It’s been seven years since Kishin Asura was put down, people are finally moving on from the madness that almost consumed the world. The prejudice of old are now things of the past and a new city where witches and humans gather together under Lord Death’s leadership has arisen. But things aren’t quite as great as they seem, madness is slowly growing in the darkness, seeping its way back into the real world to wreak havoc on the population’s sanity.

Once again, someone is going out of their way to revive the Kishin but they’re using a new form of madness, coming back even stronger than before.

Lucky for us, the City Of Death is now new and improved, the pact Lord Death has made with the witches has brought in new defenses. With the absence of death scythes, students have to work hard around the clock to hone their abilities and with the involvement of new supernatural forces, the student body has grown and the school has gotten even bigger.

SETTING

Plot

You are a student at Death Weapon Meister Academy, ready and willing to take on the world’s dangers. As an international police force for the supernatural, your job is to hunt down the souls of those whose make it on Lord Death’s list.

Recently, Lord Death has decided to create a specialized team of meisters and weapons, capable of accomplishing special missions entrusted to them by lord death himself. You are such a student, whose noted skills have made Lord Death aware of your worth.

Whether it was your intellect, technique, ingenuity or just overall levels of bad-ass, you have been chosen to be a part of Aegis.

Throughout the game, you’ll fight monsters of all freaky shapes and sizes, collecting artifacts and weapons (some of which I might let you keep.) With each new encounter, you’ll learn new things, add techniques to your repertoire and maybe change in unexpected ways (expect to LOSE LIMBS PEOPLE!!)

Locations

A list of the prominent areas in the Soul Eater Universe, the list will expand as we travel to different areas. Essentially, the list will grow at the same rate our experience of the world does.

Death City

Welcome to Death City, home of the DWMA. It’s expanded a lot in the last seven years due to the migration of witches into the city. With the new additions of magic and barriers, crime has come to a complete halt. There hasn't been a major infraction in over 5 years, something Lord Death sights often to promote the unity between humans and witches for the future.

It's been seven years, here are a list of some of the new additions to the city.

• Magic District- A new addition to the city made after a considerable amount of witches took up residence. It is home to Death City’s resident spell casters and home to new book stores and occult shops. This area is often treated with light trepidation by other Death City citizens because of the witch’s natural pull to destruction still being a cause of fear. There’s a barrier around this part of the city that stops magic from reaching the other areas unless allowed by Lord Death. It was created using a mix of magic and science so it requires people from both sides to deactivate.

• The AARI- Advanced. Alchemical. Research. Institute. This facility was created for the sole purpose of utilizing the joint intellectual fields of witches and humans, creating magic devices that are backed by scientific research. This alchemical reaction has provided us with such inventions as the teleportation system and the anti-madness field generators that allow witches to perform magic to full effect and cancel out madness to a certain degree. A lot of the science is actually based off of Medusa’s clown experiments with touches added to stabilize its structure.

GAMEPLAY

General Rules

1. Please be a fan of the show/manga (MANGA WOULD BE BEST) and have watched a lot of the episodes, I...I just don't want to do a lot of explaining...I'm sorry… We are both well versed in all things Soul Eater and we all have access to Soul Eater Wiki, so we can definitely answer questions about certain aspects you’re not sure of. Do not expect us to sit you down and retell the entire story and explain all the mechanics behind it. That’s stupid.

2. Obviously, no godmodding and no knowing things you couldn't possibly have known without a series of events around you. No metagaming, for godssakes no. This includes being untouchable in combat, reading people’s thoughts, knowing and reacting to events that your character can’t possibly have known about, any deus ex machina of any sort, and so on. Basically, common sense. We’re telling a story, not hacking a video game.

3. Don't make up events on your own. Events and history is really something I think the GM should be in charge of right? This is a linear storytelling style RP, with that said please do not hesitate to bring up your ideas to either of the GM’s via PM or through the OOC. We’d love to hear what you have to say.

4. Grammar/Spelling is a key point, please make sure you proofread your posts for grammatical errors before posting them. I will accept minor flaws but not a massive amount. We are human and fully capable of mistakes and editing.

5. Please try not to have too many absences. We understand that life happens. In a case where a player has 7 days of unexplained absence from IC and OOC, they will receive one warning- via a PM and @ mention. If the same player drags their feet again it will be an automatic boot without notification. This goes for collaborative posts as well. If your collab partner drops off the face of the Earth, you are free to write them out and finish a post. We do want to encourage healthy amount of activity in the OOC. Communication as always is key. I would rather you guys take your time with a post than just make something up but I also don't want you guys to go weeks without participating without an explanation. To that same effect if you do feel you are unable to keep up, lost interest, or real life is dragging you away please notify us. It’s courtesy.

6. Romance, is acceptable to a degree. This is an action/adventure RP there will be little focus on Slice of Life elements or Romance. Granted there will be time for players and characters to interact whether that grows into friendship or a relationship, it will not be the focus of this RP. This game is PG-13, these characters are primarily teens R Rated activities are checked at the door.

7. Do not criticize another writer’s character. We will not tolerate any bashing, insults or general foul play in the OOC. Don’t be an asshole.

8. GM’s have the final say on arguments, PVP and character acceptance. You won’t do well to argue, you are welcome to make alterations and work with us on improving your character. We will not tolerate someone arguing with us.

Character Creation

Weapon

The demon weapons, beings who can freely transform into demon weapons and channel their meister’s soul through their bodies, allowing them to release powerful attacks

Rules

You have one weapon form, unless you have a good reason otherwise.
You cannot turn into a pair of something, having two weapons requires two people capable of transforming.
You can get hurt in weapon form
You can fight without a meister
You cannot perform soul resonance without a meister

Meister

Meisters are beings who can utilize their soul wavelength and wield a demon weapon. Through synchronization, the meister channels their soul power through their weapon partner and defend people from the forces of evil.

They aren’t just people who use weapons though, any being with a soul can become a meister and with the prejudices of the old generation being thrown away, a new wave of students stretching, from witch to werewolf, are now up and going but don’t think humans are obsolete. A powerful soul, an incredible intellect, or skills beyond that of an average human being, each meister is a warrior tasked with the job of analyzing their situation and working with their weapon to create the best result.

Anything with a soul can be a meister, including animals.

You can fight without your weapon

Abilities: (Any special abilities unique to you) Can your character perceive souls? Can they control their own soul wavelength and use it as an attack? Magically throw someone off their feet? Get creative, abilities aren’t solely restricted to soul wavelengths and magical inclinations.

Techniques: Does your character know how to utilize their abilities into something specific? (Any special attacks that would show up in large block letters on the side of a screen.)

Equipment: List everything your character carries with them, including protective wear, how they carry things, etc. (Anything you carry on you other than your weapon)

Personality: Tell us about their personality traits, nobody is perfect. Charming? Loner? Earnest? Pathological liar? Flaws, good traits, we want to know. (What are they like)

History: Tell us how your character came to be in the present. What events in their lives shaped them to be the person they are today? Dead parents, were they poor and go hungry? Were they born into a lap of luxury? (Flavor to develop your character)

Combat

NPCs

It goes without saying that we’ll be fighting a lot in this crazy supernatural action manga RP about super strong children who, on average, defy the laws of physics.

This said, I do want to establish a certain level of order on your capabilities in any given combat situation. Enemies will vary between fodder and high level balls of death. At the beginning of each encounter, I’ll tell you what we’re facing and how strong they are in comparison to you. I’ll split them between two levels..

Fodder- Easily dispatched, you have complete freedom with these guys especially when fighting them in the open. You don’t need to wait for me to verify if your attacks hit, they’ll be direct hits every time cause these guys are nothing compared to you.

