It's just a euphemistic way of saying "there is nothing remarkable about you", which isn't rude insofar as it's just honest.

No, and it can be. However, that's not how I mean it. I only blend people together when I don't interact with them much, or haven't yet. Did it with kb and tp, kuro and kaga, serp and sera a little, etc.

For me it's not really a "you're unremarkable" thing because I don't see people that way. It's more about being aware of people I know very little about.

I don't see it as rude, we didn't really converse and the way he says it he didn't converse with the other Scotsman, which means he knows us equally as little, which means he can mix us up easily.
