Serbia

Allegiance: Triple Entente

Personality: Serbia is haughty, proud, and easily offended. He does not hesitate to bring up his noble lineage and historical strength, but he backs down quickly if threatened, though continued talks with his brother Montenegro have lead to him growing a bit of a spine and standing up for himself, especially against Austria and the Ottoman Empire, both of whom are hated by Serbia to an insane degree.

Serbia is very quiet when not agitated, but is very opinionated, his favorite words used to enter a conversation are "You're wrong". He also loves to argue, always sporting a smug sense of superiority as he does. When he is losing an argument or otherwise faced with a situation he cannot wriggle free of, he gnashes his teeth and yells, heading for the nearest exit he can find. The only person he enjoys spending time with is his brother Montenegro, and even then they don't talk much, instead staring at everyone who walks by and smoking heavily.

Serbia can be respectful when necessary, his tight-lipped attitude lending itself well to professional negotiations, but he avoids human contact when not necessary. He is deeply cynical about the world, and seems to make it his personal mission to bring everyone down.

Crossing Serbia does not lead to much of anything, he'll get angry and avoid looking at you, but that's not much different from what he usually does.

Likes: Serbia grudgingly loves his brother Montenegro, who was released from the Muslim yoke alongside him. He's also much more polite around Russia, his distant cousin.

Serbia likes cigars, smoking them religiously. Speaking of religion, Serbia is also deeply religious, carrying a cross on his neck at all times. He likes to drink, not stopping until he's drunk, and Serbia makes a mean drunk.

Other than that, Serbia doesn't like much.

Dislikes: AUSTRIA, THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE, France, Germany, Albania, America, Italy... Serbia's not exactly a social butterfly.

He also dislikes Catholicism (Heretical in his opinion), interference in the Balkans is another of Serbia's buttons that you shouldn't push. Attacks on Montenegro will lead to him entering a fury unlike any other, with plenty of screaming and even more sword-swinging.

Special Talents:
STEALTHY - As he rarely speaks or moves, Serbia can be incredibly hard to find when he doesn't wish to be found. His skills at eavesdropping are unparalleled, a skill that he uses to get dirt on his opponents with impunity. It's not uncommon for an introduction to lead to the response "Who's Serbia?", a fact that Serbia uses to his advantage.

Weaknesses:
DRUNK - Serbia cannot resist a good drink, and once drunk he becomes almost useless in every situation.

JACKASS - His personality causes him to drive away potential friends and alienate old ones.

PLUM CRAZY - He's just one step away from insanity, with a lack of empathy in all but few situations and a tenancy towards blind rage.

Familial Relationships: His brothers include Montenegro and Albania, he's also Russia's cousin.

Other: He's very confused as to his parenthood. He believes Byzantium is his father, though the Ottoman Empire is fairly certain he is Serbia's father.

France

France

Appearance: France makes a striking presence, tall and consistently dressed in flattering if not overly showy dresses. Her eyes are a bright jade, her hair jet black and smooth like silk, with a single stripe of grey being the only signs of her age. Her face is soft and yet edged enough to be perfect, with large lips and a mole under her left eye, but a jagged scar stretching from the top of her head to the top of her lip jarringly shoots down the right side of her face, almost impossible to ignore. She has similar scars covering the rest of her body, each one a story, most given by England in their long history together, but the facial scar is the only one she seems to notice, perhaps due to the one who had given it.

Allegiance: Entente

Personality: Haughty and proud, France is proud of her noble history and descent from both the Frankish Empire and Rome itself. She is dismissive of anyone of lower status then her, and even some higher than her. Her relationship with England is... complicated, though she's disdainful of his womanizing and pride, she is almost dangerously defensive of her "Beloved" and their relationship, she often attempts to string him along to fit her desires, using threats or seduction if he fails to follow.

France is proud of her long history of combat prowess, and isn't afraid to remind her enemies about the time when she fought them all and almost won. She knows her abilities well, and isn't afraid to use the threat of them as a deterrent. When angered, she begins using threat-laced innuendo and posturing in order to show her opponent how bad an idea it is to offend Europe's old guard.

Likes: England, Belgium, Russia, Canada, The United States, wine, a good song, liberalism, her colonies, the Pope, The Netherlands, the colors blue and red, love, other things associated with love that she'd rather not discuss, biking, hot air ballooning (She invented it), FREEDOM (A tenancy she passed on to the United States when she helped him get free from England.), respect shown to her or England.