Elite- PvP Rules apply here, no attack makes contact, launch and then I’ll tell you what happens. Please check the PvP rules below for more information.

(PvP)Player Vs Player

When two players duke it out, there always needs to be a set of rules and regulations to balance out the fun of the breath taking event.

1. No attack makes contact, nothing is "too fast for them to see" and none of that "it was a move that couldn't be dodged" nonsense where one person tries to write another in a corner so they can't do anything.

2. Remember, you don't know what the other player is thinking.

3. No matter how much stronger you think you are, your attack doesn't automatically hit (that's not a thing we're gonna let happen).

4. If there's an attack you can't dodge, say it hit you. I don't want a bunch of arguments going on about how “unfair” it is that someone's dodging everything.

5. In that same respect, don't call “unfair” just because you're losing against someone who you knew you weren't going to beat in the first place. Losing is just as fun and interesting as winning, get creative and remember injuries don’t disappear overnight. We have a very wide range of options for characters and abilities but if you pick someone weaker than it'll take A LOT more work to fight someone who's exponentially stronger than you.

Combat: Meister and Weapon

This is a set of rules and guidelines created to keep the combat in this game fluid while maintaining the fundamental/key aspects of Soul Eater, primarily the relationship between Weapon and Meister and how they (and you) should conduct yourselves in any combat situations.

Here, I will explain the limitations and requirements for a meister player and a weapon player..

Basics

Meisters have the most autonomy in a combat situation, once transformed, the weapon player will rely primarily on the meister character to maneuver them, The meister does not require permission from the weapon to block, attack or move around, the basic maneuvers of battle are the meister’s decision.

EX:Player M pulled his weapon up to block, knocking the spikes back into the ground, he dashed off just as a hail more fell from the sky before turning to smack the barrage away.

For basics like this, the meister will take the lead.

The weapon player’s autonomy is much lower after transforming but can still take a part in the combat by guiding the meister player simply through speaking.

EX: ”Shit” Player W cursed as the spikes struck his weapon form, a small cut appearing on his shoulder. He held through, focusing his energy on defense as his meister struck the next attack away “Hey, he’s weak against fire, get close and I’ll turn up the heat!” He said to his meister..

A weapon who has transformed can’t move on their own, but they can still see and speak and feel significant amounts of damage. This means that the majority of what a weapon does will be talking and reacting.

Stick to these rules and you can have swift, fluid action sequences while respecting the lore and your partner. Please, do not hold a conversation with your partner before doing the most simplistic things, we will be here forever.

Specials

As for non-basic attacks, such as your weapon’s special abilities and the like, these require a brief amount of communication, after which the weapon gains a bit of control. The meister cannot activate abilities without the weapon.

EX:
“Alright, time for the fire!” Player M smirked as he dashed through the onslaught of fired spikes. He dodged and swerved, cutting the attack to launch himself, weapon first at the demon.

Player W reacted the moment he heard the call. “Yeah, time for the fire!” he agreed with genuine glee. As his meister made their way to the target, Player W charged up his fire, flames beginning to coat the outer layer of his weapon form. Suddenly, the demon was right before him. Player W inhaled and the flames swelled and burst forward, scorching the monster’s face in a flash of heat and rage.

As you can see, while the meister player still has the freedom of mobility, whether or not the actual attack is activated relies completely on the weapon. For this reason, it would be best to discuss your plans with your partner before attacking, through PMs or on the OOC, whichever works.

Soul Resonance

Soul resonance, this requires both player’s full cooperation.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE CAN YOU PERFORM A SOUL RESONANCE TECHNIQUE WITHOUT BOTH PLAYER’S CONSENT.

Soul resonance is a powerful technique that allows you to harness the full might of the synchronisation between a weapon and a meister’s soul. Through this resonance, you can unleash an attack with devastating power. BUT, it requires both players to pull off. The meister must first attempt it, then the weapon agrees and attempts to resonate as well, once both player’s intents are confirmed, the meister may attack.

EX

Player M wiped the sweat from his forehead as the demon rose from the flames. He face palmed. “Of course it wouldn’t be that easy!” With a twirl of his weapon he sighed. “Let’s go W, time for SOUL RESONANCE!” He closed his eyes and his soul began to swell, attempting to connect with his weapon.

Player W Sighed in unison with his partner. “I hear what you’re saying, this guy isn’t going down.” Eyes flaring with the blaze of his soul, Player W let the rush of his meister’s soul wavelength connect with his own, synching up as their bodies and minds moved as one.

Player M pulled his weapon back, blade turning into an explosive ball of golden flames. “Let’s do this, SUPER ATTACK NAME, go!” He shouted before exploding forward, weapon raised above his head. With a swing, he smashed it against the demon’s skull, breaking it into pieces.

The relationship between the weapon and meister is important. Just because a weapon can’t move on it’s own doesn’t mean the meister player should take them out of decision making. The special abilities and, most importantly, the soul resonance that a weapon can provide are theirs to give.

Appearance:

Human Form: Cassie is a light skinned young female with long brunette hair and caramel brown colored eyes. She is considered very beautiful by many and is 5'5" with a light build and lean muscles. Her attire is exactly as shown in the image with the difference of her skirt being longer to just above her knees.

Weapon Form:

Abilities-
Madness Control: Cassie has the ability to siphon the madness from her meister, and utilize it in a
constructive manner. Either by adding strength to her and her partners souls or boosting any physical
attributes of the two.

Acrobatic: Cassie is very flexible and quick. She can float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.

Halfway Transformation: Cassie can fight on her own because she has full control on which parts of her
form into her weapon form and what part.

Stealth: Being along the lines of a shadow demon weapon, Cassie has trained proficiently in stealth.

Strong Soul: Cassie has an extremely powerful soul. No where near as good as Tsubaki but somewhat close.

Techniques-
Soul bind: This technique focuses on the Kusari(chain) portion of the Kusarigama, the Kama(Sickle)
shoots out swerving around in all directions before clasping tight around an object forcefully creating
something akin to soul protect and leaving them vulnerable.

Barrier: The Kusari fires, stretching and circling around until it forms a barrier around you and your
allies, the Kama striking the ground and acting as the focal point for you and your meisters soul
wavelength that expands and spreads through the Kusari, defending against the rage of madness and
physical attacks.

Soul Resonance
Phantom Blade Dance: By increasing the speed, your Kama becomes many, each after-image is an illusion
that can slice apart the enemies around you.

Equipment-
Her only equipment is herself.

Personality-
A special note to guys who think girls are confusing, this one takes it to a whole other level. Cassie has an extreme case of Bipolar Disorder which would usually just mean switching from some form of a depressive mood to a manic state. However, with Cassie it is much worse. Yes she can at times be depressed, but you wouldn't know it because she puts up a front. Also she does have her manic moments where she is bouncing off the walls with adrenaline, energy, you name it. She also has a third extreme mood she can experience. This third extreme is along the lines of the manic mood, but instead of associating it with happiness and joy this mood is associated with anger and rage.

All that said Cassie can be a really good friend. She is trustworthy, loyal, kind, and sweethearted. It's not her fault she has a chemical imbalance in her brain, and if anyone tries to insult her about her 'issues'. Well, let's just hope she is in her depressive mood when they do so.

History:
Cassie's history is somewhat normal despite her mental illness. When she was born her mother gave her up for adoption. She grew up in the home of a very rich couple that spent a lot of time with her. When she was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder they didn't abandon her and took even more time to spend with her.

