Name: Olivia (Thought I prefer to be called V)
Age: 18
Race: Half Human/Half Elf
Gender: Female
Describe yourself in 3 words: Good with people
What skills do you have that you can offer this job: My mom was a healer elf and my dad was a human that was also very good at healing, so grew up learning how to heal others, magical and non-magical alike. I’ve worked in a tavern before and served drinks to the customers, so I know to bartend as well. If seducing is required to get the men or women to buy more products, I have done that as well.
What experiences do you have working with magical artifacts: Unfortunately I have no experience in this regard, but I am a fast learner and will work very hard to learn how to handle and work with magical artifacts.
What experiences do you have with concocting potions, salves and balms, and mixing herbs: I have plenty of experience with this. Like I said, my parents were good healers and taught me the craft.
Would you like to work full-time or part-time: I would love to work full-time. It’s just myself and I have to make a living somehow.
Do you require extensive training? Yes
Are you comfortable being left alone in the shop for extended periods of time? I’m sure I can handle it.

Name: Laila Greenwood

Age:19

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Describe yourself in 3 words: I asked my Mum, she laughed at me and said I was ‘stubborn, straightforward, and too confident for my own good’, don’t worry though, I’m sure she was exaggerating.

What skills do you have that you can offer to this job: I’ve worked in retail ever since I was sixteen - I worked in a craft shop for two years, but I had to leave when it closed down. After that I worked at a tailors, but I left after a slight… disagreement when the shop came under new management. I can deal with customers, stock, the till, you name it.

Also there’s this other thing - my mum, she does tarot and stuff like that, all that magic stuff, said I have ‘retrocognitive potential’ or some other shazam that I don’t really get? I dunno to be honest, all’s I know is that sometimes I get weird dreams, occasionally feelings, like something big’s gone down right where I’m standing and- this isn’t really relevant is it? Nevermind

What experiences do you have working with magical artifacts: I know how to safely handle them, if that’s what you mean. My older brother used to bring back all sorts of things - he was an ‘explorer’, or so he said. When I was little, he always used to sit me down and explain things very carefully to make sure I didn’t hurt myself (that’s kind of important when you’ve got an ancient magical death-scythe and a five-year-old sharing a two-bedroom house). I’d like to learn more about them though, I’ve always been interested in history.

What experiences do you have with concocting potions, salves and balms, and mixing herbs: Very little I’m afraid, I’m willing to learn and I have a passing familiarity with most stuff (enough to recognise a healing potion when I see one), but not really much more than that. I’m good with plants though - I’m studying botany at the university, although that’s more to do with how they work and making them grow as opposed to making potions and stuff.

Would you like to work full-time or part-time?: Part time please, I’m studying at the university in the city.

Do you require extensive training? Nope!

Are you comfortable with being left alone in the shop for extended periods of time?: Yep!

Dear Miss Greenwood,
I am writing to offer you the position of part-time shop tender in the Little Shop of Curiosities. I was impressed with your application and even more so with your enthusiasm to learn about the products we sell here.

Your job description is as follows:
You will be expected to:
• Tend to customers in the shop with warmth and acceptance.
• Sell artefacts, weapons and other goods with confidence.
• Mix and brew potions, salves and balms according to commission.
• Tend to, plant and harvest ingredients from the shop’s gardens.
• Display understanding and knowledge about your speciality subjects and refer to the other employees where you feel that your knowledge is lacking.
• Provide customers with advice on all purchases as necessary; advise about upkeep and care of weapons; possible side effects of consumable goods; notes on the use of spells and runes; and the availability of certain items throughout the year.
• Keep the shop floor tidy and free from spillages or mess.
• Care for other employees, even when they are notoriously difficult and stubborn wyverns.

Your working hours are fluid and will be discussed with me each week to work around your university schedule.

Any training will take place during your working hours.

Your pay will be 2 silver pieces per hour; national working wage.

Delighted once again to be accepting you as part of our working team,

@OliveYou

Dear Mr Balanos,

On behalf of myself and the other members of staff here at the Little Shop of Curiosities, I would like to offer you the full-time position that you stated an interest in within your application. However, as we are growing as a team; it would be wonderful to have you come into the shop to get to know us and perhaps show us some of your skills and knowledge.

The shop closes at 5pm most nights and the staff stay behind for one hour to clean and debrief. Please do join us then, or during the day - whichever time suits you best.

I look forward to meeting you,

Kindest Regards,
Kale