Dislikes: Germany, Austria, Monarchies, tyranny, warfare, the fact that both Belgium and England have German kings, the color white (Monarchy bad!), the color gold (Monarchy very bad!), being made fun of for flying a white flag for a few years (It was a midlife crisis okay?), Protestantism.

Special Talent:
-COOKING, France is among the best cooks in the world, and she is able to make a ton of food, as long as she is around, nobody's going hungry.

Weaknesses:
-Don't mention retreating, it's not funny anymore. But yes, France knows when to fold them, sometimes a little too early. This comes as a result of her disastrous invasion of Russia, where she didn't retreat at all and it cost her the war. She's only trying to prevent a repeat.
-POLITICAL INSTABILITY, France is not the most mentally sound, quite a few times she's been broken completely by her own instability, most disastrously back in 1791.

Familial Relationships:
England is France's lover of choice, and with him, France has had two children, Canada and India. With Spain, she also had Haiti. And, though she tries to hide it, she has had one child with Germany... somehow, New Ireland in New Guinea. Among her other children include a veritable smorgasbord of countries in Africa and a few islands in the Caribbean.

Name: United States of America

Appearance:
See above. 6' 3" tall freedom eagle.

Allegiance:
Technically speaking, the Triple Entente, though it took a while for the US to get involved.

Personality:
This freedom eagle is very definitely full of himself. He believes that he is right, and knows most everything. Always makes a point of inserting his opinion wherever possible- because really, America's opinion carries weight. As the victor of the Spanish-American War in 1898, and the establishment of America to be a World Power, really, who would dismiss their opinion? However, America only does this- when he's present. Otherwise, he keeps to himself, trying to enforce a policy of isolationism, only interacting occasionally with a few people. Simply put- America thought it best to keep some distance between himself and all the other people.

America is also very self-centered. Generally, when considering anything someone else asks of him, he looks to himself and wonders- does this benefit me somehow. It's all about the gain, of something.

Enjoys keeping up his reputation, which is also very important, and so will go to great lengths for that as well. And, of course, keeping all things his safe and protected. No one double-crosses America, and gets away with it!

Likes:
Money, not dying, freedom, funny things, bravery.
Trade! Most definitely trade- gaining some sort of benefit from others is always fantastic. There's always something to be gained, even if you're giving a great deal.
Survival! America has had trouble with surviving before- in the early days, when Great Britain is in charge. Staying alive is on the tippy top list of priorities.
Freedom! There's nothing like doing what you want. Anyone who isn't free are scum, and those that are, those are friends. They are allies- they are worth associating with.
Fun! America loves fun, for as long as he isn't the butt of the joke. And even then, America kinda likes those jokes too. America sees humor in everything.
Honor! Courage! These are great things, and are to be rewarded greatly. It was through great courage and bravery that America fought free from the parentals- the UK. And as such, he's willing to applaud anyone and everyone who's got some balls.

Dislikes:
Not-freedom! If it's not more democratically-inclined, it's BAD. And frankly, America hates not-free. Communism, extreme socialism, authoritarians, fascists- America dislikes dealing with them on principle alone, and more besides!

Special Talent: There's really two
Mass manufacturing of decent quality! America's quite good at manufacturing large quantities of goods that are reliable and efficient, with only a small time taken to shift production from one set of things to another.
Ingenuity! America's fantastic at creating new things, fighting a different way, or combining different things together to be unusually beneficial!

Weaknesses:
Conspiracies are one. Things that might confuse him are halfway deadly- because he can become nearly gridlocked if properly confused with some major moral or mental conflict. Things grind to a halt if something's wrong with some sort of logic, and requires some sort of revelation to break free of.
Surprise attacks. America's never been on the ball about attacking first, and so leaves themselves open to being attacked or targeted first. The only way to negate this is to really piss off America, or to have something America really, really wants.
Burst damage. America can mass manufacture a great deal of things, and has so much resources and industry that small-scale attacks, or trying to wear America down is halfway useless. A shock to the system with a sudden, short-term high-effect attack or the like is most effective, because it's hardest to recover from, and can shock America into uselessness for a short time.

Familial Relationships:
Darth Vader is the United Kingdom/Great Britain. However, America's on good terms with the formerly tyrannical parental. There's lots of trade, and America has built up a good relationship.
Other friendly nations are some of those colonies that he's associated with- Canada, for example.
Most European countries also have some pretty nice relationships, most of them beneficial with trade going back and forth. America's happy to trade.
Someone America doesn't really like, though, is Japan. They've been wanting the Pacific Ocean, and while it may be a long ways away... who says they have the right to it?