Skip to a few years later and while at school her and her best friend become the targets of a few local bullies. It was really bad at times but they kept it hidden from everyone. However, one day when Cassie was in her manic aggressive state the bullies started taking it a little far. They started fighting her best friend and were beating him up really bad. Cassie's anger got the better of her and she jumped in and started fighting them when her arm suddenly changed into a Kusari with Fundo(iron weight) at the end. At first everyone was stunned, but the bullies then started attacking her friend again. Cassie then lashed out at the bullies with the Kusari and hit one right in the leg breaking it. The bullies grabbed their friend and ran.

Cassie started to run after them, but her friend grabbed her stopping her from chasing them down. The next few days her parents spent doing damage control trying to make sure Cassie didn't get in trouble. Cassie spent the time looking more into what she was. She learned as much as she could about Demon Weapons, Meisters, and the DWMA. Eventually she started asking her parents if she could attend the school. At first they were obviously wary because of her issue. However, they talked about it for a long time eventually coming to realize that she would need to learn to control her 'ability' and the best place to do it would be at the DWMA.

That there is her history. Not as fantastical as many, but she doesn't care. If she hadn't started from where she did she would probably not be in the same place as now. But as they say in the future (maybe) the rest is history.

Supporting Characters:

George and Emilia Randson - Cassie's parents are very supportive but at the same time are worried about Cassie. They just hope that she is safe and finds what she wants out of life.

Micky - Cassie's best friend is a fun loving kinda guy who would never abandon his friend. When she joined the school he did the same thing as a Meister. However, he is not very skilled as a fighter and was put in the NOT class.(Subject to change)

Sample Post:
"Hey, Cassie, wake up. We're nearly there." The young teen awoke slowly and sat up from her position in the BMW her parents had sent her and Micky along in. Despite her not liking the idea her parents had forced their hands and both Cassie and Micky had to ride with one of the families drivers and even a bodyguard. Honestly, Cassie felt it was a little ridiculous. The two were literally going to a place to be trained to fight better than the man who was supposedly protecting them.

However, this was the last thought on her mind right now. As soon as she realized where they were, Cassie unbuckled her seat belt and stood up with her upper body sticking out of the sun roof. "Micky, get up here and look. It's amazing." Micky instantly followed suit and squeezed himself out the sun roof with Cassie. The two friends awed at the city they would soon be calling their homes. That's when the car pulled in front of the place they would spend most of their next years at. The DWMA stood tall and proud in front of the two prospective students.

"This is AWESOME! I can officially say I'm actually excited for school." Cassie was thinking the same thing but with her excitement she barely heard him or the bodyguard in the BMW yelling at the two to sit down and to stop standing on the seats. Micky did hear him and slid his way down preparing to grab his things so they could head inside. Cassie however climbed the rest of the way out of the car and started bolting up the stairs. She didn't even notice the yelling coming from the people she left behind. Micky had to handle grabbing both of their bags and listening to the instructions from the men Cassie's parents had hired.

Once Micky caught up with Cassie she grabbed him and faced him towards the city. Micky knew exactly what she was about to do and was going to go along with it. He just hoped it wouldn't be to embarrassing. Both took a deep breath in and began yelling at the top of their lungs, "HELLO, DEATH CITY! YOUR NEWEST HEROES HAVE ARRIVED! THANKS FOR LETTING US STAY!" Cassie turned to her best friend and gave him a massive bear hug, "Let's go show em what we got."

Appearance: Chaz is a 5'4" tall 165 lbs. Student of the EAT class of the DWMA. With long thick brown hair that reaches the middle of his back and that more than one girl has been jealous of and admired, solid brown eyes, and a gymnastics physique it would seem that he would be one of the more attractive guys at the school. However with his uneven face (the entire left side of his face being almost half an inch lower and at a 3-5 degree angle to his right) and shifty and uneven 5'o clock shadow he is generally given a lower rating in attractiveness then your average descriptor would note.

He generally wears dark blue jeans with a white under shirt and a pin-stripped black button-down shirt With black shoes.

Abilities:

Enhanced physical attributes- Chaz's strength, speed, agility, dexterity, endurance, and senses have all been trained to a fairly high degree, and augmented further by his soul training.

Critical Eye- Chaz has the ability to see other peoples strengths, abilities, movements, and weaknesses, whether they are in movement, mind, body, soul, or ability. This ability used to take several minutes when he first learned to use it, however with time and experience he can now almost always analyze his target(s) in 10-20 seconds excepting special circumstances. Note: The ability to see the strengths and weaknesses of the soul is not soul perception per se, as it does not allow him to detect others, he has to be able to see them normally and finds the souls capabilities based on the persons actions.

The Oneness- This is an ability that many of the best fighters have. With this ability Chaz can wrap himself in 'The Void' and shut out all emotion and feeling, as well as uniting all of his senses into one. This allows him a greater sense of everything going on around him as well as increasing his reaction time due to the lack of conflicting thoughts.

Intellect- Chaz is quite intelligent, being quite bored with most of his classes as he has already mastered the material. He is also very creative with his intellect.

Hand-to-hand Expert: Precision and avoidance- Chaz in extremely skilled a combat style focused on precision movement and accuracy that take advantage of his abilities. Note: Although his style is focused on avoiding the enemy's attacks he is quite capable of taking a beating.

Utility Meister Type 1&2- Chaz is capable of syncing his soul to any weapon and use it, as well as being able to wield multiple weapons at the same time, pending they are one handed weapons of course.

Genius Meister- With his ability to perceive and analyze the functions and abilities of a weapon Chaz is able to pick up and wield most weapons with a basic level of proficiency right away, mastering the weapon in a much shorter time frame then normal.

Additional Abilities based on partner (specifically skill with their weapon)

Techniques:

Perfect Void- Chaz pushes his ability in the Oneness past its limits and creates a sphere within which he knows everything within, and which also slows time down for him mentally increasing his reaction time and allowing him to think things through more thoroughly in a fight. This also decreases the amount of time required for his Critical Eye to work. However this ability has multiple limits, the first of which is its range. Without having his Weapon(s) with which to increase his control he can only extend this sphere to about 30' from his central core. Even with his Weapon(s) the reach is increased depending on the weapons range. However the absolute minimum range for this ability when augmented by a weapon is 45'. The second problem is that this ability shuts out everything outside of his sphere of influence, dampening the sights and sounds that could normally be heard. Note: an attack launched from outside the sphere that then enters it is just as easily avoided, if not easier to avoid, then one launched from inside the sphere due to it being detected at range.

Critical Strike- After Chaz has detected his opponents weakness with Critical Eye AND they are within his Perfect Void AND he has the means to hit his opponent with their weakness; Chaz can deliver a nearly undodgeable and unblockable attack that deals massive damage and more likely then not ends the fight. Of course this takes time, preparation, and opportunity and is usually held back as a last resort as if it fails the enemy can generally adjust to the attack.

Further techniques to be based on Partner(s).

Equipment: Chaz keeps a music player and multiple sets of headphones, as well as his wallet, watch, small multi-tool (think leathermen), and a gold chain necklace on him at all times. When given time to prepare for a mission Chaz will also put on a vest and carry; water(Half a gallon), food (Both snack food and nutrition bars), a palmbook (Palm sized notebook), 2 pencils, 1 pens, a compass, some basic first aid supplies (bandage roll, gauze pad, antiseptic/cleaning agent), a flashlight (battery), and a book. The vest, although sturdy is not combat rated and is usually removed before combat, to be retrieved later.

Personality: Although somewhat friendly, helpful, and compassionate Chaz generally keeps to himself, only really hanging out with his partner(s); and even then he usually hangs in the background thinking about combat. He can sometimes fall into what he calls a 'Dark mood' during which he is somewhat volatile and irritable. When this happens he usually goes off on his own to cool off and reset, or starts destroying something. He will usually find something that needs to be destroyed.

