[IC] Ascension vs Multiverse (Original characters only)

..::The battlefield::..

A ruined kingdom, defeated by time and vegetation. Its remains are pillars to the sky. A endless drop below. Several stone bridges stood to connect one grave to another. The sun is glaring while it makes its decent into the shadows within an hours time.

Standing ontop a bridge from one tower to another stood the dragon slayer. King Magnix. His sword sat on his back, wrapped in multiple layers of white cloth. His arms were crossed and his eyes were closed. This bridge and most of the others were 20 meters across. His wings were blowing in the wind like fabric drying in the breeze. The air was rushing with a high rising swirl. It was as if a storm was coming, as clouds emerged from below to travel through the sky towers that will be a battle field.

Auz came strutting along the bridge, whistling a shrill rendition of "Groove is in the Heart". Not seeming to notice the King, he began accentuating his song with raunchy pelvic thrusts, busting out the lyrics as he did so.

"Your groove I do deeply dig
No walls, only the bridge
My supper dish, my succotash wi~ish (Sing it, baby)
I couldn't ask for another (Uh huh, uh huh)
No, I couldn't ask for anoth-...er...

Uhhh..."

As Auz reached the King, his song slowed to an awkward stop. The wind picked up a few tufts of his blonde hair, the swordsman's mouth stupidly ajar as he tried to think of a way to salvage his image before this choice piece of obvious royalty.

The king seemed unaware of the arrival of the newcomer. Even as he sang merrily into the echoing skies. His hair and wings whipped at the ends like organic matter. But his body was frozen, unmoving. It was only until Auz reached Magnix did the fading color coating his body began to chip away. Blowing like dust into the wind as they shattered. His lids emitted sandlike earth before abruptly opening. His body was then shaken free of the stone skinn and his limber muscled form fumed with fresh life.

"I live once more. But this.. where am I?" He looked to Auz before feeling a intense sensation on his chest. He looked down to see a symbol. A symbol for an Arena slave in his world. "I see.. I am just a sword for amusement." No longer appearing conflicted he peered at Auz's attire and weaponry. "Then we will begin. The gods wish to see blood." Getting into a fighting stance Magnix lowered is stature by a few inches and tossed his sword off his back. He swung it with both arms several meters into the air.

"Fffftt..." He sucked in air. His chest swelled before he unleashed a exhaling breath as a stream of fire across bridge. As the bridges were only 14 meters wide and this flame stream was 3 meters wide and reached 12 feet.

"Augh you ass!!"

Auz threw himself to the ground, all stop drop and roll. He had been unaware of the King's fire, and hence had been unable to react in time.

"Ohoho fuck this HURTS LIKE A MOTHER!"

Magnix fed the flame for only the time needed for it to reach 12 feet. His keen eyes noticing Auz's immediate evasion gave him wind of a possible opening. So he moved in, pushing forward with both legs, his left leading. His hands faced their palms behind him and a concentrated stream of fire instantly ignited, straight out their center, and sent him forward in faster.

Stand!
He roared as he brought his right leg back and swung it forward for a swift kick to the side of Auz's head. His bare foot raising his toes to smack him with the hard callous skin on his feet. Not very different from tough leather. His swing sent his leg upward. His left leg was bent to avoid touching the ground and keep his forward momentum going.

After this kick his hands stopped emitting flames.

Auz was sent rolling by the kick, and wound up on his back in a daze. He saw little imaginary phoenix chicks fluttering before his eyes, and with blood streaming down his sooty face, grinned at them. He extended a hand towards the sky, eyes rolling wildly.

"Whuuuh... Birdies pretty... Pretty..."

Landing on his feey, his right before his left. He immediately leapt up. He was then immediately coming down on Auz. He would land beside him and drop a right knee on Auz's arm (lets say his right) with the momentum of his landing. He followed through the same flow of force to bring his left hand down to hit his throat in a chopping motion. Upon contact Auz would feel the force of over 200ibs strike his throat. Right after the initial contact a ignition of fire would erupt from the result of the hit. It would immediately unfold as a fiery popping sound that blackened the air around its birth.

Needless to say, Auz died. The King would have only the momentary satisfaction of feeling the body beneath him before it suddenly evaporated into an iron-scented crimson mist. The corpse had vanished!

"Victory.." He rumbled as he slowly rose to his feet. He began to notice the red but his focus was broken by his blade landing and sinking blade first into the bridge. Magnix walked over to his sword and pulled it from within the stone. The wrapping began to undo as it lifted as streams of thin cloth floating into the wind. He lifted the blade with his right hand and gently placed it on his shoulder. He felt the winds as he watched the sun.

"I guess your mother was real flame, huh?"

Auz had materialized several feet behind the King, and stood with his arms folded across his chest, one foot tapping the thick planking of the bridge.