Name: German Empire, Erika von Brandenburg



Allegiance: Central Power

Personality:
Germany is one of the youngest nation in Europe after it spawned from Prussia, getting strong from feeding from what was left of the Holy Roman Empire after France kicked the whole rotten thing down during the Napoleonic Wars. As such, she is eager to live up to the mighty legacy of its ancestors and add on to it, succeeding where the HRE failed and become a new Rome, Emperor of the World by birthright! Still, as a nation born in the middle of war and raised by Prussia, this makes Erika rather... agressive. Oh, the others like to paint her as a total psycho which is... partially true, fact is she's actually more grounded in reality than others. She doesn't fight for honor, a legacy or ideology, but rather to achieve total victory and as such, she's quite rational and able to be negotiated with, providing you can place her in a position where negotiation is an easier option than just taking what she wants by force.

Likes: Real leather jackboots, people complimenting and pampering her, winning at everything, beating up her old bullies, Großdeutschland, Lebensraum.

Dislikes: Being told she lacks experience, status quo, France's army, Britain's navy, Russia's manpower, Kleindeutschland.

Special Talent:
Military Innovation: Its understandable, other nations have been there for long so in war, they have 'their thing', the tactic that defines them. Germany is young and hasn't quite found what satisfies her yet. Something fast, but also armored with a big gun maybe? Bah, until then Erika will surprise her enemies at every turn with new innovations!

Weaknesses:
-My way or the highway: Erika isn't a team player and she certainly isn't anyone's subordinate. Stubborn as hell, either things will go the way she says or she'll pout until she gets her way.

-Flatterers: Germany is overeager to see people groveling to her, complimenting its righteous might and incredible culture! As such when someone actually bends the knee to butter her up without having force them, Erika can't get enough of it.

Familial Relationships:
-Austria: They call the two of them brother and sister, but the truth is Austria is Germany's uncle, one who should have shut up, died and joined a Großdeutschland! Erika is still mad that Austria is still a thing and finds his wife is a total bitch at that. She really feels the need to force him on his knees and under her orders.

-France: Distant relatives, its... complicated. Since France formed the Rhine Confederation that formed the basis of a united German nation, France is partly Germany's adoptive mom but she and dad (Prussia) hated each other's guts. Really, Erika considers France to be an old nemesis that she's over with after she trashed it in 1870, but its always fun to bully France just out of spite for the whole Napoleon thing.

-Italy: The Holy Roman Empire adopted Italy's grand-dad's name because it was badass so now Germans act like if they are part of Italy's family even if they have nothing to do with it. In Erika's mind, Italy's just another lackey to command around like Austria.

Name: The British Empire



Allegiance: Entende.

Personality: Regal. Powerful. Commanding. The British Empire doesn't have a lot of time left on the clock, but you wouldn't guess that by looking at him. There is nobody who doesn't know him, few that don't fear him, and he can use this to his advantage, domineering any room that he enters, and when it comes to the fields of war...

Likes: Oddly enough, Britain firmly believes in a sense of playing fair and not using dirty and underhanded tricks to get an advantage. He also has his eyes set upon a permenant legacy born in glory, and, of course, can find no fault with a nice cuppa tea.

Dislikes: If there's two things Britain can't stand, it's the growing sense of powerlessness he has from his colonies escaping his grasp, and the incorrect pronounciation of 'scone.' (It should be said sc-O-ne, not sc-on.)

Special Talent:

The Warmaster:
Britain has several million men from across the globe to call on, some of the best professional soldiers in the world, one of the hands-down most powerful navies ever to sail the seas, and some of the most venerable institutions of educating officers in the world. In short, he oozes military prowess.

Respected:
It takes a special kind of country to dare to stand up to the full might of the Empire, even in the wane of the glory days.

Weaknesses:

Traditional:
Britain is slow to take up new tactics and equipment, and slower still to implement them in a way that allows for mass production. He regards machine guns as nothing more than parlour toys, despite the usefulness of the maxim gun, and scorns the idea of semi-automatic sidearms.

Professional Army:
The Empire does not enforce conscription, and instead relies on a small traditional army. Whilst effective, until DORA passes and conscription is enforced, he simply doesn't have the same amount of troops.