However, during combat all he will ignore his emotions and focus on the task at hand.

History:
Chaz was Born in Death City 16 years ago and lived a relatively normal life until Asura broke out of the ground during the Anniversary when he was injured and his dad was killed by a crumbling building. Not only that, but his mother was driven insane by the sudden release of the madness wavelength coupled with the death of her husband. The next couple years of his life, during which his mom committed suicide, was him pushing himself to the limits of his physical and mental capabilities and beyond so that he could become a Meister, a goal he accomplished when he was fourteen and invited to the DWMA. It wasn't long until he was put in the EAT class and was going on missions. He has been training hard and been going on mission after mission since then. Chaz keeps a gold chain necklace and a beat up wrist-watch with him at all times as mementos of his parents, and anyone who messes with either often end up injured.

Chaz woke up with his alarm going off at precisely 5 in the morning. After shutting the alarm off he got up and made sure that everything important was where it was supposed to be. Watch? Check. Necklace? Check. Leatherman? Check. Wallet? Check. He then got up, put on his workout clothes, and went to the his basement/gym to do his morning workout.

Chaz started out with his "Body Weight" training which in reality included quite a bit more weight than just his body weight. He had grown past that stage a long time ago. Chaz grabbed his heaviest weight vest for today's workout and the started with the one handed pillar push-ups, after doing 500 reps with one hand he switched hands and did another 500 reps. From there he did pull-ups (one handed of course), crunches, high jumps, long jumps, jumping jacks, and a number of other various exercises. Half an hour later, when he was done with the weight training he switched to training his agility training, followed by half an hour of running on a treadmill.

Chaz finished up his training at about 6:30 and went and took a shower, fixed himself a quick breakfast, and at 6:50 left and started the 2 Mile long run to the DWMA. He hoped he got a difficult mission today instead of having to sit through classes that he already knew. He didn't mind some of them, even he had started to notice the girls, but for the most part the missions provided the experience he wanted so that he could get stronger.

Personality: A biker through and through, Amy possesses the distinct ne'erdowell personality that delinquents the world over seem to wear like a badge of honor, but at the same time has a laid-back openness that makes her hard to hate. She's very open and accepting of people (except Witches) and doesn't usually get angry or judgmental (except towards Witches), preferring instead to relax and have fun (read as: avoid hard work). However she's also fiercely loyal, and while there aren't many things that make her angry, her temper is hair-trigger, and she'll often go from zero to sixty in two seconds flat. If you pick a fight with her or her friends, expect her to make it into something personal.
History: A bōsōzoku-style delinquent and ex-member of the Hells' Witches outlaw biker gang turned DWMA student. No one really knows what crime landed her in jail and what grace of the new Shinigami-sama saved her, but because of her past history it seems like she has an irrational distrust of Witches, and doesn't like to talk about what happened in those days. She still wears her Hell's Witches denim jacket, but with the patch torn off the arm and the design on the back crossed out.

While she carries herself with the unpolished form of an MMA streetfighter, more accustomed to bare-knuckle brawls than gunfights and not strictly adhering to any one school or philosophy besides "keep hitting them/hit them harder", she knows her way around a fight well enough to match a 1-star Meister (a typical EAT student) on her own without a partner.

• Transform (Wheels): Amy partially transforms, turning her feet into tires for high-speed movement.
• Transform (Tail Pipe): Amy partially transforms, gaining tail pipes jutting out of her arms, legs or back that belch fire and smoke.
• Burning Rubber! : Amy belches exhaust fumes to create a temporary smokescreen.
• Death's Head! : Fully transformed, Amy launches herself and her Meister into the air on a jet of smoke and slams into an enemy's head wheel-first, knocking them to the ground. For a truly vicious finisher, she pumps the gas and grinds their face against the pavement.

Raw Strength: Dorian is massive, and stronger even than his size would suggest. He prefers to use overpowering force to solve problems, and enhanced by his growing soul powers, Dorian's inhuman physique reaches heights undreamed of by mere mortals. His incredible strength and toughness allow him to remain effective even with a minimum of soul energy expenditure, and when he pulls out all the stops, he is able to compete with spells and monsters through sheer brute force.

Determination: While his constant training is more the result of enthusiasm than discipline, Dorian can be quite implacable when he sets his mind to something. As they said, hard work is also a talent, and whether it comes to learning new techniques or matching his soul wavelength up with someone new, Dorian will stubbornly grind it out until he's satisfied. In battle, he's liable to hang on until he's physically knocked out, and his personality type makes him less sensitive to madness.

Soul Sense: Dorian is still developing his sixth sense, but he's not completely talentless. Still requires actively trying to see other people's souls.

Techniques:
Soul Edge: While not a genius of soul manipulation by any stretch, Dorian has figured out a few handy tricks to help capitalize on his natural talents. Manifesting a tiny edge or field of soul energy across a small part of his body or an object he is wielding, he is able to take full advantage of his physical strength and toughness when attacking or defending against supernatural forces. With greater energy expenditure, this technique allows Dorian to vastly increase the range of his attacks.

Personality:
Dorian is a simple, straightforward guy - too straightforward, according to many of his teachers. In his mind, strength and tenacity are a man's greatest virtues, and any problem can be overcome with enough time and effort. While this attitude lends itself to an admirable work ethic, many find him rather obnoxious in his insistance on pushing himself and everyone around him to the limit at every turn, not to mention that studying until you literally fall asleep where you sit isn't all that great for retention. As a meister, he fulfills the minimum requirements in terms of soul perception and wavelength sensitivity, but he relies heavily on his monstrous strength to get him through fights. Though he isn't stupid enough to actively neglect his meister training, he spends much more time working out than studying or practising combat.

Additionally, Dorian has something of an obsession with manliness - taking setbacks like a man, owning up to his responsibilities like a man, and so on. He is dutiful to a fault, and sticks to his word almost blindly - not out of compassion, but out of bullheaded devotion to his ideals. Well aware of his own weakness, he hates to make promises, but if he does give his word on anything, he will typically feel compelled to keep it no matter what. Unless he knows he's being deliberately mislead, and sometimes even if he does, breaking even an insignificant promise will have him unable to sleep for days - instead spending his nights benching railway cars in the local junkyard.

History:
Dorian's early life was a thoroughly uninteresting affair. He had the occasional meister and weapon in his extended family, and his own soul potency didn't come as a great surprise. Where he had once been intended to take over the family business - a gym, of course - he set out on the path of the weapon meister with no hesitation. If nothing else, because it allowed him to lift like he had never lifted before.

Supporting NPCs:
Flint and Benjamina Temple - Parents, both of them upbeat fitness instructors with similarly single-minded attitudes to Dorian. Both of them are highly supportive of his career choice, and will insist that constant battle and mortal danger build character. Pain is only weakness leaving the body!

Old Tom - Crotchety old man who owns a junkyard just outside of Death City, where Dorian works part-time. Occasionally dispenses sage but cynical life advice. Don't trust anyone who trusts you.

Sample Post:
"3001... 3002... 3003... Oh, what's the point? How many one-finger vertical push ups can you do before it doesn't even matter anymore. I'm just pumping my arms full of blood - at this rate, I'm gonna end up looking like some kinda body builder," Dorian lamented to himself, as he used his free hand to shove a fistful of fried eggs into his mouth. Sighing deeply, he mumbled unintelligible lamentations through the eggs.

The Shibusen gym had some of the heaviest weights Dorian had ever seen, and a good range of equipment, from simple free weights to machines he didn't even know how to use. Sadly, they didn't allow eating in the actual gym, so using it for his breakfast workout was right out. He had tried to explain that he couldn't possibly fry and eat five dozen eggs, complete his workout routine and make it to class on time unless he could eat and work out at the same time. He really wished he hadn't challenged the instructor's use of the word 'literally' when he threatened to throw him out.

