@Weird Tales
Hey mate, I'd love to say welcome aboard, but... I've never heard of these titan's in either the DC or the Marvel worlds. Now, i might be ignorant about some of the heroes and villians across these worlds, but I've been talking with my co-Gms and neither of them know of them either.

I did do a quick google search, and only came up with that crius is actually a titan of justice.

Which I'm not sure where that leaves us...

but The characters have to be children from heroes or villians from DC or Marvel. Or, in the case of some of the characters, completely new metahumans, like my Tobias.

I was basing this off the fact that the titans appeared in a teen titans story and it was safe to say that the ones who didn't make an appearance still existed

Well, I haven't actually managed to find them anywhere in the universes- oh, actually, sorry, I did manage to find only a teeny, tiny mention that didn't actually make any sense.

To be honest, I'm not comfortable having them in this roleplay, as, while yes, we do have gods (loki, thor... ) they are actually well established and have thick story lines, and there is more then a small amount of information on them.

I wasn't planning to have them show up in the rp. They would just be mentioned by my characters

Which story? Please don't say Teen Titans Go. I think I remember reading about it in one of the comics and to me it was the directors cry for help (seriously, who the hell came up with TTG? UGH!).

Anyway, Titans just remind me of Percy Jackson... o.o Kind of gets into the whole Greek/Roman thing. And wouldn't the child of a titan be a God, since that's how that's all laid out? And wouldn't all of the Gods had to of signed the treaty? Makes for a bit of a boring story, me thinks.

But your characters are children of them? I know nothing of them, and cannot find anything about the titins anywhere beyond Crius was a titan of justice...

And Yoshi has pretty much covered the rest.

They appeared in an old story involving Donna Troy. Also these characters are modeled off of the fan stories that titans can produce hybrid children like the Olympians

They are modeled after the ones from mythology which can be found on Wikipedia.

I happen to have a very in-depth, detailed FACTUAL fan story about me and the time I wore a bow tie with Doctor Who!

Sidenote: Pretty sure the only "Gods" that exist in these worlds are of the Viking variety Hail valhalla! I mean Wonder Woman, yeah. But... that's Wonder Woman... and she has big, beautiful, full... eyes... o.o

@Weird Tales; hey, hi... just your friendly Mythology buff (obsessed nerd) here.

What's my specialty you ask..? Greek Mythology..! How coincidental..!

I will say now that through all of this interaction, I have been holding myself back... I have been stopping myself all day from saying anything because I know that once I'm let loose, I won't stop. I know my shit about this topic- this is my territory; and I don't think that many people would like my rambling, but right now, I have to step in and point out the discrepancies that I have found coming out in this conversation...

First of all; let's start with the two Titans that you have chosen as parents. Κριως Κρειος (Kreios/ Crius) and Ιαπετος (Iapetos/ Iapetus). Now, out of the two that you chose- you only got one of them right when it came to their domains. While Iapetus is the Titan God of morality, Crius is actually the Titan God of constellations. So before you go ahead, you should have probably looked into that a little bit more- did you know that they're brothers..? That they have two other brothers by the names of Koios and Hyperion..? And that Iapetus is actually one of the older of the four..? They helped Kronos in his ascent, and were known to represent the four cosmic pillars. It's actually quite the fascinating myth- not my favorite if I'm being truly candid, but still rather interesting. I've actually placed it in the hider just below if you want to give it a read over.

Now, onto the next issue- fan made stories are not considered cannon... in like anything. And as such, I hate to say it, the Titans can't be used as parentage to your characters. The stories you speak of that feature these two in them are made by fans, they aren't made by the actual creators of the DC or the Marvel Universes, and as such, they are not characters that appear in them in any way, shape or form. So we cannot accept them.

You are pushing into my territory; Percy Jackson. I actually have a roleplay for these types of characters, however, even in that, as a GM I do not accept Demi-Titans as they are far too overpowered, and completely throw the balance of the roleplay out of whack.

What you have created are Gods- not children. Gods that happen to be apart of a pantheon that doesn't fit into the universes that this roleplay is centered around. This roleplay isn't based around Myth, it's based around Superheroes and Villains... please try and keep that in mind.

I live for mythology stuff

Vicier is more of an expert then me but I can back her up and say yea those would be gods considering that titans were first and that their children were gods not Demi gods
Because Demi gods are born from a god and a human of some sort
.....even if that God dons a different shape (looking at Zeus...friggin weirdo) which creates a different species (...Zeus man)

So the only way you'll get god or child of a god would be Thor or lokis stories or the line of lucifer Morningstar in which case I'm open to discussion for siblings ^.^

Okay.... Every demi titan I've seen created is no more powerful than any other Olympian hybrid. In fact there are hardly any other demigod besides the ones fathered by Zeus so the ones in Percy Jackson are based off a template and concept.

There is no example of what a titan human hybrid is like so the assumption was they would be like a demigod

The titans had children with other immortals which create gods. That argument is flawed because there is no example of a titan having a god child with a human

Honestly though based on what the gms have said
It doesn't matter because this rp is mainly D.C. Marvel or original character (this to me means 1st generation meta human....either born or created...like lightning struck or something)
Which means titan children are a no go

So Greek mythology can be discussed all day but it doesn't change how this rp functions
So again if you want a character that's got some God background you'll want to follow Thor Loki (and their line up of Norse gods) or lucifer Morningstar (diluted like Cole because god and goddess would be their grandparents)

(And from sheer curiosity I'm gonna look up titans some more)

I know that, but I like debating the flaws behind the argument that titans can't have demigod children. They could in my opinion

Eh... probably not the best debate to have here, bud. It's like if I went into a pirate roleplay and started talking to them about vikings... You just don't :)

Ah
Well all I've found on it so far is this:
"Though theoretically possible, as Titans can take on human form, there is no known of instance of a male or female Titan having a "demititan" child with a mortal."
demigodshaven.wikia.com/wiki/Titan

Which means both yes and no
Yes they could technically have one
But no because they never did....they probably wouldn't want to either but that's my opinion on a myth

Edit: so I believe that settled it