Familial Relationships:
Litterally everyone in the world. The Enpire is known as the 'Empire on which the sun never sets' for a damned good reason, and he has family from North America to sub-saharan Africa, Asia to Australasia. The only continent he doesn't have some sort of relation in is the Antartic, and he wad the second person to get to the pole anyway.

France, as his longstanding partner. Despite their arguments and spats, the two love each other really.
Canada, America and Australia as his favourite children.

Other: Nobody knows John's actual name, as several thousand years has left him with one so bloated and over-the-top that even he admits he can't remember half of it.

Personality: She firmly believes in the motto "Indivisible and Inseparable". Coming from Holy Roman Empire , she considers herself it cultural successor, but as well always being highly multicultural. It lead to her being proficient in dialog, debate and balancing acts between different sides. It was only natural from her view that she would join in a marriage with Hungary to further assist and help their people. Working together proved beneficial to everyone.

She is the type who will do what has to be done for the greater good of her home. Even if some parties may dislike her afterwards she is confident they would see reason and the foresight she had in the long run.

She isnt shying from competing with the world. She isnt considered a great power for nothing. Being second biggest in Europe, (after Russia), being the third most populous (after Russia and the Germany). She built up the fourth-largest machine building industry of the world.(after the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom.) Together with Hungary they also became the world's third largest manufacturer and exporter of electric home appliances, electric industrial appliances and power generation apparatus for power plants.(after the United States and the German Empire.)

She finds it her duty to point this things out, just because they arent holding a first place for something doesnt mean they arent great any longer. Question her status, and she will silently dislike you. Manage to irritate her enough and she will start using all the richest of her multicultural knowledge to curse you in mix of over 10 languages. Except the language that the one on the receiving end would understand.

She is a lady, elegant, gently, intuitive, at least that how she would describe herself. She is a excellent dancer, knows to play pretty much any instrument she managed to get her hands on. She values fine arts, being home to several world changing artist. And she knows exactly how to dress to take the breath out of everyone lungs. A skill she learned early on, and used it to her advantage, to further her goals. But in her wardrobe beside a wide collection of dresses there are soldiers uniforms.

She knows how to fight and is involved in her military, though she prefers to join fights only when she is sure she will win them. And she would love to win them quickly.

Multicultural: Having a cosmopolitan bureaucracy, in which Czechs played an important role, backed by loyal elements, including a large part of the German, Hungarian, Polish and Croat aristocracy, allows her to see all the views and judge which one is the most beneficial for them all. This also means she knows a lot of their cultural elements and myths. And can predict their behaviour more or less correctly.

Weaknesses:

Underestimating: Thinking of herself so highly she tends to get blindsided of some problems, and underestimate her opponents. Which can take her by surprise when they show their full potential.

Lets join: Its means if you have many ally with you under the same roof, no one can stop you combined strength. As the second in so many things she is the best ally one can wish. Maybe soon she will become first in some fields. So who wouldnt want to be part of her home? Of course this view is more damaging to her than she truly realizes. As each side pulls to gain more for themself, while other sides dont want to stay joined, and would much like to leave. Which isnt an option in Austria eyes.

Familial Relationships:

Germany: Her niece, a extremely unruly child that has yet to earn experience and learn about the world in Austria opinion. Maybe Austria is slightly jealous of their fast progress, but that isnt something she would ever willingly admit. But she always tries to be polite to them and shamelessly would use any method to manipulate Germany to see things her ways. Which includes flattering her when needing. Austria is sure Germany will thank them for being instrumental in their plans in the long run.

France: They kinda distant relatives.....They dont get exactly along. Especially not after napoleon wars. But for now they can have civil conversation about newest fashions.

Hungary: Her husband, they have their sweet moments but as well they problems like every couple would. She relies on them to balance her own views out.

Croatia: They were ideas to elevate Croatia to a third monarchy, which would meant a three way marriage. (She wasnt eager to hear France opinions about three ways, she knew would come the moment that tidbit reached the nation.) The proposal maybe a way to increase the stability of her home. But that idea is frozen at the moment, so they are sort of not so much proposed at the moment? Depending on which nation you ask. Hungary says a clear no, Croatia says yes, and Austria is will see after they dealt with the recent crises. Austria plans to then definitely decide on the way that will play out.

