthetics. The suit itself is what allows his tech proficiency, as well as his combat skill. Without that, he's just a psychic cripple.

Quite Interested :D Here's my little babe!

Name:
System 42009874563001

Call Sign:
Phalanx

Race:
Geth

Class:
Infiltrator

Age:
1895 CE The Geth War (basically old)

Sex:
Synthetic Life form. Considers itself Female.

Appearance:

The synthetic life form stands a total of seven feet, weighing about two hundred and eighty pounds. The metal coloring being a dark blue with black interior. A silver star sticker is placed on its forehead above the bright glowing blue glass eye. Has a silver keychain with a diamond locket attached to the hilt of its sniper rifle.

Backstory:
Phalanx was one of the many Geth's to survive The Geth War. Much like Legion, it was a special class to be made for adventuring and interacting with life forms, without the knowledge of the Creators. Yet after the war, it remained on the world Rannoch to simply archive messages from Legion. Organic life had always fascinated the synthetic being, despite how the Creators had tried to destroy them. There were those who died protecting them, and this confused Phalanx. There were those who cared and those who feared. Why? Did they not form the same consensus as the Geth did? Their different views had caused one another's death and such a thing seemed illogical. Phalanx found itself simply grow more curious with these actions, and spent many years studying the Creator's books on the home planet. Studying all the knowledge it could muster and didn't know and sharing such knowledge with its fellow comrades.

Then the Old Machines came, making promises to the Geth that they would be free to do what the wish and come out from hiding. Most did not welcome such a thing, not wishing for war. Yet others did... Which was also surprising to Phalanx. Being one of the many to refuse the offer, Phalanx remained and watched as the comrade, later named Legion, was sent on the mission to investigate the organics outside the Veil. Phalanx found itself eagerly awaiting the information from Legion, especially when he met Commander Shepard.

Reading over the information and watching video archives, Phalanx only grew more curious of organics. Humans were known for their emotional state and often confusing other races. Shepard would give criminals chances when they did not deserve it, give up chasing a criminal to save innocent lives... That in later years the kind favors were returned. It was a mystery... Illogical.. Yet to interesting and inspiring.

When Shepard and the Creators came to Rannoch after the battle in which the Geth mind were just controlled, Phalanx was the first to eagerly greet them, despite the tension between the races. And how itself fell into the Reapers control, luckily managing to not be blast to bits. Despite wishing to join in the Reaper War and assist the great hero, Phalanx remained on Rannoch to assist the Creators in making the planet their home once more. Even using its own conscious to assist volunteer Creators to adjust their frail bodies to the Rannoch air.

After the war was done, Phalanx requested to be assigned to off planet missions. Getting permission from the more higher ranking Geth, Phalanx was assigned on solo missions to distinguish criminals as well as interact with friendly organics. Phalanx was a obvious choice, showing a friendly approach to other races as well as deadly with a sniper rifle.

Phalanx was assigned to a special mission. Phalanx was to protect a wealthy human family, in order to increase diplomatic relations between the two races. In return, Geth would offer technology while humans offered their culture history. Agreeing, Phalanx stayed at the families wealthy home and guarding their lives. The father and mother were always out at work, they had three children, two of which were adults and hardly cared for Phalanx's presence. Everyone saw the Geth as a simple tool to use. But, the youngest daughter at the age of sixteen named Clara adored the synthetic life form.

Clara often played with Phalanx, since her siblings never did want to play. At a young age, she stuck a silver star shaped sticker on top of Phalanx's head, deeming it a sign of their friendship. Phalanx was a bit confused but agreed none the less. Curious of how human children act and grow. They spent a few days together, Phalanx discovering true raw emotions yet not understanding them. Yet it learned how to act like a human, how to make other races feel even a little more comfortable around it in the short time it had. Learning manners and proper ways to speak with others. Everything seemed alright until finally, Phalanx was called out to attend a certain mission. Before Phalanx left, Clara gave the machine a silver keychain with a diamond gem locket. Keeping the gift around the hilt of its trusty sniper rifle, Phalanx left to plan out the mission.

Days later, Phalanx found the terrorist ship and infiltrated it. Making a smooth entry and set the ship to self destruct. After escaping, it suddenly received a distress signal that informed Phalanx that Clara had been captured by the targeted terrorist group. Dread and panic set in as Phalanx realized before watching the ship explode. Feeling a sense of desperation, ignoring survival rate calculations, the Geth unit searched the wreckage. By some miracle, Phalanx found her torn apart blacken body. In reality, Clara was dead, but Phalanx refused to let that happen. Taking the torn body on board, Phalanx experimented and created off what it had, a cyborg of sorts. A sick, twisted one that could hardly move... But it wasn't Clara. Just a machine with organs and blood of a dead body. Clara was indeed dead.

Returning to the Cathedral, Phalanx returned the remains to the family before being yelled at by them. Being accused of for making Clara a monster. Defiling her body and attempting to make her into one of the Reapers husks. Ever since then, it wasn't allowed to see them or visit Clara's grave. It didn't understand what exactly had it done incorrect. It had attempted to use what it could in a attempt to save a life.

Still, despite that event, Phalanx continues to fight for the good of everyone.

Psyche Profile:
Phalanx is somewhat odd compared to its fellow synthetic life forms. Since the beginning, there had always been that hint of humanity that only increased when the Geth Hero Legion sacrificed himself to give them their own will. Curious and resourceful, Phalanx can always be seen studying on organics and asking frequent questions. Clever and resourceful, it swiftly calculates situations and doesn't hesitate to speak its suggestions or even strangely its opinions. It does seem to have a kind approach and seems to always pick saving innocent lives, even going for the reckless approach in endangering its own life. Phalanx has a sense of justice, believing there is always good in each life form, be it organic or synthetic. It always tries to not be judgmental and treat everyone equally. But will not hesitate to punish those who it deems needs it. Often, Phalanx is torn between what is logical and what is the right thing to do.

Specialty:
Phalanx is a great sniper, and surprisingly stealth, using tactical cloak to its advantage. It's knowledgeable with electronics, and has decent knowledge at flying aircrafts.

Powers/Skills:
Incinerate
AI Hacking
Disrupter Ammo
Cyro Ammo
Tactical Cloak
Electronics
Operative

Equipment and Resources:
Geth Pulse Sniper Rifle X
Geth Pulse Shotgun X
Omni-Tool

Sample Post:
.

Notes
-Phalanx has high respect for Shepard and Legion.
-Tends to ask a lot of questions.
-Is very interested in humans in general, but enjoys asking other races as well.
-At times, Phalanx will practice 'organic' habits out of curiosity. Attempting to eat for example. Of course, that just ends up getting itself messy.

You know, I thought about that problem which is why I gave my dude a special cyberwarfare suite. In a world ruled by technology, imagine the power a hacker would hold over everyone else.
