Tempest listened to Mason talk, captivated. She didn’t know many Leoh who transformed and she had always found the process extremely interesting, especially since no one was really sure how it worked on a scientific level.

”Wow, I’m jealous. Flying must be amazing. I’ve always wished I could do that.” She had wanted to fly ever since she could remember. She couldn’t imagine how amazing it must feel to have the whole world at her fingertips, not to mention the convenience. She would never be stuck in traffic again. ”I bet you aren’t as scary as you think you are. Besides, you’ll fit right in here. We don’t really have the concept of monsters here.” She paused and made a face. ”God, I sound like Lilac.”

She smiled coyly when he winked at her, finding the light flirting entertaining. ”Of course, it must be hard to find out you’re a Leoh. I’m glad I’ve known my whole life. And it’s not like you’re alone in your aversion of the sun, I mean, there are quite a few vampires here.”

Caleb Martineau

A small blue car pulled up to the camp. They'd arrived later than they'd meant to, but they'd gotten here. A young man and an elder woman got out, both moving round to open the trunk.

"You don't have to come in with me." Caleb murmured. "This is only so you can ship me off for the summer."

His grandmother looked towards him. "Caleb... you know that isn't true. You'll benefit from coming here."

Caleb shrugged. "Delia's magic is emerging. So Attie and Gwenn are with their friends while she's 'sick', and I'm here so you don't have to deal with me. I remember what it was like for Mum and Dad when mine was coming."

Juniper paused, before nodding. "Well... yes, you might consider that a part of it. But you're also here to learn the things I can certainly no longer teach you. This will be good for you."

The youth sighed, before shouldering his bag. "Well then... can we get this over with, at least? I'm terrible at goodbyes."

Nodding, his grandmother locked up the car and accompanied him to the mess hall. Caleb caught a glimpse of some of the others he would be stuck with - a pair of diminutive twins, and a guy and girl who were likely his own age - before his grandmother let out a gleeful shout.

"Lilac!"

Lilac looked up when she heard someone call her name and broke into a grin. "Juniper!" She moved out from behind the table and went to say hello, "Oh, it's so great to see you again," She turned to the boy accompanying her old friend, "And you must be Caleb. It's so nice to finally meet you. Welcome to Camp Remedy."

"Okay, I guess I can show you something." Molly took out a little beaded wristband, something you might see for sale in the dollar store. "Levitation is a pretty easy skill, one of the first things any witch learns, but you have to know how to move energy around in order to do it."

She rested the wristband on her palm. "The first thing you have to do is feel the energy in the room, then funnel it down till it's just above your hand." As she spoke, the bracelet rose. "It looks like it's floating on air, but it's actually resting on that pad of energy you made. Simple enough; you can try if you want."

Caleb gave a small nod, watching as his grandmother embraced the faerie woman. Pulling back, Juniper looked up and down at her.

"Forty years and you haven't aged a day." she said, grinning. "I swear, Lilac, you have to let me in on your secret methods."

Turning back to her grandson, she told him a few things. "Caleb, as I'm sure you've figured out, this is Lilac. She's head councilor here, and she'll be in charge of your lessons. If you ever have any problems, I want you to know you can go to her, okay?"

"I've got it, Grandma." Caleb told her.

Sighing, Juniper moved forwards and hugged Caleb, who grudgingly reciprocated. "I love you, Caleb." she murmured, before releasing him.She then turned to Lilac. "I'm sorry, Lilac, but I'm sure you understand why I can't stay too long. I'll be seeing you!"

With that, the woman turned on her heels and began making her way to the door.

"I completely understand," Lilac smiled, "Safe travels!"

She turned to Caleb. "Alright, let me get your schedule, and then feel free to go find your cabin, settle in, get to know some campers... whatever will help you get familiar with this place."

"Levitation" Alice said with a nod. Resisting calling it a lazy parlour trick, she watched the witch making the beads float. Focusing energy into my hand is a piece of cake she thought to herself, smiling at Molly. "I'm happy to give it a try!" Once the beads were passed over, she balanced it as Molly had done, leaving it on her wrist next to the bracelets, and focused herself.

...nothing happened. She frowned more, and tried again.

