@Themerlinhawk - Actually, I shifted my idea to a humanoid... though I did not read the codex, so perhaps I should before writing too much. I was thinking of her having spirit-like powers. =X
@Lyla oh aye, I was referring to Titania. Crazy one, her. But if savagery isn't up your alley there's still the honorable one. Let's make a deal, shall we?
@Themerlinhawk - Hahah, fair enough... no I was thinking spirit magic. Like being able to become ethereal for a limited time, using spirit-based attacks (thinking like a bit weaker than other magics, but normally bypass protections), maybe even talk to the dead? Something like that. Maybe things like shifting from place to place, similar to teleportation? Again, just vague ideas atm.
@LylaNecromancy. Specifically what Crow can do. They are called Veilwalkers though true teleportation is called Opening a Way. You need a Supreme will which player characters cant have, or you need to have Void magic. Which is also not a player character thing. But what you're talking about is a type of Necromancy
@Lucius Cypher - Really? I've played a few blink / teleportation type characters before. Never saw it as that overpowered or anything. Guess it's just me? xD No biggie. It's Them's RP after all.
@Lyla I think I gave you the wrong impression. You can still play the spirit mage. Veil crossing to move around unimpeded by the physical world is totally a thing. I was talking about the kind of teleportation that moves you across continents in the blink of an eye. I love necromancers so please feel free to tinker with that idea. Its very much a part of this world which is why Yishreenoks channeled magic has the most info.
I'll be back around in about 8 hours. Tomorrow is my friday so I'll be getting everyone settled and the plot moving this weekend so you still have time to get stuff together. MR should be able to answer some of your questions and @Wind Wild should be rolling out of bed in about an hour or two so she can for sure help atleast as much as MR. IF you stump both of them I'll get back around to you when im up.
Where the hell did Teriyaki go? I saw them in the Codex but I thought they had a CS for me. Weird. Aight take care.
@Themerlinhawk - Oh, okies.. well I only have 30 min to bed and class all day tomorrow. So, I'll start work but no promises. Have class Friday too, so.. and it's a fast track. =X
Ah, I like you guys!!! Though, I'm stuck on my race part... might just make her a "normal" human, haha. I really like Elder Sidhe, but I don't think her picture does the race justice in that case. =|
Well we don't have her picture so I call shinanigans! Make her whatever you want her to be. In this instance make her that elder singsong doie! You know you wanna.
Looks gucchi to me. I dunno what an Eldar Sindhe is suppose to look like anyways, and if they're suppose to be Elish she looks elvish enough. Her pointy ears are probs hidden in her hair or something.
Though I think she needs to move dat skirt a few degrees south namean?
A pioneer who sits out his long and boring days in his nightstand, despite being a pioneer.
Nathan Y. McDonald
"The Watchful Vulture"
This alias surprisingly does not match the character's personality
Of course, this isn't his casual getup. It's his BATTLE GEAR.
On a regular workday, Nathan usually looks like the gentleman on the left. Except that he wears a helmet instead of a gas mask. Looks familiar? Good.
Captain: Bob, do you think that artificial insemination is bioethically moral? Bob: I have no idea about that, but some guy down the street is currently wearing the same attire as you. Captain: What did you say? I'LL KILL HIM! Bob: That's sexist. :|
Age: About 25
Rank: ArtisanHis unique usage of runes and battle tactics make him sort of a good shot.
Will Level: PotentNathan partly inherited his mother's Greater will level. Unfortunately, he didn't ENTIRELY inherit it. He has high-tier potent will and can use multiple magics at ease. Eventually, he'll train enough and climb the ladder, but his schedule has been very tight lately...
Personality: Nathan, at first glance, is very intimidating. A sheer glance from him can send chills down one's spine. Much like your typical well-shaded comic book character. However, despite being the accomplished man he is supposed to be, he is actually very.......derpy. He's the kind of sleepy douche that would talk about his personal life in weird ways, or tell a joke and laugh at it like this.