In other words, he was resigned to doing glorified calisthenics in the kitchen, next to the world's saddest stack of fried eggs. All he had to look forward to was homework, a shift at the junkyard, and the eventual possibility of finding a weapon to pair up with. At least there was no one to complain about him hogging all the weights or monologuing too loudly.

Partner: Kiora Trennor

At first glance, Kiora and Dorian are not an obvious matchup, either physically or mentally. One lives for pleasure and the other for work, but they somehow manage to resonate. Together they make a competent team, although their tactical decisions may not always mesh.

She normally has a cloak that looks like bat wings. Her wardrobe, while not near as scanty as that of Blair's, doesn't exactly let you forget that she's nearly a full-grown woman.

Abilities:
Shapechange: Technically speaking, Kiora has three forms. Humanoid, her animal form, and her weapon form. This ability allows her to transform between the three, swapping out the abilities and skills of one for those of the other. Her human form can manifest parts of itself as a simple shortbow, allowing her to fight, her animal form (that of a bat) can fly, and her weapon form is that of a longbow, suitable for a Meister to wield. She can only use her magic in human or animal form.

Vision Check: Kiora can close her eyes, shifting from ordinary vision to echolocation. Its range is limited to 30 feet, and it cannot discern colors. Visual illusions/paintings and the like are invisible. While wielding her, the Meister gains the same skill.

Point-Blank-Bashing: Kiora's forward edge is bladed, allowing for combat in melee that's at least as effective as using a scythe to fight.

Magic: Sonic
While not quite as magically able as Blair, Kiora's magic falls into the domain of sonic and sound manipulation.

The sonogenetic is a good singer. Go figure.

Ataraxia
Kiora's positivity gives her a uniquely strong, madness resistant soul. Emotional trauma can drop this resistance.

Techniques/Magic:
Just Keep Firing: HAIL OF ARROWS!
Kiora's wielder nocks 6 energy arrows at once, firing them into the air. They burst outward, targeting everyone close by.

Back Off: SUPERSONIC PULSE!
After yelling the incantation, Kiora slams her hand forward, sending out a blast of unfocused sonic energy. It won't do much damage, but it will stagger the strong and send the weak flying backward. Her Meister can use this technique as well as a form of alterate fire.

Why Can't Anyone Aim? Homing Arrow!
For the accuracy impaired Meister, Kiora's arrows can home after a target with sufficient focus. There are some important limitations: Only one arrow can be fired at a time, the Meister must be free of madness, and no other technique can be used while it's active.

Soul Resonance:
Dependent on Meister

Equipment: Since she needs to be able to shapeshift, she doesn't really carry that much gear, nor does she wear much armor, relying on her magic to keep her safe. That being said, she carries a basic field kit including first aid gear.

Personality: "Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we may die. That'd suck."
Full of joie de vivre and just happy to be here, Kiora's all about enjoying life. She's always got a smile on her face and a song in her words, her attitude one of definite Epicureanism. Life's full of pleasures, and refusing to enjoy them is a greater sin to her than most others. That being said, she's not a total hedonist: you've got to stay inside your limits and keep yourself healthy, or you won't be able to have a good time later. Nothing ruins a Saturday like a hangover from Friday night, or having a headache because you didn't get enough sleep.

She's a little too young to have reached the meditative peace most Epicureans strive for, but she's definitely no worrier.

History: "Welcome to Deathbucks! Please try the Shinigami Roast, we've got a positively killer deal on it right now!"
Where exactly monster animals like Blair and Kiora come from isn't exactly known, and Kiora's not likely to be a help with it anytime soon-she tends to find talking about her past overly much to be useless, and the fact that she was unintentionally adopted by two human parents means she doesn't really know about it anyway. In any event, her childhood was as ordinary as can be expected for a girl who flows between two forms as easily as water poured from a square glass into a round one. Which is to say, not ordinary at all--but after several angry calls to the adoption agency, her parents tried their best despite being totally unprepared for the trials of a monster child, including but not limited to: transforming a closet into a bat roost, taking their ten year old daughter to swamps so she could catch mosquitos, and changing their sleep schedule nearly daily until she managed to get her shapechanging fully under control.

Maybe it was this love, despite the effort, that led to her positive outlook on life.

In comparison to her turning out to be a bat mage, her puberty-unlocked weapon form seemed positively normal, the only comment from her father being a deadpan "As long as we don't have to build a target range, I'm fine with this." If anything, they seemed happy that their daughter actually had something to do other than work at Deathbucks or attempt to convince a normal college to build a bat roost. She tested into the EAT class, and has been schooled at the academy ever since.

Supporting Characters:
James Trennor: Her father and chief deadpan snarker, Kiora's father hasn't always known how to deal with his teenage daughter. But he's her eternal ally and there's no doubt that he loves her.
Elizabeth Trennor: When she first stepped into the adoption agency, Kiora's soon-to-be mother didn't exactly expect her only daughter to turn into a bat a week later. But she's adapted, and now their family would seem wrong without the weirdness.
That Agency Bitch: TAB is a reticent, bureaucratic woman Kiora's dealt with multiple times in her search for her true origins. As of yet, she's never succeeded in getting a straight answer out of her.

Backstory

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon USA the youngest of three children. The only one to manifest abilities for soul perception in generations. As a preteen girl with uncanny abilities to sense souls, her eyes were set on joining Death Weapon Meister Academy if not only for higher education but the pull of excitement and glory. Her parents are simple realtors, middle class family. In the startling new era of peace, her parents hadn’t expected to have a meister in the family. They were terrified for her safety they initially forced her to join NOT classes, Lacey garnered some resentment for their insistence in spite of their good intentions. Lacey was too young to truly understand the threat the Kishin had posed, while her parents were well aware of what lurked behind the black blood. The era of peace was only afforded after Madness had held the future in its palm.

At the age of 13, in the first year of her NOT classes Lacey struggled to find a weapon partner while she worked tirelessly honing her body for combat, learning early on she was built for speed and not strength. She focused on taking freerunning classes and hand-to-hand combat. She roomed with a prodigy EAT student named Vanessa Amsel, set to graduate a little early. Amsel initially took young Lacey under her wing, helping her adjust to the new school and swing of things. Unfortunately their friendship crumbled shortly after Lacey found weapon partners. Amsel moved on after graduation, joining international DWMA teams and missions.

Lacey’s soul wavelength was often toted to be the problem with potential partners. Omitting the cause of clashing personalities, weapons would comment on how strange or how it felt as if they were trying to synchronize with more than one soul, much to Lacey’s dismay.

It wasn’t until the exams and final cuts for NOT students entering EAT classes when the pressure increased, potentially forcing Lacey to remain in NOT for another semester. While there were twin brothers who struggled with a similar problem, due to their unique polar opposite soul wavelengths they were incredibly picky in who could handle not just one brother but both at the same time.

Henry and Peter Halloway were originally designated to EAT classes individually until they decided they were more effective together. With the looming threat of being demoted back down to NOT classes for lack of a partner they took a leap of faith with Lacey Malta. Miraculously their souls synchronized and from then on became partners.

For the past three years, the three of them have been living in an apartment in Death City. Working part time jobs, juggling school and international missions to collect evil souls. Two hundred souls weren’t going to collect themselves.

Lacey studied as well as she could, not the brightest student in the class but holding an average grade overall. While in combat she is ruthlessly quick to start and end fights. Tirelessly she trained day in and day out, took to running to school preferring to vault across rooftops than catch a ride with the twins.

It surprised her, as well as her partners when they were pulled to join the AEGIS initiative. Lacey teetered on the decision, knowing the challenges would be upped exponentially but it would ultimately be challenging.

