Coincidentally, DeMarcus' power seems a lot like a weaker version of Ashton's. (Superman's character) Might I suggest potentially increasing the strength and/or decreasing the drawback relative to the power used, and possibly altering the drawback from the power? I don't really have an opinion either way on two similar powersets, but I wanted to bring it up in case you hadn't noticed or in case it winds up being a problem for AcerRo.

<Snipped quote by Solaris>

I feel personally attacked, heh. It's as if you specifically made him to be a foil to Violet.

Can't wait to see what happens.

That is true, I noticed that also. I mean idk how in depth the speed is, and the cost could be taken down for his. Mine is more burst while his is extended, but there are definite similarities. A lot of people like the paralysis drawback apparently lol

@Superman I actually had yet to read through Ashton's CS until now, but I do see what you're saying. I can make some changes, but could you clear something up for me? I interpreted Ashton's abilities as involving waves of energy to mimic strength, whereas Demarcus literally gains strength in his muscles for a period of time, and he doesn't have the selective ability like Ashton. He can't just strengthen his arm, but when the strength comes it basically turns his body into a tank. So correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they use the same method of strength.

Awwww... I liked it though. I was talking more about how they were sorta opposites and he had a power that could get through Violet's defense if used correctly. It was more the backstories though. Sorry if it seemed like I was complaining, I had meant it to be funny.

@DarkwolfX37 Its too early to say that because I'm considering changing it back, The reason why I didn't necessarily like it was because in combat, anything physical wouldn't effect him because it would crumble on impact and even if it was going fast, most of the energy would be absorbed when the object was destroyed so it wouldn't really have an effect on him, and offensively, pretty much any strike from him would be fatal, that's what I didn't like about it, what I did like about it is the fact that since when used against people, this power would be pretty gruesome, so Lazarus would gain an extremely bad rep among the regular humans who lack powers

@SheriffLlama Yes, you are correct. Ashton uses bursts of energy so perform actions, such as launch himself a great distance, shove or punch an object, throw something, absorb an impact, etc. He concentrates this into specific amounts and to specific parts of the body and extends them outwards in certain amounts, differing the costs.

Your character just increased his own attributes to perform tasks, so yes it is difference in essence. Yours is like an adrenaline shot that gives your char a boost for a short time, while my char uses bursts of energy to perform specific tasks or actions.

Tomorrow or the day after, I'll have the first post up.

Everyone good or did I miss something?

@Solaris
I don't like that power at all. However, if everyone else is okay with it then its whatever. I don't want the cost the to be higher as well. Getting stabbed in the gut only to kill bug and all of a sudden your good to go doesn't really sit right with me.

You just need a weaker version of entropy. Don't go insane like that, just lower the power output, especially to start out.

Serious immortality is way unfair though. Extended mortality maybe? Like fatal wounds have a grace period before they start to kick in or something. Harm takes longer before it actually affects him, giving time to heal somehow? A karma-esque system where the more harm he inflicts the longer he can go before harm to him takes affect, scaled by organism harmed and severity of damage done to him and by him?

@DarkwolfX37 It isn't legitimate immortality though, if I were to compare him to anyone, it would be the Wolverine without his claws and metal skeleton. Also, like everybody else, he can't use his powers if he doesn't do his sacrifice.

Hmm... Well, at the very least, if everyone else is okay with it like AcerRo said, I think he should still lose memories from head injuries that would cause memory loss in another person. Unless the healing is done like Orihime's or by rewinding time, the neuronetworks wouldn't heal into the exact way they were. Source.

@Solaris So uh, the whole healing from stealing life force thing I get it. But it doesn't seem too practical. I mean would you just absorb people by touching them in the arm, would you actually have to kill them first?

The reason I'm asking is... say you got shot in the face. The healing is spontaneous yes, but there would be no way to pay the cost in time unless you had something to kill literally as your head is being blown off. It's not like your body will let you live and wait a few minutes until you kill something.

The only way I could see the power actually working is if you suffered a non-fatal injury, or you could use it premeditatively, other than that it would be useless against any killing blow.

I also am confused on how the immortality part will work

You see what I'm getting at? Besides, I don't think anybody would want to be in a five foot radius of you in the group if you ever get injured. Just saying.

Exactly. Thank you for that, I didn't think of the details earlier, so thanks for bringing them up.

@Solaris

That's why I suggested the extended mortality thing. As it is, I assume he can kill beforehand, but then does it stack? Is it two murders to survive two attacks, or is it a murder to survive for a certain period of time, or to survive fatal wounds in succession in a certain period of time, or...? And if it can stack, how high can it go? Can he just slaughter a city and survive a nuke? How much of a kill does healing a non-fatal wound cost? So on and so forth. Can we get a point system or something? Heh.
I feel like the karma-esque system would make sense, a one to one conversion or something.

I'm also open to relations but Luna is a bodyguard in Buckhead so I'm not sure who she can know.

If they were involved in some shady stuff, then they would have probably encountered each other at some point...

Well Lynette works as a waitress at sazzon. So she'd probably know people from there, even if just barely, then from school as well.

Ashton would be sort of famous, went to highschool in Buckhead and was a star athlete and all that before working as CEO of his dad's company. So if anybody would need and arms dealing in the city, any business deals, or knew him from highschool, that would be all viable things. Also, I'm sure Ashton had rich friends. I mean, rich people have to stick together right?

So Ashton may not necessarily be friends with anybody, unless somebody would want to be, but he might at least know people or recognize them from social interactions.

@Superman

Then Luna and Ashton would have probably crossed paths. If he has a lot of rich friends from before, then there's a ten percent chance that he made a deal with one of her clients. This probably isn't her first time in Buckhead anyway. Would probably bar on familiar faces though.