Joker: See, there were two guys locked in a lunatic asylum and one night, they decided that they didn't like it anymore. They decided to escape. So they make it up to the roof and there, just across this narrow gap, they see rooftops stretching across town, stretching to freedom. Now the first guy jumps across, no problem. But his friend, no way, he's afraid of falling. So the first guy, he has an idea. He says, "Hey, I got this flashlight with me. I'll shine it across the gap between the buildings and you can walk across the gap and join me. But the second guy says, "What do you think I am, crazy? You'll just turn it off when I'm halfway across." Joker: Hahaha, excuse me, haha...hahaHA...HahaHAhahaHAhaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Batman: *forced laughter*
Despite that, he's somewhat agreeable.
THE STORY SO FAR...
Nathan was born in the city of Digginspoint, located in the Zarindan province. His mother, Inari Yttria, was a skilled elementalist and swordswoman who would usually incorporate element bending techniques and classic swordplay, thus making her a force to be reckoned with. She was dubbed "The Thorned Rose", and she had earned her position as Knight Captain through hard work. Nathan was pressured to carry her legacy on. His father, Rudolph McDonald, was a wizard of sorts. He was a weird one. He would write in some ancient language and mutter incomprehensible wordings that he called "spells". Johnny was, as said earlier, pressured to carry on his mother's legacy, and this caused him to become somewhat introverted and hardy.
Nathan's mother forced Nathan to learn how to manipulate all the classical elements, as in all of them. However, Nathan was more interested in guns. He had his mom buy him a toy dart gun, and he would shoot his neighbors living in the nearby household through the windows with it, thus showcasing his excellent aim and lack of proper discipline. The unfortunate neighbors did not dare complain, for they were afraid of the brat's mother, so the best they could do was close the windows. Nathan would get spanked for doing so, nonetheless. Nathan also showed an interest in his father's spells, much to the father's surprise. He learned to write in ancient glyphs, and he began tinkering with magic runes at a young age. His mother was very disappointed, but was rather sympathetic towards her son since he was an only child. Nathan ended up only learning how to manipulate plasma, which wasn't a classical element to begin with. He learned it well anyway, and would usually be seen trying to create elaborate shapes out of the plasma instead of hurling it like he would in a fight. His mother was even more disappointed, but his father pointed out that their son had to learn how to put focus and effort into element bending, so the mother decided to watch in all her disappointment.
Soon, Nathan had become an independent teen. His mother had become very disappointed in him, since he hadn't become a master of the element like she had become at his age. Nathan initially refrained from joining the Tower of Stars. He was growing up when futuristic weaponry was becoming the norm, so he came up with an outrageous idea: using guns to cast spells!
Yes, he came up with that. He's still somewhat proud of it.
He studied weaponry and magic at the same time. He conceptualized fitting runes that could cast all kinds of magic spells into guns. After a lot of sketching and building, he had designed his twin pistols: Order and Chaos. He also trained in stealth, like most gun-wielding military trainees at the academy would. He dug deeper into his father's books and saw all sorts of spells and illusory tricks. Eventually, he would learn how to use these in fast-paced battles.
Eventually, Nathan ended up popularizing the usage of magic runes once again. His innovation caught the eyes of the Tower of Stars, and they offered him a position as Artisan. Nathan accepted it, and he got stationed in his hometown, Digginsworth. He is generally affiliated with the Tower of Steel, and he sometimes crafts weapons for his division.
On a regular workday, Nathan sits in his office in the daytime, usually with nothing to do. At night, he patrols the slightly busy streets of Digginsworth, and sometimes in nearby cities. He works full-shift, and he only gets breaks on Saturdays. He does subdue criminals sometimes.
Magic and Tech
Magic
Plasma Manipulation: Nathan can use plasma and manipulate it either using Channeled Magic or Wild Magic. Nathan can conjure plasma using Channeled Magic by deriving it from his Energy Cell, which we will talk about later. However, he can also manipulate plasma found in the environment. He has mastered the element since it was the only one he was actually interested in during his childhood.