Unbeknownst to Lacey, dormant secrets lie within her oddly shaped soul. A soul containing generations of history.

Abilities/Skills:

Minimal Soul Perception:
Lacey can sense human souls within a small building. Very limited to location.

Survival Skills:
Lacey specializes in wilderness survival. Able to reasonably survive in hostile environments from building shelters, foraging for food and water, and basic navigation skills (i.e reading a map, following a compass, etc).

First Aid Training:
Trained and educated in first aid response.

Parkour/Freerunning:
Among the first skills she learned when she joined DWMA, incorporates it in her fighting style. Fast, adaptive, and moves like no wall is too steep to climb.

Stamina Training
Focuses her training around being faster and lasting longer than anyone she faces in a fight. It’s on-going training, goals set for adding a second or two extra to her reaction and reflex time.

Misc Skills - Great Dancer:
Loves contemporary and interpretative dance, took classes hoping to improve balance. She stuck with it as a fun hobby.

Techniques:

Soul Lasso:
When Peter and Henry have sensed a soul for its magnetic alignment they can be thrown around their target to create a lasso for Lacey to pull. Depending on the strength of the soul, (if it is resonating, large in general, or witch’s soul) would affect her ability to pull them, stronger souls require higher soul resonance.

Magnet Push
A full force of a push against the target's soul directly. Meant to push the target off their feet, in stronger souls meant to throw them off balance.

Magnet Pull:
An undirected pull, similar to Soul Lasso but primarily for crowd control. Similar application as Magnet Push.

Soul Resonance Technique - Complete the Circuit:
Fully synchronized with her weapon partners, they affectionately dub it Complete the Circuit. Their weapon forms grow in size, begin to glow and with immense concentration, practice and honing of skill they are able to project a magnetic field as Lacey's soul swells in size. Their techniques become more powerful, strong souls they weren't able to budge before now resist a noticeable pull/push on their soul.

Experimental Technique - Static Shield
An experimental technique the three of them have been working on. The Static Shield can be described as a soul charge crackling across Lacey’s body. By quickly pushing and pulling against Lacey’s soul in a strange inverse soul resonance they create a static charge around her body to protect from stray projectiles, rough falls, and restraints. In its current form they can roughly get her entire body outlined but it drains Lacey’s stamina.

Backstory

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Indiana USA one of twins. His weapon abilities manifested first while his brother's came shortly after at the age of 12. An awkward first couple of years adjusting to the magnetic pulls and pushes of his abilities, before too long him and his brother were sent to DWMA to learn to control their new powers. His parents encouraging for their development. It was after their first year of attending DWMA that their mother passed away in her sleep due to a unfortunate aneurysm caused by blood thinning medication, when a fall resulted in a unchecked ruptured vein in her brain. Her death was abrupt, and gave the twins no chance to say goodbye. The completely preventable causes of her death simply rubbed salt in the wound.

Initially after recovering from the loss of their mother they separated to learn about themselves on their own, Peter showed detail orientated intelligence and picked up studying weapon lineages with interest. In the first few years working with different partners they really grew as people and individuals. Their differences growing more stark each year, but never once straining their bond as twins. It wasn't until they decided to come back together, finding their effectiveness was exponentially upped when they fought together. The difficulty became very apparent when they had a terrible time to find a partner to suit their strange needs.

A last chance and final partner matchup brought up young freshman Lacey Malta into their lives. Initially Peter was less than impressed, he saw hard work and being forced to listen to a headstrong freshman. In the years they worked together as partners things began rather rocky, Peter often butted heads with Lacey. Their teasing testing her patience at every comment. Peter found his middle ground with her when Lacey split from a toxic friendship with Vanessa Amsel. When Peter saw her vulnerable, it inspired a protective streak in him for Lacey. Peter grew to be close friends with her from that point on. In her hands they were a team, Peter trusted not only his life but the life of his brother with her.

Ever since arriving to Death City Peter showed an intense interest in vintage cars and had a knack for working on engines in his spare time. He was hired at a local mechanic's shop part time as an apprentice. From there they dragged in a shell of a 1968 Ragtop Chevy Camaro telling him that was his project. Peter worked night and day on that car, scraping together his meager paychecks to save and afford the parts he needed. He replaced leather upholstery, did custom paint jobs, and rebuilt the engine from scratch. When it was complete he had his full driver's licence and drives it everywhere. Often totes it as his favourite place to be.

While he learned about gutting cars he also explored his sense of style and fashion. He takes great pride in his style. Hopes to instill some of that sense onto his twin, but knows such self awareness might be too lofty a goal.

In the years presiding their partnership, Peter, Henry and Lacey moved into an apartment together.

An experimental technique the three of them have been working on. The Static Shield can be described as a soul charge crackling across Lacey’s body. By quickly pushing and pulling against Lacey’s soul in a strange inverse soul resonance they create a static charge around her body to protect from stray projectiles, rough falls, and restraints. In its current form they can roughly get her entire body outlined but it drains Lacey’s stamina.

Peter has a sharp mouth on him, very observant in and out of a fight. In conjunction with Lacey's bluntness they can make a brutal pair in an argument or debate. His flirtatious nature can sometimes come off rather corny at times, but his string of past relationships both starting and ending in healthy ways really spoke volumes more of his ability to be a rather considerate in a relationship. His interest in weapon lineage, cars and fashion round out his life outside of the Academy. A good head on his shoulders with the discipline to see through collecting one hundred souls.

Henry Halloway stands at a tall 6'1" dips an inch because of his slouch, a little pudge on his stomach, his fingertips are often dry and rough from finger picking while playing the guitar. Weighing in at around 165 lbs. His hair long and straight, dips down to his lower back. Often keeps it down but loves to occasionally braid it or put it up in a bun. Chooses to wear contact lenses instead of glasses. His style is often clothing he dug through at a thrift store save for the band shirts he collects from a concert or scrounges up used. Backstory

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Indiana USA one of twins. His weapon abilities manifested a little after his brother's, at the age of 12. Henry was nervous about moving so far away from home, afraid he'd be separated indefinitely from his twin. In the first year some his fears were answered when their mother passed away. Their mother’s passing cut deeply, Henry grew more nervous and much more difficult to convince a split up from his twin brother was really a good course of action. Afraid he'd lose the chance to say goodbye to him too.

Freedom to have time to himself and a meister partner helped Henry open up, helped him grow outside of his crutch that was depending on his brother.

In his grief found himself taking comfort of their mother's passing in studying Pneumatology, the study of the soul. A subject usually reserved for meisters to know but Henry had taken to it with great interest. Without Peter there to constantly nag him over how he dressed or how he groomed himself, Henry quite literally let those things go. Choosing a laid back lifestyle to match his attitude. He was never a huge fan of combat training, or athleticism. Instead he focused on his grades. Some would call him a couch potato but his mind was as sharp as some of the top grading students in EAT classes, and the test scores showed for it.

It became clear as the challenges in EAT classes grew Henry on his own wasn't nearly as effective as he could be in a fight. His twin brother came to this same conclusion where they decided to work together as a team with one meister. When they first met Lacey, Henry felt first impressions weren't nearly as good as they could be. When Lacey proved to have a compatible soul, Henry's initial attitude did a 180. He encouraged her to continue training, helping her study and she did the same for him. Showing him low intensity work outs that would help him keep up in a fight without getting winded.

While outside of school Henry started working part time at a music shop, learning to play the guitar and really expanding his tastes in music.

Moving in with Peter and Lacey again felt right to him, Henry enjoyed living with his brother again and Lacey was a generally considerate roommate. Though neither Peter nor Lacey could cook worth anything often leaving that chore to Henry.