"Yeah, no, cool off for a second and listen up. I'll give you three free shots. Three chances to land a punch on me, yeah? Hit me and I'll tell you both the secret of my power, and how your mummy is faring in the afterlife. One time offer, big boy."

Magnix turned too look at Auz with widening eyes. He glared at Auz now, as he slowly turned to face him. Magnix dropped his blade onto thr ground. It fell with a loud thud as dirt was kicked up from its impact. He began walking toward Auz at a calm pace. But his face was stoned as his pupils stared daggers into his opponent.

"You speak of mothers and secrets. I do not care for either. Both long burned away.. if this test unlocks my freedom, be you a messenger of the forces that put me here, then Ill do you more than pass." Reaching around 5 feet from Auz Magnix lept forward with a small step, immediately forming into a sideways stance, his left side leading with his left arm stretched forward. His fingers were curled back in a open palm push toward the collar of Auz's attire. He fingers would hook onto the collar after contact. His right hand was close to his body. His closed right fist sitting next to his chin by a few inches.

Auz's jaw worked into a crooked smirk, only to devolve into a pursed funnel as he spat a surprise wad of blood at the King's eyes, right as he successfully grabbed Auz's collar, meant to make the big hothead blink or look away for the briefest of moments. The swordsman had bitten his own tongue for spit fodder. How would Auz escape the King's mighty grip? Apparently with the aid of acting like an alpaca.

As Magnix's hand touched Auz he pushed him forward to throw him off balance. As he did this Auz spat at him. The push throwing the projectile off aim and having the blood land on Magnix's upper left cheek and across his nose ridge. This did cause his eyes to squint with the flinch caused by the unexpected splatter. His face turned more to his right.

After the push Magnix would pull on Auz's collar downward but towards him. This was done after his feet touched the ground to reverse the push momentum he had from leaping to attempt the initial grab.

Auz slid his right leg back to maintain balance as he was pushed, and when the King flinched at about the same time, attacked. His arms came uncrossed in a blur, right hand siezing the nearby hilt of a dagger and flashing out with feverish, whiplike speed. The King would have nary a chance to keep the tendons in his left forearm from being cleanly cut by the devilishly swift blade of Auz. If his tendons were severed, he'd lose the ability to hold onto the wily immortal.

That was a negative, considering how Auz was among the top five deadliest knife fighters in the multiverse.

In one motion during the initial push Auz retaliated whilst steadying himself. This was not unnoticed to Magnix. However it seemed he did nothing as Auz cut into his solid flesh. Aware of the possible outcome Magnix's strategy changed. Instead of pulling he kept going in closer. His left elbow bending as his right fist dropped and rotated along with a shift in posture. His right side coming forward to try and deliver a sweeping uppercut to Auz's abdomen. His right leg aiming to fasten inbetween Auz's legs. Upon contact the friction would combust into flames via Magnix's ability. With Magnix's strength it would also pierce through most armor and flesh.

Instead of drawing back his right arm after slashing the King's tendons, Auz kept his blade extended out to the side and, as the King stepped forth to deliver his punch, Auz neatly slid his left foot behind his right at a shoulder's width apart, swaying backwards at the last moment so that the blow would merely skim the front of his chestplate. Without pause the still-raised dagger moved like a silver serpent, weaving over the King's lowered left arm and drawing a blue lightning arch for his throat. In a split second the King would have his throat slit unless he had a backup plan.

Magnix's eyes and head followed the motion of his uppercut. The light skim igniting into flames on Auz's chest. The blade arc would be parryed by Magnix's swiftly turning his head downward and to his right. His horns clashing with the blade. The pointed ends of the right horn pushing the blade to Auz's left.

Gritting his teeth against the intense heat scalding his chest, Auz jackknifed downwards and darted in with the intent of taking the King to the ground with a one leg takedown. He'd try to straddle the King's lead leg, encircling it behind the knee with both arms before aiming to lift the leg up whilst ramming his upper body into his opponent's midsection, making use of his right shoulder and the side of his head with the chin tucked in so that there'd be as little space between their bodies as possible. If all went well, the King would find himself tipping heavily onto his back, Auz on top of him.

Sparks would fly as Magnix's horns hit Auz's blade. The friction igniting into sparks and heating them both up intensely. Auz's blade would be hotter.

Looking down after deflecting Auz's blade Magnix noticed his opponent lower himself for what he assumed was a classic grappling maneuver. Magnix's uninjured right arm was pulling back the moment after the narrow escape Auz pulled. After blocking the dagger his arm was halfway to his body. He quickly attempted to slap it down on Auz's left shoulder as he lurched forward to try and grab Magnix. Magnix would use this to stop Auz from getting a hug on his leg. As well as ignite the friction to cause a flames to erupt from Magnix's palm.
