@Polybius It is with heavy heart that I leave RPG. I love this hobby and the itch to get into a role play will always be there. Even when I try to limit myself to one RP, I always tend to branch out into more. I promised my wife 13 years ago that I would write a book. I am 62% complete, but I have very little time to write. When I do get time, I find myself working on Role Plays instead of my book.

My goal for the book is 100,000 words which is roughly 400 pages. I have 62,000 words written. I am very close and know I can do this. I just need to eliminate as many distractions as I can. This site is a HUGE distraction for me. This does not mean I won’t be on the site. I know myself and know it would be very difficult for me to stay away. I may read posts, but not get into an RP. You can PM me, but I will not get into the RPs themselves.

Apologies for the few RPs I had intended to get involved with and will not be able to continue.

@Gunther I understand completely. During the move I found four boxes of notebooks going back to middle school. The urge, and need to write is something I'm well familiar with my friend. I wish you the best of luck in your writing!

@Polybius I notice the RP is tagged as being open to new members. Is this accurate? I do remember you had a hard cap on the number of players before. :)

@Iuniper It has stalled for the moment, mostly due to me having to move my entire family on short notice. I am not sure about the other players. Might be time for a reboot or rewrite. I'm...coming to terms that I'm not the best GM when it comes to online-forum based stuff. I'm used to tabletop, that's where my experience comes from and I'm slowly learning the nuances of online play. I don't know to be honest if this is going to continue in it's current form. I'm not abandoning the world at all-I love it too much.

I hope your situation improves, that sounds stressful indeed. Similarly, most of my experience roleplaying is in tabletop, and it's much harder to really gauge the needs of a group and coordinate on dedicated RPG forums like this. In any case, I do really like this world, from what I've seen. It reminds me of the dreamland of Murakami's Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World mixed in with some Redon paintings mixed with a bit of Nabokov's weirder stuff and probably some novels I've not read and don't exist. It's neat!

Anyways, best of luck to you. If you decide to use this setting in some other form down the road, I'd be interested.