Bosnia: Her adoptive child. Was put in her care after 1878, Serbia wasnt able to care for the kid at that time, so Austria as generous lady that she is, did it for them. It was fully annexed in 1908, officially adopting them in her family. For some unexplained reason that ruined the neutral to good relationship with her neighbour. And he is yelling a lot at her, truly not a good influence on a child. So it only natural she limits their interactions.

Other:
1.Paole's case, similar to that of Petar Blagojevich, became famous because of the direct involvement of the Austrian authorities and the documentation by Austrian physicians and officers, who confirmed the reality of vampires. Their report of the case she disrupted to the wester Europe as a warning of the danger. (And contributed to the spread of vampire belief among educated Europeans. ) Its one of the reasons she spent a few years carrying garlic with her, wrapped tightly up so it wouldnt smell. #BlameSerbia

Name: Empire of Japan
Appearance:

A tall woman with long, silken black hair and fair skin. Her beauty is incongruous with her army uniform and the practiced way she handles her sword.

Allegiance: Entente, via her alliance with Britain

Personality: Japan is arrogant. Arrogant to the extent that in the 17th century, after a severe quarrel with China and Korea, she considered herself to be so high and independent that she shut herself in her house and did nothing but daydream and write Tanka poems every day. Japan is also proud, and keeps an eye on her image. So when the rest of the world came knocking and practically forced the doors of her humble abode open with their technological strength, she was determined not to lose to the "barbarians" and modernized with eye-catching rapidity. She is greedy, as with her newfound power she has already bullied China and coerced Korea to be her personal servant. She is also wrathful, as the world saw when she sunk Russia's entire Baltic-turned-Pacific Fleet.

Japan is calculating, but not too careful. She is bold, and likes to take risks. For example, she entered the Russo-Japanese War with barely a war chest, and by the end of that conflict was seriously bankrupt. In this new age where China is no longer the center of the world, she is carefully choosing new friends and enemies. A new, cosmopolitan Britain has thus far been a very good ally. But she would have sided with Russia had that country been more powerful.

She's actually developed something of an inferiority complex towards Western nations. She was duly shaken when the United States pried her ports open. However, she doesn't like the subtly condescending the way some of them look at her, and holds something of a grudge against America. From time to time, due to one perceived slight or another, she reminds the European nations that she is their equal and that she showed them that fact at Tsushima.

When Japan is not outside rattling her sword here and there, she changes her military uniform for a floral-patterned kimono at home and likes to drink tea and write poems. She keeps artifacts and ancient texts around her to remind herself of her past even as she jumps forward to a new international future.

May Our Country Last Ten Thousand Years!!: Japan's population might be the most devoted and loyal on Earth. Her soldiers throw themselves at the enemy; her farmers till the soil on hot days; her factory workers churn out car parts and tin cans - all for her, and without complaint. This translates to her having a lot of willpower. Once she sets her mind on something, Japan goes all-out.

Weaknesses:

I Will Not Become Like China: Japan has been playing catch-up with the European powers for so long that she has kind of forgotten that she doesn't need to wait for their technological advances and can refine technology herself. As such, she is slow in making new things and would rather copy new inventions.

Familial Relationships:

-China. Cousins with her. Very bad relationship in recent history, but Japan has recently offered advice on the Middle Kingdom's new Warlord problem. China took care of Japan's childhood education in the ancient past, and was even close with her. But now they are somewhat estranged, ever since China got into an abusive relationship with Mongolia in the latter's time as Empire.
-Korea. Korea and Japan go so far back that their older memories are blurred and neither knows whether they are sisters or cousins. Maybe it doesn't matter. Japan keeps Korea as her personal servant, dressing her up in all kinds of cute and/or lewd outfits. Japan enjoys bullying Korea.
-Jomon. Japan's father. Long since deceased.
-Emishi. Japan's mother. Long since deceased.
-Ainu. Japan's energetic little sister who lives with her.

Later on, Japan gets really obsessed with herself and falls out with the West. She gets very arrogant and irate, wallowing in her medieval memories. She feels very guilty for changing herself so much so quickly and lifts the ban on the construction of traditional katana. She unsheathes her own Imperial Blade and descends upon China, overreacting to a misunderstanding. She also begins to call herself a "Greater Empire" and begins promising liberty to the Asian nations. The world heats up and she allies with Germany and Italy - and the rest is history.

Name: Samuel De Champlain/Canada

Appearance:

Allegiance: Entende

Personality: Tough as nails and then some, Samuel is a fearsome foe but fanatically loyal friend. Ever since Canada entered the trenches, he's been coming out more and more, and he's only gotten more warlike and viscous as the war has continued. He does have immense respect for those he fights however, and refuses to be the first one to 'fight dirty.'