"Energy focus is something I should do. Why cannae...oh don't tell me" her eyes moved to the bracelets on her arms "is this thing not letting me focus it? My abilities are a focus too... God damn it! This is unfair!" She just managed to stop herself throwing the beads across the room in anger, dropping them onto the bed instead and moving to try and get the bracelets off again - which was pointless, as they wouldn't move. After a while she just flopped back onto the bed, hitting it a few times. "Guess I am entirely useless until this is resolved" she finally said with a huff.

Torok continued to meditate for some time, the vines, shrubs, and flowers consuming his form until he was simply a bush. The boy had little control over it, he seemed to do it on a subconscious level in order to effectively hide while he meditated. The bush soon stopped growing as soon as he was consumed by it. He couldn’t hear what was going on around him anymore, as memories flashed through his mind.

These memories held no value at first, black and white images soon turned into motion pictures and muted colors with deafening silence. Before long, he was reliving days long past running through the forest or, so he thought. Slowly the images began to become clear slowly he could see himself running towards some great monster in the distance, devouring trees and destroying a place he thought of as home. He knew it was bad his instincts told him to run the other way but his anger drove him forward. The hill was just in front of him, yet he still tried to hold himself back. The top of the ridge was flooded with a bright light and as the boy reached the top of the ridge, and he was enveloped in light he opened his eyes.

His strange deep dark eyes faded and cleared adjusting to the warmth and fractured light of the sun making its way through the brush. Sound was slow to make its way back to him, the chatter and laughter of the campers in the hall nearby began again, and he could hear others walking past. A sigh escaped him, sweat dripped off his face, and he slowly regained control of his breathing through several deep breaths. He hated that, whenever he was stressed that memory would always slither its way back into his mind. He couldn’t remember how or what he did, but he was told of what he did by his mother and father. Somehow he returned to that location once last year and could sense the bones deep in the earth, it really had happened, and he couldn’t remember.

With a slight adjustment of himself he stood up from the bush, the bush slowly withered down and away no longer did it have its source of life within its grasp. He stood there in the grass for a moment regaining his sense of surroundings. He decided after a few more moments that maybe retrieving some food wasn’t that bad of an idea. So he walked back up to the mess hall, most of the other students were already eating their food while it seemed some had returned for seconds. He wasn’t picky and wasted no time making a couple ham sandwiches with veggies, he was also quick to eat said sandwiches as well.

He was about to go back outside and find where he was going to be staying yet, he couldn’t help but over hear a conversation near bye. Now Torok wasn’t known to be an eave's dropper, but he couldn’t help his keen senses at times, and one of the voices was familiar. Subtly his dark eyes glanced around only to find the source of the voice being Tempest, he remembered her. The girl he spent the last two years in classes with, she was attractive, but he never spoke to her or bothered her. Yet, he found himself curious as to if she would recognize him after his 6 inch growth spurt. The girl seemed to be talking to the lighter haired fellow who had interrupted him earlier and two smaller children at their feet. Those possessed dolls where strange yet most here are, the female one did look cute and in a way the boy reminded him of himself last year, a bit timid. Still, he couldn’t help but over hear them talk about monsters and for him it struck an unseen cord.

Still, he pushed down his slight anxiety and stepped up to the four of them, black eyes glanced at all of them for a moment. His look was stern and his deep voice was rather monotone as he spoke, “Tempest is right, you will not find any monsters here in looks or ability.” He didn’t seem to care that he was butting in to their conversation, slowly he looked away from Tempest and to the light haired boy. “However, you will find that myself and some others are monsters for the things we have done, whether we chose to or not.” The last bit seemed to hold just the slightest bit of sorrow. Again he paused for a moment looking around at all the happy campers and once more at all of them, “you all remind me of my sister” he turned and began to walk away whispering quietly “innocent” before exiting the mess hall and walking toward the cabins.

@tenma tendo @tybalt capulet @candlelitcraft

Torok was quite aware that what he said to them and Tempest was more than likely the first thing he has ever said at this place. He figured it was long enough, he had to prove at least some rumors about him were false. Him being a mute was one, he knew there were others, he did over hear one once where he was some kind of murderer. The truth wasn’t too far off. He didn’t always like being mature or cold, but people tend to mature quickly when their innocence is wasted. Traumatic events tend to do that to people.