Henry is on the sensitive side, astutely aware of other people's moods and shifts. Though not enough to get in the way of Peter and Lacey's more abrasive personality traits. They agree on most things but will pull either of them aside to set a record straight if need be. Content to go with the flow until someone tries to control or restrict his ability to learn. Can't stand authority figures, shows to have a snarky side when he feels like he's being leashed. He does take advantage of the immense resources that DWMA offers its students, but his outward appearance would suggest otherwise his knowledge base is subpar. He loves to prove those assumptions wrong.

-Lacey Meets the Twins-

Lacey stood fidgeting outside Professor Jekyll's office door. She knew on the other side sat her last chance of getting into EAT classes this semester. The pressure was mounting on the two weapons Jekyll had personally chosen for her. Lacey wanted to prove that she had the potential to be something great, someone successful in what she choose to do. Huffing up her chest, she straightened her shoulders, stepping through the door to see the two weapons sitting in front of Jekyll’s desk.

They turned simultaneously and regarded her with disappointment. One wore glasses and cropped his hair short and stylish. While the other on the left had an incredible amount of long brown hair she could hardly see his eyes through all the hair. They stood up at the same time and folded their arms in unison.

The difference was stark in their outfits and personalities before they even opened their mouths. The long-haired boy was wearing a worn out red flannel shirt with black buttons and a pair of stone washed jeans. The shirt he wore beneath it was a band shirt; it had a prism with a rainbow shining through. Lacey wasn’t entirely sure what it meant. The boy wearing glasses was wearing dark grey dress pants and a vest matching the colour of his pants, with a dark blue tie. His dress shirt was black with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

Professor Jekyll stood as well and introduced them, “Lacey, please meet Henry.” Jekyll pointed to the boy with long hair, “and Peter Halloway.” He motioned to the boy wearing glasses, “Twin brothers and twin daggers. Henry, Peter this is Lacey Malta, meister.”

“It’s a pleasure to make your-” She stuck out her right hand and was interrupted.

“Malta? You named yourself after a cartoon character? What a typical freshmen.” They shrugged again, in unison.

“It was the first thing I could think of.” She replied a tad bit defensively.

“Poor choice, obviously.” Peter tsked and turned to address Jekyll, “A freshmen? That’s all ya got?”

“Lacey, the brothers are a little older. They’ve collected a few souls on their own but when they switched partners they had to give up what they collected to start fresh.” The professor sat again, folding his large hands over the desktop. “They are reasonably good students and obviously have some experience.”

She nodded and hesitated as she closed the office door behind her.

“I feel they would be a good match to help you catch up in class and guide you in combat.” Jekyll finished smiling pleasantly.

Henry spoke up this time, “That’s assuming a bit. Who knows if we’ll even get along with the pipsqueak? She’s so small.”

She crossed her arms and gave them both a hard look, “That’s among my strengths. I am small and agile.”

Peter scoffed, “Compared to what? A falling brick?”

Jekyll supplied before she could reply, “Lacey has excelled at free running and she is among the fastest freshmen. Someone I believed would compliment dual wielding daggers such as yourselves.”

“Speed won’t account for much if she can’t think for herself.” Henry commented dryly.

She fumed, “I’m smart enough to tell that this meet and greet has already taken a nosedive.”

“Well then eager beaver, since you’re so sure that this won’t work out. We’ll take the only test we’ll need to do.” Peter suggested and Jekyll sighed in response.

“What test?” She asked wringing out her hands.

“The touch test.” The twins said in unison, holding out their hands palms up.

Peter explained, “It’s how we tell whether your soul has any potential. We skip a lot of the stages and processes.”

She rolled her eyes, “You can’t honestly expect me to agree to this silly-”

“The only thing you have to offer to the table is a lot of hard work, freshman. We need to know it’ll be worth it. This is how we figure it out, our hands and a single touch will create a circuit. If it’s smooth and uninterrupted that means you have some potential.” Peter cut her off.

“Circuit?” She turned to Jeykll waiting for an explanation.

He sighed again, “These two aren’t only daggers they are kind of like soul magnets. They claim to sense positive and negative charges of the soul.” He shrugged. “I’ve never seen them in action or act like magnets. Just play along.”

“This is stupid, professor!” She hissed, “How are these two supposed to be my last chance to get into EAT if they don’t even like me?” She pressed a hand to her chest.

“Wow, judgmental.” The twins said in unison, irritation growing in the girl’s expression. Their synchronization was starting to get on her nerves.

“Okay, fine. You know what, first impressions aren’t everything. Despite how abrasive you guys are being right now, I know you need my help as much as I need yours.” She replied a tad smug, the twins exchanged a look and she knew they weren’t convinced she was even worth the time. For a last chance, Jekyll wasn’t going to make this easy.

“So, what do I do?” She asked.

“Just with one finger you touch both our hands at the same time.” Henry replied unfolding his hand.

“Piece of cake.” She said reaching out. The twins rolled their eyes in response and were clearly not expecting what happened next.

Gently, she poked both of their palms and was about to comment sarcastically about how dry their hands were but before she could even begin to form the words she was shot off her feet, thrown out the door to the opposite wall.

Lacey landed haphazardly and saw stars. She put both my hands on the ground, trying to see straight. It happened all too fast. She mumbled the comment she had ready and blinked out of sync.

She saw several different shoes, heard a ton of voices, all of which sounded concerned. She was lifted by her arms suddenly then found herself back on her wobbly feet. Her head spun, barely able to discern who was speaking.

“That’s never happened before!” She heard someone whisper excitedly.

Another person replied begrudgingly, “It had to be the freshman.”

“Who cares? We’ve never gotten a reaction like that before!” The first voice argued.

“Lacey!” Professor Jekyll took hold of her face, forcing her to focus.

She smiled deliriously, “Did I pass?”

“We’re heading into physical testing stage tomorrow. These two will take you to see the nurse.” He replied.

“Cool. Super cool.” She mumbled as the twins continued to chatter excitedly, dragging her to the nurse’s office.

Appearance

Missy is a nice cute young girl, with long blue hair and sea green eyes. She is perky, having a light tan like she had always been on the beach. Normally seen wearing what could be considering dress code school uniform (kind of like Maka) most of the time. Other times she can be seen wearing various skirts or dresses more than anything else.

Missy's Weapon form is a rather unique form, considered a battle suit. Causing her form to be more personal attachment for herself, because of her young girl mind. When she transforms she covers her Meister becoming a somewhat thin layer of resistant clothing nearly completely covering her Meister. The Suit's color and form is affected by her Meister's own soul wavelength when they team up for the first time.

Example of suit, though doesn't look exactly like this

Abilities:

• Soul wavelength Manipulation: By Manipulating her own Soul's wavelength at an exhausting rate or along with her Meister's she can create small defenses or weapons from their soul energy. These weapons cannot extend to far from the body and must stay connected to the body in order to work. Same with the defenses.

• Martial Arts: Like most members of her family, Missy was thought various martial arts from as soon as she could start learning. While she is clumsy at times she managed to learn a thing or two from her training back home.

Techniques:

• Soul Claws: Expanding her and/or her Meister's soul wavelength she creates claws on their hands and feet allowing them to fight with their entire body.

• Soul Spike: Expanding their soul wavelength, can jut a small spike out from their body, from either their shoulders, elbows, knees, or hip.

• Soul Armor: By covering their body in a very thin layer of their soul wavelength, it can protect from very basic type of attacks from directly harming them, but this doesn't stop the shock wave from the attacks. essentially it reduces the impact and turns attacks into blunt hits instead of possible blades. Yet it can't protect from everything, some attacks will easily break through.