Likes: Samuel believes in loyalty, even in the face of great adversity, and has high respect for anyone that does so, even if they are his enemies. Similarly, bravery and sacrifice are also things he values highly.

His favourite person other than Anne is his father, England, and his favourite food is cod.

Dislikes: Nature and Samuel abhors a coward, although who hates cowards more is up for debate. Samuel has no lost love between himself and Freedom Eagle either.

Special Talent:

Blindside: Nobody expects the mild-mannered Anne to suddenly become Samuel, not in the slightest. At the start of the war, his sheer ferocity caused the Germans to fear him, and now he's done nothing to stop them from worrying, fighting back against even the harshest of odds.

Weaknesses:

Small Fish: Despite his prowess, Jean simply isn't the biggest force on the frontline, even after the English request. He has much less manpower and relies on getting supplies from the Brits and Americans (much to his ire,) rathet than importing them himself.

Unfathomably Polite:
It is impossible to be insulted by Anne. If she even suspects you have been insulted, she'll follow it up with a barrage of apologies and ways for her to make it up to you, to the point where 'sorry' is pretty much her catchphrase.

In truckloads. Anne, as well as being polite, has an air of sophistication that permeates her, even even when she's squealing like a 10 year old over something cute. She never has a hair out of place, and rarely stumbles.

Personality: Osmani enjoys living a rather lavish and hedonistic lifestyle, even in the face of her increasingly fragile realms of territory decay. She has a large, pompous personality, commanding a huge presence. While her time has come to pass, Osmani still carries herself like the great power she used to be.

Likes: Osmani enjoys very lavish foods, particular over the top decadent things such as stuffed melon, rose serbet, and other things such as these. Her greatest love is Coffee, which she drinks with a side of Lokum; but if she wants something more hearty, she drinks the yogurty drink known as Ayran. Osmani enjoys tormenting Armenia, using him as a servant or just a punching bag. She is also very proud of her religion, that being Islam, and takes great pride in her position of Caliphate.

Dislikes:
Osmani has hated the fact that her once vast territories are falling apart, with many nations that she once claimed dominion over now free. She has a particular hatred of Greece, who is something of an arch-nemesis of hers. She has also hated the fact that her decline is coming with the rise of the West.

Special Talent:

Hail to the Caliph!: Osmani holds the prestigious title of Caliph, meaning that she theoretically has the highest dominion over all Muslims in the world. At her call, Osmani can declare Jihads and urge other nations following Islam to rise up and declare war on her enemies and provoke insurgency of Islamic nations under the authority of other nations. In practice, however, it's usually less effective

Kayser-i Rum: The amount of territory and other nations that Osmani has subjugated is vast, comparable to the Roman and Byzantine Empires. While those territories have vastly shrunk over time, Osmani is still in control of a respectable amount of territory.

Weaknesses:

Sick Man of Europe: Osmani has been in very rapid decline from her golden age long ago and has since begun to stagnate technologically. Her economy, industrial sector, and military technology are quite pitiful compared to the great powers of Europe.

Nationalism: Osmani fights against the desire of those nations under her yoke yearning for their own freedom.

Familial Relationships:
Osmani has the greatest familial relationships with other Turkic nations, who have fallen under Russian subjugation. She has a more distant relationship to Iran and Mongolia by way of her ancestors, Seljuk and Timurid. She considers all of the Balkan nations to be like adoptive children or siblings, even if they don't return the sentiment, but generally does not interact with them much.

Particular relationships:

Armenia: Osmani is a very abusive host to Armenia. She routinely mistreats him simply for her own enjoyment.
Greece: Osmani and Greece have by far the most vitriolic relationship, with very active and aggressive hatred for each other.
Arabs: Osmani has a mixed relationship with the Arabs, viewing them as fellow Muslims, but also looking down on them as well.

Personality:
Few nations exist in this world that make cruelty and sadism into an artform like Russia.
A woman of very few words, Russia relies far more on presence than oration. When she steps into a room, all go quiet, and the very air becomes a deathly cold. Nations have good reason to be afraid, for hiding behind the blank, emotionless gaze is a mind that has been hardened and made savage by life in the harsh wastes of the east. Many know of the horrible things that she has done to those who have stood before her in the past.

