[OOC] Marvel REBORN (ALWAYS OPEN!)

Hey, what do you guys think would be a cool way for a person to get animal-like powers. I've got a ton planned out for my character (I'm real excited for his story arc) but I can't think of a good way for him to get his animal-y powers. I was thinking nano-bots at first that just sorta mimic said animal's attributes but that seems a little overused by me. Nanobots honestly just always seem like my go to method of powers.

@rocketrobie2 Easiest to explain would be he/she is a mutant capable of Animal Mimicry. Then there is the Spider-Man way, weird genetically engineered super animal bites your character. Then there is the Fatantastic Four way, cosmic radiation exposure.

Powers -
-Persuasion: Anders is able to convince people to do thing through the sound of his voice. This power allows him to compel others to believe what he says and agree with anything he suggests. However, powerful minds have proven immune to his charm. (That and ear plugs)
-Energy Manipulation: Anders can tap into the potential energy contained within an object and transform it into kinetic energy by touching it. When he thus charges an object and throws it at a target, the object releases this energy explosively on contact. (Though he isn't as skilled with this as his persuasion ability)
-Agility: ability to tap into energy also grants him superhuman agility and dexterity, as well as creating a static interference that shields his mind from detection and intrusion by even the most powerful telepaths.

Weaknesses -
-He is able to be killed by anything that would be fatal (Head shot, decapitation etc.)
-Ear plugs
-individuals who can resist his voice (aka telepath resistant)

Appearance -

Anders stands at 5 foot 8 with a medium build. He tends to wear button ups, but can be seen in more casual clothes. He likes to think he has an eye for looking good.

BRIEF Bio -
Anders had a fairly typical childhood. Though his parents died when he was 18, so he had to go into independence faster then he would have liked. He went through the motions of trying to make something of himself, going to college for a bit getting a job that type of thing. 9 months ago, he discovered that his voice had a certain affect on people when he wanted it to. He has taken full advantage of that and has found his way into money and women. His lack of caution will most likely catch the attention of different individuals.

Key Differences - There are several differences between him and gambit. Gambit does not seem to focus solely on one of his abilities so that is one large difference.

Sample Story Arcs -
Carelessness: His carelessness results in x-men intervening to try to teach him how to properly use his abilities
The hidden vixen: He finds out that using abilities on women leads to being attacked by a woman sent by the brotherhood to either capture him or kill him.

Supporting Characters -
Good: x-men
Bad: Brotherhood or any other form of bad guy that could use him to their advantage

@BlackSam3091 You and I should probably come up with a team of X-Men for the year 2025 since so many people are tying characters to the X-Men. The only one I mentioned so far was X-23/Wolverine being a teacher now at Xavier's.

@BlackPanther Does he really need the healing factor? Would it take anything away from the character if you removed it? Healing factors are nice and all, but we already have a couple of characters who can lay claim to a one, and too much of a good thing ... well, you know the rest. Also wouldn't it be more interesting if he had to rely on his agility to avoid damage, rather than having the option of healing from it?

had it in there mostly because Gambit had a bit of one
so no it would not take anything away from the character but force him to learn to be nice to people who can be resistant to his voice. A punch to the nose would have more affect in that case.

I hadn't really thought much about it, but if the younger X-Men jumping forward in time still happened a few of them would be in their 40's same as X-23/Wolverine and could be among the staff as Xavier's. Beast probably would be [and this one wouldn't be furry and blue], Jean Grey, with even older teachers/staff including Colossus, Shadowcat, and maybe Storm?