Illusory Magic: Back in the day, his father was a magician popular for his intricate illusions. Nathan can do the same, except he uses it more as a battle tactic. When in battle, he can create illusions of himself to confuse the enemy. He can also create more intricate illusions, but this would take utmost effort. Nathan only does this when pulling casual pranks on his workmates.
Technology and Other Items
Order and Chaos: The cream and sugar of Nathan's life.
Order: His custom revolver, which he uses to cast spells. The barrel is unusually large, and Nathan can fit 8 Rune Bullets into it. The best part about the gun (Aside from the fact that it can cast spells) is the barrel, which also took the most time to design. The barrel is actually a rune itself. When a Rune Bullet is fired, it does not disappear entirely, for it only loses its magical energy. The barrel has an inscripted clairvoyance spell etched onto it, and the barrel attracts the Rune Bullet to it, which zooms back to the barrel and fits itself again in the hole wherein it was previously stored.
As you (might) have read, the barrel is supposed to be bigger. Way bigger
Chaos: Chaos does not cast spells, but is a sub-machine plasma pistolnuff' said. The pistol itself is also crafted out of Aetherium, a rare metal usually used in magic staffs and wands. When Nathan wants to look badass, he conjures plasma and fires it through this pistol.
Rune Bullets: They cast a diverse variety of spells. When used, the chosen bullet runs out of energy and becomes unusable until it recharges its energy.
Each rune corresponds to the spell that it activates. Runes Currently In-Barrel
Symphony of Specters: Summons a Reaper when activated, which will attack the receiver of the bullet. This scythe-wielding reaper is powered by death and anguish, and will not stop until the target dies a painful death. Fortunately for the target, the reaper is mortal. Takes 20 minutes to recharge.
Crystal Shower: The rune activates in mid-air. Upon activation, a magic circle activates, and bathes everything it is facing with sharp and deadly crystal. Crystals can only shoot towards one direction, and that will be the direction the magic circle is facing. The magic circle faces the direction the bullet was shot in. Duration: 8 seconds Takes 5 minutes to recharge
Shazam! Upon hitting anything solid or losing momentum, the rune activates and creates a bright flash. Nathan, as the caster of the spell, can see through the flash. Duration: 10 seconds Takes 5 minutes to recharge
Apollo's Wrath: Summons a large column of flame upon impact. Great for moving down large crowds. Takes 5 minutes to recharge
Lullabye: Sends the receiver of the bullet into a deep sleep. Takes 30 minutes to recharge
That's all for now
Helmet: The helmet is a standard military helmet with a radio and microphone used in communication on the battlefield. It also allows night vision when activated. It has, for some reason, a hatch for the user's mouth. Nathan uses said hatch to drink his evening coffee.
Armour: Nathan's armour was built for flexibility. Plates cover most areas, but necks, elbows, knees, and other body parts which are jointed are left open. The plates are made out of cheap Mythril.
Energy Cell: This was built to work as an artificial elemental totem for people who wanted to learn the use of Channeled Magic. Nathan usually places his on his belt. It allows him to manipulate plasma using Channeled Magic.
Bag: It has all sorts of work-related stuff in it.
Laptop: There's nothing special about this laptop. Nathan uses it to receive messages. He does enjoy casual gaming sometimes...
Documents and an assortment of pens, along with a bunch of unimportant stuff.
Novelty Mug
Nathan has no idea why he has this.
Toothbrush Collection
Nathan has no idea why he has this either. The rack is proudly stationed in his office cubicle.
Other Stuff
Nathan was trained to be stealthy. Combine that with his illusory magic and you get a big deal on your hands.
Nathan, of course, has exemplary accuracy.
Nathan is sometimes requested by the higher-ups at the Order of Steel to craft weapons for the other soldiers.

@Themerlinhawk EDIT: Added some items, shook up the personality a little, and filled part of the barrel. That's pretty much it if you exclude all the grammar fixes, which make up majority of the edits
