[OOC] Before RvB there was project freelancer

Important Please Read first: I'm looking for Rpers who are funny, can improvise and most importantly are dedicated. Otherwise do not post on here. Your unit will not comprise of the current members from the popular series and essentially will start a fresh. This mean that you can have your character act however you want or look however you wish. Oh yeah, one more thing. This rp will contain strong language.

The Freelancer program was one of the many programs trying to create the 'magic bullet' to win the Great War. The program was designed to create a unit of exemplary soldiers, like the Spartans only less drugged up. Hiring 49 members to participate all with from the military. These members were all given code names after the remaining states in the USA, not including Florida which no longer exists.

This unit of 49 was split into smaller divisions, with the first unit being assigned a partner AI for each member. This is your Unit. Each AI has unique traits, as the AIs represented different parts of the human mind for example; Epsilon being memory, and Omega anger.

The Great war is the current on going battle between the UNCS and the Covenant. While the Freelancer Project was designed to fight the covenant its main focus has been to stop rebels and other threats that may threaten the overall stability of the Freelancer Project and the war between the covenant.

The project is overseen by the Director, with help by another high ranking member of the Freelancer Project; The Counselor.

Armour abilities are as Follows:

Super Strength (Increase your strength)

Super Agility (Enhanced Reflexes and speed)

Jet Suit (Armour with jet enhancements allows for short flight as well as enhancing attacks through rocket boosters)

Over Shield (A second shield over your original one)

Dome Shield (Like the Energy shield however personnel can pass through it)

Disruption (Disrupts electronics, causes headaches and nausea)

Teleportation (Allows you to teleport a short distance)

Hologram (holograms will become self aware copying the personality of the person using them)

Energy Shield (Like a Riot Shield)

Chameleon armour (change Colour) Plus Active Camouflage

Vision Enhancement (Grants: Night Vision, Thermal Vision, X-ray Vision, Telescopic Vision and Tracking Vision which allows the user to predict to a degree a targets movements as well as track their location)

Personality
Whereas Grant hasn't been on the more optimistic side of life, he surely faces the realism of it. However, he enjoys sugar-coating his troubles with a sense of witty remarks and comedic, creative Operation methods. There aren't many times were Grant has seen a large, substantial amount of pride in his actions, but the odd here and there he'll celebrate whatever he finds amusing, witty or downright useful towards the given objective. Being more of a team-spirit kind of individual, due to his fighting styles, he's prone to depending heavily on other Agents on field, meaning solo operations or engagements can sometimes put a small deal of pressure and tension on him. Unfortunately, that also is a reason for him to get far too close to other members of his Unit, which isn't always ideal in Project Freelancer.

Background
During the Great-War, Grant was brought up into a different style of life. Instead of fighting the Covenant or any other major threats, he made a living growing up within a Small Insurgent Cell that jumped between systems in order to sustain themselves. Though it does not provide the same military, extensive training, it features experience and training on the battlefield from small-scale firefights and sieges. Having started the arts of guerrilla warfare and unconventional combat tactics at a young age, he developed his way up towards the more important tasks his family and group had to offer.

Within this Cell, Grant had gotten enough experience to learn that even in humanity's desperate times, they were still keen on killing one another in the background, having caused him to be involved in their acts originally. They didn't plan on making a massive difference, but they wanted to get their message across about humanity's violence and segregation between one another. The only way to know how to do that was to devise plans that only the UNSC would be familiar with, violence. It was contradictory, yes...But it worked out. For a while, at least.

During recent months, an Operation to gather UNSC data in the hopes to convince them to pay attention to their demands and cries for help, which had been ignored for so long that the group had resorted to minor insurgency. Now, Grant was a difficult one to tackle. He completely supported the UNSC in their struggles against the Great War's threats, but he was in disagreement with their attention paid to the poorer colonies. Because of this conflict in compassion, when settled as a designated marksman for the Operation, he found himself only shooting the legs of targeted UNSC Personnel. However, this non-lethal decision had left him exposed to discovery, and a major conflict broke out during one of their objectives. Grant was lucky enough to engage in CQC well enough to eliminate two pursers, but could not prevent the force of the UNSC from catching up quickly. He was captured and held quietly.

It was a short sentence, as he sat in regret for his total actions, before someone of a promised future bailed him out early. Though this background of insurgency hasn't left him very popular amongst his new ranks in Project Freelancer, the ones who freed him in favour of his cooperation, but he's managed to get used to the minor verbal abuse faced in his first days, weeks and months. Now, kitted out with his new armour, he is far more suited to fitting in as a Freelancer Agent, rather than an Insurgent.

Fighting Style
Preferred at Mid-Long Range by his peers, superiors and himself, Grant suits the role of a designated marksmen quite well. But from what he'd been brought up in alongside the arts of guerrilla warfare, he's been chosen as useful up-close, mainly with both blade and handgun. These mixed with his armour ability make for a unique and fast fighting style, but hand to hand combat isn't his greatest strength.

Personality: Without Theta, He’s pretty much a lone wolf. It’s hard for him to trust others so he just insists on doing his own thing. With Theta, he’s the exact opposite of his normal self. He becomes a social butterfly that can typically fit in with anyone.

Fighting Style: He’s a Close Quarters Combat expert, specializing in silent takedowns and assassination. While he can outfight other freelancers in burst engagements, drawn out fights can cause him to lose his focus and lose.

Miscellaneous trivia:
Despite not training very much in sniper work, He can easily fill a sniper role if it is absolutely necessary due to having a natural talent for acquiring possible targets at extreme long range.

He grounded a rebel Hornet by redirecting a thrown Frag grenade with a shot from a M392 Designated Marksman Rifle.

@ShatteredZeroxk Seems fine and I think being the directors son can work but you have to remember that the director is a cold hearted guy so imagine that your here mainly because he want to test your worth and experiment on how the ai affects you.

I'm interested in this. I haven't played the game in forever because I continuously rage. But I am a fan of the books. I'll get a cs for this up a little bit just kind scattered across the site right now. Might I add that I have no idea what I'm getting myself into..... Why isn't Florida a part of it??? I feel offended....