• Soul Shield: By concentrating the entirety of the soul armor into one area it forms into a shield like shape, this requiring a lot more concentration and exhausts the user at a higher rate, but by doing so can protect from attacks soul armor is useless against, but only for a limited time.

• Soul Resonance
  
  • Heat Suit: By soul Resonance the battle suit form would become stronger changing shape slightly to be more bulky and allowing it to take hits a lot easier without soul armor, and causes where close contact with the suit would burn others. Just like how a Meister's hands will burn if they try to wield a weapon that their soul wavelengths are to far apart from.

Equipment: Besides her clothes, Missy carries a school bag that normally holds her school supplies, along with a small knife she uses to defend herself because of how exhausting her abilities are without her Meister.

Personality: Missy is normally seen as a kind, sweet, slightly nervous girl. Who has been branded clumsy from how she tends to trip a lot, normally with stuff in her hands like drinks which she spills over her Meister by accident. But when she gets in a fight, her personality does a complete 180, and instead of being the kind, sweet, nervous girl, she becomes a battle hardened women who desires to fight, to win, becoming very competitive against others, while also becoming somewhat mean thanks to her attitude change.

History: Missy has been an outcast for most of her life, most of her family of weapons was different from her. They had forms like bladed knuckles, or gauntlet claws. But she was the only one different, She gained the form that one of her ancestors once had but hadn't appeared in her family for generations. When she gained her weapon abilities her family was disappointed in her because of her form not being like that of the rest of her families, making them wonder if she really is their child. She decided to run away, to DWMA in hopes that she could get a fresh start and find a Meister she can call as her partner.

Appearance: Loki is a slim, lanky teen with pitch black, shaggy hair that fades into snow white at the bottoms. He shares many of the same traits as death gods, including the golden eyes and porcelain skin. His hair covers his right eye and beneath the left is a tattoo that stands as insignia of his creator. His attire consists of a baggy black sweater, white undershirt, black pants, home-made sneakers and a death pendant he wears as a tie of some sort.
Abilities:

• Multi-Weapon utility: Loki has the ability to resonate with multiple weapons at once, allowing him to duel wield powerful souls and release devastating attacks through soul resonance. This ability arises from his naturally accepting nature, allowing him to seamlessly fall into the rhythm of another’s soul.

• Magic- Inscribed: As a demon tool soldier, Loki has a large amount of magical energy which he can manipulate in a similar way to a witch though on a smaller scale. His specific magic, Inscribe, allows him to understand languages and decipher information, downloading it into his mind for future use. This magic allows him to cast any spell he’s seen in books at a much lesser potency.

• Death Techniques: As a being with death’s power, Loki has the potential to use techniques specifically tailored to Shinigami. Unlike Shinigami however, his nature as a demon tool soldier causes his techniques to be magical variants of the skills instead of true death god abilities.

• Death god Taijutsu: A fighting style created by and for the gods of death. This style of combat changes based on the stance a person takes which redirects the focus and power of the user’s attacks for whatever the situation calls for.. Though never being formally taught, Loki has seen it in action and has made a point to try and make his own version of the art that focuses on his magical capabilities as a demon tool soldier.

• Physiology: Like most demon tools, Loki has incredible physical capabilities. He’s incredibly fast, durable, requires little rest and is incredibly strong. Due to him being created with part of death’s power, he can also stretch his arms to deliver powerful long range strikes and recover from attacks faster.

Techniques-

• Decipher: By using magic he can cause what is normally unreadable Text turn into a readable version in his eyes, changing its language to one he knows. This can cause mistranslations in most cases.

• Death God Taijutsu-
  
  • Defensive Stance: Order: A defensive stance that focuses on redistributing damage. The technique allows you to lessen the impact of incoming attacks by having a focus on parrying and redirecting attacks instead of blocking head on.
  • Offensive Stance: Assailant: A stance focusing on quick decisive blows. It’s highly unpolished but makes use of Loki’s physiology and speed.

• Death God Techniques; None

Equipment: An MP3 player with various songs, a dusty tome from his 'mother', and the death logo on his clothes.

Personality: Loki is a kind and soft hearted individual maybe because he was programmed to be a guardian of sorts. Much like a normal death god, he has a desire to keep order and hates the sight of injustice. This soft heartedness often causes people to assume he is naive which he totally is. He doesn’t know much of the world but has decided to learn for his own sake. Despite his desire to learn however, Loki has a few ounces of timidness inside him and can be wary even when it’s unwarranted.

History: In an attempt to create a guardian for the city. The AARI decided to work off of Eibon’s notes to create a demon tool soldier capable of handling any task that might befall Death City. To do so, they set out to create a demon tool soldier with it’s own soul that was self sustaining and resistant to madness. They decided that to achieve such a feat required a large amount of magical power and an innate power of order, one of which they could handle simply by tampering with the normal means of Demon Tool creation but the power of order would be something they needed a special ingredient.

And so Lord Death gave a piece of himself up. Much like his father, he separated a fraction of himself to replicate his humanity and desire for justice, adding a small piece of his power to the Demon Tool. The magic inside the creature propagated the Death God’s power, causing a chain reaction like evolution.

What came from this reaction was a free willed demon tool with a powerful soul and a kind heart. Loki

He was strong and durable with a passion for saving others right from the beginning. He was instilled with love and empathy but had no idea what he was. When he asked, the scientists explained his duties and began his conditioning, working day after day to improve his magical capabilities and reaction time. He had only been alive for a few months before Lord Death came to check on his progress. He asked Loki how he was doing, checked on his condition and treated him more like a person than the scientists at the AARI. One day, Lord Death asked Loki what he thought of humanity and Loki, despite always having a certain warmth about him, didn’t know how to answer beyond “I like them”. Lord Death smiled and gave Loki a new mission.

“Go and know humanity”

For the first time, Loki was given a mission and he was going to succeed no matter what. The free willed Demon Tool Soldier was sent to the DWMA, ready and willing to learn everything he needed to to protect the city.

Loki's Day

Loki would wake up early like he normally does, having gotten use to the time table he has had to keep since he was born. As he sat up in bed he would stretch to try and wake up his sleeping arm from the night before. Loki would get up and start his morning training, moving into his stances as if he was fighting an invisible enemy. Normal mental practice for any kind of fighting style. After finishing up his training he would get a shower before getting dressed. Today was a first for Loki, the day he would be allowed to enter DWMA.

Normally Loki would continue the day by reading his book, more training, or doing tests for the scientists, but thanks to Lord Death he could finally see the world. He had started to look up to Lord Death like a father, he wasn't sure who his father really was thanks to having been created. Many things was kept secret from him that he didn't even realize was being kept. He knew he was made to protect so Loki has devoted everything he can in order to be ready. He was highly nervous about entering DWMA but this was something Lord Death told him to do, so he steeled his resolve and made his was to the Academy.

Loki had learned he was supposedly suppose to be part of the EAT class, he wasn't so certain what this meant but he didn't care at this time. He was to team up with a weapon, this would be his first time meeting this person but who ever they are. Their suppose to be his partner for who knows how long. He was to get along with them and fight together, this caused him to get even more nervous as he begun to think about interaction with someone else besides the scientists or Lord Death. He had to stop along the way to DWMA in order to take a deep breath and clear his head. This was both for himself and for Lord Death so he had to be ready for anything he was asked, so he ascended the stairs towards the academy.

The supporting characters and sample post are required. Your character can list the Hells Witches as apart of her supporting characters, a gang leader, what have yous. That's up to you. Unless Amy lone wolf'd it and has nobody to call a friend or any sort of support. While the sample post is to give us an idea of what level of writing you're at and gives you a chance to write a mini intro for your character.
