Name: Eve Clarke
Alias/Nickname: N/A
Appearance: Age: 24
Race: Human
Rank: Knight
Personality: Capricious, energetic, bold, and outspoken, Eve follows few social standards at any given time. She loves her work above almost everything else, prioritizing her formulating, building, and testing above eating, sleeping, and personal hygiene. When at work, very little can actually manage to pull her away, but after getting over the traumatization of stepping out, she’s typically a bustling, cheery bundle of absurdity. While she gladly risks her life for the cause of peace and freedom, she is also a bitter, seething enemy to those she deems enemies. Which may change from time to time.
Biography/history: She was born a fraternal twin and just as quickly abandoned. After a few years of slumming it in an orphanage, her early genius was discovered and she was adopted into a wealthy family, the Clarkes. Even as a toddler, she was an undeniable prodigy, advancing into mathematical formulae and programming codes at an alarming rate. Scholarships came easy as breathing for her, so it was only natural that she spend her childhood and teenage years going to schools dedicated to gifted children.
There was just one apparent problem—Eve didn’t play well with other children. Or teachers. Or anyone. She was an emotional wreck and couldn’t bear to study on her own. Out of necessity, her brother was brought in to accompany her to classes, which had the desired calming and normalizing effect. With his help, she was able to graduate with honors and the like, eventually earning not one, but two distinguished degrees in Artifice and Robotic Technologies by the time she was nineteen.
Then tragedy struck. When her brother was caught in the crossfire of an assassination attempt, his body was all but riddled through. He should have died, but he was stabilized on life support long enough for Eve to attempt the impossible. With the help of a sizeable grant and a team of doctors, she managed to reconstruct his body, replacing bone with metal and nerves with wiring. By the time they finished, he was whole again, though certainly not the same person she remembered.
Her brother remained loyally by her side, and the two decided they needed to do more with their schooling than research and development. After joining the Tower of Stars, the pair became mixed into two different orders—Eve into the Order of Steel and her brother into the Order of Shadows.
Reason for recruitment: She's a genius who developed and got rich off her own brand of AI programming. It helps that her artificery makes some pretty neat weapons, too.
Strength of Will: Greater
Magic: General Categorization: Artifice. The point of artifice isn’t to infuse magic into the mundane so much as bring out the magic inherently part of the mundane. To that end, runes, chemistry, mechanics, metallurgy, and even coding are used to create and manipulate patterns and formulas that tap into the intrinsic, magical qualities all materials in the universe have.
Specific Spells: N/A
God relations: Orcorum--she doesn't worship him so much as follow after his scholars for the knowledge Orieon possessed.
Tech:Juditha: A mechanical and magical wonder, Juditha is a collapsible rifle with a variety of ammo types.
-Lightning Shot: A small device, roughly the size of a fist, which discharges electricity upon impact. The target of the shot, which is identified as a friendly, is not affected by the discharge. Instead, surrounding targets are blasted by electric bolts.
-Flamethrower: A continuous blast of flame that reaches 3 feet erupts from Juditha’s muzzle. Each container’s worth of fluid consumed lasts for approximately one minute each.
-Grease Grenade: Pressurized grease within a thin ceramic shell shatters upon impact and releases highly flammable grease within a radius of up to 15 feet.
-Tether Shot: One end of a metal cord remains attached to the gun while the other is shot forward up to 25 feet away. The opposing end has a metal claw, which affixes itself to any target it can grapple.
-Shredder: A grenade that explodes with lethal force and sends shrapnel into targets up to 15 feet away.
-Acid-Fire: Pressurized acid within a thin ceramic shell shatters upon impact and releases highly corroding acid, which can dissolve normal metals and even rock within seconds. The splatter spreads up to 5 feet in radius and ignites upon impact.
-Nitrogen Bomb: Pressurized nitrogen explodes upon impact and instantly freezes a target. The radius is small, directly affecting targets (or parts of targets) up to 3 feet in radius.
-Caltrop Bomb: Upon impact, the shell of the bomb launches sharp metal caltrops in a radius of up to 10 feet.
-Trip Mine: Active upon impact, the small, square device is packed with liquid explosive capable of ripping apart concrete. It's activated when the pressure sensor is triggered.
-Smoke Bomb: A small device emits heavy white smoke for approximately 3 minutes. It provides heavy cover within the area it explodes and causes difficulty breathing.
-Portable Wall: A charged device that generates a wall of force. Depending on the programming before deployment, it can take various shapes, such as a ladder, a bridge, or any other predetermined form. Whatever the shape, it can form any area up to 15x15 feet and lasts for approximately one minute. While active, the force-created object has a faint blue glow and will deflect most attacks and projectiles sent its way.
-Regular Bullets: Exactly what it sounds like!
Ace: Eve’s butlering companion who is programmed to aid her in every conceivable need, be it sewing, welding, cooking, doctoring, piloting, or conversing in other languages. Ace is not equipped for combat, but is composed of an adamantine alloy that makes him resistant to bullets and blades.
Jack: A battle robot programmed to fight with both a sword arm and a gun arm. It shoots regular bullets, stands at 8 feet tall, and has mechanical strength more than five times greater than a man. It doesn’t use a camera or light to view its targets, but has infrared sensors on top of motion sensors. As far as fighting ability, it has been tested, reprogrammed, and rebuilt multiple times until it has been conditioned for advanced combat maneuvering.
Perkle: An infiltration robot no larger than a fist. It gets around by rolling and can even use a sticky coating to roll itself up vertical services. Equipped with three deployable, miniature cameras, two detachable trackers, and a remote plug-in to allow wireless access into a computer.
Parachute Pack: A simple parachute designed to break a fall. It's worn on the back and activated by a button on a connecting chest piece. The nice part? It folds itself back up again after use.
Possessions/items/property:Pegasus: A relatively small, anti-gravity yacht powered by solar sails. It can reach speeds up to 150mph and houses enough room for Eve’s artifice lab as well as living quarters for her and her brother. Needless to say, it also stores computers, along with a personal laptop, tablet, and smartphone. (
