Jaz shook her head when the human did not have anything to tip with. "Don't worry. He is going to get John to take care of it." She said with a laugh as she swung her scythe up from the floor with one fluid motion to rest it across her back. "This journey to the Gate is quite long so we should head out as soon as possible. The River would be the fastest way to get there. But I will say mind the souls...." She said as she began to walk outside the bar.

"Why are the souls so bad?" He asked having a bad feeling by asking,Walking behind her walking a bit faster wanting to walk beside her. Feeling a bit safer being beside her. Looking around the surrounding area and feeling more scared then he was in the bar, His hands shoved into his jacket pocket.

Jaz looked as he put his hands in his coat making her laugh. "Well they may or may not have been bad people in the past...but they got the bad luck of the draw when they arrive here. Some souls make it to the next life like where I am leading you, some end up in a very demonic place or some stay here in purgatory because they are afraid of where they would end up." She said as he pulled the rope on her boat untying it. "This is how we will get there."

"Well luckily I have chosen the afterlife" He said following beside he to the boat, "Mm always thought the boat would be bigger like in those old paintings, And this must be like the River Of Styxs" He said chuckling himself at the size of the boat.

Jazzy smiled. "You are smarter than I first though. Yes, this is the River Styxs, the passageway to the afterlife." She said as she climbed onto the boat and got ready to head down the river. "Come now before anything else shows up." She said looking around grasping her scythe tightly.

"Well i mean everyone should know that one right?" The young man said walking over and onto the boat, Keeping his hands and feet in the boat afraid of touching the murky water below.

Jazzy laughed. "Well with how modern society has been molded and formed, our society in terms of intelligence has dwindled to such a point that they want to have their phones in the afterlife..." Jazzy said with a deep sigh. "Frankly...I was in a different time long...long ago." She said as she kept rowing the boat towards the gates to the christian "heaven".

"Well at this very moment i just don't wanna be stuck somewhere" The young man said sighing and sitting closer to Jazzy, "Shit did i introduce myself..eh names Johnathan Widdlewood" He said softly to the reaper. His eyes looking towards the end of the river wondering what heaven would look like to him.

Jazzy smiled. "I was once called Jazzy...well at least thats the last name I remember being called." She said looking back at the human. "Its nice to meet you but its a shame its under these circumstances." She said as she went back to rowing the boat as she looked around to make sure nothing bad was out there that could attack them.

"Yeah well i mean i guess this would be the only way we would meet" He said chuckling, Looking around as well wondering what she was looking out for. "Mmm i'm afraid to ask..but what's the matter?" He asked her moving a bit closer towards her. Wondering if he had anything in the jacket pocket to help out.

Jazzy could not sense anything too close or that would cause trouble at this hour. "It is nothing for now...But be glad you are headed to one of the nicer places. Sometimes creatures from the bad ones like to escape. That is my role in the afterlife. I guard the river Styxx and guide souls to their eternities..." She said as she moved her cloak showing the scythe. "At what ever cost and danger." She said to show that she would be able to handle anything.

"Oh well that is good your here to protect me, Thanks" Johnny said now looking around and inside the water, He had a bad feeling or strange thoughts of a monster coming out of the water to try and grab him. Well he was glad he had the reaper to protect him, He really did not want to go to hell or a worse place with these horrid creatures.

Jazzy turned the boat at a fork in the river towards the gates of "heaven". "We should be there soon, so I always like to ask...if you want to answer, that is. What do you think awaits you in your afterlife?" She asked him wondering what his answer would be.

"Good i would think my granparents and my pets..or any other family that passed away" He said rubbing his head, He didn't know what to expect when he got passed the pearly gates of heaven. He hoped it would be nice and nothing bad, Or he hoped he got get into heaven.

Jazzy nodded her head thinking over his answer. "Well then I hope your dreams would be true than. Those who make it past the gates did all they could to make it there." She said as she looked up at the celing to see the light starting to spread all around them more and more. "We are almost there." She said as she stopped rowing the boat.

"Well i hope so, I really don't want pitchforks up my ass" He said looking around at the light surrounding them, He swore he could see someone playing the harp but it could be his imagination playing tricks on him.

Jazzy looked around as they were getting closer and closer to the gate, she noticed something strange. It was too quiet. The guards should have at least announced themselves so I would not attack them... She looked around trying to at least find John the Baptist. She guided the boat up to the small dock in front of the gate. She tied to the pier and climbed off the boat. "John....Present yourself before the a reaper....if you know what's good for you." She called out loudly and actually annoyed. She was so sick of these guys taking advantage of her helping with ferrying the souls.

The light died down, revealing a winged man standing on the shore. "I'm Gabriel, head of the guard here," the angel said. "I'll take the soul from you." He turned to the dead man. "Johnathan Widdlewood," he said. "We've been expecting you. Your grandfather wants to speak with you as soon as you are processed."

Jazzy bowed her head to hide some of the angels light from her face. She knew being a reaper that she did not deserve the light so she should not look at it directly. "Here we are. Gabriel will see you out John. I wish you luck in the afterlife to come ahead." She said as she began to walk back to the boat.

"Oh okay umm thank you Miss Jazzy, For you know helping me and stuff. I really appreciate it" Johnny said to the reaper bowing his head to her, Turning to the one named Gabriel he could not believe he was meeting the gatekeeper. "My Papi wants to see me?" He asked knowing that Papi was the nickname he gave to his grandfather.