"That... Thanks, Tempest. I, uh... I appreciate you saying that. Seriously." He looked uncharacteristically serious for a moment, eyes shining slightly. He took a slightly shaky breath and put a flirtatious smirk on again. "Maybe I can take you flying one of these nights. I swear, there's nothing like it."

He listened politely to Torok when he arrived, making no comment as the older-looking youth spoke. As the stocky young man meandered away from the little group, Mason let out a "Whew! That was a bit intense, wasn't it? My roommate, ladies and gentlemen." He ran one hand through his pale hair, raising one eyebrow in a slightly sarcastic expression, and gave his best imitation of Torok. "My dark past makes me mysterious, I swear. You don't understand, I'm a monster, man... Like, super mysterious, man." He put on his bet American accent, and muttered quietly "My god, this is going to be a long summer with that guy..."

He looked at the others standing near him. "Well, I never claimed to be an expert at accents an imitations. I don't know, though... that guy... I want to think the best of him, but he's so fu- I mean freaking intense. I guess everyone has rough stuff in their pasts, but still, it's camp, right? Have some fun, lighten up."

Suddenly, he noticed a brown-haired boy who looked about his age, standing a short distance off. "Hey! You, over there! You can come join us, if you want! We're just shooting the breeze a bit!"

"You're not useless!" Molly started to fume. "Yeah, I'd get pissed off if someone bound my magic, but it's not everything. Knock it off with the 'woe is me, I don't have my powers' crap, Alice. I refuse to put up with that all summer."

"Easy for you to say, you cannae know how it feels to be cut off from your own skills, your own existence. They're basically killing me!" Alice snapped back, clearly quite angry "not that you care. Fine, I'll leave you in peace!" and with little thought to how high up the bed was, she rolled over and jumped off from the top bunk. Wincing in pain as she landed on her feet.

Caleb blinked at the shout of the boy calling out to him. Glancing at the group, he felt an urge to try and join them... an urge to 'belong'. But then the moment passed, and he shook away the impulse. Picking up his schedule and checking where his cabin was on the map in the rule book, he stepped away.

Soon enough, he found it. Cabin 1. Aside from the two girls he could hear in Cabin 4, nobody else had actually gone out of their way to locate their lodgings. Setting his bag on the bottom bunk, he lay down on his back and looked up at the 'ceiling' above him.

It would seem he'd be here for a while. Casting a look at his schedule, it seemed he was assigned to 'Conjuration'. And, for now at least, he had this cabin to himself. Sighing and sitting up once more, he began to sort through his things.

Fei Tendo and Emilia Tendo
-- Day One || Morning || The Mess Hall --

Emilia listened to Mason talk, her expression a little more than interested. Much like he was saying, it sounded fantastic to be able to fly around and have such crazy abilities, with only one big drawback, that being the sun and a seeming unsightly appearance. She couldn't help but feel a little envious at Mason; he was still able to grow and do normal human things, even pass off as completely human most of the time. While in her case, she could see and control souls, control people if she got stronger; a perfect ability for a possessed doll. And her brother was barely any different.

When Mason suddenly thanked them, Emilia gave a smile back, nudging Fei to do the same, but he only nodded.
"No problem! We were technically born Leohs too, but we had to cope with it much like you. I'm sure we'll see a lot of each other in the upcoming weeks." She hummed clapping her hands together once. It was as she did so, that another man had entered their conversation. It was hard to tell if he was an adult or a camper, but all she knew was that her brother was more than terrified of him.

"S-Scary..." The boy whispered to her counterpart, only to be shushed by her immediately after. The way he slid behind her was more than enough to let her know that she should be a little cautious. She remained silent as the man spoke to Tempest and then Mason before making a subtle leave.
"That guy's your roommate? Good luck with that." Emilia gave a small sigh of relief, grateful that Fei wouldn't have to deal with that for a good portion of the day. Upon the slightly uncalled for impression of the intimidating man, Emilia couldn't help but arch an eyebrow. "Was that really necessary?" She questioned before rolling her eyes and smiling oh so faintly; she knew it was all for fun, but who knows what that guy has been through to give off such intimating presence? Heck, it was so strong, she couldn't even get a good look at his soul.
"S-Scary..." Fei repeated as she tugged on Emilia's sleeve.
"Okay okay, I get it. Don't worry, he won't come back." Emilia hummed, smiling to the other. She had been so focused on her brother, she didn't realize Mason calling on another stranger to join their little crew.

