Welcome to the Restaurant. Feel free to wander the halls or take a seat in the bar. If you'd like a table for yourself, simply ask a waiter. Our windows give excellent view of the End, wherever in the Restaurant you are.
In the vast uncaring universe where everything is nothing but a speck of dust in the grand scheme of things, the Restaurant is an oddity. It sits in a time bubble, at the moments surrounding the End of the Universe, after everything that could happen has happened, after all the places and history and people has come and gone. No one know hot it came to be. They only know that it's powered by Infinity, seemingly being able to indefinitely sustain itself despite the destruction and/or non-existence of everything else, and that
There are as many ways to reach it as there are methods and systems and beliefs in the universe: the time travellers are given a brochure as soon as they figured the whole time travelling thing out, the dimension hoppers would probably crash land into it on their first trips. It's also not uncommon to have someone simply popping in there without knowing how they got there either.
Regardless of the mode of transportation, the Restaurant accepts everyone and invites all to come and bask in the glory of The End, which plays and loops back on itself right outside the window.
Food is free and seating can always be adjusted.
A Couple of Words
Hello, and welcome to the Restaurant.
Although the title and basic concept of the Restaurant is taken from Douglas Adams The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy trilogy, this RP is not otherwise related to the series. We do appreciate the jokes, though.
Character creation isn’t tied down to a specific world. You can make a wizard from the medieval age, an engineer from a magic-free 21st century, a soldier from an alt-history where Germany won the war, a fire dragon from a distant planet or whatever. I urge you to create one with a deep and/or interesting backstory so your character can have a lot to tell, but I won't mind either way.
This RP is more conversational than action-based. The tone I’m aiming for is light-hearted, relaxed, and good-humoured. You can make an edgy character, if you like, but don’t expect others to play along.
Feel free to join anytime. You don't have to read all the previous IC posts; the latest GM post and the posts afterwards should tell you all you need to know about the current situation and surrounding.
You can just jump into the RP without waiting for approval, but you should still fill in the CS and put it to the Characters tab to keep your character consistent. If you want your character to be a staff in the Restaurant, talk to me about it first.
You may leave the roleplay at any time. Just write something IC to explain that your characters are leaving, so you don't leave other players on a limbo.
If the pace of the roleplay is not to your liking, kindly talk about it with the players whose characters you are interacting with.
As this is Casual, not Free, you ought to do a bit more than a one-liner.
Whatever the GM says goes.
Stay cool.