It is also well known that Russia is a violent alcoholic. To say that she is a mean drunk is a gross understatement, and once the vodka begins flowing, the cold and calculating facade that she sets up gives way for a bloodthirsty monster that strikes with all the ferocity and savagery of the bears that her land is so famous for. She seems to have a particular fondness for dealing with her enemies in slow and agonizing ways, in particular, crippling them and leaving them to freeze to death in the wastelands that compromise her dominions.

Other nations would take notice that lately, her mental health has been deteriorating further, and no longer is the fearsome eastern juggernaut keeping her cold and emotionless demeanor, but more and more her personality becomes violent and erratic, with her engaging in acts of self-mutilation and fits of insanity where she screams and begins to take on unusual personality traits for times. It is speculated that it will not take long for her to finally snap.

Special Talent:
Ice Queen: Russia's domains are vast and dangerous. She holds the largest contiguous land-based empire, which she holds together with an iron fist. With so many resources at her disposal, Russia can seemingly summon an unending downpour of fire upon her enemies, throwing soldiers at them like nothing, taking bombings in her vast and mostly uninhabited lands with ease, and even using the horrifying weather of her lands to stop her enemies in her tracks.

Weaknesses:
Insanity: Lately, Russia has not been doing well. While she has had a reputation of cruelty before, she is doing significantly worse now, and it is likely she will not be able to maintain a stable and healthy state of mind for muchlonger. Voices in her head call for her to change her life, and she is finding it harder and harder to fight them.

Quality Control: The Problem with prodcing so much on such a large scale so quickly is that its hard to make sure everything is up to par. As a result, Russia's equipment is highly prone to failure and malfunction.

Familial Relationships:

Russia is a cousin to the Slavic nations of Central Europe and the Balkans. While not the oldest, she is certainly the most successful, and many other Slavic nations look up to her as a paragon of virtue. She has, however, largely disowned Bulgaria.

She can proudly claim Mongolia as her grandfather of all people, as he sired her father, Muscovy, with Kiev. Some like to joke that she got her violent and sadistic streak from her dedushka. Muscovy would later go on to produce three children of his own, Russia, and her two siblings, Ukraine and Belarus.
Currently, Russia houses Ukraine and Belarus in her own home, whether they like it or not.

While not biologically related, Russia considers Greece like a brother, as he is the child of Byzantium, who was like a father figure to Russia in the absence of her own father. Russia was very attached to Byzantium and was absolutely crushed at his death, even vowing to take on his legacy and proclaiming herself the Third Rome. It is very much a possibility that the grief she felt after his death was what triggered her descent into a cold unfeeling machine, and started her habit of heavy drinking. She is protective of his memory, and will not tolerate any insults to him.

France is the mother that Russia never had. Russia absolutely idolizes France and spent a good deal of time trying to emulate her in every way, following her to a tee in fashion, literature, and even the very way she ran her country. Russia doesn't nearly idolize her as she did before, but she still holds her in high regard.

Name: Jeane Dubois- Belgium

Allegiance: Firmly Entende

Personality: Belgium is young, naïve and immature, yet also dedicated and determined to protect herself from attacks. Despite her young age, she’s grown up in the midst of fire and genocide, and has already demonstrated her vicious side more than once.

Likes: Belgium has an excellent relationship with America and for good reason- both are obsessed with FREEDOM. She’s firmly against anything that might take her uniqueness and independence away from her, and as such she has a purely antagonistic relationship with her cousin Germany. As well as this, she has a sweet tooth a mile wide, and adores chocolate. Like, really, really loves chocolate. To a degree that makes Germany’s daddy issues look normal.

Dislikes: Belgium has one major issue. Anyone that tries to take FREEDOM (or her chocolate,) away from her. She also has a really bad relationship with Germany, and is pretty insecure about how small she is.

Special Talent:

Always underestimated:
Belgium’s sheer determination and courage means that people expecting the small country to roll over and eat out of their hands will be sorley disappointed and held back by a volley of bolt-action fire. She also has friends in high places, including with Britain, France, and more.

Weaknesses:

Suck in the Middle With You:
Belgium is in an unfortunate geographical area, placed in the perfect area for any attacks by Germany and France. With the militaristic ambitions of Germany, this is unlikely to end up as being a positive for her.

Belgium has no direct family other than her technical father, England, although she does have a number of cousins and ‘It’s complicated’ relationships, including Germany, France, the Netherlands, and more German countries.