Okay, that was a little harsh, but she's going to need to make the most of it. Molly headed out to the common area around the cabins, hoping to get some sunlight. She took a seat on a log bench, listening to the bird song. It was rather therapeutic.

Once Alice had tested her ankle to make sure she could stand on it, and shot a glare at the back of Mollys head, she limped carefully out of the room to look around the camp. Arms crossed, and annoyed, but nothing she could do about either of her problems for now.

She matched Mason's flirtatious smile. "I'd love that." She was still flirting, but she was very serious. It sounded like an amazing experience, and she was definitely going to take him up on that at some point.

She stared when Torok walked away from them, both shocked and elated to have witnessed that. "Did he... did he just call us innocent? Did that really happen?" She snorted a laugh, simply delighted that she already had a good story to tell her friends. "That kid's been in my class for like, two years, but I think that's the first time I've heard him talk. I'm so upset, have I been missing gems like that this whole time?" She laughed again at Mason's intimation of him. "At least it should be pretty entertaining, if he goes off on dramatic tandems like that all the time."

She rolled her eyes. "I swear, some kids here are so edgy. If it's not some dark, mysterious past, it's some thirteen year old who thinks they're so cool for drinking blood." She chose not to mention that she had been that kid, all high and mighty because she could do magic. Her natural ability had done nothing to help her over-inflated ego, which had taken a few years to grow out of. In her experience, though, most Leoh were like that. It was hard not to develop a superiority complex when you were surrounded by fiction that told you you were special for having supernatural abilities. Luckily her older sister had told her to get over it.

She glanced at the kid whom Mason invited to join their conversation, and rolled her eyes when he completely ignored them, not that she expected much different. The kid gave off an anti-social vibe.

"I think I'm going to go to my cabin and get stuff set up. Want to come, Emilia?" She asked, trying to be a good inviting roommate.

“My dark past makes me mysterious, I swear. You don't understand, I'm a monster, man... Like, super mysterious, man.” Honestly he did not understand why others mocked him, was he being rude or a bit much? He was quite unsure of this. Still, this troubled him while he walked away from the mess hall, troubled him so much he was begining to become frustrated. Why does he suck so much at socializing with others? It seems to be an ongoing issue with him.

He paused while walking to the cabin stopping half-way between buildings there were a few concrete slabs of the path here. Left barren with obvious signs of an old flag pole that was no longer being used and was cut in half. The pole was painted white with spots of rust the place where it had been cut in half was at an angle, “Strange” he spoke aloud and stepped back. He dug his toes into the earth, and he slowly was able to feel the ground beneath him. Surely this would take his mind off of other things.

Sculpting was one thing he had been working on for some time now, molding blank pieces of stone into pieces of art was rather enjoyable and for him calming. So he started like he normally did with a slab of stone. Kneeling first and resting his hands on the ground he acted as if he was grabbing onto a rope or a chain, his breathing grew deep then steadied as he slowly lifted the invisible chain the concrete slabs and dirt lifted, cracked then fell to the sides of him. He gritted his teeth and seemed to struggle slightly, the stone slab pushed up through the ground. Exactly what he wanted a slab of stone that was a bit rough around the edges that stood a bit taller than him and was just about five and a half feet across the base.

He walked around the stone carefully feeling ever crack and visualizing what he could make. A few things came to mind from his sister, to the four other campers smiling in the semi-circle from earlier. Yet he decided on something not by his memories but by what he saw around him, many people, with many backgrounds, and many views of the world. All crammed together in this small camp for a few reasons, to learn how to co-exist and to learn to control. So he had found what he wanted to make, something that wouldn’t show favoritism, something simple and meaningful.

