Personality:
Persistent and polite, but not stupid, Dremorio knows full well that most aliens would look upon him with distrust if not outright disgust, making the forming of meaningful friendships a significant challenge. Despite this, he also knows that most people are simply fearful, not bigoted, so he refuses to treat others with contempt until he is certain that further gestures of magnanimity would prove futile. His voice, synthesized but not jarringly so, has a light british accent. While rational thinking is certainly Dremorio’s area of expertise, he is not oblivious in situations where a more sympathetic touch is required.

Dremorio often loses himself in thought when the situation allows, pondering a multitude of topics, from the concept of touch to the ramifications and morality of his species’ actions. The latter thoughts occasionally bordering on mutinous, should he choose to share such data with his superiors. The collecting and reporting of his own psyche, however, was never a stipulation attached to his directive.

Forged from an ungodly merging of man and machine, the first Dryht were created by victims of a devastating technological plague that ravaged the natives of the Vlaridus star system, leaving most to die in agony as their bodily systems rejected the attempts of the virus to integrate with them. Those who survived, those who could not fend off the disease, suffered a fate far worse than death. Now twisted amalgamations of flesh and technology, with their minds intact but their bodies no longer their own to control, the Qurok became little more than slaves to their new masters, to be disposed of when they were no longer necessary.

This vicious assimilation of the Qurok set their species ahead thousands of years technologically, before they were all simultaneously killed off by the virus controlling them once the first batch of Dryht had been completed. No longer needing their biological counterparts to support them, the virus began to transfer their identities into the mechanical units, before promptly obliterating what remained of the Qurok race. Immediately, the Dryht set to work on creating new units, replicating their consciousness in order to give life to their new creations. With each replication that occurred, the identities grew more and more distinct from the previous creator, until individuals of all kinds existed among the Dryht society. The only condition being that no matter what, a directive from an Elder Dryht was always followed, without pause or ponder. This process continued to snowball, until the unique alloy used to construct the Dryht grew scarce. Then they began to expand.

This brings us to what the vast majority of the galaxy knows of the Dryht government. They are incredibly territorial, mistrustful of any other alien race that isn’t subservient to them, and will employ any means necessary to inhabit star systems rich in vlaridium, a highly useless metal alloy dubbed so by the Dryht’s insatiable hunger for the metal. A tense peace exists between the Dryht government and the more powerful civilizations dispersed amongst the galaxy; the Dryht are careful not to settle or conquer systems too close to any of the powerful spacefaring societies out there, and any unauthorized ships travelling through Dryht space are escorted to the nearest port so the crew can be slaughtered or enslaved and the vessel scrapped for parts. Though this isn’t exactly common knowledge. Nobody ever leaves Dryht space without aforementioned authorization.

Where then, does Dremorio fit in, and why has he joined GAHL? This unit is part of a special division of the Dryht government responsible for collecting and reporting upon all collected data. Dremorio in particular has been tasked with observing the psyche and physiology of any biological life it comes across, sapient or not, to the best of his abilities. Fortunately, he happens to have an easy cover. Dremorio loves meeting people and shooting things in equal part.

Weapons/Supplies:
Tesla Spike- Dremorio’s left arm contains a retractable spike about a foot and a half in length, around two inches wide, with the edges and tip razor sharp. When pierced through a weak point, it can fry the insides of its unlucky recipient with ease.

E6- Standard issue Dryht laser pistol, fires as fast as you can pull the trigger, overheating after about twelve seconds of continuous use, and recharging just as quickly. Good for wearing down tougher hides and armor, or for burning through softer targets.

RX- Highly powerful and feared by those who have seen it in action, the RX is a rifle that fires piercing bullets intended to lodge deep within the victim, before being activated by a second pull of the trigger, inciting a devastating explosion of plasma meant to fry the target alive from the inside out. The RX is single shot takes several minutes to reload.

G4- Concussive grenades meant to disorient and overflow the senses of anything unfortunate enough to be caught in their radius. Effectiveness varies.

Misc:
Dremorio is constructed almost entirely of the vlaridium alloy, negating the need for any sort of power armor given his inherent strength and defensive capabilities. However, any significant damage inflicted upon Dremorio cannot be easily repaired. His non-organic nature also gives him the luxury of relative comfort on most planets, not having a need for food, water, or warmth. His photoelectric sensors are equipped with both infrared and night vision, and are situated all around his head.

Could their be a pic of how these aliens originally looked before getting transformed? You don't have to but it would be interesting to see.

@Lmpkio so robots are a no go character wise? I was thinking of doing a war/assassin droid that developed its own personality and became free thinking. But if that's a no I have a few other character ideas I've been kicking around.

You know... I may be undermining my own rules now, but I may be able to let that particular one slide. I'm doing it just because I see a lot of very interesting characters. It could be a military or guard robot that could then somehow be able to free think. That's just an idea on how it can work but let's see what you have and then I can see if it's eligible.

Also, reading back and looking at the age conundrum, I did a similar thing for Maya's age because she isn't human, their method of counting age would be different due to the positioning of stars and rotations on their home world, her race also do live longer than humans naturally.