Slowly he began to work with the stone, every time he brushed the surface of it a chunk of stone would crumble to the ground leaving the surface smooth and unmarked. Slowly chunk by chunk the statue took shape, one could very easily make out three rings of stone that interlaced with each other. Next came finer detail, the rings were rounded and engraved with Celtic knot designs around the entirety of each of them. He stepped back feeling that his work was adequate in the few minutes it took him to make it. He finished out the sculpture by smoothing out the ground around it cover the surroundings with a polished Grey stone for its foundation and erected a small plaque in front of it. The plaque had two things on it, one was the outline and faded shade of an oak tree and a single word that read “Unity.” with this he was done.

He stepped back from the statue giving it one final look over before heading to his cabin. He knew full well that they were not supposed to stay out past their “Bed time” but he technically didn’t sleep anymore, just a few hours of meditation can keep him going for a few days. Still, he pressed forward stopping by the cabin to drop off his things and make sure everything was there. The cabin was rather untouched, his things were to one side where his roommates were to another. It did not take the boy long to organize his things to one side of the room, putting his clothes away in the dresser provided, hanging up a few coats, and setting up a picture of his sister on the window sill. For a moment he simply stared at the picture but with a casual sigh he continued to set up the rest of his things, taking his amulet off and laying it next to the picture and setting up his sword on its stand behind them.

Again he stepped back and looked around to make sure he wasn’t forgetting to put anything away and walked back out of the cabin. Taking his time he strolled around the campus before slowly finding the old training grounds. They were in a bit of disarray but it didn’t seem like it had been used in a little while, about the size of two football fields side by side mostly covered in concrete with some patches of astro turf and outdoor foam pads. So for the time being he took it upon himself to find a push broom and sweep up the area before beginning his training. His training is simple it is somewhat like martial arts and meditation, it helps to calm his soul.

The Classrooms, 10:00 am, June 13th 2017, Day 2

After breakfast and the morning hike, today led by Lilac, all the campers were herded off to their respective classrooms to begin ability training. Each classroom was huge, with comfortable seats arranged in a circle. They were all decorated by the respective counselors. Classroom 1 looked like the inside of a fourth grade classroom with brightly color motivational posters everywhere. Classroom 2 had lit candles on almost every surface and the walls were lined with ancient looking books. Classroom 3 had posters of rock stars from the 70s and glow in the dark stars on the ceiling.

Alice had arrived to her class...almost promptly. She even made it in time for the man to start speaking, even if she hadn't found somewhere to sit. She'd chosen something more simple for her first class - a long sleeved buttoned red shirt with the top two buttons left undone, and black denim jeans. Her hair had been brushed back but left straight.

She finally sat down, although rose soon after when he ask if everyone was ready. "Nay" she shook her head, then held her wrists out in front of her - the bracelets standing out "I cannae participate. Not with these on. I was told they were coming off for lessons."

Fei Tendo and Emilia Tendo
-- Day Two || Morning || Classroom --

The twins made it to class in the nick of time, both of them being the last two students to arrive in class. The candles in the room were a little intimidating for the dolls, as the dim light that came from them made their skin brighter than normal. Fei in particular was having a hard time getting to the seats, as their teacher just HAD to be the scary demon man.
"D-Don't worry, you'll be fine..his soul is warm." Emilia whispered as she took his hand and made their way to the last available seat.

There were two pillows on the chair, so it was pretty obvious that the chair was specifically for them. Helping each other up, the twins sat in their seat, their upper torsos up being the only things visible.

Emilia took a look to her left only to see a girl in jeans and a slightly unbuttoned shirt. She also had what looked like two bracelets on either wrist that too piqued her interest. Unfortunately, the teacher began to talk seizing Emilia's ability to ask what was up with them.

The teacher said he was going to teach them how to control their powers...and while she didn't need it herself, she knew that Fei could benefit greatly from it. He wasn't the type to display much emotion, but when he did, his telekinesis would get out of control; even to the point that she couldn't do anything...she could only hope that this class helped in some way to control Fei's powers.

Unfortunately, but fortunately, the girl to her left claimed what the bracelets did for her, piquing Emilia's interest even more. However, she kept quiet, looking on to see what the teacher had to say.
